D:           Welcome to Coffee and Conversation for ESL listening. I'm Donielle.

K:           And I’m Khrystyna, so grab a cup and join the conversation.

D:           Well, hello. Hello. We are back.

K:           Yes, it's nice to be back.

D:           Yeah. And actually, third time's a charm, right?

K:           Yeah, we've tried a couple times and I feel like it just wasn't going for us and, but hey.

D:           Yeah. We say third time's a charm when you try something and it doesn't work and you try it again and it doesn't work. And so, third time you hope that it will work and I think it's working. Yay. So we're here.

K:           Perfect. Sounds good.

D:           Yeah. So, anything new and interesting in your corner of the world?

K:           Oh, I mean, I feel like the world is new and interesting right now with everything going on.

D:           Yeah. More interesting than I really would like.

K:           Yeah. Yeah. Yes. We live in interesting times as they say.

D:           You know, I long for the boring days.

K:           Yeah. I am there with you, but you know, you’ve just got to keep going and do what you do and stay human and all that.

D:           Yes. Stay human.

K:           Right, right, right. We'll get through this.

D:           Yes. Yes, we will. Okay, so today our topic is [drum roll] movies.

K:           Oh, that's, one of your favorite things to talk about, I think.

D:           Is it?

K:           I think so.

D:           I don't know. I feel like I used to watch a lot more movies than I do now.

K:           Really?

D:           I don't know. Yeah. How about you?

K:           Know. Yeah, I would say so too. I think I read more now rather than watching movies because, especially during the week, I would come home from work and my husband, we would pick a movie and watch. And now sometimes after dinner, we'll go to the living room and watch a movie or tv and my husband's like, oh, what do you want to watch? And I'm like, I'm just going to read here. You watch whatever you want. I'll just read.

D:           Yeah. Well, I think we've talked about this too, when we were talking about television shows. Same thing goes for movies. Well, you know, now we have access to literally hundreds and hundreds of movies and you get that, they call it something like the paradox of choice or something - when you have so many choices that you get kind of paralyzed, you're like, I, I can't even think of anything to watch. Forget it, you know?

K:           that's true because I noticed just the other day. My husband and my son were somewhere out there doing something, whatever. So, I was by myself in house and I was like, oh, this would be a good time to watch some sort of like a mindless little rom-com or whatever, right, that I don't usually get to watch. And I have scrolled through all the, apps and subscriptions and channels I have. Could not find anything that sounded good to me. I'm like, come on.

D:           It's so annoying. I mean, how much money do we spend on this stuff? I know. Well, I canceled Hulu, so I saved some money there.

K:           You did?

D:           You know, I did. Oh. Anyway. So, okay. So yeah, let's talk about movies and genres of movies. Of course, a, nice French word that we like to butcher. I don't know how they say it in French, but…

K:           Genre.

D:           But I'm sure it's not how we say it.

K:           I am pretty sure it's not.

D:           We're real good for that. We borrow words from other languages and then we put our own horrible spin on them.

K:           Yes, yes. But you know I don't think it's just English that borrows, I feel like there are other languages. There are just some universal words that you use them in every language,

D:           Yeah. Yeah, for sure. So anyway, we got a lot of genres out there. What would you say are the genres, the types of movies, that you watch the most when you do watch movies?

K:           Hmm. Let's see. I do, well, you know, I like romcom every once in a while.

D:           Romcom. Yeah. Short for romance, comedy [Romantic Comedy].

K:           Right? Something like that. I do like a good mystery or detective story. I do like a historical drama.

D:           Okay.

K:           Or something based on true events, but not quite documentary. I still want the whole movie part of it.

D:           Right. No learning here.

K:           Nah. I also, I like a good, vampire…I wouldn't say necessarily a horror movie, but a good vampire, a ghost story every once in a while.

D:           A ghost story that's not a horror. Okay.

K:           Well, I don't know how to like, yes, it's a ghost story, but it's not like full-blown, like really scary…

D:           so a little creepy, a little eerie, maybe - mysterious, more than scary.

K:           Yeah. Yes. Yeah. And a good vampire movie too, like a werewolf of vampire. I like those two. I think I like some of the classic movies.

D:           Oh yeah, me too.

K:           the old timey ones. I guess I like movies. I don't think there's really a genre that I don't like. Maybe there are some that I prefer more than others, but I wouldn't say like, oh, I wouldn't watch that. It kind of depends.

D:           Yeah, there's definitely some genres that I could pass on and I do pass on.

K:           yeah, which ones.

