The Calling of an Originator 1

When you became born again, you received the DNA of God. This DNA solves problems and by virtue of this DNA, you are the light of the world. This means that you must be an originator of good things. If you will be an originator, you have to be intentional about your calling.

This morning I'm not just going to teach, I'm not just preaching a sermon. I'm delivering a message. God has a word for you if you are present in this service. And I would like you to pay attention. Because you can't do better than the quality of the word you have in your heart. This morning I'll be sharing with us a message I've titled the calling of an originator. The calling of an what? The calling of who. From verse 4 to 9. Let me tell your neighbor, say neighbor, you are created to be an originator. You are meant to utter something meaningful in this life. Hebrews 5 from verse 4 to 9. And no man takes this honor to himself. But he who is called by God, who is what? Called by God, just as Aaron was. So also Christ did not glorify himself to become high priest. But it was he who said to him, You are my son. Today I have what begotten you. The next verse. As he also says in another place, you are a priest forever, according to the order of Melchizedek. Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with vehement cries and tears to him who was able to save him from death, and was hard because of his godly fear. Verse 8. Though he was a son, yet he learned obedience by the things which he suffered. And having been perfected, he became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey him. Let's start again from verse 4. But this time around, let's read from New Living Translation. And no one can become a high priest simply because he wants such an honor. He must be called by God for this work, just as Aaron was. So your being born again is not because you actually wanted to. You are called to be. That is why Christ did not honor himself by assuming he could become high priest. No, he was chosen by God, who said to him, You are my son, today I have become your father. And in another passage, God said to him, You are a priest forever in the order of Mekizedek. While Jesus was here on earth, he offered prayers and pleadings with a loud cry and tears to the one who could rescue him from death. And God had his prayers because of his deep reverence for God. Even though Jesus was God's son, he learned obedience from the things he suffered. In this way, somebody say in this way, God qualified him as a perfect high priest, and he became the source or the author or the originator of eternal salvation for all those who obey him. Let's establish something first this morning. Your stand as a believer in Christ. As a believer in Christ, you are called to be an author. I'm not talking about author of books. You are called to be an originator like Jesus Christ. Hear me, church? We need to wake up. Most of us are living below the quality of life that God ordained for us in Christ. If you are truly born again, you are meant to birth something that is not common. You are meant to originate something. Something must come out of your life. Just as Jesus originated eternal salvation. In the book of John, chapter 3, verse 6, the Bible says that which is born, New King James, that which is born of the flesh is what? That which is born of the flesh is flesh. And that which is born of the spirit is what? Is spirit. You are meant to originate something. You are meant to alter something. Your life is not about trying to survive on earth. Your life is not about competing with someone and trying to outdo them in the flesh. You are meant to give birth to something according to God's plan for your life. To compare yourself with an unbeliever, no matter what they appear, they have that which is born of the flesh is what? So as a believer in Christ, you are a partaker of the creative DNA of Christ. Do you know why? When you became born again, it look as if you have more troubles. Am I talking to somebody? You are created to what? Solve problems. Your life is meant to be a sign to others. The Bible says you are the light of the world. A city set upon the hill that cannot be hidden. Light solves the problems of darkness. Do you know why? John 6, 63. John chapter 6, verse 63 says, It is the spirit that gives life. It is the spirit who gives life. The flesh profits nothing. Can I tell you something, church? If you only live your life in the flesh, you are living an unprofitable life. No matter what you appear to have in the natural, you are living an unprofitable life. If you only live your life according to the flesh, it is the spirit that what? Who gives life? The spirit gives life. Simply saying, You are born to give life. Because he that is born of the spirit is who? A spirit. And spirit gives life. So as a child of God, you are created to give life. The Bible says, Let your light so shine. Let's read Matthew 5. I'm trying to establish something because you have to change how you see yourself. The way you see yourself is what determines how you live your life. Matthew 5, verse 14. Quickly. You are not you may be. By the virtue of your spiritual DNA, you are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be what? And not be hidden. Verse 15. