Freedom from Satan's Influence 1

Life is governed by laws. For you as a believer, what you believe, how you think, how you talk and what you do determines the law that will take effect in your life. There are 2 dominant laws. Romans 8:1-2 - the law of the Spirit and the law of sin and death. The child of God who chooses the path of the flesh is unknowingly subjecting himself to the law of sin and death and when the law of sin and death takes effect in the life of a man, troubles will begin to the persist in the life of such a man.

Welcome into the month of April. I trust that this month will be an improvement over the previous months in your lives. In the name of Jesus. As have always told us what you know and what you understand matters to your life and destiny. What you know and what you understand. That's why God wants you to know. An understanding of who you are in Christ and who he is to you. This night we are going to pray, God bless the choir. They are in the spirit. We are going to leverage more on the mercy of God tonight. And tomorrow evening is going to be tomorrow evening is not going to be Bible study. It's going to be time for spiritual warfare. But we are going to leverage more on God's mercy tonight. Then tomorrow evening we get into an intense warfare prayer. Like I've always told us. Imagine a parent spend so much money to send the child. Let's use one of the, you know, in the olden days, things have changed now. Is either people are proud if their child is a doctor, read medicine, or read law, or engineering course. So that they can say my son or my daughter is a medical doctor. You know, that's for the pride of the parents. My son, my daughter is a lawyer, or an engineer. Those are the three well-recognized. But things have changed now. It's not about what you read in school. Praise the Lord. I know someone who read history and is doing very, very well in life. It's about knowing the direction God wants you to follow. Praise the Lord. Now, this is where I'm going. Many of us as children of God we grieve God on a daily basis because we are not living according to his expectation, like I gave that instance. Imagine a parent who spent so much money for six years. He was in the university studying medicine. After that, he spent another one year in is it housemanship they call it? Seven years. And then one year for youth service. And when he finished all that, so the parent is expecting the child to now take up a job as a medical doctor. And then he tried to say he loves cleaning. So all the my investment over your life. To send you to school. And he expects us to function like him on earth. But most of the time we choose the paths that the world dictates to us. We choose the paths that seem to be more convenient for our flesh. And oftentimes we grieve the Holy Spirit. You see, God will never be angry with you, but he can be grieved. To be grieved means he's sorrowful. You know, it's a terrible thing if a parent looks at the child and shake their head and with tears. That means that parent is grieved about the kind of life that child is living. May you not be that kind of child to God in the name of Jesus. You see, I will share briefly with us on what I've titled Freedom from Satan's influence. You see, you can be a child of God and still be controlled by Satan, still be influenced by him. And no one under the influence of Satan can ever fulfill God's perfect will for their lives. And hear this, child of God. You can't experience true fulfillment if you are not living according to the will of God for your life. Let me give you an instance. When I was in the world before I became born again, I was making money. I somehow, somehow, I was making money. At my early twenties. So I said, so let me enjoy. You know what you are not believer, you are blind. So I thought that enjoying life is about going out with ladies, sleeping in hotels, drinking. See, I'm one of the people on earth that God has shown great mercy. You know, they told me I might not live beyond 30. And the life I began to live are the things that were hasting the death. Can you imagine it? They said you might not one might not live beyond 30, and I'll drink all manner of drinkable things. Now, I found out that what I called enjoyment, the more I got into it, the more there was this emptiness in my heart. I'll check into a five-star hotel, lie down the bed. You know, in early 90s, most people of my age had no access to that kind of luxury. I was wearing designer clothes with my jericho hair, with the hairstyle they call BJ that time. But what am I trying to say? The more I do all those things, the emptier I became. I didn't even know my problem. People around me are envious, were envious of me. But I was not envious of myself. When I'll be alone, I'll just wish that I mean they never find themselves in my condition. None of my friends had the car. I was the only one I had. Santana from PJ for GL to Santana's official car. And then I had my own personal car. But there was no fulfillment, and I didn't know why. Okay, I thought that okay, go to party. Spend money for musicians, let them sing your praises. I did that. I'll get home, I'll be sad. I'm trying to show you something this evening. Because there is a life God expects from you. That God will look at you and say, that is my boy. That is my girl. And you see, until you begin to live that life, there is no, there is no sitting on the fence. It's either you are living that quality of life that God wants you to live, or you are living the other one that puts you under the influence of Satan. Let me show you something. This is a scripture that blessed my life. In fact, I've read it over and over, but this January, when my twin was ministering to us during the convention, he read it, and it's like I've never read it before. Second Timothy chapter 2. Verse 24 to 26. Let's read from NLT. Is somebody following? Please follow. 