The first password is mercy

Your prayers are answered because of the compassion of your high priest which he expressed by offering Himself as a sacrificial lamb.

You are told to come boldly before the throne of grace and obtain mercy, not because you are good but because your high priest is good. So when you pray, you don't pray with confidence in your goodness, you pray with confidence in your high priest's goodness.

Understand that your prayers are answered primarily because of the righteousness of your high priest.

They pray so much, yet they get very little result only because they don't understand how prayer works. Whatever is of great value needs revelation. That's why, even in the natural. Every mineral resources that are expensive, that are greatly valuable, are not seen on the surface. You've got to dig for it. The amazing thing is that even the unbelievers pray. Unfortunately, we as believers we pray like them. We just pray because we need to pray. And that's why we often get tired of praying. Upper Thursday, I started a teaching night to pass words to answered prayers. And I told us that all our prayers as believers in Christ have been answered in Christ. Each time I think about so many things. You see, we often claim to know that God is awesome, God is great, but we underestimate his power. We underestimate his kindness, his mercy, his goodness towards us. I told us two Thursdays ago that when you pray according to the will of God, which are the promises of God, your answers are guaranteed. We read from Amplified Version. It says, As surely as God is trustworthy and faithful and means what he says. God means what he says. Our speech and message to you have not been yes. That might mean no. The next verse. For the Son of God, Christ Jesus, the Messiah, who has been preached among you by us, by myself, Sylvanus and Timothy, was not yes and no. But in him it is always the divine yes. It's always what? The divine yes. Verse 20. For as many, somebody say as many, as many as are the promises of God, they all find their yes. That is their answer in who? In Christ. For this reason, we also utter the amen, so be it, to God through him, in his person and by his agency, to the glory of God. Now, if your prayers are done on the basis of God's word, your answers are guaranteed in Christ Jesus. There is no no. There is nothing like no. Because when you say God say no to my prayers, it means God has canceled his promise to you. It means God has canceled his promise. And he will not. He said, These promises are fulfilled, have been fulfilled in Christ. But many of us are stuck in religion. Our mind has been messed up by religion. We choose to believe, and we find it easier to believe that God did not answer our prayer, or our prayer is bouncing back from the seat. Do you know that every time we downplay God's word, we are misrepresenting him. We are presenting him to the world as irresponsible. So you have to understand this teaching so that it can positively impact on your prayer life. So that you can eliminate the doubt that hinders you from receiving answers to your prayers. So when we pray on the basis of the word of God, our answers are guaranteed in Christ. However, I told us there are past words. I call them past words or passcodes. You need to know as believers that will enable you to receive the answers to your prayers. Not for God to actually answer your prayers, but for you to receive the answer. God has answered your prayer, but you need to be able to receive it. Let's establish that before I go forward. Let's go back to that popular scripture we all know. James chapter 1, from verse 1 to 8. So let's establish that that God has already answered you, but you need to be able to receive. From verse 5 to 8. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God who gives to all liberally and without what? And without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask how? In faith, with no doubting. For he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will what? That he will receive anything from the Lord. Now, the point, go back to that place. So the point, verse 7 and 8, is showing us that it's not about God giving, it's about we receiving. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord. The Bible is not saying, let not that man suppose that God will give him anything. There are two different things. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord. So if we are not receiving, the problem is not with God, the problem is with our own understanding. Now look at verse 8. That person that is not receiving is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. Double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. So the reason why people are not receiving is not because God is not giving. God gives. In fact, he gave before you ask. But you should be able to understand how to receive when you pray. And that's why you need what I've called these pastwords. So, what are these pastwords? We're going to discuss one of them a little bit this evening. Hebrews chapter 4, verses 14 to 16. Hebrews chapter 4, verses 14 to 16. If you understand this, your prayer lives will change. You will never accept the lies of the devil that God is telling you no. Seeing then that we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens. Jesus, the Son of God, let us do what? Hold fast our confession. Let us hold fast our confession. Do you know the Greek word translated to confession? Do you know what it means? Saying what he said. Do you understand that? So that means our confession should be what God has said about us, not what we have done wrong. Let us hold fast. Our confession. Because it's very crucial. If you are going to receive from God, you are repeating what somebody said. So the confession is saying what God has said about you. If he said, You are righteous, that's what I say about myself. I'm not going to say what I feel, and I'm not going to say my experience, I'm going to say what he says concerning me. He said, Hold fast a confession. So if he says, none of you will cast your young, that is, you won't suffer miscarriage. That is what he says. That is what I'm going to keep saying. That is my confession. I'm going to hold fast to my confession. Because my confession is the channels through which my answers get to me. If it says by his stripes, I am healed. Because that is where the answers to my prayers concerning the healing of my body will be received. Let us, he said, see then that we have what? A great high priest who has passed through the heavens. Jesus, the Son of God. Let us hold fast our confession. Your high priest has accomplished something for you in the heavenly, and on the basis of his