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket. But on what? On a lampstand. And it gives light. It gives light to all who are in the house. So you are meant to give light. You are meant to give life. Because the job of the spirit is to give life. If you enter an environment and confusion begins, you are living a strange life, a fake one, a foreign life that is alien to you. If you enter into a place and everything becomes jaga jaga, it simply means you don't know who you are. See, if someone in Genesis, someone called a supplanter could enter into somebody's space and everything prosper, you have no choice. Can I say something to you? Genesis was a dispensation of grace, just as we are we have now. But now we have better privileges because the full price of sin that separated mankind from God has been paid. We have been fully reconciled back to God. Jacob was not born of the spirit. Yet he walked into Laban's house, and everything in Laban's family changed. Because the spirit gives life. What you carry should be felt anywhere you go. Listen, it is insult to your DNA to join a company or an organization, or you find yourself in a group and things are not working there. It simply means you are underperforming. You are not living the life that truly belongs to you. You are not living the life that you have received in Christ. The life you have in Christ impacts others. Can I challenge you, church? Since you became an adult, how many people can you count that because they came in contact contact with you, their life changed for good? How many? That oh, these people came in contact with me, and they can testify that their lives were no longer the same. Can I say something to you, church? There are people now who has gone to be with the Lord that I can never forget. Because they walked into my life and things changed. Their impacts, even though I'm not seeing them in the physical, I always remember them. Why? Because of their impact. And say, Oh Father Lord, thank you for the day I met so, so, so, and so. Who can say that about you? It is the spirit that gives life. You are born of the spirit, you are meant to give life. When people meet with you, their lives are not meant to remain the same for good. Can I say something to you, church? You will always remember for two reasons. For the problem you caused, and for the problem you solve. If you cause problem, you will not be forgotten. And if you solve problem, you will not be forgotten. What will we remember you for? What will your family members remember you for? A problem causer or a problem solver? I was talking with a pastor's training session on Friday. One of my sons in the church, in the one of my sons there, one of the pastors, he said, in his place of work, a pastor came to meet him and to do some work for him. And he said, the pastor said, he's a very flamboyant person. But he said they should be close. He said, but he found out that every time this pastor came around him, that he will be looking for his fire. Some people are fire is the guisha. They come into your life, they kill your fire. Listen, some of you seated here, the root of your problem is that you allow a wrong person into your space. They are not necessarily witches or wizards. Let me tell you something. Pastor Dan, some people are not witches and wizards, but they are more wicked than witches and wizards. Their wickedness is stronger. Because witches and wizards will wait for nights to try to attack you. They attack you in the day and in the night. Do you know that one wrong word against you can make you begin to struggle? One wrong rumor against you can become the reason why your life becomes stagnated. Am I talking to somebody? So you will always be remembered for either the problem you solve or the problem you caused. And if you are causing problem, can I say to you, you are living a foreign life that is not your own, a borrowed life that you are not meant to live. Listen, I'm not afraid to die. Do you know why? I know where I'm going. Don't be afraid. I'm not talking like somebody who is not going anywhere. I'm not going anywhere. I soon know. Am I talking to somebody? Ah ah, see, when I we finally leave. Now people go miss me. Because the kind of life, and I've not started, I'm just warming up. The kind of life I want to live, I don't want anybody to come across me and they remain the same, except they choose to remain the same. That is the life you are called to. You are called to originate something, not just to survive. Our calling as originators are as real as the calling of Christ is real. From verse 12 to 14, from New Living Translation. Can I say something to somebody? If somebody tell you they are just using you, they are just using you, be happy. It simply means you are useful. There are people. People want to use them, but they are not useful. They are uselessly useless. Some people are satisfied burdens to everyone around them. They add no value to anyone. That's not the life of a believer. Listen, no matter how difficult things are, if you understand what we are sharing this morning, you will know that in the midst of your difficulties, you can still give life. And somebody came, said they have not eaten. 200 naira with four children. I said, This is all that the man of God have, but let's change it. You take 100, I take 100. The person was not married, though, was a single person. Listen, if people come to you, it's because they have belief that something will come out of you. Yes, you can't solve everybody's problem. But the one God has equipped you to solve, do it. First Corinthians chapter 12. I'm trying to establish that your calling is real. Because you are born of the spirit. Jesus is an originator, he's an author. You are meant to utter something. He uttered eternal salvation to create room for you to utter something also. See, listen, look at who you are. The woman body has many parts. He has many, but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Christ. See, many of us are not discerning this body, and we are creating problems for our own personal life. Oh, my mother of blessed memory used to have a parable. He said, she said, um ja, oh, equang parai, oh lung paja. You want to know the meaning? This tick that socked the blood of dogs, she said that thing is killing itself. It thing is killing the dog. She said, when dog die, make it their life. Do you understand that? Tick that sucked the blood. If the dog die and the deep ground drop the dog's body and cover it, what would they be covering? Both the tick and the. So when the thick thinks he's killing