Lauren Bongiorno

Today on the pod, we have a Risely coaching alum, Cory Fowler in the house! Cory is 27 years old, lives in New Jersey with his fiance Michelle, and was diagnosed with type one diabetes 10 years ago right before college at the age of 17.

Back in March of this year, I shared part of Cory’s diabetes story on social media and was not expecting it to be as impactful as it was… Let’s just say the response was staggering. In the post, I read a letter that Cory got from his endocrinologist that was incredibly unsupportive, demeaning and eventually led to Cory firing him. You can watch the video on my Instagram HERE

The positive thing that came from Cory receiving that letter was that it motivated him to take his diabetes into his own hands and join Risely’s coaching program. In just over three months, Cory’s A1C went from 8.4 to a 6.7 and his time in range went from 35% to 60%!

I can’t wait for you to learn more about Cory’s journey finding a new endocrinologist and how he learned how to adjust his insulin needs around his routine to make his diabetes management work for him!