2 Timothy chapter 2. A servant of the Lord. Let me tell your neighbor that the scripture is talking about you. He's not just talking about Pastor Sanjay and Pastor Juliet and Pastor Duque. Now I say, are you not a servant of the Lord? Or are you a master of the Lord? And if you are not a servant of the Lord, then you must be a master of the Lord. He said, a servant of the Lord should not quarrel. Oh. Must. Do you? I hope you know what must mean. A servant of the Lord must not quarrel, but must be kind to some people. At times working with God can be very challenging. Actually, there are some people you don't feel like being kind to because they are not kind to you. Is that true? But look at where Jesus has put us. He says, servant of the Lord must not quarrel, but must be kind to everyone. Be able to teach and be patient with who? With difficult people. The next verse. We soon get to where I'm going. Gently instruct those who oppose the truth. Perhaps. God will change those people's hearts. Whose hearts is he going to change? Those who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change those people's hearts, and they will do what? Learn the truth. Verse 26. This is where I'm going. Those who oppose the truth. He said, then when they learn the truth, then they will come to what? So somebody can be born again and not be in his senses. It's not everybody around you that behaves in a certain way that actually is in their senses. See, if you understand this, as a husband, you will know when your wife is not in her senses. You will know when your husband is not in his senses, and then you'll be gentle with them. Somebody is not in his senses. You are still knocking them. Let's read on. Then they will come to their senses and do what? And escape from the devil's trap. For they have been held captive. By who? By the devil. To do whatever he wants. So you can be a child of God and still be under Satan's influence. He's holding you captive and dictating to you what he wants you to do. That life can't end well. Devil telling you the thief cometh not but to steal, to kill, and to destroy. Jesus said, But I have come to give life and give life more abundantly. So if a thief, let me use my grammar, a stealer. And a destroyer who doesn't love you, who doesn't like you, is telling you what to do. No matter how nice what is telling you appear to be, it won't end well. So there are believers who have lost their senses. But they think they know what they are doing. Satan has caught them. And they are living their life according to the dictates of Satan. Ah, God is grieved over such children. They are still children of God, though. That's why the scripture requires that we should be gentle in dealing with them. They have not been abandoned, they have not been forsaken. They are still children of God. And that's why tonight I want to show you how you can free yourself from every form of satanic influence. Now, let me start with this. Life is governed by laws. Life is governed by what? By laws. That's why, even in the physical world, there are laws. To guide people into what the government wants. Laws are put in place to regulate people, to make them live a regimental life that will enable them to do exactly what the government wants so that the government's goal or vision for the country can be fulfilled. So generally, life is governed by laws. Now, for you as a believer, for you as a child of God, what you believe, how you think, how you talk, and what you do determines the law that will take effect in your life. Do you understand that? What you believe, what you choose to believe, what you believe will influence how you think. So what you believe, how you think, how you think will determine how you talk. So what you believe, how you think, how you talk, and what you do determines which law will take effect in your life. Now get this. There are two dominant spiritual laws. Two dominant spiritual laws. Every other law functions under them. And those laws are found in Romans chapter 8, verses 1 and 2. Romans chapter 8, verses 1 and 2. Quickly, quickly. Let's be fast because we are going to pray and partake of the communion this night. There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. Who do not walk, who do not walk according to what? To the flesh. Who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the spirit. Verse 2. Verse 2. For the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has done what? Has made me free from the law of sin and death. In other words, for the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the influence of Satan. Because Satan has his influence over the law of sin and death. Wherever the law of sin and death is in operation, Satan is Lord.Anywhere the law of sin and death is in operation. Satan rules. Unfortunately, even churches do not help matters. You go to so many places, they don't show you who you are, what Christ has done for you, and how God expects you to live. All the cities, every witch, every wizard. Yes, you can be contending with those things, but you must understand how to live so that you can be free from the influence of those things. You see, it grieves my heart when I hear today that believers are afraid of witches. If anything happened, they believe that somebody killed them, somebody hurt them, somebody did that. Yes, I agree that in many cases, those evil things are caused. But see, there is a way you walk with God. There is no devil, there is no agent of darkness that can exert their will over your life. How can I be in union with God and I'll be at the mercy of the powers of darkness? My Bible tells me that he has delivered me from the power of darkness and translated me. He didn't just deliver me and leave me, he translated me into the realm where the power of darkness cannot touch me.