the dog, he's killing himself. Listen, whatsoever you do to the body of Christ, you are doing to yourself. Not just this church. That's why every genuine church, no matter what, don't join them to attack the body of Christ. You are injuring yourself unknowingly. Go back. The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Christ. Verse 13. Some of us are Jews, some are Gentiles, some are slaves, and some are free. But we have all been baptized into one body by one spirit. And what we all share the same spirit. That means your background shouldn't be the reason why you are not originating something. Verse 14. Yes, the body has many different parts. Not get this church. If this hand says, Now lie, yeah, not be dewary. Is it not deceiving itself? And you know the funniest thing? The life that makes this hand function comes from dewary. Every time you attack the body, you are disenfranchising yourself. You are cutting yourself off from the life that flows from Christ. You are still a member of the body, but you can stifle yourself and prevent the flow of the life of Christ that makes you a creator. Life will now be full of struggles. Just struggle to make things happen. You just struggle. See, it's good to be sensible, but in these kingdoms, your sense can't take you too far. The world live by their senses alone. Even the world knows, they know that their senses alone is never enough. That's why check them out, both Africans and Europeans, and you see some of them get involved in one occultic practice or the other because they know that senses alone are not enough. Something supernatural is required to live successfully in this world. I hope you are aware that white people too now do sacrifice. They even do human sacrifice. Open your eyes very well. The white has joined in the backwardness. Because everybody has come to terms with the fact that natural living alone cannot give you satisfaction and fulfillment. But the only problem they have is that the paths they choose, they still find out that there is no fulfillment in it. But blessed be God who has made us a partaker of the life of Christ. So what am I saying? What was the message to you this morning? You have a calling hanging on your life. You have what? A calling. A cold man like you, a cold woman like you, just thinking about what to eat, just thinking about what to drive, just thinking about what to wear. Do you know some people might not be in church today because they say all my clothes I don't wear and finish? So I now go to repeat cloth. You for the change your skin. Since you don't like repeating things, do what? Change your skin. Because you repeat your skin every day with a siam. Am I talking to somebody? It is because such person does not or do not understand how blessed they are, what they have. Your life is beyond what you wear. I've told you my story over and over. Once upon a time, I had one trouser. A chinos khaki color with two shirts. And I wore that chinos for two to three years. No cloth was, no trouser was competing with it. He enjoyed the dominance of my wardrobe. So the extent that if I have to wash it, I don't look physically well, I have to smell it. If it's not yet smelling, it's not due for washing. And if I have to wash it, I wash it in the night. So that before tomorrow night it will dry. Because I have to stay at home. Or if I didn't tell you, you know. Let's read what Jesus said. Matthew chapter 6. Because something must shift in the inside of you. Am I talking to somebody? Something must shift. You must see yourself better. Give him from verse 24. No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. The next verse, therefore, I say to you, do not worry. This is Jesus talking, not Apostle Paul. Do not worry about your life. What you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body. Hold on, don't remove it. There are some of you listening to me now. You look at yourself in the mirror, your mind is spoiled. Because you are wishing one part of your body should not be the way it is. Hello. Is that not the reason why they do? Is it BBL? Is it BBL? They call it. Somebody will look at ourselves. Spend millions of naira to add to waiting, they take sit down. After spending that money on top of chair, we take and sit down. Can't you see the vanity in human beings? How we become stupid and senseless. Therefore, I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing. The one who gave you the body, is it not generous and faithful enough to give you the clothes to cover it with? Verse 26. Look at the birds of the earth, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into bands. Yet, your heavenly father, not their heavenly father, your heavenly father, they have no heavenly father. Yet they neither sow nor reap, nor gather into bands. Yet, your heavenly father does what fits them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one qubit to his stature? You know, I preached this message to myself years ago. When I was always worrying, how will I take care of these children? How will I how will these children not feel bad? That it's because their father is a pastor, that's why they are suffering. All manner of things fly in my head. And I saw this scripture. Which of you by worrying can add one qubit to a stature? I now find that instead of me adding qubit to my stature, now reduce and reduce them. Because worrying, they make me lose weight. Weight where I know get. No, it's some people you you see, some people have spare flesh to lose when they are worried. But those of us that don't have that luxury, we are still joining them to worry. Tell yourself and know the worry again. Worry, not the solve problem. And I'm a problem solver. I will not allow worry to blindfold me and make me forget who God has made me to be as an originator of good things. Do you believe that? Go back. So which one of you by worrying can add one could be to his stature? The next