We labour to build, but often times, what we build are not structures that last. Your building as a child of God must be different from that of the world. We build what doesn't last because we often fail to build on the right foundation.
We must not just build on Christ, we must build with Christ. This means that you must make the life of Christ the foundation of whatever you build and His principles must be the building blocks of whatever you build.

SPEAKER_01For impartation, for revelation, for transformation. We ask, O Lord, that you open our understanding to comprehend the truth of your word this evening. And cause your word to bear fruit in our lives. Let no one end this service the same way they came into the service. Let there be a shift in our understanding. Let our hearts be illuminated. Let darkness be dispersed. Let there be insight. Revelations that will reposition us for every good works you have ordained for us in this life. Thank you, dear Father. Blessed be your holy name. In Jesus' mighty name, we are praying. That amen needs some spicing. Please let me welcome somebody to your right, to your left. Tell them you are welcome to the Bible study this evening. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. Welcome in the name of Jesus. Welcome in the name of Jesus. Welcome in the name of Jesus. Let's celebrate Jesus as we take our seat. Please let's occupy these two center rows. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah to Jesus. In the course of this month, the Lord will be revealing a lot to us. Please, the this thing has echo. It should be reduced. It's sounding hollow, like somehow. This month will be looking at so many things from God's word. This evening, the Lord laid it strongly on my heart to share with us what I've titled Building What Will Last. Building what? And then on Sunday, we will start another series. The power of a transformed heart. The power of a transformed heart. These two messages will complement themselves. As you begin to receive God's word, you will understand better what the Holy Ghost wants to do in our life in the course of this month and beyond. Praise the Lord. Please, technical, listen very well and know that this thing is not sounding well. Building what will last. Everybody builds, but not everybody builds what can stand the test of time. But not everybody can build what can stand the test of time. Everybody builds. But not everybody can build what can stand the test of time. Let's read from Luke chapter 6, verse 47 to 49. Luke chapter 6 from verse 47 to 49. Luke chapter 6 from verse 47 to 49. Whoever comes to me and hears my sins and does them, I will show you whom he is like. Who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock? And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehement vehemently against that house and could not shake it. For it was founded on what? On the rock. But he who had and did nothing is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation against which the stream beat vehemently. And immediately it does what? It fell. And the ruin of that house was great. And the ruin of that house was great. What you build will not be ruined. You see, a lot of people are building. At least I want you to listen to this. What this message, what God has to say to you. May what you are building not be the reason for your sorrow in the future. May what you are building not be the reason why you will cry tomorrow. In the name of Jesus. You see, we labor to build. We labor to build our lives. We labor to build our families, our marriages. We labor to build our careers. We labor to build our relationships with others. We labor to build our businesses. But most of what we labor to build oftentimes cannot withstand the storms of life. Any marriage that collapsed was not well built. Any life that ends in regret was not well built. Now I'm talking to believers, not to unbelievers. That's why, as children of God, you can't compare yourself to the world. Because there is a way you are required to build. Your building must be different from that of the world. Why do we often build what does not last? According to that scripture we read, we build what does not last because we often fail to build on the right foundations. See, if you are not building on the right foundation, you are not building on foundations at all. Do you understand my grammar? Any foundation that is not right is no foundation. Some years back, I went to Abelkita. I was in Abel Kuta, so I visited a construction site. One of the banks was building a place. That bank happens to be the bank, the bank presently is Polaris Bank, but then it was Sky Bank. So they were building a structure. So I wanted to make a transaction. So I went to where their branch was and now found that they have demolished the place and they were building something new. But you see, I got there with my friends and said, ah, since these people have been building this thing, they have not even come out of the ground. I went beside, I saw a deep hole that could take like four-story building. And I saw from deep down there casted concrete with strong, strong iron. Deep down. So he said, sir, this aspect that nobody will see is the aspect that will make what people will see to stand. You understand that. What is holding, what is working, is beyond what you can see. It is called foundation. So the foundation upon which you build will determine whether your building will stand or not, whether your building will last or not. Unfortunately, many of us as believers. We build our lives like the world builds their own. We build our relationships on the same foundation the world builds their own. You know, there is something they call friends with benefits. Scratch my back, I. Many foundations are built on that. So the moment they feel you are no