accomplishment, he has given you a word, a revelation. This is what I have done for you. This is what I have made happen for you. Hold on to that confession. The next verse, verse 15. For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses. The word translated to weaknesses here means the feebleness of the mind and the body. We'll come back to that later. For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Take note, the word tempted means to scrutinize. Did you hear that? That is, if you say you are an accountant, we will give you accounting problem to solve. To scrutinize your claim. So if you say you are a child of God, we'll give you problem that only a child of God can solve. To scrutinize your claim. I don't know if somebody's getting that. That's what temptation is. To be present so that what or who you say you are you show it. Years ago, many years back, I had a car. The speedometer of the car was two sixty, two hundred and sixty. And most cars had just had their speedometers up to two hundred and two twenty. So one day I was traveling to Lagos with a car. And I said, how can they say this bank with this two six and I never try him? I said this time around I will match it well so that I can reach that two sixty. Let me see how it feels. I was trying to scrutinize the car, whether the claim of the manufacturer was true or not. Thank God say I know killing myself. Go back to where we are reading. Go back to that Hebrews 4. For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, the feebleness of our mind and our body. But was in all points tempted. He was scrutinized. See, all misdeeds, all sins has three foundations. Number one, lust of the flesh. Number two, lust of the eyes. Number three, the pride of life. Any sin a man will commit will spring forth from those three. Those three areas were the basis upon which Jesus was tempted or scrutinized. And he passed. The same thing that Adam failed in the garden, Jesus passed in the wilderness. I think you need to understand that. Adam failed his own in the midst of comfort. Jesus passed his own in the midst of dryness. But was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Verse 16 now says, Let us therefore come how? Why boldly? Because the weaknesses, the feebleness of your mind and your body can make you feel unworthy to receive from God. You feel worthy to pray, but you are not feeling worthy of receiving the answer. That is why we doubt when we pray. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace that we may do what? Obtain. You obtain, you obtain what has been supplied. You obtain. That means mercy has been supplied. Mercy has been provided through the activity of your high priest. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy. Your high priest has gone through whatsoever you go through. He has been tempted. He knew what it means to be tempted. Now he put himself in your shoes. He said, Don't worry, don't come on your own account, come on my account. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy. So when you obtain mercy, what happened? You find grace to help in time of need. So grace is what actually answers your prayers. But that's not our discussion for today. So the first password to answer prayer is mercy. You obtain what? Mercy. Listen, church, your prayers are not answered only because you have a need and you prayed. I've said that to us over and over again. Because many of us would think, God should see that I'm suffering now. God should see that I have this problem. God, this shame is too much. Oh Lord, this problem is too much. Do something about it. No, no. God does not operate in the realm of emotion. He's God. So he's not going to respond to you. Because you have a need, and this is because he has already responded to you in Christ. It is now you that needs to understand how to respond to his response. Understand my grammar. You know, I've had this thing. Let's move God to do something. No, you are not moving him to do anything. He moved before you before you ever know you have a need. He has moved in Christ. God will not rest until He answered my prayer. Until He blessed me. No. That is just to make you feel good. It's not a statement that can be validated under the new covenant. It pushes the responsibility to God, even though God has finished the work for you. Is somebody getting something? So your prayers are answered. Listen, because of the compassion of your high priest, which he expressed by offering himself as a sacrificial lamp on your behalf. So the reason why you need a password of mercy is for you to have an understanding that before you have a need, God in his mercy had made provision for you in Christ. He knew the roots of all problems and he solved the problems for us from the root. Don't forget, church, that Satan existed in the garden with Adam and Eve. I hope you know that. Adam did not beat his wife, even though Satan was there. He was incapacitated, he couldn't do anything. So the only thing he could do was to separate them from God. Because that was the only thing that we allow him to bring into their lives death. Sin and death. Without that, he couldn't do anything to them. And that's why you need to understand certain things. Until sin came, death had no place. Even when sin came and death entered, it took sin, death, and Satan over 900 years to persuade Adam to know how to die. Adam died at 900 and something years. Okay, maybe we say from the point he fell. Don't know his age. But whatsoever number of years, it took them some time. And even the children that came after them, they still lived for hundreds of years. Because the life operating in their body could not be aborted just at a go. The life of God that was operating in Adam and Eve, and when he was giving birth, that life was still the residual of that life could not be terminated abruptly, suddenly. So the thing faded gradually. In spite of the presence of sin and death, it was when sin and death came in that sickness came, all manner of things we are seeing in the world today, all manner of evils came into the world. And then for us to be able to receive from God, the problem had to be dealt with from the root. Sin has to be dealt with. Because the only thing that separated man from God was sin. So without the sacrifice of your high priest, Jesus Christ, there can be no access to God. The sacrifice of Jesus, our high priest, was what made access to God possible. Because of the sacrifice of Jesus, we are not praying to God from a distance. We are praying to God. In God. I hope you understand that thing. Jesus said that there may be one. He said, They in me. That is we in Christ. And then he in God. So if Christ is in God, and you and I are in Christ, in