verse. So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow, they neither toil nor spin. The next verse. And yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. See, there are there are flowers. Beautiful. Well decorated. But do you know one thing I also observe? Those who are genuinely very rich don't care about clothes. Check what mocks they wear. And I punch you small. Won't you complain? See, it is when it is when. Oh Lord have mercy on me. Those who want to be seen, wants to choose, they don't get too much. If you are still trying to prove a point, you don't get. Those wicked. They don't care. Because they know what they wear does not define them, they define what they wear. I read something that uh Yankee Ojuku posted about Peter Obi. 2022. He said, umjuku was still alive and they were he was sick. They were in US. He said, so the president, good Lord Jonathan, sent he came, Peter B came as governor of Anambra State then to see him and also to um deliver message from the president to him to get well quick. And also Peter B had to deliver a talk in a conference that American legislators, senators, and all those things, government officials will be there. He said, This man came with one roll on small case. Said so. He just told them as he got to the house, delivered the message. He just said he will need to shower to refresh him before going for the meeting. He said, So he opened this thing, just had one spare shirt. I said, Oh god, which clock you go? We had to go. So that was when he realized that ah, he didn't uh so Madame Bianca said, he said, then let's go to the store. Buy so he took him to store where they sell suit. Three thousand something dollars. So when she chose for him and said, This one fits the occasion. How much? 3,800 and something dollars. He said, Do you know how many children this money will send to school in Nigeria? He said, No, she no go, he no go by. So they now had to go to another shop where he bought normal suit for $220. So when he he said that was the suit he walked to the conference. When he was to leave on the day when he was going to the airport, he said he put his hand into his pocket, counted crisp dollars, and told Biancas and said, That suit we are supposed to buy for $3,000. I've removed the $220. So this is the remaining. Look for those who genuinely have needs, use it to solve their problem. And in that write up, Madame Bianca mentioned the people in Nigeria that the money benefited. The man is not trying to prove anything. Listen, you wear very nice things. We say, Wow, this is powerful. You look good when you wear it next time. We know go tell you say you look good. We have seen it before. And the day you wear the one that looks, they will forget you've been wearing good ones. Say, how you can't dress like this. What did happen? What did it be your problem? See how you look like they will use mouth finish you. Let me tell your neighbor, say neighbor, don't live to impress anybody. It's none of your business whether they are impressed about you or not. Their impression, no, they add value to your destiny. How many people you look good? Help. Oh, pastor, is it bad to give compliments? No, but don't be going about looking for it, and everything in your head is how to get compliments when you should be solving problems. So most believers are not fulfilling their calling, they are just existing and surviving. May you not be among them anymore. The reason why it is so with believers is because they do not understand the demands of the life that they have. See, what annoys me with governments in Nigeria is that when somebody builds one flyover or make one route, will come and say, I build flyover for you. Now your papa money you take build down. Sorry, I talk like this. You use government money, which is meant for the people, to make infrastructure available for the people, and you want us to lick your boots. Get out. Somebody said, get out to one politician. Oh, you know, people will be, oh, you don't try. But you know, we used to back thino. Week before last, P A C N-Snepper, for one week, they were giving us light. So when they will take the light, my wife said, You that you don't try. You don't try. I said, Jesus. And there are countries. You will be there for months, for years. Life no go blink. They have conditioned us to an evil pattern, and we are used to it. Maybe you not be used to bad things. Try what? Is that not your work to provide light? Somebody said, as governments arrest those who criticize them. Somebody said, if you don't like heat, don't enter kitchen. If you don't like heat, don't enter where? Enter kitchen. Because there will always be heat in the kitchen. I used to feel bad as a pastor. When people think again, talk against. I said, I'm trying. I don't want to offend any Jesus. I know they feel bad again, no. Thank you, sir. I know they what? They talk against Jesus. So what's my problem? It's pride that was affecting me when I was feeling bad. Now, I don't buy. Now, Christ, they live in me now. I know the verse. I'm crucified with Christ. Nevertheless, I live. It's no longer I that lives, but Christ lives in me. Christ living in me is used to being insulted. He's used to being called, they call him Prince of Bezebu. I ain't no by anybody. Listen, church, when you truly begin to see yourself the way God wants you to see yourself, your life will be simple and peaceful. Tell yourself again, I am an originator of good things. So I said a lot of believers are not fulfilling their calling, they are just existing and surviving. Because they do not understand the demand of their life. I was talking on phone with somebody yesterday. On somebody outside the country, and it was WhatsApp called. You know when you are on WhatsApp call, when somebody calls you from direct line, um the it will suspend your data so it will break the call. And what the thing was very in important, what we are discussing, very, very important. So