longer useful to them, they discard you. That shows how people build in the world. Listen, foundations are what primarily determines the durability of any building. I want you to understand this evening that you as a person, the life you live, the durability of your life is determined by the foundation upon which you are building your life. The durability of your marriage, of your business, your careers. They are determined by the foundation upon which you are building them. You see, I've seen people that at their old age it stears pain and sorrow. Because the children will not give them rest of mind. The children go from one trouble to the other, from one problem to the other, and their problems become the problem of their parents. So a man and a woman who should have rest in their old age is going through crisis. That's why you need to understand what the Lord put in my heart to share with you. Whether you are young or old, listen, if you are young, you become old. So some of the things I'm sharing with us are the things I was not privileged to learn when I was young. And so, as a child of God, you are privileged to learn certain things. And the earlier you begin to apply them into your life, the better for you. In that book of Luke, chapter 6, from verse 47 to 49, Jesus said, If you keep my word, you are like one who is building on the right foundation. If you obey my word, if you practice my word, he said, But if you hear my word and do nothing with it, you are like someone who is building without a foundation. Just imagine that empty land over there. You just see somebody come up and begin to lay blocks without digging. Just laying blocks. And was even you that is an amateur, you are not a professional builder, you'll be feeling sorry for the person. Say, what kind of a building is this? They can't dig foundation. But unfortunately, we do that spiritually speaking. We build on earth without laying the right foundation. That is why there is so much troubles. That is why a lot of believers have no rest. We run helter, skelter. Do you know why? What you built yesterday is creating problems for us today. What we built yesterday is the reason why we have no peace of mind today. What we built yesterday, the consequences of building on the wrong foundation, is haunting us today. But God wants us to correct that, and that's why He's sending His word towards us so that you and I can become a wise builder. So, as believers in Christ, I want you to understand this: that we have been called into the life of holiness. When we talk about holiness, holiness goes beyond how you dress. Holiness means you have been separated apart unto God. That means your life must be lived according to God, not according to popular opinions. That means you are not meant to live like the rest of the world. You are meant to live your life like Christ. Because that's the only thing that can differentiate you from the world and empowers you to live above the world. You can't be living like the world and expect to become the light of the world. You are not the light of the world. Practically speaking. So as a believer, as believers in Christ, we have been called into the life of holiness, a life set apart to God. Therefore, we must always build on Christ. We must always build on who? On Christ. Whether it is our lives, marriages, children, relationships, businesses, or careers, we must build on Christ. 1 Corinthians chapter 3, verses 10 and 11. 1 Corinthians chapter 3, verses 10 and 11. Do you know when you pay attention to God's word, you are saving yourself from future pains, future sorrows. Am I talking to somebody? I told a young lady who feel that a brother that came to her. Not a brother, a man. Who is an unbeliever. In fact, he came from a Muslim family. So he said he has nothing against religion. But he does not practice any. That he will not stop her from going to church. But that he loves her and she believes. Her pastor has talked to her. I don't know what gave her the impression. You know, at times I look simple. So people think they can just bring anything to me, he will understand. No, no, no. I know there is a difference between when you are struggling with issues from when you are intentional about doing what is wrong. I will knock you on your head. So she thought the the pastor told her they will not he will not join them. So he came to me, she came to me and talked and talked and said, Sir, can you join us? So I told her, I said you are insulting me. I said it is an insult. So that means is either you think your pastor is senseless and I am sensible. Or your pastor is sensible, I am senseless. Is one of the two. Abby you are considered one of us senseless. So I told her I said marrying somebody whose scripture has outrightly, in fact, the first thing the scripture wants you to understand as a child of God that you must not be equally yielded. With who? An unbeliever. Because you will not be operating from the same background. He's under the he or she is under the influence of the devil. You under the influence of the spirit of God. How can you have the spirit of God and the spirits of this world who habit in staying together? There will be no agreement. The best you can do in that relationship is somebody will be pretending as if everything is okay. Somebody will have to compromise for things to work and it will still not work. So when somebody gets into such a relationship, the person has signed up for trouble because the foundation of the marriage is already wrong. It's easier for For you, if you marry, you are both unbelievers. And you got married. God's grace will be sufficient for you because you are not living in disobedience. You didn't get into that marriage by disobedience. You are both unbelievers. And now you are born again. God's grace will be sufficient. No