D:           like sci-fi stuff, aliens, and some of those Marvel, superhero things, that's not my kind of thing. I know you're probably pretty much forced to watch that with a son and your husband.

K:           I don't mind those Actually, I do like some of the superhero movies. I've seen so many of them that now you watch 'em and, they're kind of all the same. Yeah. But I do like sci-fi and, I like all the Star Wars movies and I like Star Trek and, all that stuff. And there's some good alien shows out there, so…

D:           Uh, all right. I haven't really found one, but okay. I probably haven't tried too hard either. I personally, rom-coms are okay sometimes. Sometimes they're all right. Sometimes they can be a little cheesy. A little corny. Those are some good words.

K:           Yes, those are very good vocabulary words to explore.

D:           And actually I had to, look it up 'cause I was like, how do you explain corny and cheesy? It's really difficult, you know, it's kind of like extra sentimental or cliche, something you've seen a lot and it's like, oh my gosh. Okay. That again, like you roll your eyes.

K:           I like how you explained some words with some other words that need explanation. Cliché.

D:           Yeah. Yeah. Well, that's the problem with these words. They're really hard to explain. Like I was trying to explain to a student the other day the word petty,

K:           Mm,

D:           but the meaning like how a person can be petty in their behavior, not, you know. Well, and so I go to look it up and every other definition, except the one I was looking for was coming up and I was like, I don't know how to explain it, so let me tell you a story of somebody being petty and I think you'll get it. And she's like, okay.

K:           Well, and I think sometimes it's easier to just explain it with examples or stories or something like that. But I would say with rom-coms, when you're talking about cliche and corny, the first thing comes in my mind is predictable.

D:           Yes.

K:           You know exactly what's coming and that's when you're going to start rolling your eyes and all.

D:           Yeah. Or you know, when it's a crazy situation, like that would not happen and it's just too perfect. You know, you are like, ah, come on.

K:           Yeah.

D:           So I do like a good comedy, definitely like a good comedy. And you know, this is coming. Horror movies. Gotta have the scary movies.

K:           Yes. You are big on horror movies.

D:           I am, yeah. And in fact, last week or a couple weeks ago, I went to the movies, to the theater, to watch the new Stephen King movie. And, you know, I had to go by myself because nobody's coming with me to these things.

K:           Your husband is not a fan.

D:           Oh no, he is...it's not happening. No way. I have to go by myself. And it was really funny because I go in there and there was one other person in the theater.

K:           Oh my gosh.

D:           Yeah. So it was the two of us watching this movie.

K:           Oh my gosh, that's so funny.

D:           I should have been over there like, hey, you want some popcorn? Hey.

K:           So funny thing, I went to a movie theater with one of my friends, a couple weeks ago when the new and the last Downton Abbey movie came out.

D:           Oh, so you saw it.

K:           I did see it.

D:           I've been wanting to see it.

K:           It's good. You should see it.

D:           It okay? Yeah,

K:           In fact, I think you should fly over to Illinois and come see it with me. 'cause I would totally go see it again.

D:           Okay, Sure! Let's make it happen.

K:           Yeah. But what we did, which we did this last time when we went to see Downton Abbey movie, the previous one that came out,

D:           Right.

K:           We brought a thermos of tea

D:           Oh my gosh.

K:           and scones.

D:           Oh my gosh.

K:           So we're sitting in the movie theater, watching the movie, and it's all sappy and you know how it is - another word there.

D:           Oh, sappy. Another one.

K:           Yes. And I look around and all these people with their buckets of popcorn and soda and our little thermos with tea and little scones - dorks.

D:           That is hilarious. I love it.

K:           It was fun. It was good.

D:           All you needed was like some kind of butler or something to come in and you know, do the little, how they bend down…

K:           “My lady”

D:           Yeah.

K:           I wish, but unfortunately, I would say 99.9% of people in the audience were women. There might have been one man in the room, one guy, that was it.

D:           Yeah, I could somehow see that.

K:           Yeah, so. It was fun.

D:           Okay. That's really cool. So, also talking about movies like movie, interests.

K:           Mm-hmm.

D:           So here's another word I'm going to throw out here. Um, a phrase, actually, a guilty pleasure.

K:           Oh,

D:           And a guilty pleasure is something like we just talked about, cheesy, corny, sappy, that you're like, I'm kind of embarrassed to say that I like it 'cause it's not really a good movie but I like it somehow. Do you have any of those?

K:           Oh. So I can't think of one that I have, but I can tell you my husband has one.