somebody started calling. I was cutting, the person was calling back. I was cutting his face, was calling back. I was cutting. I felt like saying, if I call this person, I know who you are. And I remember now you say you'll be pastor. Now you introduce yourself as pastor. So as pastor, they must call you. So no vexation. Am I talking to somebody? So when I finally call the person back, I said, next time you see that I'm cutting your call, I'm cutting your call, is because I'm talking or I'm doing something very important that I will always get back to you. There are demands of your calling. Before I show you the demands, please everybody listen to this. It is not your natural gift thing that will make you in life. Some of you are very intelligent. Very, very intelligent. But intelligence without fulfilling the demands of your calling will give you frustration. Some of you are gifted. You have one talent or the other. Let me give you an example. David was talented. He was gifted. He was a powerful musician. I hope you know. So powerful and anointed as a musician that when the king had madness and they invited David to play for him, as soon as David started playing, the demon will leave him. So the gifting of David brought him into the palace. But there is a difference between being in the palace and being on the throne. Your gifting will bring you before great men and not. But that doesn't mean your calling will be fulfilled. Many of us celebrate knowing great people. Forgetting that you also have to be great. You are carried away by knowing, in fact, your boasting, your confidence in tomorrow is because you know one senator, you know one House of Assembly member, you know one who. I read the pathetic story of a young man yesterday. He said he struggled to gain admission to university. He was always, he tried several, he was, it was not always working. Finally, he got admission to Ladokia Kentola University of Technology in uh I think Gogomo show in Oyo State. And at 200 level, his pile suddenly disappeared. He didn't see it again. Say thank God for a staff member who now took it upon two, otherwise, he will have dropped out again. So finally, everything became okay. And he got graduated this the last month or two months. He graduated and he died the following day. Not sick. The sister said the following day in the morning, he told the sister, please, who greens for me. I'm going to play football. Come, I want to eat that. He didn't come back. Within one hour of him leaving the house, his name, his picture has appeared on a WhatsApp group as R I P. The family member, the younger brother, saw it on a WhatsApp group.

Oh Jesus. Can you rise up on your feet? Can you put your right hand on your head?

I stand here on the authority of Jesus, the head of all principalities and powers. Whatsoever is contending with your destiny and your life that is waiting for you in the day of your celebration to put your joy to an end. In the name of Jesus, I command to that counter. Your job will not be taken away. Your peace will not be taken away. Thank you, Father. Please take your seat. So to understand the demands of your calling, you have to look at the demand of the calling of Christ. Do you understand that? I will just summarize it. Hebrews 5 7 to 9. Let's quickly read it again. Hebrews 5 7 to 9. Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with vehement cries and tears to him, who was able to save him from death and was hard. And was hard because of his godly fear. Verse 8. And having been perfected, he became the author, the originator of eternal salvation to all who obey him. Having been perfected. Another word for that is having been completed. The Greek word translate to that perfected is also means to be completed. That's not saying that Jesus was not complete. But you see, the process, when it was completed, he became the author of eternal salvation. And the only way that the process will complete is when you become mature. How do you interpret your suffering? How do you interpret your challenges? Let me remind you something from that John 6, 63, one more time. Quickly, quickly. It is the spirit who what who gives life. So if you don't interpret your situation correctly and you act in the flesh, you will live an unprofitable life. In five, the problem the suffering you are trying to erase, you multiply it. You increase it. That was the problem with the people of Israel. The journey of 40 days became 40 years' journey for them. Why? They had no mature interpretation for why they were in the wilderness. They kept complaining and they kept looking back. They kept telling Moses, is there are there no grave in Egypt that you have brought us into this place to kill us? They misunderstood the process of their calling. Meanwhile, God was working on them to take Egypt away from them so that when they get to Canaan, they will be able to live the life that Canaan demands. While they were in Egypt as slaves, they were used to being dictated to. Okay. Deuteronomy chapter 8, verses 2 and 3. Let me show you something there quickly. And you shall remember that the Lord your God led you all the way these 40 years. We are in the wilderness to do what? To humble you, to bring you to a place of submission, and test you to know what is in your Heart. God knows what was in their heart. But He wanted them to show it. You know, there are times, you know, when people tell you this is what you want to do, and you have not said it, you can easily deny it because it's still in your heart. Is that right? So God didn't want them to deny anything, to humble you and test you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments or not. It's about keeping God's word. The next verse. So he humbled you, allowed you to what? Allowed you to allow you to hunger. He allowed them to hunger. Not because he couldn't supply their food. And fed you with manner which you did not know, nor did your fathers