Surely they will gather together, but not by me, says the Lord. As many as those that gathers against you, they will fall. Are you saying God is a liar? If you think an agent of darkness can destroy you, if you think the agents of darkness can can stop your job, can stop your progress, what you are simply saying is that all that God said in his word are not true. It means you believe in the ability of Satan to hurt you, than the ability of God to save you. That's why the problem of many people in the church are today. That's why lots of believers are under the same fear that rules the world. They get worried like the world gets worried, they are fearful. See, let me tell you something, church. When God wants to build you up, he will take you through some difficult situation where you have to contend with things, and the only way you will conquer those things is if you submit only to what he says. God told me about two, three years ago, He said, Let not your confidence be in your savings. But don't put your trust in your savings, put your trust in me. So, and I started practicing that. Even when I have money in my savings, and I still have a need, I will still ask the Lord to meet that need. Because that's what it means. But you see, we often forget ourselves. I'm sharing this with you because I want you to learn from it. So you see, there is something I need to do. I told one of my sons, I said, remind me of something by 5th of April. So because I needed to give him some cash. So I just said, when the time is, I'll just, you know, I have an app. I will transfer the money from the Canada account to the app. The app will that's convert it to Naira and send to my Nigerian account. So yesterday night, so I said, let me just take part of the money. Let me send it to the app. Something says send everything. I didn't know that is because how God wants to. The same app I used it last month. I brought all the money in my Canada account into that app now to convert it. That this transaction cannot continue. My driver's license has expired. My international password has expired. And you know that this is Nigeria. Both cannot be renewed within one week. It will take you time, and those are the only two IDs. This morning I tried it again. Whether it will go. It didn't go. This afternoon, he's still asking me. So I use my international passport. He said it has expired. They can't take it. My driver's license. I have the the person that since over one year ago, na paper then give me. That I will come for um biometric capturing again. I've been waiting for over one year. Now that means I made up my mind tomorrow. I'll go to another person to do the that means that money, only God knows when it will come out until I have ID. Now, the cash I need, I must have it. God is only telling me your trust has been in that. Instead of putting your trust in me. So my head correct. I say, Lord, you don't you don't do that in a big way. Are you learning something? See, many of us don't understand that where God has placed you is so high that you can't live like the world. You are the only one who is seeing yourself the way every other person is seeing you. God is not seeing. That's why the scripture says, Know no man after the flesh. Don't even know yourself after the flesh. Stop knowing yourself according to your bank account. Stop knowing yourself according to the narratives in your father's family. So Christianity is not a religion. Am I talking to somebody? What is required of us? The standard that you believing in Christ has bestowed on you is so high, that you can't afford to live below it, otherwise, you keep depriving yourself of what God has ordained for you. So as I was saying, if you are not living in the spirit, you'll be living according to the flesh, and if you are living according to the flesh, you have subjected yourself to the influence of Satan. He will tell you what to do. Because he knows, even though what he's telling you, that thing will appeal to your flesh. Watch many of your prayer points. Is it not for yourself? Why are you looking at me like that? Father bless me. Father, this me. That's me. This me. When the devil sees that all your effort has to do with yourself, the things of the kingdom does not matter to you. You only pay lip service to them. The life of other people doesn't concern you genuinely. If I ask you in the last one week, how many people or families have you prayed for genuinely beside you and your family? That should suggest something. I'm not saying you should lift up your hand to tell me. Just keep the answer in your heart. That should suggest to you. This might make you say oush. But that should suggest to you if you are selfish or not. Oh, does it mean you don't see brethren around you that has a need, that are going through a challenge, that deserve to be prayed for? Have you genuinely, wholeheartedly prayed for them? See, if you live that life, you will make yourself vulnerable to Satan's deception. Because if Satan knows that you are selfish, he will introduce things that will appeal to yourself. Am I talking to somebody? He will introduce ideas that is just meant to make you feel good about yourself and to accomplish your selfish desire. And that's what gets people. When he engaged them, now you now see that you have to tell a little lie there, little deception there, you have to play games here. To make that thing come to pass, let me tell you something. Anything you do, that you have to cheat, you have to lie, you have to deceive, you are doing it in the flesh. You are doing it where? In the flesh. If nobody will tell you, I owe you as your pastor to tell you, you are doing it in the flesh, and anything you do in the flesh might appear to be working well now, but the joy of it will be short-lived. Listen, every believer that chooses to walk according to the flesh is subjecting himself or herself to the law of sin and death. Every believer. Unbelievers are the ones that are subjected permanently to the law of sin and death until they receive Jesus.