D:           Oh, okay. Let's hear it.

K:           Ah, and I was forced to watch that thing probably 17,000 times.

D:           Oh my God.

K:           And it's…

D:           It's going to be so bad.

K:           It's, so bad that it's actually like good, bad, good, bad.

D:           Well, yeah, I mean, they do say that like “so bad that it's good.” There's a lot of movies like that.

K:           So his guilty pleasure movie is Big Trouble in Little China.

D:           Oh, wow. Okay.

K:           He can watch it over and over and over again and

D:           I don't think seen that.

K:           He knows it's bad.

D:           Oh, oh yeah. It doesn't matter. Sometimes it doesn't matter that it's bad. You just like it anyway.

K:           Yeah. Yeah.

D:           I don't know that I've ever seen that movie, but I will say I know the movie and it's from the 1980s, right?

K:           Yes. Yeah, yeah.

D:           The 1980s. Yeah. And that is the decade of the cheesy, corny, so bad that it's good movies, and I've got a couple.

K:           Yes. Well. Right. Well, you do or you for sure do. But when we were in San Francisco, we had to go to Chinatown because that is where the movie was filmed.

D:           Okay.

K:           Mm-hmm.

D:           That's hilarious. Now I feel like I need to see this movie so I can see what the...

K:           oh,

D:           You’re like, no, you really don't have to.

K:           But what are some of your movies that you really like from 1980s?

D:           And they are from the 1980s that my guilty pleasures are from the 1980s. And when you said that one, it reminded me of another one, but the one that I was thinking about first is this movie called Back to School.

K:           Oh.

D:           It's bad acting in there, a cheesy, romance that is ridiculous. And it's just, it's got it all. But the jokes are so funny. The one-liners, A one-liner is… I don't even know how to explain it. It's one line that you say that's just really funny.

K:           Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.

D:           One of those quotable things. And to this day, I quote this dumb movie all the time. I've probably quoted it to you too, and you don't even know. It's really stupid, but funny.

K:           Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.

D:           And then there's another one, it's called Mannequin, from the eighties.

K:           I know that one. Yes, I have. I've watched that one.

D:           It's so bad that it's good, right?

K:           Yes. Yes. Oh, that's funny. You know, funny things you say about quoting. When my husband and I were dating, we went to movie theaters a couple times and here and there, and we watched this movie that my husband told me later, that because I found that movie funny and I was laughing and enjoying. That's when he realized like…

D:           You were “the one”!

K:           I was “the one” apparently.

D:           do you know which movie it was?

K:           Yes, it was Anchorman.

D:           Oh, of course.

K:           Yes, yes. We went to the movie theater to watch it when it came out and he just, I guess, was so impressed by my sense of humor and liking the movie that he decided to marry me. Uh, yeah. So, we were just watching it the other day and I was like, gosh, it's been 21 years since we saw that movie.

D:           Oh

K:           the very first time.

D:           Oh my goodness!

K:           Now you know how many years we've been married!

D:           Yeah, exactly right. Holy cow. You know, every time I talk to you, it seems like you're watching that movie, and that was going to be my next question. What's a movie that you see over and over and over again? And I already knew that was one.

K:           Well, that was one. I would say Star Wars. I feel like we watch Star Wars a lot.

D:           Oh my God, I don't even want to watch it once.

K:           Again, I don't, I don't mind it.

D:           Oh, sorry.

K:           yeah.

D:           Sorry. all you Star Wars fans out there, but aahh, yuck.

K:           they're actually pretty good. But it, I think we're just all a Star Wars family, so we really like it.

D:           Yeah.

K:           of us. So, I don't mind watching it at all. That might be the one that we always…

D:           Really.

K:           If we can't decide what to watch, let's just watch Star Wars.

D:           Yeah. Yeah. I've got two of those that I haven't watched in a long time, but they're movies that I've seen multiple times and I can almost quote the whole thing. Yeah. And the first one is Office Space.

K:           Oh yeah. Yes.

D:           Oh my gosh. So quotable.

K:           I think that's how we figured out we were in the same wave when it comes to humor. 'cause we used to quote Office Space between us when we worked together.

D:           Yeah, we sure did.

K:           Yeah. Oh my gosh, yes. I haven't seen it in a long time.

D:           I haven't either.

K:           ah, I need,

D:           I think I need to remedy this. I need to see this again.

K:           Yes, yes, yes. Oh, that one's funny.

