How was the Temple Sanctuary kept clean from the blood of the sacrifices?

In this short podcast, I will address the question: During the Second Temple period when there was no ark, the blood the High Priest sprinkled in an empty room would have left many gross stains on the walls and the floor of the most Holy PLae. After years, it would mold and stink, yet no one else could enter the place and clean it. What did they do?