And when the law of sin and death begin to take effect in a man's life, things will begin to happen. Listen, church. If it's trials of faith, it will always have an end. Every trial of faith will always have what? An end. But when something keeps happening and the situation, the problem persists. And look as if it has no end. The law of sin and death is at work. Let's go back to Romans chapter 8. Verse 5 to 7 and then verse 13. For those who live according to the flesh, set their minds on the things of the flesh. But those who live according to the spirit, the things of the spirit, that is, those who live according to the flesh, set their minds on the things of the flesh, and those who live according to the spirit set their minds on the things of the spirit. For to be carnally minded is what? Death. For it is not subject to the law of God. It's not subject to the law of the spirit of life in Christ. Nor indeed can be. Let's jump quickly to verse 13. Verse 13. For if you live, you can see if that means you don't have to live according to the flesh. But it said, For if you live according to the flesh, you will die. But if by the spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. What is the scripture saying? It means when you live, or if you live according to the flesh, you activate the law of sin and death. Because that law reigns in the realm of the flesh. Let me show you. Go back to verse 9. Let's read Romans 8 from verse 9. Let's read it from amplified. Let's read from amplified. But you are not living the life of the flesh, you are living the life of the spirit. If the Holy Spirit of God really dwells within you, directs and controls you. But if anyone does not possess the Holy Spirit of Christ, he's none of his, he does not belong to Christ, he's not truly a child of God. Verse 10. Verse 10. But if Christ lives in you, listen, then although your natural body is dead, that is, your natural body is still subjected to the law of sin and death. That's why this body gets old. That's why this body can be sick. The spirit, your spirit man is alive. Why? Because of the righteousness that he imputes to you. Verse 11. And if the spirit of him who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, in your spirit man, then he who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also restore to life your mother's shortly perishable bodies through his spirit who dwells in you. That means you can actually activate the flow of the love, the spirit of life, over your physical body. And instead of your body to depreciate fast, it can delay. Brings your body back to life. There is nothing that is wrong in your body now that cannot be healed. Nothing. One eye went like this. This black, one face, this place. One face here. We say, which can team it this? You grow up like this. We won't know where you are looking at us or where you are not. Every day. I told the mother, lay hands, I will lay hands. Speak. Eyes. We speak life to you. Be corrected by the power of God, by the power of eternal life. Be supernaturally corrected. I will do that. When before I go out in the morning, when I come back in the night, the mother was doing that. We were doing that for months. Until one day he woke up.