D:           That's a great one. These are all old movies, but they're still really good. You guys really ought to check it out. Office space, if anyone's worked in an office and. It really hits different for me too, because I literally used to work in an office where there was a guy, he wasn't my boss, but he liked to think he was everybody's boss. And he literally talked like the boss in that movie.

K:           Oh gosh.

D:           Yeah. And we were all like, oh my gosh, this is Lumberg.

K:           I remember sometimes, when we were teaching at night, you would come in my classroom. It's like, so I'm going to need you to, uh, come in. I'm like, oh my gosh. Not Office Space again.

D:           I know. I know. Guys, you gotta see it. It’s so funny.

K:           And we always struggled with the printer. So that was like, that was right there.

D:           Well, the best thing was, so when that movie came out, I was working in an office. It was a law firm, and there's a scene in the movie where I can't quite quote it because it's some language issues there, but he makes a comment about the printer and the error code that he gets and it says, PC load letter, and he is like, what is that?! He doesn't quite say it like that, but that's the idea.

K:           Yeah.

D:           And my printer at my work at the time would get that exact same error code. It just meant that your paper was out and you needed to replenish it.

K:           My gosh.

D:           And so, every time I got the error code, I would yell out the scene [the line] in that movie.

K:           Oh, that's so funny.

D:           It's a good one. And the other one that I used to watch a lot and also haven't seen in a while is Wedding Singer.

K:           Oh my gosh. You are right. I have not seen that one in a long, long time.

D:           So quotable, so funny.

K:           It is, it is a good one. You know another one that's from that era that I used to like watching, but I haven't seen in a while. My Best Friend's wedding, I feel like it was really popular at some point in time.

D:           Um, I'm trying to remember if I've seen it or not. I'm not sure.

K:           Julia Roberts…

D:           She was in a bunch of movies around that same time and I feel like I get them all confused. Yeah, I don't think I saw it.

K:           Huh. It was pretty popular.

D:           All right. Yeah, I guess I should check it out. Well, let's move on to our next topic: movie theater or stream at home? Obviously, we stream at home a lot nowadays, and I think probably everyone would agree that we really don't go to the theater that much anymore. Do you like to go to the theater or do you prefer to stay at home?

K:           You know, it depends. I think for the most part, I prefer to stay at home, but there's a certain attraction in going to a movie theater every once in a while.

D:           Yeah.

K:           Um, but it also depends on the movie, you know? Sometimes if you really want to see a movie that just came out rather than waiting for it to be available to stream, then I'll go to a movie theater. Kind of like with Downton Abbey, you know, I was like, I'm not going to wait. I want to go now. Or, I would say, the recent one that I went with my family; we went to see the new Superman movie.

D:           Oh, of course.

K:           It was good, actually. It was really good.

D:           I know; everyone says it’s good.

K:           It was very entertaining. Yes, very entertaining and really good movie to watch right now with everything going on in the world.

D:           I have heard that. Yes. Maybe I need to break down and check that movie out.

K:           You know, the thing about [the] movie theater, like right now, I feel like movie theaters are not what they used to be. It's a lot more comfortable. One of the theaters here in town they have those lounge chairs where you push the button and you go all the way back and put your feet up and all that. Oh, it's wonderful. And then, speaking about that, sometimes it's really nice 'cause you just relax, but sometimes it's hard to stay awake depending on the movie that you're seeing.

D:           Yes, that's a problem.

K:           So, I have a story. My friend and I took our boys, so she has a couple boys, and I took my son to go see the Dogman movie. It, it's a,

D:           I don't know what that is.

K:           It's based on books; it's very popular with kids, the Dogman book series. And they came up with a movie, like [an] animated movie and stuff. So, they really wanted to go see it. And I was like, oh gosh, I don't know if I'll enjoy this at all. So, I'll tell you, my friend and I had the best nap in a long time. It was great.

D:           An expensive nap.

K:           Yes, expensive, but it was so worth it because the kids loved the movie, and we had a great nap, and we were comfortable in those nice lounge seats. I was like, I can do this. Yeah, I can do this.

D:           Nice. Nice.

K:           Yeah.

D:           That's funny. Well, I was going to actually talk about that too. 'cause there are these different kinds of theaters here and I wonder, how much difference there is between our theaters and maybe in some other countries and not even with other countries. This is really funny. So, my niece and nephew came down a few months ago and we went to the movie theater and we walk in and again, it was one of those situations where there was really nobody in the theater. I don't know what it is.

K:           What kind of movies are you watching?

D:           Every day I am like, okay, they're going to close this theater down 'cause there's never anybody here.

