Ancient Stoicism, which developed in Greece during the Hellenistic era and later flourished in Rome, is a school of thought. Stoicism, created by Zeno of Citium in the third century BCE, offers a comprehensive framework for comprehending reality, life, and the pursuit of happiness. The primary tenet of Stoicism is the conviction that rather than circumstances or goods, our inner state and virtue are the only fundamental indicators of happiness and fulfillment.