matter what your spouse wants to do to you, God will protect you and defend you. But when because of your lust, your fleshly desire, you understand where we are going to at the end of this message. Anyway, we won't finish it today. This part one will continue next next Thursday. Because of what you want. The guy is your speck. And he has some cash. Sorry, you're a thief. It is the lust of the flesh that is your problem. You don't know who you are. You are attracted to what the guy has. And see, every other thing he has will serve you. Including the devil in his life. Please, you need to understand these children of God. That's why a lot of believers are in trouble today. Because with their two eyes open, they enter into Satan's trap. They defended what scripture has come condemned. Look at 1 Corinthians chapter 3, verses 10 and 11. According to the grace of God, which was given to me, I just speak that to use as an example to us, for us to understand something. According to the grace of God, which was given to me, as a wise master builder, I have laid the foundation. And another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it. Verse 11. For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. So if Jesus says you must not be equally yoked with an unbeliever, no matter how nice and good the appears to be, it is required of you to rather say, Let me die single, than walk in disobedience unto God's word. Because it will be more profitable for you to live a single life than to marry and live the remaining days of your life full of pains. So everyone must build. If you are a believer, you must build on Christ. Your marriage must be built on Christ. The lives of your children must be built on Christ. Your business builds on Christ. Your career, build on Christ. Everything you do, your life must be built on Christ. However, if you are going to build what will last, we must not just build on Christ. We must build with Christ. You understand that? You must not just build on Christ, you must build with Christ. I don't want to say too many things this evening, but we are just going to focus on building on Christ. The next week we look at building with Christ. If you want to build what will last, you must build on Christ and also build with Christ. What does this mean? It means that you must make the life of Christ the foundation for whatever you build, and his principles, the building blocks of whatever you build. His life must be the foundation of whatever you build that is building on Christ. And then his principles, his values must be the building blocks of whatsoever you build. Now the question is this how do you make Christ the foundation of what you build? How do you make Christ a foundation of what you build? Colossians chapter 3, verse 1 to 5. Colossians chapter 3, verse 1 to 5. See, no when you build on Christ, it doesn't matter how much the intensity of the raging storm, you will survive it. Am I talking to somebody? It doesn't matter the intensity of the storm, the troubles, you will survive it. When you see a marriage that is working, they have gone through storms. But because they are built on Christ and built with Christ, they survive. They overcome. They stand at times, even when they are not willing to stand. Do you know there are people in marriage today? Pastor, they are concluded in themselves that this marriage is ending. Please sit down. But somehow they can't find the strength to bring it to an end. Because what is working in that marriage is more than them. Do you understand? No, no, no. Some of us that are married, you testify that at one time or the other, you just got tired of your spouse. And you are thinking of how to end it. You have been thinking of how to end it since 10 years ago. Somehow, you have not been able to end it. Because in the midst of it, God keeps coming true for you. And the marriage. Something will just happen. If not because of it is God at work. It is God at work. If not because of, if not because of, if not because of. And gradually, the both of you that seems to be pulls apart. Start you start coming together again. Now God save you. I for don't go. When I say you are meant to build on Christ and build with Christ, like I said, you must make the life of Christ the foundation for whatever you build. And his principles, the building blocks of the same. Let's go back to that 1 Corinthians chapter 3. We read verses 10 and 11 earlier on. Now let's read from verse 10 to 15. 1 Corinthians chapter 3. According to the grace of God which was given to me as a wise master builder, I have laid the foundation and another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it. Verse 11. For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is what? Christ. Verse 12. Now, if anyone builds on this foundation with what? Gold. So that means you are not just meant to lay on to build, I mean, to build your life, build your family, build everything that concerns you on the right foundation, you must also build with the right building blocks, with the right things, with the right building materials. He said, Now, if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, verse 13. Each one's work will become clear. For the day we declare it. The day. And the fire will test each one's work of what sort it is. Verse 14. If anyone's work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. Verse 15. If anyone's work is burned, he will suffer loss. But he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire. Because he has the right foundation, but the problem is that he has not built with the right building blocks. So you are not just meant to build on Christ as your foundation. You are meant to build with Christ as your foundation, as your building blocks. That is, building on the life of Jesus as your foundation and