who are we praying from? In God. So there is no more distance. There's no more. Let's break through the ceiling. Our prayer to ascend to heaven. No. It's Satan's deception to make us engage on things that will not produce any meaningful results. Unto him who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above what we ever ask or think, according to what? The power that works where? In you, in you. Your answers comes from you, from the inside of you. Because Christ is in you. The answer will flow from your spirit. That's why we are taught on the importance of having your heart transformed. Because when your heart is transformed, that is, Christ is formed in your heart, deep calls unto deep. It's easier for the power of Christ that exists in your spirit to flow through your heart into your body and make your answer a reality. Is it too spiritually technical for us to understand? Are we getting it? The union between you and Christ takes place in the spirit. So you and Christ are perfectly one in the spirit. The real you, your spirit, is in union with Christ. 1 Corinthians chapter 6, verse 17. He that is joined to the Lord is one spirit. Is one spirit, not two spirits, is one spirit with him. So if you are joined to the Lord and you are one spirit with the Lord, the spirit of the Lord dwells within your spirit. So everything available in him is available in your spirit. There is no distinction, no separation between the two of you. But the restriction you are experiencing, why you are not experiencing the power of God in your physical body, in your physical life, is because your heart is short. There is no flow from your spirit. Where the spirit of God dwells into your heart and into your body. The reason is because of the closeness of your heart, the dullness of the heart, the hardness of the heart, the emptiness of the heart, that is not seeing what God has done for you in Christ, that is not recognizing your position in Christ as it exists in the spirit, so that you can say, This is who I am, what I am experiencing through my heart is not God's will for me. So this is what God has done for me, this is who I am. I accept the reality of who God has made me in the spirit, then that life, your heart now becomes open for the life to flow into your heart. And whatsoever enters your heart has entered your physical life. That now influences your decisions, that now influences your actions, that now powers your word. When you speak, you speak from revelation, and the power of Christ in you back up that word to ensure its performance. Am I talking to somebody? So Jesus, our high priest, gave us access to God. And it is the access we have that makes it possible for us to receive from Him. Jesus, as our high priest, felt what we feel and acted on our behalf. Knowing that on our own we are helpless. We're going to look at what the scripture says. Because the sacrifice of Jesus as a lamb of God was carried out on God's prerogative of mercy. God was at the liberty to either leave us, to figure things out by ourselves, which was impossible. But in his mercy, he made provision for our reconciliation in Christ. And this is because he planned it from the foundation of the world, even before the fall of man. Hebrews chapter 2, verse 16 to 18. Hebrews chapter 2, verse 16 to 18. Then we quickly look at the ministry of the high priest under the old covenant, which happens to be a shadow of what Jesus came to do for us. For indeed, he does not give it to angels. We're going to read this scripture in another translation so that you can have a better understanding. For indeed he does not give aid to angels, but it does give aid to who? Who are the seed of Abraham? You. Verse 17. Therefore, in all things he had to be made like his brethren. That he might what? Be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God to make propitiation for the sins of the people. Verse 18. For in that he himself has suffered, being tempted, he's able to do what? To aid those who are. Are you seeing something? Okay, let's go back to verse 16. Let's read from New Living Translation. So that means when you are scrutinized, you might not have passed. But that is not going to stop the answer to your prayers. We also know that the Son did not come to help angels. He came to help who? The descendants of Abraham. Therefore, it was necessary for him, for who? For Jesus, our high priest, to be made in every respect like us, his brothers and sisters, so that he could be our merciful and faithful high priest before God. Then he could offer a sacrifice that will take away the sins of the people. Remember, I told us that sin was a problem. So he had to put on humanity like us. He had to become exactly like us so that he can solve the problem of sin for us. So that he could die as us and live with us forever. Now, since he himself has gone through suffering and what testing, he's able, can you see that he's able to help us when we are being tested? You see, his help helps you to overcome testing. But in case you are not sensitive to his help when you are being tested, and you seem to fail his help, is your test. Guarantees that your prayers will still be answered when you pray according to his promise. Do you understand that? Let's look at a few things. Under the old covenants, under the old covenant, the principle of acceptance is this the high priest must be accepted for the people of Israel to be accepted that year. For example, January 1st this year. Let me assume I am your high priest. I must first of all go to God to atone for my sins. When I am accepted, I became qualified to atone for your own. And because I have been accepted, your own will be a walkover. Okay, look at let's read some scripture. Leviticus chapter 16, verse 11 to 17. Leviticus. Leviticus chapter 16, verse 11 to 17. And Aaron shall bring the bull of the sin offering, which is for who? For himself. Aaron was a high priest. Then, and make atonement for who? For himself, and for who? For his house, and shall kill the bull as the sin offering which is for himself. Then he shall take a censor full of burning coats of fire from the altar before the Lord, with his hands full of sweet incense, beaten fine, and bring it inside the veil. The next verse. And he shall put the incense on the fire before the Lord, that the cloud of incense may cover what? The mercy seat that is on the testimony, lest he die. The mercy seat is on the testimony. Until you understand the place of God's mercy, your testimony can't stand. He shall take some of the blood of the bull and sprinkle it with his finger on the mercy seat. On the east side, and before the mercy seat, he shall sprinkle some of the blood with his finger seven times. Verse 15. Then