Do you know that? He will say, yeah, which kind. This boy's gonna have this kind of. We complain, complain, complain. Today for the look here, look here. Please let me tell you, neighbor. Anything you see in your life that is not right, refuse to accept it. You see, we did it one week, nothing changed. Two weeks, nothing changed. One month, nothing changed. Five weeks, six weeks, seven weeks, eight weeks, ten weeks. But I told the mom, I said, God can't lie. We keep speaking. Jesus said, The word I speak, they are spirit, they are life. So if the spirit of him that raised Christ from the dead dwells in us, so the Christ in us, by his spirit, we speak life into the eyes. He created us. So the eyeball must return back to this not the will of God. It's not the will of God. This is not the will of God. And the power of God corrected it. Are you here this evening? Whatsoever had been out of order in your physical body as to partake of this communion tonight, that same spirit that dwells within you, that same spirit of God will bring to life whatsoever the enemy has tampered with in your bodies in the name of Jesus. Whatsoever had been out of order will be supernaturally restored in the name of Jesus. So understand this church that if you allow your mind to just be too conscious of the happenings around you, you think only about how you feel, what people say, what doctors' reports are, and then you begin to make your decisions based on those natural things. You are activating the law of sin and death. Number one. Number two, if you see yourself according to your errors, hello, it's not good to lie because Satan is a father of liars. You know that it's not good to lie, but you find yourself telling lies and you say, Lord, I don't want to continue like that. You see, the difference between those who have accepted a condition and those who are struggling is the fact that I don't want to do this thing. Lord, help me. God can see your struggles. Not those who have weaponized those things. Do you understand that? Some people have turned it to weapons. They sit down, cook it, and serve it. And the conscience is dead. Though they are children of God, they are not feeling that they have done anything bad. They are just okay. Because as long as it is satisfying their selfish desire, they are okay. I'm not talking about those songs. Some people are actually struggling. You are struggling with an addiction. You don't want to smoke, but you just find yourself going back. And when you say, Oh Lord, help me. See, God knows your struggles. That period, you only need to be conscious of your alignment with Christ in the spirit and see beyond what is happening to you in the physical body, and still accept that in spite of your errors, you are still the righteousness of God in Christ. Do you understand what I'm trying to say? You are not righteous because you do right. You are righteous because Jesus gave you his righteousness as a gift. No, not under like under the Old Testament. What you have now is a righteousness that is of faith. You are not getting it, you are not getting everything right, but you know you are in right standing with God. And you are holding on to that, trusting that by his power that is available to you, all these activities of the flesh will be broken over your life. Am I talking to somebody? Nobody over overcomes sin by being determined. You go enter bathroom now, do I mean? But when you understand that your righteousness is of him, this is not part of me. This is not supposed to be my life. I refuse it and I reject it. This is in the realm of the flesh. I don't belong there, I live in the spirit, therefore, I am the righteousness of God. Father thank you for the gift of your righteousness. I hold on to my righteousness. That unrighteousness has no choice than to follow. Just as I shared the testimony of how God corrected the eyes of Nicholas, you just discovered that one day the urge for certain things is dead, the desires for certain things are gone. That thing that wants you to smoke. That is in you, that is superimposing his power, his righteousness over your physical natural body, and is killing the desires of your flesh to demand for those things. Are you hearing that? There is no habit you can't break free from. Colossians 3, verse 1 to 3 says it. This is a mindset you need. If you are going to be free from satanic influence, go back to if then you are raised with Christ. Do what? Oh Pastetas, are you in the house? Okay, Omangua Church. The people here are not talking. If then you are raised with who? With Christ.

Sick those things. Do what? Sick those things where. Stop running after what everybody is running after.

Seek those things which are above where Christ is. Sitting at the right hand. When the Bible talks about the right hand of God, it's talking about the place of authority. He's talking about the place. So Jesus sits at the right hand of God and don't forget you are there too. According to Ephesians 2, 6. You are in the same place, in the place of authority. He says, So stop seeking solution from what the world is peddling before you. Focus on your place of authority. Focus on where? On your place of authority in Christ. If then you are raised with Christ, seek those things which are above. Above there is no sickness. Above there is no death. So when the doctor says you have only a few months to live, I'll be sick above. No, no, you are not correct. You are not correct. He said, This sickness is incurable. That is in the natural realm. Seek media. If then you are raised with Christ, seek those things which are what? Above. So when you seek above that doctor's report, you won't find it above.

Everlasting life and shall not come into judgment. But has passed, not will pass, but has passed from death into life. So if they give you a report, they tell you this one leads to death.