appropriating the principles of Christ, applying the principles of Christ in your building process. The values of Christ. Now, if you are going to do this, you can't build based on your emotions. That's where there are troubles. People today are too emotional to enjoy the best that God has for them. Let me break this thing down, and I trust that God will give us understanding before we round up this service. Like I told you, we are looking at building on Christ. Building, building, so your life must be built on Christ. And to build on Christ, I said you must build on his life. Okay, how do you make Christ the foundation of what you build? I think it's better to ask that question and let's answer it. How do you make Christ the foundation of what you build? Colossians chapter 3, verse 1 to 5. Please, this time I want you to listen carefully. I will try to be very slow in my explanation. And I pray that the Lord will give you an understanding heart. If then you are raised with Christ, do what? Seek those things which are where? Which are above. Where Christ is. Sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden where? With Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, appears, who is your life? Church, please look up. When the world, you will hear the world says, This is my life or I can do anything I want with it, they are right. It's their life. The only challenge they have is that they don't know that the devil is actually in control of that life. Sin is in control of that life. But for you as a child of God, you don't have the life of your own. To say this is my life, I can do whatsoever. It shows you are ignorant. And you are about to start sowing into the flesh, and in the future, the flesh will give you a harvest of corruption. Go back to where we're reading. When Christ, who is our life, who is our life? Can I hear you say? We are many in this auditorium, so our voice should be louder than this. Who is our life? Christ. When Christ, who is our life, so your husband is not your life, your wife is not your life, your parents are not your life, your children are not your life, your job is not your life, your business is not your life, and money is not your life. When Christ, who is our life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. Therefore, put to death your members which are where? On the earth, fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is what? Which is idolatry. Now, understand something. I said, You must make the life of Christ the foundation of whatever you build. To make the life of Christ the foundation of whatsoever you build, you must understand that Christ is your life. Now get this. Whether you know it or not, as a child of God, there is a life that is active in you. The reality is that it may not be the life of Christ. Do you understand that? Though Christ is your life, the Christ, the life of Christ in you might have become passive and dormant because you keep suppressing that life. Do you know there are a lot of believers who have killed their own conscience? They do what is ungodly and explain it away. They live an ungodly life and they blame others for their own lifestyle. They blame their condition. They blame those who are supposed to help them that have not helped them. They blame the government. They blame this, they blame that, and they claim that they have to survive. The reason is because you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your life, and your focus is not on him. Listen, I told you that the life that is active in you determines the foundation upon which you build. Because the life that is active in you is what suggests to you what you do. The life that is active in you is what influences your decision. And get this. Simply saying, your focus determines the life that is at work in you. That scripture we read says, if you know you have been raised with Christ, stop looking down. Focus on Jesus and the things that are above, things that pertain to him. Listen. He said, set your mind on things where? Above, not on things on the earth. Listen. You and I have two options. To either set our mind and affection on Christ and things above, or on ourselves and the things that we need. Do you understand that? As you are seated here, is either your focus is on Christ and on things above, or your focus and your affection is on yourself and the things that you need. In fact, most of the time, not even things we need, things we want. We are more conscious of our wants than our needs. If your focus is on Christ and on things and above, you will live for him and build for him. When you build your marriage, you are not building for yourself. It's not about your comfort. Everything you do is for your comfort. You are not building for him. Building your children. You are not building for him. You are building them. Do you know some of us see our children as our future ATM cards or ATM machine? Sorry, women, forgive me. I found that it's more common with women, that's why I'm saying it. I'm not accusing you. But most of the time, you see women corrupting the hearts of their children, especially when. Both of them are not in good time. They are corrupting the heart of the children against their father, so that in case if I lose their father, I won't lose the children. If you, their father, stray away, my children will take care of me. So you begin to operate in the flesh. You throw away the principles of Christ. Your focus becomes how to win your children to yourself because you are living for yourself. Listen, it is very difficult. It takes a man or a woman who have genuinely met with Christ to tell the children not to disrespect their father, even though their father is misbehaving. To genuinely tell them, see, the Bible says, honor thy father and your mother. So, if truly I'm your mother, honor