he shall kill the goat of the sin offering, which is for the people. Bring his blood inside the veil, do with that blood as he did with the blood of the bull, and sprinkle it on the mercy seat. Now, now let me show you something. Go back to that. We just read verse 15 now. Go back to verse 11. Go back to verse 11. And Aaron shall bring the bull of the sin offering, which is for who? Bull of the sin offering. Bull. Verse 15. Verse 15. Then he shall kill the goat of the sin offering. Which is what? What he offered for himself was higher than what he offered for his people. I hope you understand that. Because it was not what will make the people to be accepted is not just them, it's their high priest. So the high priest needed something higher. So for him it was bull. For the people, it was goat. Then he shall kill the goat of the sin offering, which is for the people. Bring his blood inside the veil. Do with that blood as he did with the blood of the bull, which he did for himself. And sprinkle it where? On the mercy seat, and before the mercy seat, verse 16. So he shall make atonement for the holy place because of the uncleanness of the children of Israel and because of their transgressions for all their sins. And so he shall do for the tabernacle of meeting, which remains among them in the midst of their uncleanness. Verse 17. There shall be no man in the tabernacle of meeting when he goes in to make atonement in the holy place until he comes out that he may make atonement for himself, for his household, and for all the what? The assembly. Now, understand this that the acceptance of the high priest was the acceptance of the people of Israel. That's why, when the high priest will be going into the Holy of Holies, they tie a rope around his waist and die some bells at the hems of his garment. That as he was moving, the birds will be clinging, the little, little birds will be clinging to give them the assurance that he was still alive. Because until he came, until he will come out of the Holy of Holies, there will be no sustainity for the people of Israel. That the next one year will be well with them. Because until the high priest was accepted by God, the people will not be accepted, no matter how good they are on their own. Nothing was based on their goodness. Everything was based on the acceptance of their high priest. That's why when a high priest goes inside and his sacrifice, his offering was not accepted because it was not perfect, he will fall and die. And nobody will be able to go in. So they have to use, if they are not hearing the movements anymore, they have to use the rope to drag him out. That year will be bad for the people. A breastplate attached to the garments on the chest. That is to cover his heart area. And on that breastplate, something was done there. The names of the 12 tribes of Israel were engraved on the breastplate. Let's read Exodus 28, verse 27 to 30. Exodus chapter 28, verse 27 to 30. Listen, if you don't understand this part, you'll be frustrated. It doesn't matter what title you have. And it will look at if God still answers prayers. And two other rings of gold you shall make. And put them on the two shoulder straps. Underneath the effort towards his front. Right at the seam above the intricately woven band of the effort. Verse 28. They shall bring the what? The breastplate by means of his rings to the rings of the effort using a blue cord. So that it is above the intricately woven band of the effort. And so that the breastplate does not come loose. No matter the pressure. From the effort. Verse 29. So listen to that. Aaron shall bear the names of the sons of Israel on the breastplate of judgment over his heart. Breastplate of judgment. I will explain that to you very soon. Over his heart. When he goes into the holy place as a memorial before the Lord continually. Verse 30. And you shall put in the breastplate of judgment, and you shall put in the breastplate of judgment the urim and tummy. The urim and tummy was the means of hearing from God in those days. The people of Israel wanted to inquire from the Lord. They used the urim and tumin. So they shall put in the breastplate of judgment, the urim and the tumin, and they shall be over Aaron's heart when he goes in before the Lord. So Aaron shall bear the judgment of the children of Israel over his heart before the Lord continually. Now, what is the significance of this? Ephesians chapter 6, verse 14. Ephesians 6, 14. We come back to that place. Stand there for having gathered your waste with what? With truth, having put on the breastplate of what? Of righteousness. So the breastplates on the chest of Aaron, the high priest, signified righteousness. And the names of all the tribes of the children of Israel were engraved on that. There are two places where the names of the people of Israel were engraved on the garments. First, on the breastplate. Second, on the shoulders. Go and study, I'll give you that homework. Secondly, on the shoulders. Their names were written on the shoulders. Because the government shall be on the shoulders. So, number one, the breastplate of righteousness guarantees their righteousness before God, and having their names engraved on the shoulders guarantees the authority that comes from being righteous. You understand that. So these things were shadows of what Jesus came to do for us as believers. Let's go back to that Exodus, chapter 28. Go back to verse 28. Exodus 28. They shall bring the breastplate by means of his rings of the effort using a blue cord so that it is above the intricately woven band of the effort. And so that the breastplate does not come what? Come loose. So that their righteousness can be guaranteed. It won't fall off. The next verse. Verse 29. So Aaron shall bear the names of the sons of Israel on the breastplate of judgment. Judgment was determined on the basis of righteousness. So if their names were not engraved, that means righteousness was not imputed to them. But because number one, their high priest had to be accepted, and the breastplates signifies the righteousness of the high priest. So the names of all the sons of Israel, the twelve tribes of Israel, were engraved on that breastplate. That means it cannot be easily wiped out. And he carried it upon his heart. So when he goes into the holy place, let's read this verse 29 from NOT, please. In this way, Aaron will carry the names of the tribes of Israel on the sacred chest piece that is the breast place. Over his heart when he goes into the holy place. This will be a continual reminder that he represents who? The people when he comes before the Lord. He has been accepted by God. He had unfettered access into the presence of God. So every time he carries them, he