You don't judge what they say by what they say. You judge what they say by where you belong. For example, for example. Maybe they said you travel overseas. They answer this food we are going to pack it or this drug. You must keep it refrigerated for 24 hours. If it's not in the fridge that is cool very well, within four or five hours, it goes spoil. And you are in Tinumbus, Nigeria, and you don't have solar. Will you not be worried how you do it? Okay, let me let me let me do little census. See, we are many here. Hundreds of us. How many of us you use lights? P A C N 24 hours. No cover to no more now. Let's raise up your hand. I can't remember the last time we had our lights at home. Almost two months. So somebody wants to give you something that must be in fridge. 24 hours. You tell the hey, look for another one, give me. That we don't need to be in the fridge. Because it goes spoil. And you are not ready to spend money running the generator 24 hours. So, what am I saying? Go back to where we are reading. Go back to Colossians chapter 3, verse 1. What is it that they told you? Ah, the waiting sail. I'm not sure you'll be able to make it in life again. Uh-uh. Uh-uh. Uh-uh. They are looking at they are thinking from the flesh. They are looking at things from the natural. Then I look into where I'm coming from. If then you are raised with Christ, seek those things which are above. Where Christ is. Sitting at the right hand of God in the place of authority. Verse 2. Verse 2. Set your mind. Some of you you see your weakness now. Where has been your mind? On the problem.

Why? Why? Look at the reason in verse 3. For you died. You are dead to this world. You are dead to sickness. In fact, you are dead to death. To death. You are dead to death. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ. Let me point something to you, Church. Let it not be hard again that as a child of God, you say somebody wants to destroy your life. Nobody can. Nobody can. Do you know? Do you know your life? Eh? Verse 4. Verse 4. When Christ. They are not saying it. Only a few people are saying it. When Christ, who is my life, appears, then you also will appear with him. Christ is your life. He said, This is my life. You get life. You are dead. Okay, let me show you something before I round off. Galatians 2.20. We come back to this. Galatians 2.20. Galatians. I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live.

It is no longer I who lives. So the you they could destroy. Don't buy. The you, the world that Satan could destroy, died when Christ died. This will never make sense to the natural man. This is a spiritual thing. This is what activates the law of the spirit of life that breaks the power and the influence of Satan over all your fears. I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So when Christ, who is my life, please don't miss Sunday morning. What we fight now are battles, not war. The war is over, it's won for already for us. So even when you appear, you are losing battles. The war is won. That's why no devil can deprive you from getting to heaven. The war. I had to do a research, the difference between battles and war. They said battles make up the war. That you can even win all the battles and still lose the war. And they gave examples of some war that has happened in the past. They gave examples of one general that fought against the Roman Empire. The Romans. How he deployed his strategy and was winning battles. And it's like he was conquering the Romans until they now said, okay, since he's fighting all these fight. And he came from Africa, from around Morocco. He said, let's sneak out. Let's go and wage war against his own country while he's fighting us here. I said, God will give you that money. And God gave him the money. But you see, before then, he came to my office and said, the guide working for him, he said he wants to use police to arrest him so that he can get some money from him. And then he will use the money to pay. It sounds good to my natural mind. But I heard the Holy Ghost say, tell him to sow the seed of mercy. Tell him to write off. I said, I'm hearing the Lord said I should tell you to sow the seed of mercy. Not that you should give money, but the seed of mercy means you are not going to arrest that guy, you are not going to ask him for any money, just let him go. Ah, he said, Daddy, the money is much. And I said, he also did the business with some people that backfired, he was owing three million. He has not done that job for up to two or three months. He got a job in an oil company. By one single obedience of sowing the seed of mercy. He sowed into the spirit. From the spirit, he read. Do you get that? The job he got in the oil company, he resumed. They gave him what did they say? Probation. Before probation ended, they promoted him, gave him another probation for that position. Before that probation ended, they promoted him again. Gave him, he left all the people. The position they put him into I don't have experience in that way. I don't know how to do it. I said, The Lord, God doesn't make mistakes. He promoted you into that. His wisdom will attend to you. I lay hands on him. The spirit of wisdom, the spirit of excellence, overflows your life. He went back. He performed vignard expectation of the top management. Why am I sharing this with you? Why am I sharing this with you? When you sow into the flesh, you reap corruption.