your father also. Oh, mommy, the way this man is treating you, shut up. It's not this man, he's your father. It takes the woman who has met genuinely with Christ. Because do you know what? When you do that, you are not doing it for the man. You are protecting the future of your children. Because if you pollute their heart and they dishonor their father, they are sowing into the flesh, and of from the flesh, they will reap corruption. The Bible cannot be broken. Children, honor your father and your mother so that it can be well with you, and your days can be long upon the earth. No wonder we are seeing so much untimely death among young people today. People are not aware of what is killing them. I'm sharing with you the truth. I owe you the truth. This kind of message is not popular because it does not align with your emotion. Am I talking to somebody? As believers in Christ, if Christ is your life, you are not meant to live by emotion. You are not meant to live by what? By emotion. I'm hurt, I'm pained because of what my husband has done to me, because of what my wife has done to me, but I'm never going to instigate my children against my spouse. Why? For the sake of the future of my children. And for the sake of Christ, who is my life. Do you know what Christ did when he was being crucified? Say, Father, don't charge it to the account. They don't know what they are doing. Many of you don't understand that your spouse doesn't know what they are doing. Can I say something to you? Some of the challenges you face from your spouse, if God allows it, it's because he wants to use it to build you up. Because of the assignment he has for you. Listen, you are a complete hypocrite if you endure outsiders and you can't endure your spouse. Outsiders will trample on your head. They will talk anyhow to you. Because you don't know who will help you tomorrow. You overlook it. You understand? But if it comes to your spouse, I don't go agree. Which kind of thing? You flex musul. That's been hypocrisy. If you can endure outsiders' affliction, you owe your spouse much more endurance. I've told you, you see, if you get angry with your spouse, it is not to get back to them, it's to show them that you are displeased with what they are doing. Be angry and sin not. Am I talking to somebody? Be angry and do what? And sin not. When you get angry and your heart begins to devise evil against your spouse, you have started sinning. Do you know that in this kingdom, you are not judged to have done something only when you do that thing. The moment you start imagining it in your heart and you are comfortable with it in your heart, you have done it. That's why Jesus said, if I look at a woman, in my mind, I did think in my head, wow. This is how this woman's body looks like, this is how she will look like on the bed. And in my mind, I started imagining how it will look if I have sexual intimacy with her on my bed. As far as God is concerned, I don't do them. This is too difficult. There are believers who are murderers. They look at fellow brethren because they feel that that person has hurt them. And they are wishing them dead. That's a murderer. It is not what you do alone that is wrong. It is what you have done in your heart. Can I prove it again to you? Give me Genesis 11, 6. May the Lord give you understanding. Let's start from verse 5. Give me from KJV. KJV. And the Lord. Verse 4. And they say, go to, let us build us a city. Let us, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven, and let us make us a name. Lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. Verse 5. And the Lord came down to see the city. And the tower, which the children of men did what? Have they built it? As far as God is concerned, their intention to build was as real as they've been built. Why? The next verse. Verse 6. And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language. And this they begin to do. And now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. See, when your imagination, your thoughts are wrong against your spouse, against people around you, it is a matter of time you end up doing it. That's why I tell you, when you know that somebody's heart is not always right towards you, set boundary, love them from afar. Because that which they imagine in their heart, one day their hands will carry it out. Because they have submitted their heart to the devil. A lot of people are according to 2 Timothy chapter 2, verse 25. They are already in certain trap. And anything the devil, give me that that's this thing, we'll round off now so that we continue next to next week. In meekness, instructing those that oppose themselves. If God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth, the next verse, and that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil who are taken captive by him at his truth. Go back to verse 25. Let's read from NIV. Those who oppose him, he must gently instruct those, those who oppose you must must, you must gently instruct in the hope that God will grant them what? Repentance, leading them to a knowledge of the truth. The next verse, verse 26, and that they will come to what? So there are a lot of senseless Christians around. They are out of their senses, but they think they know what they are doing. See, if you are walking in bitterness, you are walking in hatred, you are walking in pride, sorry to say you are out of your senses. It sounds hard, but that's the truth. I've told you over and over, as for you as a believer, there is no justified resentment. If God is not laying your sin to your account, and you are laying other people's sin into their account, and you want them to be punished, something is wrong with you. You are not manifesting the life of Christ in you, and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil who has taken them