carries the people before the Lord. So it was not about what the people did right or wrong outside. It is what their high priest has done right. Do you understand that? Verse 30. Verse 30. So insert the Urim and Tumim into the sacred chest piece. So they will be carried over Aaron's heart when he goes into the Lord's presence. Get something here. In this way, Aaron will always carry over his heart. The object used to determine the Lord's will for his people whenever he goes in before the Lord. Do you know what this is saying? That Tumim and Urim and Tumim was the means of revealing the will of God. So when it was inserted into the breastplate, which was a symbol of the righteousness of the high priest, the accepted high priest before the Lord, it means when God is going to judge the people of Israel throughout that year, he will judge them according to his will as revealed in the righteousness of the high priest. Oh, I pray that the Lord give you understanding. That means he has accepted the high priest. Because the high priest was in right standing with him. So that year, his judgment, what he determines for the people of Israel will not be based on the things they did right or wrong. They will be based on the righteousness of their because he showed his will through the righteousness. His will for the people of Israel. He showed it through the righteousness of their high priest. May God give us an understanding heart in the name of Jesus. Now let's now go back to Hebrews chapter 4, verse 15 and 16. To see how that shadow, the type and shadow that the um high priest under the old covenants represented, concerns us today and how it affects our prayer life. For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted. No, from verse 14 now. From verse 14. Seeing then that we have a great word, high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our words, confession. For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are yet without sin. Verse 16. Verse 16. Let us therefore come how weakly, fearfully, uncertainly. Let us come, let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace that we may obtain so do you obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Listen, George, many are times when you pray, and the enemy is reminding you of your weaknesses. You. I hope you know that his major weapon is a weapon of accusation. He reminds you of the feebleness of your mind, your thoughts that did not align with the word of God, your actions that contradicted the counsel of God, and is showing you the reason why you cannot receive that answer to your prayers. If you know that you have prayed on the basis of God's word, and you are not just praying out of your flesh or out of your feelings and emotions, you will tell the devil and his family members that look at it, there is something you always forget that my prayers are not going to be answered because I'm good. My prayers are answered because my high priest is good. You see, that is why the Bible says in all these things, no man can boast in his presence. They know why they are doing it is because of the pride of life. To make them show you that they are superior to you. That they are up there, you are low here. I hope you understand what I'm talking about. None of us have anything to boast outside the mercy of God. We do our boasting in him, in his mercy, in what he has done for us. Now, he knew that on our own, we'll be at the mercy of the enemy, we'll be at the mercy of the world. We will not be able to accomplish anything meaningful without him. So, in his mercy, he did not put the possibility of receiving from him on us. That is, on our goodness. Our receiving from him does not depend on our goodness. Does it mean that we should misbehave? No. That is why when we get to the next pastword, you see that God made every provision for us to be in alignment with him at all times, but in case. Somebody say in case. John chapter 2. 1 chapter 2, verses 1 and 2. 1 John chapter 2, verses 1 and 2. Quickly. My little children, these things I write to you that you may not what? That you may not what? Sin. And if anyone sins, if anyone sins, talking about to believers now, we have an advocate with the Father. Jesus Christ, the what? So Jesus Christ is your merciful and faithful. He said, in case you got it wrong, you have an advocate with the Father. Jesus Christ, he added, the righteous. So your God's dealing with you is not on the basis of your own human righteousness, but on the righteousness of Jesus that cannot be faulted. Look at the next verse, verse 2. And he himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for us only, but also for the whole world. That is why when you pray about anything which has been established in God's word as the will of God for you, hold fast your confession. Refuse to accept the lies of the devil that you are not qualified. Your high priest has qualified you for it. You are qualified for good health. Because your high priest made it happen. You are qualified for eternal life. Your high priest made it happen. You are qualified for longevity of life to fulfill your assignment on earth. Because that is what your high priest has accomplished for you, and the promises are fulfilled in Christ. You are qualified to manifest the goodness of God, the blessings of God for the advancement of his kingdom on earth, because your high priest has made it happen for you. Hear me, church. The time you waste on thinking about your problems, about doctors' reports, about what people gossip about you, about what they say about you, about your condition. Start thinking about God's word. Until the word of God is established in your heart, you keep depriving yourself of what God has made available for you in Christ. That's the truth. What do you spend your time thinking about? That thing will either help your prayer life or kill it. What do you meditate constantly about? Because what you think about consistently is what you hold on to. Every one of us is holding on to something. You are either holding on to what the devil says about you, because no human being doesn't have a confession they are holding on to. You are either holding on to what the economy of Nigeria is saying to you, or what Christ has done for you. You are either holding on to the gossip that goes around about you, and you have you are using all your life to defend yourself. Careless. Don't let the sacrifice of your high priest be in vain. When you pray over something and doubt started to come, check it well. There is a lie of the devil that you have believed that made you to begin to doubt the manifestation of your answers. Look back at your high priest and settle the doubt. Am I talking to somebody? You