Parashah #17: Yitro (Jethro) Sh'mot (Exodus 18:1-20:23

This week we will delve into more detail on the purification process the people of Israel were commanded to undergo before receiving the 10 Commandments of G-d at Mount Sinai. Specifically, I will address the importance of the order that men not approach women during this purification process.

Also covered in this parashah through the Haftarah and the B'rit Chadashah teachings is the consistency of G-d's Word and command to act like the special treasure that those who "wash their robes" (repent) and follow the commands of G-d as a lifestyle testimony. We must be found to be clean in all areas of our lives that we may glorify our G-d and one day discover that our new residence for eternity at the end of our earthly race is in the New Jerusalem with YHVH/yahshua!