captive. So when you know that somebody is already in the trap of the devil, the devil has taken them captive, they are doing the will of the devil. Set boundaries for them. Don't allow them into your space. Love them from where? Afar. Because someone who has been taken captive, who is not in his senses, if the person kills you, God will see forgive them. God will see what? Forgiving. You know, they can't kill you spiritually. I hope you are where they can't kill you spiritually. And that's why a lot of things you must understand this truth. So where you set your mind upon matters a lot. You either set your mind and affection on Christ and things above. See, when you set your mind on Christ and things above, you care less about what people think about you. You are not ashamed of where you are today. You can see beyond where you are. People can look down on you, they can despise you, they can use your past to describe you, but you just look onto Christ. Focus on things above. And gradually you get transformed to become what you see. Quickly, quickly. From shame to shame. No, from glory to glory, just as by the spirit of the Lord. So I don't need to manipulate anybody, I don't need to deceive anybody, I don't need to lie to anybody to get what I want. I might not look like where I am going, but I focus on Jesus, I focus on what He has done for me through his death and resurrection. I focus on the reality that all things that pertain to life and godliness are mine. All things are mine. I meditate on that until it sinks into my heart. So if you mock me, it's to your own period. Because I know you need me tomorrow. You despise me, I don't care. Huh? Somebody told me years ago. No, at times I'll just sit down in the middle of the night. My mind somehow works in overdrive. I just think about so many things. So once in a while, I just allow my mind to just think. And then when I see that he wants to go beyond, I call it back, say, oh boy, come back. You are still my mind. I still have power over you. Don't go to don't go to a certain level. Somebody look at me and said, Pastor. Pastor. You are stupid. I was in my former church. He said, with all respect. He told me with all respect, too. That's when I know they can insult you respectfully. With all respect. You are stupid. He said, if Bishop doesn't have sense, must you not have sense like it? See how you be. And you are still following. Listen. When people push you into trouble, they will leave you. He said, We all know in this church you are anointed. Must you be suffering like this? See? He said, if I'm not mistaken, now only this trouser you get. And he was right. I have one trouser, two shirts. But see, if I focus on my wants and my need, they will not destroy my life then. Because I will have taken decisions that were based on that suggestion. I will have followed the wrong path because they wanted to start a church for me. Or recently. They brought out some of my clothes back from the laundry. And I didn't have where to pack it in my wardrobe. I just see the cloth full ground inside this thing. There are big bag, wardrobe non full. Big bag on the ground. And that they give out this cloth every time. At the time I said, I make I not give out again because the more I give, the more the cloth they come. And I remember my days of one trouser. That's how that's what helps me to know from Mimi. That if you don't get clots, you will worry about what to wear. When you come get time, you still worry about what to wear. Human beings. That's why you have to know how to be contented. I wanted to come to church this evening. I just said, where should I begin to start from? Close my eye. I just pick one. One. I saw this one wrap inside one island in the laundry. I carry them. Okay, let me look for shirts that will go with it. I search where shirts are. I pick one. Me wait, not two shirts. If I wash the thrust, I know they go out that day. I'll tie a rap throughout the day until the thing dry. If you know you have risen with Christ, focus on him and things above. Refuse to allow people's mockery to draw you into the realm of the flesh where your actions and decisions are based on the flesh. If your actions and decisions are based on the flesh, you are building on self, not on Christ. You are building to satisfy yourself, you are building to meet your needs. I'm just a privileged custodian of those children. I call it my children. You said my children, they are not yours. If they are yours, you should be giving back to them at will. Why do we still pray? Oh Lord, bless me with the fruit of the womb. So what am I saying? Who you have made your life will determine how you live. And who you live for. And who you live for is actually the foundation of whatsoever you build. Who am I living for? In closing. Second Corinthians chapter 5, verse 14 and 15. For the love of Christ compels us. Does what? Compels us. Because we judge thus that if one died for all, then all died. Verse 15. And he died for all. That those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for him who died for them and rose again. So who you live for is the foundation of whatever you build. And you are either living for Christ or living for yourself. You are either living for Christ or see, you can't be living for yourself and be spiritual. Because your motif for everything you desire will be for self-satisfaction. Kindness will become a strategy to get what you want. You'll be doing the right thing for the wrong reason. Am I talking to somebody? It's not everybody that are doing good that are doing it for the right reason. Jesus said, and in the Bible says, you ask. You did not receive. Because you are asking for the wrong reason. You ask to use it to satisfy your own pleasure. The reason why you ask for the thing you are asking for is for self-satisfaction, not