stand, you rebuke the devil and command his power and his influences to be broken over your life. And the devil comes to play on your mind and say, You of all people. With this kind, you hear life where you they live. You think you can be free? Hold on to your confession. Hold on. Fast to your listen, everything has no option than to return and align with your confession. Am I talking to somebody? Your confession must be the counsel of God that has been fulfilled in Christ. That's on the on the basis of that should be your prayers. That should be the foundation of everything you pray about. That is what makes your prayer life an exciting one. Are you aware, church, that there is no special posture that makes prayers to be answered? You can kneel down and your prayer is not answered. You can lie down and nothing happens. But do you know you can be in a bus and you are praying and there is a connection? Because it's about what you are holding on to that influences your decision to pray. Am I talking to somebody? Forget all those rituals, all those gymnastics. God is not concerned about it. If you have a revelation of hallowing the Lord, honoring him by kneeling before him, bowing before him. Please do it. But don't do it because I do it. Don't do it because you see, Pastor Duke, do it. Don't just do and yet there is substance of prayer, you forget it. Uh-uh. Be conscious of God's mercy over you. That God in his mercy has given you a righteous high priest whose righteousness has been imputed to you. So, on the basis of that, your prayer cannot be refused. The weaknesses of your mind and your body cannot stop the answers to your prayers. When you understand that your prayers are answered primarily because of the righteousness of your merciful high priest. Let me conclude with this. Hebrews chapter 9. Verse 11 to 15. Hebrews chapter 9, verse 11 to 15. But Christ came. I love this one. Christ came as what? As high priest of the good things to come. With the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands. That is not of this creation. Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with his own blood. He entered the most holy place once for all. It's not a year-by-year ritual. He did it once and said to live forever. He lives forever. And so, not with the blood of gods and calves, but with his own blood, he entered the most holy place. Once for all having obtained what? Cleanse your conscience from dead works. My conscience is cleansed. So no Satan can accuse me. Do you know most of the thoughts you think are not your own? They are well packaged, injected to make it look like your own. In fact, every wrong thought you think, sir, every wrong thought you think are from the crucified flesh. See, the devil suggesting to you through your flesh. Until you allow the flesh to die, it will keep. I hope you know that your flesh is no longer you. So any thought that came out from your flesh cannot be attributed to you. It's not yours. I am crucified with Christ. Nevertheless, I live. It is no longer I that lives. But Christ lives in me. If it's not the thought of Christ, it's not my thoughts. If this thought doesn't look like Christ, it doesn't look like what Christ would think. And it comes into my heart. Satan, you can't accuse me of it. Now your work carry your load. He can't stop the answers to my prayers. Is somebody getting something? I am crucified with Christ. Nevertheless, I live. It is no longer I that lives, but Christ lives in me. Christ lives in me. So will Christ give you the thought of immorality? Will he suggest to you to watch porn? Will he tell you to gossip somebody? Will he tell you to speak evil of somebody? No. So every time you see that thought, say, Satan, this is not me. It can be me. It will never be me. And if it is not me, I will not help you to express your will through me. And that's why every time the feebleness of your mind that is still sensitive to the human nature, the flesh, the feebleness of your body made you do certain things. Your high priest said, No, that aspect of you is crucified. It is me that lives in you. So my righteousness is your righteousness. Am I talking to somebody? So my righteousness is your righteousness. What came out of a dead person cannot be attributed to you. The flesh is dead. A dead flesh trying to. So we see the flesh. We reckon our flesh dead. That's what the Bible says. We reckon dead. So what came out of a dead? You see, sir. I know your dad has passed. If somebody called you now and said, we are going to arrest your father. The first thing is to wonder. Say, are you okay? I said, Do you know the first thing you ask, who are you? I hope you say you will now mention this is uh brownessing or this, I don't know. And he said, Yes, we know it's you. Your father took my father's wife last week. Do you know the first thing in your mind? Somebody is out of his mind. Abby, how can you say my father? We died since what year? 2012. Took your father's wife last week. Where? In the dream. So when the devil brings accusation of what your flesh is bringing forth, tell us you don't know what he's talking about. When you stop paying attention to what the devil is saying, you weary him out, you leave the dead, the flesh dead, when the flesh is dead, your struggles are over. All your struggles are product of your flesh. And as long as you keep recognizing. He was deaf and dumb. Deaf and dumb. He couldn't hear, he couldn't talk. But when you see him, he goes about like someone who minds his business. But people didn't know it's because he couldn't talk and he doesn't hear. So there was a misunderstanding somewhere, something happened, and the house opposite us, they accusing that he was the one who said something. So they said, somebody in our house reported a woman to the husband that he saw her with another man. So in the description, they now thought it was this guy. So as he was coming back from work, he was a welder. I was calling. The woman was just making noise. Calling him. You can't spoil my home. Useless man. Yeah, yeah, man. Call him a manner of name. The man just wave. He said, I'm talking to you. You are waving. Who is waving at you? I was standing outside. So he entered, brought out his note, wrote to me, said what happened to that woman. I said, You she said you told the husband that in the date another man. Do you know what he did? As he read it, they say, He now wrote with words voice. How? He doesn't even know the husband. And funny enough, the woman's husband was an illiterate, couldn't write or read. The man was all this uh was a bus driver. So the woman have made fool of herself. And I went. I said, no, it's not a jow. It can never be a jow. He said, why must I divide? I