know. That he might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord. Satan brought the same temptation to Jesus in the wilderness. The temptation that they failed, Jesus passed it. Say, you are hungry. If truly you are the Son of God, turn these stones to bread. Because you can do it. Jesus said, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word. That was a life of surrender, a life of submission, a life that depends solely on God and is not trying to prove anything to anyone. To fulfill your calling, you have to step out of this trying to prove this, prove that. You've got nobody to prove anything to. For you to have a change of heart and choose not to live your life as a survivalist. But as a man, a woman who have a calling to accomplish. The reason why many of us are struggling today is that life is not about, oh Lord, bless me, oh Lord help me. My children's coffee, my this, my this, my house friend, my, my, my. And God is saying you are not ready. That's not the reason why I raised you. I want you to see from my perspective. Hannah Hannah. Every year appeared in Shiloh. Oh Lord, give me a child. Benina is mocking me. Oh Lord, silence my mocker. And God is saying, When you are ready, I will know. Until one year. At the same Shiloh, he said, Lord, if you give me a son, I will give him back to you. That was a time he realized that heaven has approved her womb to produce a priest, a prophet. It was a calling. So when he said, If you give me a male child, I will give him back to you. God said you are talking now. There is a deal. Because God has already rejected Eli and his thiefing sons. And then God has approved her. Her womb has been sanctified. That the first child that will come out of the womb belonged to the Lord. So until she came to terms with that, the baby didn't come. Some of your breakthrough timing will be determined by you. When you say God's timing, God's timing, some of God's timing will be determined by you. Do you know how? When you surrender to what He wants to do with your life for that moment, your time may come. Your time come. Use me. And you submit to that, and you begin from where you are to add value. Your time has come. So the moment Hannah recognized that okay, the issue is not just about asking for a child, it's something God wants from me. Remember the father of John the Baptist and the mother. They kept serving the Lord until their old age. Because they knew that God will do something through their life. Listen, church, you are the only one looking down on yourself. Heaven has esteemed you so much. Hell fears you because of the weight of what you carry. When I remember that me that got admission in the early 80s to university, and there was nobody to pay for my school fees. That if it's mean working in construction site, and the people taking care of my younger ones said, if I try it to go to school, they withdraw my younger ones from school. So that I should go and look for work since I've finished secondary school, so that I could join them to take care of my younger ones. I went to one of my cousins, my senior cousins. He said I should go and look for four persons to join him to pay the school fees. He knew I would never get four persons. Where will I get them from? But when I remember that that same boy of yesterday is now a man, and by the grace of God, many have passed through schools because of this same person that was not privileged. I say, Lord, now you do this one. This is not to insult those who drive commercial vehicles. No. That is a point. You see, there is a place, but it might not be your final place. Don't accept certain place as your final place. I drove down for. Those who are familiar with Lagos. I started from local airport to international, but that one was not making much money. At the end of the day, because you have to park and wait for passengers to come. So at the end of the day, I have to look for money to add to what I had to pay the owner. For how long will I do that? So I told the owner that this thing is not working here. Let me go to where. So I have to go to Osho D and start loading from Osho D to Ojuelegba, Ujuelegba to Osho D. And I became a mini Agberu. But do you know that if not for the mercy of God, that would have been the end. But I believed I had to do something. I registered with ICANN. That time I thought I wanted to be an accountant. I sat for my ICANN Foundation. I passed. I had to go to the next, but after that, I got a job as an account officer. I didn't like sitting in the office. You know, the talkative man in me was not finding expression. I would just stay in the office, dealing with vouchers and paperwork and dressing. At the end, I would get up looking for who to talk to. My boy said, Where are you going? What are you looking for? Until a friend told me, you might be a salesperson. So leave accounting work. I said, very well. Now I'm selling for Jesus. I have to register with the Nigerian Institute of Management and some other professional body to start courses in sales management. That's how I found myself as a sales rep, became a sales executive and before Jesus took over. Am I talking to somebody? You are on a journey. Don't give up. Let me tell your neighbor, don't give up. You carry a calling. There is a calling upon your life. There is a calling upon your life. You are an originator. You are meant to bring forth something. Two things. In conclusion. We talk about them in the nearest future. The demands of your calling. Number one, deep reverence for God. Deep reverence for what? For God. Deep reverence for God. It's not cheap. You can't work it. It's the thing of the spirit. Bible says Jesus prayed vehemently. And God had him because of his godly fear. That is talking about deep reference. If you read it from NLT, deep reference for God, prioritizing God above any other thing. But because God's word said, don't do it. Say for the sake of Christ, I won't do it.