for Christ's satisfaction. So if Christ is my life, I live to please Christ. So my business is built to glorify him. My children are raised to glorify him. My marriage is built to advance the cause of his kingdom and glorify him. So for me and my household, we live for him. We live for him. No more about our emotion. Church, if people say you are useless, that's their opinion of you. It's not binding on you. After all, me, your pastor, somebody once told me that the pain my mother went through when she gave birth to me was a waste. What kind of insult will be more than that? That means he has. Judge my life useless because I'm a pastor. Even though I've not gotten to where I'm going, but nobody can say that to me now. You can't say I've lived a wasteful life. Even though we have not publicized the things we do. One of my sons or my mentee is doing his PhD in Ignatius Juro. And he said he would like that his one of the things, his thesis, I mean his thesis is on, is it thesis now, is on the impact of churches in Rumulumini. And so he went around asking what has church the church is done for people. I said, we have a policy in this church that not to publicize out there what we do. In fact, the reason why I share some of the things I do to you is for you to understand how I live so that you can learn from it. Because you are meant to imitate me. So if you don't know how I live my life privately, how will you learn from it? So we do not publish what we do for people. So I called Pastor, Pastor Shima. I said, please, do you have some of the photographs and video? He said, yes, there are some of recent. We have been doing it for years. I have a file in my office, children that will pay their school fees. So far in the last 15 years, we have done about 200 children. Between me, my personal post, and the church post. About 200 children have been catered for within and outside the church. Primary school, secondary school, university. We wish we can do more, but we are doing it within the resources that God has given to me, to us. So when he saw this, he said, Daddy. He said we have our reward. But if we publicize it and everybody praises us, he said, we have already received our reward. The only reason why we want to publicize it is for validation. So if we are building on ourselves and for ourselves, we will seek validation. But because we are building for him, we need only his approval and not the validation of any man. Am I talking to somebody? And when you build your marriage, your life, anything you build, you must come to that understanding that you are not building for human validation. Your marriage shouldn't be compared to any other person's marriage. You are unique. God knows the reason why He brought you and your spouse together. There is something God wants to achieve and accomplish through you. Stop looking around. Stop comparing your husband, your wife with other people. You don't know what the other person's spouse is enduring with them. Your mates, they give their wife. One million every month. You sit down here, you they call yourself man too. What kind of man you be? And if one man is trying his best. Anytime there is a breakup, I pacify myself with that song. He said, is a country, he said, is it an error R and B or country music? He said, I've tried my best, but I guess my best wasn't good, you know. We are back to where we were before. Everybody don't chop breakfast at one time or the other. Praise the Lord. We are going to continue next week. Who are you building for? Who you are building for is the foundation of what you are building. That's what I've been saying since morning. Let's rise up. Have you learned something? So the life of a believer is not bread and tea. It's not bread and tea. It requires total surrender to the Lord. When you surrender to his will, you have made him your foundation. See, let all the storms come, they can't destroy you. Let all the troubles come, you will overcome them. What orders didn't survive, you will survive it. Who am I prophesying to? What drown orders, you will rise above it. In the name of Jesus. Can you lift up your voice and talk to the Lord? Talk to the Lord from the depth of your heart. Lift up your voice and pray from the depth of your heart. Father, grant me the grace to focus on Christ and things that pertains to him. And not on myself and my wants. Lord, let your grace be sufficient for me. Help me, O Lord, to see beyond my pains, to see beyond reproaches, to see beyond my wants, to see beyond other people's opinions about me. Help me to keep my focus on Christ and on things that pertains to him. Help me to keep my focus on Christ and on things that pertains to me, to him. In raising my children, in building my home, in building my business, my career, in my relationship with other people. Father, let your grace be sufficient for me. That my focus will not be on my wants and my need, but on Christ and his finished work for me. And the more you become like him, the more you build like him. Paul the apostle called himself a wise master builder. That is what you and I are meant to be. Wise master builders. In Jesus' mighty name, we have prayed. Children, you will pray this for yourself. Parents, you will pray it for your children. Psalm 127, verse 5. I don't know, was it Pastor Pastor Dan? As he was leading the prayer, I was meditating on my message, and my ears was on what he was saying on my phone. And then the prayer clicked in me. In fact, the Holy Ghost impressed something upon my heart. And I come to a certain understanding. Quickly, I told you my mind walked very fast. I look at so many people. When their children were not raised up in the ways of the Lord, even in the world, when their children are not raised up to their own standard of understanding that lifted them. When they