Today, our email is from Jessica, who lives in Syracuse, NY. Jessica asks, so it comes as no surprise to me, but 8 Democrats caved in the Senate, and it looks like the government may reopen soon. So, I was wondering if this turn of events is a surprise to the panel. Also, it seems that this might turn back the Blue wave of last week's election results. What do you see as the fallout from this change of heart by these Democrats? Will their base punish them for just giving in?