But they are not saying bad things about you. They know you are discrediting them behind, they are not paying you back. Those are the truly dangerous people. Do you know what the Bible says? When you see your enemies hungry, do what? Give them food. They are thirsty. Give them drink. So it can be water, can be milk. It can be coke. Whatever you have in form of drink or smoothies. You give them. But you know the pathetic thing about it. He said, by so doing, you are heaping a coal of fire on them. That is if they continue in the wickedness you are doing. Godly reference is a lifestyle of the spiritual people, not religious people. There shall come forth a rod from the stem of Jesse, and a branch shall grow out of his root. Verse 2. Quickly. Who is the spirit of the Lord? Is the spirit of wisdom? Is the spirit of understanding? Is the spirit of counsel? The spirit of might is the spirit of knowledge. And the spirit of what? The fear of the Lord. That's why. When our former immediate past president, Muhammad Dubwari, when he wanted to, somebody told me in a pastor's forum. And he says, that's the kind of man we need. That man has the fear of God as a man of God. No unbeliever can have the fear of God. They might be moral people. They don't have the fear of God because the fear of God comes by the spirit of God. If you don't have the spirit of God, you cannot have the fear of God. Have you seen it? The fear of God is the spirit. Look at verse 3. His delight is in what? Is in the fear of the Lord. And he shall not judge by the sight of his eyes, nor decide by the hearing of his ears. Verse 4. But with righteousness he shall what? Judge the poor and decide with equity for the milk of the earth. So a man that operates with godly fear does not judge matters based on their feelings. The Lord corrected me. I had one thing I learned a dialect. And when you call, that dialect means that word means animal. Until one day the Lord said, Are you aware that he was created in my image and in my likeness? So when you call him animal, fill in the gap. There are times I'm driving with my wife and somebody misbehaved. I want to ha Jesus. Have mercy. My flesh wanted to animalize the person, but the fear of God constraints me. Because I have to identify the I mean, recognize the fact that this person was created in the image and the likeness of God.

He learned obedience by the things he suffered. Some of the challenges we go through are meant to bring us to a place of obedience to God. The word translated to obedience means to learn under. To do what? Learn under. It's about surrendering to Him alone. The bridge between you and your next level is your obedience. Do you know what? God designed your life. He knows your beginning. He knows your end from the beginning. He's the only one who can take you through the journey of life successfully. Am I talking to somebody? He's the only one who can take you through the journey of life. How? Successfully. He knows what he has prepared for you. You know, there was a time I just wanted to relocate to overseas. Before I became a pastor. I was going, I was coming back. I've been to many countries. Many, many. In Asia. In Europe.