K:           Oh my gosh.

D:           But anyway, so we go in and the kids went in first and they got their popcorn and their drinks and stuff, and they're just kind of wandering around and I'm like, well, sit down. Sit down. And they're like, well, where? And I'm like, I don't know. Wherever you want. I don't care. Pick a seat. It's empty. Right?

K:           Ah.

D:           And they were looking so confused and I was like, guys, just pick a seat. And they're like, well, what's our seat number? And I'm like, seat number? I was like, I don't know what you're talking about. And she was like, I don't know what you're talking about. Because [at] their theaters, they get a seat number and ours, we don't do that. I've never seen that before. So, it was like, wow, culture shock.

K:           Yeah. Yes. I probably would be the same way because here in movie theater[s] in our town, you have to buy tickets with the seat numbers.

D:           Wow!

K:           Now, the cool thing is you can buy them ahead of time online, so you get to pick your seats.

D:           I mean, that's great, but certainly isn't needed in my theater.

K:           Well, that’s a whole different issue.

D:           It's like when you make a reservation at a restaurant and you walk in and there's nobody there and you're like, uh, I have a reservation.

K:           That's true. Oh my gosh.

D:           Could you imagine? Oh my gosh. I was like, wow, clearly I haven't been to a theater in Illinois in a long time because things have changed.

K:           Yep. Yep.

D:           That's so funny. Um, what else? Oh, this is something I want to talk about 'cause I think this is a really funny topic. We said the word cliche before.

K:           Yep.

D:           So cliche is like something that you see over and over and over again. It's not fresh. It's like, oh, come on. You know, this is overdone. That kind of thing. So movie cliches, movie, unrealistic things that happen that is like a pet peeve, that annoy you. Do you have any idea what I'm talking about and I'll… Well, I'll give you an example and I think you'll know what I'm saying. Okay. So like whenever you see a scene where somebody's having a phone conversation and then they end the conversation, but they just hang up, they don't say goodbye, and you're like, what? What kind of a world are you living in that you don't have some kind of closing to this conversation.

K:           That's rude.

D:           You don't just hang up. Nobody does that. And I always think. Man, people in other countries, if they see our movies, they're probably like, wow, that's, that's weird. They, they just end conversations like that there. No, we don't. Okay.

K:           Huh. Let me think what other kind of like cliches or things that drive me nuts that I've seen.

D:           Well, while you think, I'll tell you another one, because I've thought about this. I didn't give you a warning, so you have to think about it. So, this is a personal one. I hear a lot of people say over and over, certain ones that a lot of people find annoying, but this is one that I never hear anyone talk about, but it drives me crazy. If you ever see a scene where someone is brushing their teeth,

K:           Mm-hmm.

D:           there's no toothpaste, they just spit out. They don't rinse their mouth, like, who's brushing their teeth like that?

K:           Well, you're really paying attention to these movies.

D:           Really? You don't… there aren't things like that that you notice that you think are weird?

K:           Well, there are some things that as I'm watching a movie, I'm like, well, well, that's not, you know, that's not realistic, or come on. But I don't think there's like one thing that I see through several movies that I think, oh yeah, again, they're doing this again. I don't think anything stands out to me like that, that I've seen it in maybe several movies that happened.

D:           Well, I guarantee you the next time you see someone in a movie brushing their teeth, you're going to remember what I said because they absolutely do not brush their teeth. It's so weird.

K:           You know what drives me nuts sometimes when I watch these superhero movies or whatever when there's some sort of like a fight or something like that, and then somebody falls out of the window or from the fifth story and then they just get up and start walking, like nothing ever happened. I'm like, you would be dead. Come on.

D:           Exactly.

K:           So, yeah.

D:           Um, let's see. Another one that I think is funny, um, oh, this always happens too. Whenever there's a scene where someone is going to get on a bus… I can see you're laughing. You know what I'm talking about because it's true. They sit there and yap, yap, yap. Have this giant conversation and meanwhile, the bus driver's just casually waiting for you to finish your conversation to board the bus. And as soon as you do, then they leave. It's like, come on. It's really annoying.

K:           Yeah, that would never happen in real life.

D:           No. Can you imagine me trying that? I'd be screamed at.

K:           Yeah. No, absolutely not.

D:           One more.

 Khrystyna: Alright.

D:           In a bar, they order a drink, they order it, the drink comes and they walk out. They never drink the drink.

K:           I remember seeing that. Oh my gosh. No, no, seriously, you really pay attention to these things.