die, everything about them dies with them. Message Bible. You read from Message Bible now. Oh, how blessed are you, parents? With your quivers full of children. Your enemies don't stand a chance against you. You sweep them right off your doorstep. Listen, this is for the children that are raised. On the foundation of Christ. That means for every parent with children, your fulfillment also depends on the fulfillment of your children. Not necessarily that they are going to give you money. Because my prayer for every parent in this house, because that's what I pray for myself, that we will never be a burden to our children. Do I have parents here? At your old age, when you send for your children, they will come quickly because they know that you are not going to put any burden on them. They will have money to pay for their ticket. You see, say, let me send some more money for your ticket. Now then go to the side, your mommy, don't worry, daddy, don't worry. I get money to take care of. Listen, parents. God in his wisdom has raised your children as a wall of defense. That is why the devil will do everything to turn your children against you. Don't cooperate with the devil to make that happen. Am I talking to somebody? Don't do what? Cooperate with the devil to make it happen. If your child disrespects you or disrespect your spouse because of you, it will affect you, then they will face the consequences of disobedience. Consequences of disrespecting their parents. You know, I found out something. Especially with people when they are leaving a church. Not everybody when leaving the church will agree to come for you to pray for them. Because they are afraid that you will pray that everything you have done for me, to me, may God raise people to do it to you. They are afraid of that prayer. Because their heart tells them they have not done well. Am I talking to somebody? Their heart tells them they have not done well. So, what should be a prayer will become a cost to them. If as a child you cannot, you cannot stand that prayer. For your mother or your father to look at you, that everything you have done to me, your children will do that. Repent. Do what? If that prayer will sound like a curse to you, my spiritual father will tell me, Sonjo, every time I give him a seed, say, Sonjo, all these things you are doing for me, God raises children all over the world to do it for you. And I'll say, Amen, without reservation. Because I have no fear. I defend him in his presence and behind him. The easiest way to offend me is to talk evil of him. But not everybody can do that. So not everybody can receive that prayer. So I say, as a child, Lord, help me to fulfill my purpose in my father's family, in my mother's family. Help me to fulfill my purpose. Let my life be continually built on the foundation of Christ. In the name of Jesus, I will not be distracted. I will not be blown away by the deceptions of Satan in this world. Pastor Wisdom was leading prayer along that line this evening. And then, parents, pray it for your children. That they will not be distracted, they will not be deceived. They will not be blown away with demonic lies that is raging in the world today. Can you lift up your voice? As a child, pray for yourself. As parents, pray for your children. Just two minutes, we are closing. Some of you, you are both parents and a child. You are parents to children, and you are your parents are still alive, so you are still a child to your parents. Pray that prayer for yourself and pray it for your children. My children will not stray away. They will not be distracted by the storms of deception going on in the world. Colossians chapter two, verse eight. Colossians two eight. Say, beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of this world and not according to Christ. Father, deliver me, my children, deliver me and my children. From the philosophies and empty deceit of deceit of this world. Deliver us, O Lord, from the tradition of men, which are based on the basic principles of the world and not according to Christ. Help us, O Lord, to align our lives, align our purpose with your will. Help us, O Lord, to build our life. According to the life of Christ in us, and according to the principles of Christ available to us. Help me not to be a child of regret. Help me not to be a child of regret. I will not be a child of regret. Parent, pray for your children. Lord, help my children not to be children of regret to me. Father, we thank you. In Jesus' mighty name, we are prayed. Father, let your grace be sufficient for everyone under the sound of my voice. That in any way anyone under the sound of my voice has built their lives on the basic principles of this world which is not according to Christ. Lord, I ask that this world will illuminate their hearts and give them a sense of repentance. Let everyone's steps be reordered to align with your will, to align with your purpose. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, we ask, O Lord, that your good hands will be strong upon us, that your will for us is what we stand. For every children under the sound of my voice, Lord, I pray there will not be children of regret, there will not be reason for sorrows in their families. In the name of the Lord Jesus, for every parent under the sound of my voice, I ask, oh Lord, that you give them a heart that aligns with your will, that they will raise their children according to your principle and not according to their emotions. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. You dear Father, thank you because you have had us, you will help us, and you help us on time. No family will have any reason to regret over their children in the name of Jesus, Father. Thank you because we know it is done. In Jesus' mighty name, we have prayed. Somebody say living amen to that.