They bundled me inside plane to Cote d'Ivoire. So when I got there, the people said, What are you doing here? I said, I don't know, not them. They threw me inside prison. I was there for three days. Till a flight was coming to Nigeria. They now put me into Nigeria. As I got to Nigeria, where are you coming from? And they deported me from Brazil to Koda. NDL, we know people like you. They carried me. NDL, they screened me, screened my stomach, did everything until they found nothing. I started again. Do you know what broke me? The last trip was to South Korea at the entrance. We arrived there around 11 in the night. In places that has nothing to do with your calling. Some of the failure actually are act of God's mercy to you. So I got to the I had one fake Union Bank. Uh what do they call this now? Um traveler's check in those days. They were using traveler's check in those days. So there's a place in Oluwale. If you don't have cash, you do fake this and so that the point of the year you say you get money. But you don't get shishi. So they carried us there. And I got the this and so for either $20 or $25,000. As I came to buy things, uh that I'll go in, I'll just stay for three or four days. The immigration guy looked at say, You, you, you big man in your country. Your country needs you. Go back. In my mind, I said, Which devil? Which devil I come meet for this night. I said, No, I just want to buy something. Said, she said, Don't buy, don't buy. Go back to your country. He carried me. He allowed the person that we are traveling together to enter. When that one stood over there waiting for, he told that one that he will carry and join me. If he doesn't go. So they put me in one office, gave me food, gave me drink. I ate. I drank. The following morning, that plane that brought me. They escorted me to the departure gate. They gave me my passport. As I entered the plane, I opened my passport. I saw that they didn't stamp me as deported. He stamped me that I entered yesterday night, I came out this morning. Now here we did now. So that is why when I tell you certain things, I'm not telling you cock and bull story. If you don't know how to submit to the will of God for your life, you will prolong your own journey. You make it very long. 40 days turning to 40 years. Everybody will pray for you. It will look as if prayer not the work. All you need is just to hear him and obey. A U-turn, a repentance can change your life forever. Let's rise up on our feet.

Please, if the word pinch you this morning, God's word corrects, it rebukes. You understand me? It's not an attack, it's for a transformation. Was it two weeks ago? My wife did something, and I wanted to shout. But I had the Lord said, I don't shout on my bride. So if Jesus doesn't shout, how many of you Jesus has shouted on? You are his bride. He doesn't shout on us. That's why the voice of the spirit will always come as a still small voice. That's why a lot of people miss it. So I kept quiet. After a while, towards the end of the day, I called her, I sat her down. So I now talk, I explain. Her countenance changed like she was angry. But when I finished, are you done? I said, Yes. Say, thank you, sir. She got up, went back to the kitchen. I said, Ah, she has taken it like an attack now. I told her the truth. She don't verse. I didn't shout too. Prayer might just be what you need for your next level. Many of us are not hearing God because we have consistently walked in disobedience. And our conscience, our heart has been corrupted. Now we are no longer sensitive to his voice. Because our mind and our hearts have become beglouded by our negative emotions. From the depth of your heart. Father, help me. Help me to submit my will to your will. Help me to be alive to you. That is your life in me. Let me begin to fight for the expression. You arrest me. That you have for me in Christ. I surrender all. Everything that threatened you before you came into this service will produce honey in your life. When Samson was going to get married, going with the parents, he met a young lion, strong lion. And he slew the lion without the knowledge of the parents. Another time they were going again and they were hungry. The lion that he killed yesterday has miraculously produced honey. Listen, today, as you agree with your strongest amen, I release you to go forth and slay your lion. Everything that has been a threat and opposition to your life and destiny, as you go forth, by divine empowerment, by the power of God working in you and through you, receive the enablement to slay them now in the name of Jesus. Your own lion might be a wrong attitude. Therefore, in the name of Jesus, as you go forth, that lion is slain for your sake in the name of Jesus. Your slain lion begins to produce honey. Honey. Honey in your life. In the name of Jesus. Please lift up your right hand. I lift up my hands over your life. I stand in the fullness of the power and the authority of the name of Jesus. From this day, as you agree with your three loudest amen, by the workings of the grace of God, enter into your season of sweetness. I release you into your season of sweetness. Your relationship becomes sweet. Your marriage becomes sweet. Your ministry becomes sweet. Your business becomes sweet. Your financial life becomes sweet. Your spiritual life becomes sweet. In the name of Jesus, by this sweetness, begin to alter, begin to bring forth, begin to initiate, begin to create what God has ordained you to create in the name of Jesus. Over the next 12 months, by the voice of the spirit, by the power and the authority of the name of Jesus, you will give birth to something new that your generation will come looking for. So by this oil of your calling, because we activate the oil of your calling, the oil of your calling, in the name of Jesus, everything and everyone you need comes to you now in the name of Jesus.
