Whenever we are perpetually stressed we are essentially siphoning off this vital life force energy that is here to not just sustain our lives but is here to be directed to ensure our success in life.

All right. Hello there. Welcome I'm so glad you're here. I say that every time but I am, there's like really no show without you, so thanks for being here. So speaking of giving, I am thinking about all the ways that I really actually am loving my work and loving my life right now. And I just had like a little dance party here at my desk, a little desk dancing party, and. You know, I did a crazy thing. I actually posted that on social media, which is so unlike me. I feel like I am peeling off self-limiting beliefs left and right over here, and I am celebrating that because I feel that whenever we can liberate ourselves, just the idea that we get to live a little bit more free, a little more authentic, a little more self-expressed and self-realized. Like if we get a little bit of that every day, this ends up being an amazing life. I'm going for amazing. And if you're here, you are too. So, Really, truly excites me. By the way, thanks for being on the journey with me. I wanna talk today about life force energy. Ooh, this is such a good topic. Cause we mismanage it left and right. We kind of don't fully understand it. We've certainly don't appreciate it, and we have treated our own energy like a commodity. There's a current, there's a life force energy that flows through us, but we spend it like currency and we don't often think about replenishing it. And I want us to have that conversation because I want us recognizing how it gets replenished, how it is that we spend it, how it is we can appreciate it, and how it is that we can more. Intentionally work with it so that we're living truly like the healthiest, happiest, most joyful and successful lives that are available to us. Life force energy is this thing that is constantly flowing to us and through us, and is something that is here for us. And I think until we can recognize this and honor this phenomenon, we don't get to fully utilize it. and so I wanted to have this conversation about life force energy because it's the thing that replenishes the human body that creates health. This is the foundation of health, right? There's a wellspring of wellbeing that. Is constantly being generated within the human body itself. That is a life force that we allow when our nervous system is imbalance, when we have inner balance, And I think there's this interesting interplay between energy and consciousness. It's so fascinating to me how the nervous system could quite possibly be the interface that allows us to direct our energy through our consciousness. And it's also the modulator in the sense that when the nervous system is activated, our life force energy is depleted and our consciousness is contracted. It is narrowed. It is bounded. It is confined just as our life force energy is. And so these two things go together as we are learning to regulate the nervous system and release this addiction to stress that we all have right? Like we've all got it. I've still got it. I'm still working on it. Right. It's so easy to fall into because these stress triggers are all around us. It's in the ethers, so to speak, and it takes so much intention and discipline to. Ourselves aware of our life force energy and where our consciousness is directing it because it matters. It matters so much like either we are using this life force energy to propel us, to nourish us and nurture us, and then it allows us to show up for the things that matter to us. We're in a stress response. We're cutting that off, and we're running on such limited bandwidth and fuel, and we have a limited consciousness, which means we're running on willpower, which will always give out. We're talking about an infinite energy supply versus a finite one. It is that simple, and we make it complicated. It isn't complic. This is so fun to dance in this territory of being connected to your life force energy of giving yourself time to rest. And I had rest all wrong. I was thinking for the longest time that I was resting my physical body, but then I would also listen to an audio track or I would also be reading a book. I am a voracious reader and learner. It took me a long time to realize that's a form of rest, but it's not. Rest we need time to rest. We need time to be still, to be with ourselves. And this is also why I love coherence training in general, is because it gives me a few minutes to focus my breath on my heart space to connect with a renewing emotion like joy, appreciation, love. It gives me a moment to reset my energy systems and my consciousness and rest. Because when I'm parasympathetic dominant, I know I'm resting my brain and my nervous system. I am resting my mind and my body, and this benefits me and my life and the, and everybody in it in so many ways. I'm replenishing my life force. And now I have it available, and this is also why I do the take five practice throughout the day. I will just stop when I can sense a stress response coming on. I know my trigger. Like I, I know how it shows up. I know how it shows up in my physical body, my mental body, my emotional body, right? I, I'm able to recognize it early and earlier. The more I practice this, and the same will happen for you, the more you practice this, you'll be a finer instrument. Right. You will know how to play, like you will be playing with your nervous system, with your life force energy in a way that serves you. You'll be the symphony director of a beautiful piece. And so catching it early and earlier becomes like, oh, so much more fruitful, so much more beneficial. And it's, So much fun when you start playing this game. I was recently listening to a podcast and I don't remember what podcast it was or who it even was, but somebody was talking about, The human experience is really about the interplay between energy and consciousness and that they are separate. It was a light bulb moment for me because I went, ah, yes, yes. That is why we're here to play with energy and consciousness and to realize that we have this energy, this life force energy to play with this, this intelligent energy that is constantly here for us, running through us, ready to be directed by us, for us, and that the role of