D:           Seriously, you don't notice it? Okay. Well maybe it's these movies that I get bored and so I'm like, well, let me find something to entertain myself.

K:           Oh my gosh. I sometimes notice how like I'm watching a movie and you know, it's something that like, let's say it's some sort of a vampire movie, right? Or a werewolf movie.

D:           Yeah, let’s say.

K:           And I'll be like, oh, come on, this would never happen. Like, why would you do this? And I remember my husband looks at me, he’s like, you do realize it's a movie about vampires and werewolves that don't exist, but this is what you're mad about.

D:           You know, it's called suspension of disbelief. You can let things go in your mind like, okay, vampire, sure, okay, in this world, I'm going to make that be a thing. But come on, man, let's be realistic on the other things.

K:           Use a real toothbrush come on.

D:           Toothpaste.

K:           Or toothpaste.

D:           You got, you gotta get in there. Lots of, you know, foamy suds.

K:           Well that, and then like, have they ever seen the real sink and a mirror of the person who brushes their teeth? It is not spotless. No.

D:           No. Oh my gosh. Okay. So, there's a lot of those things, but we don't have time for all that. I think we're pretty much coming up on time here. Oh, my goodness. This was a fun conversation though.

K:           It is. It is. And you know what they say? Time flies when you're having fun.

D:           They sure do. It is flying. And on that note, I've got rapid fire. Yeah. So, I'm going to ask you a couple rapid fire questions and just first thing that comes to your mind on the topic of movies. You'll answer it, I'll tell you what I think, and then we'll go.

K:           Okay.

D:           Um, real quick, you have to choose: action or comedy.

K:           Comedy.

D:           Ooh, excellent choice.

K:           Thanks.

D:           Okay. Horror or sci-fi.

K:           Uh, sci-fi.

D:           Hmm. Well, you know what I'm going to say.

K:           I, yep. Yeah, I knew exactly.

D:           All right. Old classic film or animated.

K:           Old classic film. Oh my gosh. Yes.

D:           Yeah. Although I do like a good animated film too. It's tough. It's a tough one.

K:           Yeah. Depends on the movie.

D:           Okay, here's a good one real quick: subtitles or dubbing and just so everybody knows - the subtitles, you know, you're reading the words from a foreign language film or dubbing: they're actually speaking the language over, you know, so you don't have to read anything. So subtitles or dubbing.

K:           dubbing because when there are subtitles, you kind of lose your focus and you miss details. So, dubbing for me.

D:           I used to say subtitles, but they've gotten really good with the dubbing. I mean, like somehow they do it now, like the mouth movement almost kind of matches up and you're like, man, that's pretty impressive. So yeah.

K:           But you know, the thing is for somebody who grew up in a different culture and like American movies were a big part of what was shown on TV, I grew up with dubbing,

D:           Yeah. It wasn't as good then though, but now, it's quite impressive.

K:           it's pretty good.

D:           Okay. Theater, snack, popcorn or candy?

K:           Uh, popcorn,

D:           Hmm. I can't have both?

K:           Uh, no. You have to choose - your rules.

D:           That's true.

K:           Yeah. What are you going to choose?

D:           I guess it's going to be popcorn, but I do love popcorn with chocolate together. It’s delicious.

K:           Oh, yes, yes, yes.

D:           Yes. All right. Last rapid fire: a movie marathon with five of your favorite movies or movie marathon with five random new ones.

K:           Oh, you know what? I'm going to go with the favorite ones.

D:           Yeah,

K:           You're going to enjoy it. You just never know. Like depends what those new movies are. And I was like, I don't want to suffer through some sort of a movie that I don't like.

D:           Suffer. Oh, you're killing me.

K:           Do I have to watch this? What about you?

D:           Yeah, I agree. I could imagine like just a super lazy weekend or something where I'm like, all right, let's just find five of those…my favorite movies of all time and just one right after another movie marathon. That sounds like a pretty fun weekend, doesn't it?

K:           Yeah.

D:           Lots of popcorn and snacks.

K:           My only thing is I don't think I can sit through five movies

D:           Well, you take a little break.

K:           In between, but yeah, that sounds good. That sounds good.

D:           All right. Well, this was a lot of fun. Nice topic of interesting conversation. Always nice seeing you.

K:           Nice to see you too. Maybe we'll do another one pretty quickly here, right? So we don't wait for too long.

D:           Yes, for sure. So, until next time, here's to good coffee, good vibes, and great conversations.

K:           Cheers.

D:           Cheers.
