After a run of amazing guests I find myself alone on the podcast today, I wanted to talk about the impact the past, present and future has on every day.
A memory popped up on my social media, a picture of me pre Long Covid.
I looked at the picture and remembered, it was a beautiful day, the fun I had with a good friend, the good food and drink, the laughs we had, and then I went off to the gym, and that was the selfie that I had captured, the picture evoked such strong feelings, memories of days gone by, and I felt loss, grief, anger and frustration. I really don't want to feel like that, but I understand we have to lean into all of our feelings. I tried to work through my feelings and revisited the picture several times. I started to feel gratitude for that day, for the memories, and I opened myself up to allow myself to take a gentle walk around other memories I have, and enjoy thinking of those.
I wanted to share this and much more with you guys on the podcast today, as I feel embracing the past, present and future is important when you are working towards living your best life, with chronic illness. I hope you find this episode useful; as always please take care.