our consciousness has. An important role there. And that consciousness is really awareness. Are we aware of our energy? Are we aware? Are we in the seat of this wise witness? Who is witnessing where we are directing our thoughts, where we are holding our emotions or where we are guiding them? And. The more intentional we are about tending to our nervous systems, tending to our thoughts and our emotions, the more powerful we get, the more powerful we are as creators in this life. And this is exciting to me. This is thrilling and because my burnout meant that my nervous system was fried. I would've never stumbled upon this. I think it's fascinating that we can go from burnout to all out in our lives, and it's really truly because the nervous system is the thing we have to heal to really work our way through burnout. And actually it's this sensitivity and this ability to work with our nervous systems that allows us to direct the energy of our lives to create what we want. So Life Force Energy. I've been thinking a little bit about this and being very curious about how the sympathetic nervous system is the fight, flight, freeze, fond response. That is a huge expenditure of energy, right? On the most fundamental level, it's moving all of our energetic resources to the extremities of the body, and it's moving it out of the prefrontal cortex and into the reptilian reactive survival center of the brain. And we lose intelligence when we're in this space. And what we're accessing is the capacity to react quickly. Now, if we're just looking to react as quickly as possible and we're doing that with most of our cognitive function offline, then we're gonna end up kind of doing like not such good things, right. It is actually through the parasympathetic system that we restore our life force. There is a natural replenishment that takes place to the physical, mental, emotional, spiritual body of the human being that is only achieved through allowing the sympathetic nervous system to. To be regulated. This allows the parasympathetic system to be dominant. Really we can do this and we can do this really easily with a little intention and a little practice. We can regulate our own nervous systems and it is a simple practice and it allows us to cultivate so much awareness and intentionality and intuition into our lives. And I think without those things, you just don't have a chance. At a successful life, you really don't. You're gonna have to work a hundred times harder than anybody else who's plugged into their own creative genius. It's just true. I learned it the hard way and I'm so grateful for my learning. I am so grateful cuz look at the position I'm in right now. I was actually just thinking about this earlier today, giddy to myself that this is how I get to spend my life. I get to spend my life talking about the things that mean so much to me. Talking to people. My clients have truly become. Friends, like I love these people so much. I love being on the journey of life with them, and I really feel like that's what I am. I am on the journey of life with these magnificent people and with you, I'm so grateful that you're here. And if I hadn't been consumed in stress and if I hadn't made a mess of my life, then I would've probably never really done the research and the studying that I've done to understand what stress does to the physical body, What it does to the brain, how it manipulates our choices, how it distorts our thinking. Like it literally alters the way we perceive and process the world. And when that cycle gets perpetually activated, when we have chronic stress, it becomes like a trauma and it ends up continually activating the stress. So we end up with a stress response and a stress reaction that then leads to another stress response that leads to another stress reaction. And it's this loop that we can't get out of. But we can turn it all around, which is the best news ever. I really wanted us to talk about the life force, and I wanna tell you that your life force energy gets spent. When you're in a stress response unnecessarily. Right. I was telling you about how like the metabolic activity in the brain moves to the survivor reptilian regions of the brain. I was talking about how all of your energetic resources get siphoned redirected to the extremities so that you're ready to take action. And when we don't, That actually leads to excess and muscle tension cuz there's all of this energy and there's all of these resources that have been put there and we're still like seated at our desk, right? We're checking email or we're like tending to a client or a patient or whatever. We are not literally running away, but our bodies think we're supposed to be right. And. We end up feeling so exhausted and depleted because our life force energy has been literally drained from us, and this is why rest is so important. Relaxation is so important. Getting coherent becomes a superpower in situations like this because if you're continually running on this stress response, you will exhaust yourself. It's inevitable. You've got to find a skillset that allows you to disrupt and dismantle this stress response with so much compassion and so much friendship and partnership so you can recoup your life force. And it's not lost on me that we were even given a parasympathetic nervous system. When we start looking at what becomes available when we become parasympathetic. It's truly incredible. Your consciousness expands. Your body on a physical level begins to regenerate and rejuvenate. It even alters your cells down to the level of D n A. It shifts what genes get transcribed, so process known as epigenetics when the environment. That's inside your body determines what genes get transcribed. And we know that the more stressed we are internally, the more we are activating stress related hormones, proteins in genes, and that the more resilient or restorative we are, the more we're in a parasympathetic. The more regenerative and resilient we are. We're literally rejuvenating down to the level of our dna n a. We found that tase, this enzyme that gets produced that actually helps restore the integrity of your d n A is transcribed when we are in periods of restoration and relaxation when we're parasympathetic. So I see this as so clearly an indication that there is this natural life force energy