said, for your information, you know they hear, you know, they talk. I said, that's why. Now let me just tell and wait till you they talk. He waved at you. You are abusing him. He was waving at you. Because he didn't hear what you are saying. He was dead to the rest of us. Allow your flesh to remain dead. Treat it dead. When he speaks, say this is not the voice of me. Because this can't be the voice of Christ. I am crucified with Christ. Nevertheless, I live. It's no longer I that lives. I'm showing you how to overcome the activities of your flesh. So that your flesh won't keep suggesting things that make you doubt your prayers. Hello. Every doubt in your heart are products of the voices of your flesh that tells you that thing is not possible. Jesus that says, with man, this is impossible. But with God, all things are. Will he tell you that something is impossible? Anything that tells you that that thing cannot work is your dead flesh that is still trying to speak. Treat that voice as a voice of a dead person. Am I talking to somebody? Because anything dead has no part in this part of the world. Am I talking to somebody? Your life to Christ. Am I talking to somebody? And look at it, all he did this thing out of his mercy for you. He's compassionate. He knows your struggles. He knows my struggle. That he believes you with your struggle. You can never overcome certain things by yourself. You only pretend. Hello. Are you here this evening? Your prayers are meant to be answered 100%. When you pray according to God's will. So before you pray, check what the word of God says about the situation. Check what think about it, meditate on it, then pray with it. Then hold fast. Your confession. You have prayed, hold fast. Because what you have prayed with has been fulfilled in Christ. Hold fast. Until the right time when your answer shows up. The only thing that, in quotes, can delay your answer is timing. Certain things in your life are tied to divine timing. Moses wanted to liberate the people of Israel ahead of God's timing. He didn't know the will of God. He didn't see the will of God that they had to be there for 400 years. He tried to liberate them when they've been there. I think 370 or 380 years. The time was not right. When you prayed according to God's will, and it looks as if the answer is not showing, he's not saying no. He's just saying, hold on, hold on, hold fast to it for the time to be right. The dream of Joseph didn't come to pass until every other thing that will happen. Because there must be famine. Until time of famine was at hand, and before then, the king had to dream. So before the king dreamt, Joseph was being pushed around. Oh Lord, let my dream come to pass. It will come to pass. But the conditions are not yet right. Am I talking to somebody? So there are times when the conditions are not yet right, according to God's timing. It looks as if your prayers are delayed. But I want to assure you, when the answer will come, you forget all the waiting. You forget the pains of the waiting. Put yourself in Joseph's shoe. He sat as a prime minister. What's his name? Potiphar. Was subjected to him. What is we passed that one? Those way they control your life. Slap you bass goes today. Now you can't defeat them tomorrow. If you are a wise person, yeah, there's nothing to be angry about. Because God has lifted you above them. I don't know if somebody understands what I'm talking about. So the first password is mercy. God has shown you mercy through your high priest. So it's not about your weaknesses or your strengths, it's about the strength of your high priest. Your high priest has done everything right. So on the basis of that, your prayers are guaranteed to be answered. Let's rise up on our feet. Where was I then? Let me show you one thing. Yeah. How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal spirit of fire? Now verse 15. See verse 15. And for this reason, he, who is that he? Jesus, our high priest, is the mediator of the new covenant. By means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive what? The promise of the eternal inheritance. Now, he is the mediator. The word mediator was taken from a Greek word that means a go-between, a reconciler. And that is also taken from another Greek word, meta. That's what Facebook is using. Meta, M-E-T-A is a Greek word. It means association, accompaniments, and by extension, association. So when you pray, now you think say now only you pray. You they pray in association. Now me and Christ. And if the Father cannot refuse his voice, he won't refuse my voice. So when they saw, because they wanted to treat him as a pastor. But when they saw that this man was not acting as a pastor, he was acting as a businessman. But when you went to meet him, you didn't went to buy they didn't go to buy something from a pastor, they went to buy something from a businessman. So now acting as a businessman. So they went to the former president. That's why I said before the throne of grace. And find grace to help in time of need. I wanted to go back and pray for your health. In the name of Jesus, I reveal sickness because this body is the temple of God. Therefore, in the name of Jesus, diabetes disappear. High blood pressure, go. Malaria parasite, die. Whatsoever is the name of that sickness, command it to go. And then hold fast to your confession. Took your infirmities upon his own body, and by his strides you are hold fast to your confession. And God is able to make all grace abound towards me. That in all things having all sufficiency can abide, abound in every good works. If my focus is to abound in every good works, he makes all grace, all grace, all grace, grace to prosper financially, all grace, grace to enjoy my marital life, all grace. He makes all grace. So I pray from that viewpoint. In the name of Jesus, there is peace in my home. In the name of Jesus, I prosper financially. My business cannot fail. In the name of Jesus, I refuse stagnation in my workplace. I break through on every side. For all grace is available for me. I have obtained mercy. Oh, look up. Hebrews 2 14. Hebrews 2 14. He said, Jesus, through his death, inasmuch then as the children are partaking of flesh and blood, he himself, Christ Himself, my high priest himself, likewise shared in my flesh and blood. That through death he might destroy him who had, who had, who had, who had the power of death. That is the devil who had. What is that problem in your life? Deal with it now in prayer. Call the name of Jesus, in the name of Jesus, in the name of Jesus. For God has highly exalted Jesus, He has given him the name that is above every name. That in the name of Jesus, every knee must bow. What is it that is troubling you?

