First Responder Kits4Kids De-escalate Children’s Emotional Trauma During First Responder Service Calls Where Children Are Present. Research has demonstrated that when First Responders are called to a scene, children can be affected by varying degrees of trauma. If this trauma is not addressed, it can have long-term effects on the well-being of children.

The K4K program aims to provide distraction kits to children who are experiencing trauma, stress, anxiety, and various mental episodes due to challenging environments or difficult circumstances, such as domestic violence, neglect, abuse, fire, or vehicle crashes. The program is designed to assist our youngest and most vulnerable community members.
