BIG IDEA: The gospel is a message from God.
*Four proofs that this news Paul proclaims is from God:
1) It was something Paul violently opposed. (v.13)
2) It was something that went against Paul’s best interests professionally. (v.14)
3) It was something Paul didn’t seek out and couldn’t resist. (v.15,16a)
4) It was something Paul didn't immediately consult with anyone about before preaching it. (v.16b-17)