SPEAKER_03

SPEAKER_03

SPEAKER_04

Anything that doesn't look like Christ in your life, give them quick notice. Give them quick notice. Whatever you know is not the work of Christ. Whatever you know in your life, you can see some things around you, in your home, in your family, in your business that doesn't resemble Christ. That you know that this can't come from Christ. Command them to depart now in the name of Jesus.

SPEAKER_03

Now in the name of Jesus.

SPEAKER_04

Trying to tell you that your tomorrow will be hard, showing you the difficulty that lies ahead of you, the impossibilities that lie ahead of you. Command that voice to be silenced. This is not the voice of Christ.

SPEAKER_03

Every voice that is not of Christ speaking into my head, be silenced now, be silenced now, in the name of Jesus. Voice of the flesh, be silenced now.

SPEAKER_04

Somebody needs to pray, please. Every demonic supervisors around your life, every any demonic supervisor around your family that are meant to supervise evil to bring them into manifestation. Command their activities to stop now. Command their works to cease now, every demonic supervisor. I cast you out of my environment. I cast you out of my environment in the name of Jesus.

SPEAKER_03

I command your works to cease. I command your works to cease. Out of my environment, out in the name of Jesus.

SPEAKER_04

Command them to stop now. In my home, no shame.

SPEAKER_03

In my spouse's life, no shame. In my children's life, no shame. We forbid any form of shame in the name of Jesus. You demonic supervisors, out of my environment. I must end well. I will end well. By the power and the presence of God, I will end well. I must end well.

SPEAKER_04

That voice is a liar.

SPEAKER_03

You will not live your old age in sickness. You will not live your old age in affliction. You will not live your old age in sickness. You are experiencing sound health by the power of the living God. My children will end well. Every evil ending that the enemy has designed for us, we frustrate it, we reject it in the name of Jesus.

SPEAKER_01

I can say tomorrow.

SPEAKER_04

Whatsoever has threatened or is threatening your existence, whatsoever is threatening the existence of your husband, whatsoever is threatening the existence of your wife, whatsoever is threatening the existence of your child or your children, whatever is threatening the existence of your career and your business, in the name of Jesus Christ the Lord, as you agree with your three loudest amen, we reduce them to nothing now in the name of Jesus.