that we've been given, that we will naturally replenish when we know how to work with it, when we know how to work with our nervous system. So we allow this natural replenishment to take place. This is remarkable. We spend so much time like making sure we're near an outlet for our phones, right? Like we fuel our cars, we recharge our phones and for some reason we think it's like so inconvenient that we have to do that with ourselves. I'm just like, what is even happening? And as I have been so interested in my own wellbeing, in my full on thriving, and as I have been fiercely interested in how it is. Our thoughts and our emotions determine our actions, determine our behaviors, and how the nervous system influences all of that. You quickly realize that the way to live a magnificent life is truly through a great partnership with your nervous system. Then this is how you. Accessing and liberating a constant, continuous, boundless life force energy that is always ready to flow to you and through you. And for you, imagine that. Imagine that, that there's a constant current of. Ready to flow to you and through you and for you. And every time you are in a stress response, every time your sympathetic nervous system is activated, you are essentially cutting off that power supply. If you think about it in those stark terms, you will think twice. About your relationship to stress, because for so many of us, we've been taught that stress was our friend. I mean, we had been able to handle incredible amounts of stress. We had huge battery packs, right? Like our reserve was a massive, and so we could hang in that paradigm and our egos kind of liked it. We liked this idea. That we could handle this much stress. And when we got to the point where we couldn't, it's a little bit devastating. It's a blow to the ego, but I want you to see that that blow has to happen for you to see the greater truth of what's underneath it, which is like, oh my gosh, there's this intelligent life force energy that's here trying to reach. And my ego thinks it knows better. It's like we want to work with intelligence instead of the intellect. And in so many ways, what the smart program ultimately becomes about is allowing the intelligence of your nervous system and the intelligence of your emotions become a feedback, intelligent feedback about how your intellect, how your thinking. Is actually fucking you. Truly how it is disrupting your ability to thrive and be truly successful in this life. Because a chronically activated, sympathetic nervous system destroys your physical health. Rex havoc on your mental health will decimate your emotional health and disconnects you. From your spiritual health, it will limit the flow of life force energy to and through your body, which then cannot work for you. I am so passionate about this. I want us developing the ability to be more intelligent, to recognize that the intellect is so much fun and it is a tool. Your thinking mind is a. You've not been taught how to use it. I had not been taught how to use it, and I am so grateful that now I have this combination of nervous system training that is so effective, so efficient, and I've got it matched with the mindset model that allows my mind be to be used as the tool it was meant. To create a life that I love and it takes courage to do this work. To see your stress response in the moment that it's arising and to bring compassion there and understanding, oh my gosh, this is a perceived threats. This is where we doubled down on self friend. This is where we doubled down. We're like, oh baby, I am not giving up on you. Like I got you. We acknowledge that this is happening. We accept that this is happening, and we breathe. We get coherent, and then we can redirect. We have to be willing to be courageous enough to see our own vulnerability, our own humanity. That is the only thing that's gonna get us through this, and I love that. That's the medicine. I love that the solution to being a stressed out maniac is my own humanity. How about that? I get to be more human. I get to be more whole. I get to actually connect to my heart. I get to actually connect to my life force energy, and I get to realize that that's the thing. I've been directing actually misdirecting this whole time. And now I get to direct it towards the things that I actually care about. And this works. This is like an effective recipe. For health, happiness, and success in this life. What like, what is even happening? How come I didn't know about this sooner? Oh my God, I'm so happy you're here. You know about it now. You know about it. Question is what you gonna do about it? What are you gonna do about it? Are you gonna come join me? Are you gonna come join me and change your. I hope you are Okay, wait a second. Can I just talk about the transformations that are happening? In the first week of the SMART program, phobias Gone. Excessive Reactivity Gone. Relationships improved dramatically. I cried, I cri. because I just thought, this work is so potent. It's powerful. It changes lives. It changes people. It changes families. Mm, so good. So, so good. I don't know where else you can go to use your burnout. As the raw energy you need to actually create a life you wanna live. Mm, truly, what a gift. I could cry. Now just thinking about it. I want you to have such a magnificent life, and I want you to know that whatever it is that you're going through, keep going. Keep. And rest. Rest. This is where you get your life force energy back. This is where you rally your resources so that you can keep going and whatever direction actually lights your soul up. Because up until now you've been living by a definition of success that wasn't made for you. But there's one that is, there's one that's unique to you. You get a one in 8 billion unique blueprint for health, happiness, joy, success in this life. You have your blueprint, you've got to write it. And I want you to write one that allows you to be successful today. Now, relax, rest. Let your life force energy flow through you. And then go, okay, what Now? What's next? What do I want next? This is truly the most magnificent turning point, and I truly believe that people that are burning out, it is an awakening because you are here to lead a revolution and evolution in human consciousness, and it starts with yours.
