Quiana Jackson Season 4 Episode 2

Have you ever felt pulled in multiple directions, wondering if your diverse interests and passions could possibly be part of God's plan? Perhaps you've tried to squeeze yourself into a conventional box only to feel empty and unfulfilled. If so, this soul-stirring conversation with multi-hyphenate creative Neisha Allen will liberate you to embrace your "uncommon calling."

Neisha, an author, filmmaker, interior designer, and ministry leader, shares her transformative journey from following others' expectations to pursuing God's unique purpose for her life. With raw honesty, she reveals a season of emptiness and depression that came from ignoring the Holy Spirit's guidance—and the extraordinary joy and fulfillment she discovered when she finally surrendered to God's direction.

You'll hear how God strategically placed mentors in Nisha's life from childhood who nurtured her creative gifts and heart for service, leaving "breadcrumbs" that would eventually reveal her purpose. From Ed Drake, who gave her first experience in television production, to divine connections in Atlanta's film industry, God orchestrated each relationship to prepare her for a multifaceted ministry that includes feeding 500 homeless individuals weekly.

The conversation takes a powerful turn when Neisha references Pastor Dharius Daniels' teaching on "uncommon calling," a liberating concept that frees believers from constraint and encourages them to embrace all the gifts God has given them. She offers a compelling reminder through the biblical example of Lot's wife—looking back prevents you from moving forward into your purpose.

Neisha also introduces her book "21 Day Jumpstart Business Blueprint Spiritual Roadmap," which guides entrepreneurs through building both practical business foundations and spiritual disciplines. This resource exemplifies her integrated approach to purpose—combining practical knowledge with spiritual wisdom.

Ready to trust the Holy Spirit's guidance rather than human opinions? Join us for this transformative episode that will inspire you to walk boldly in your purpose—however uncommon it may be—and experience the freedom and joy that comes from authentic alignment with God's plan for your life.

Speaker 2:

She give hope to the hopeless hey everyone, this is kiana, your creator and the host of q for christ, and I want to get on here. First, I want to say thank you to everyone that has liked you, share, you, commented, whatever you done. I'm so excited and I'm so happy, and I promise you I don't take this for granted. Okay, because I take this very seriously. Okay, this is something that I get to do. Right, it's not a punishment, it is a privilege. Okay, so I'm so, I'm so excited to be able to be a vessel for Christ. So, anyways, anyways, I want to make sure that you are sharing, make sure you are liking, make sure you are commenting, go ahead on and share this live stream with someone.

Speaker 2:

Okay, because tonight we are up here with another success on purpose. Okay, and this is where we are talking about walking boldly in your purpose, gaining clarity and taking the initial steps towards your success. Ok, and when I talk about success, I'm not talking about success by money, cars, fame, anything like that. We are talking about the success by the backing of God. Ok, we know that you have to make sure like it says in Habakkuk 2 and 2, you have to write the vision, make it plain, ok, so that is what we are doing here. That is who we are talking to. We are talking to individuals that have unintentionally applied this acronym to their life, and I am so excited because tonight I have the honor and the privilege to be able to have one of my squad members on here. So I'm super excited to have Neasia on here. How are you? Let me get you in first. Let me get you in, okay.

Speaker 1:

Oh, so hey, hey, hey, Jay.

Speaker 2:

How you doing, Jay.

Speaker 3:

I'm so excited to have you up here. I'm doing wonderful. It's such an honor to be here. Thank you so much.

Speaker 2:

You are so welcome. I tell you she is. Look, I told her I said I'm gonna let you introduce yourself because she do a lot of a lot of things. I mean she is a filmmaker, she is an author, she is an interior designer, she is some of everything. So if you would do me a favor, just kind of introduce yourself to the audience so they can know who you is, because I know I murder your first name every time I say it. That's okay, I know I do, I'm sorry.

Speaker 3:

Well, hi everybody. I am Nisha Allen. I am an author, I am a filmmaker, I am a creative. I have a book out called 21 Day Jumpstart Business Blueprint Roadmap. As well as I'm an interior designer. I love designing and decorating. I'm just an overall creative. Me and my husband also have a song called Walking in the Mega, so I like to do music, I like to dance. I just love to be in creative spaces and it's just an honor to be here. This is my very first podcast as a guest, so thank you so much. And it's just I know it's just orchestrated by God because of the platform that you have and your success on purpose. That's what I'm living in right now. So I know it was God who orchestrated this and allowed me to be on your platform. I thank you so much.

Speaker 2:

Well, you know, let me tell you you are so welcome. Well, you know, let me tell you you are so welcome. And you know, when she got in my squad y'all and I don't think y'all understand when I say squad we have it's like a women's ministry at our church and she came running. When I say came running, and you know I had something to do, and she said I got you. And when I say she got me, I felt the love so much and I just I wanted to to say thank you for stepping in and and doing that for me. You know that that is so amazing. I know, you know, um, if Pastor Shamika was here, she'd probably say the same thing. So I, I'm, I'm super excited that God has connected us Right and and it's not for just one time, ok, this is a, this is a connection that I know that is going to be a connection for years and years and years to come. So I'm super excited that that you are here and just to know that you got a song to know that you got a song girl hold

Speaker 2:

up. Oh my god, that is so cool, you know. And one thing that she do and I know we'll get we'll get to talking about this a little bit later one thing that she do is she go and feed the homeless. Now I'm gonna make sure that we get that, that website up where you can be able to go and donate, like literally. I'm so excited if you could talk about that just a little bit before we go into it, about the, the homeless ministry that you do on Sunday. I think that is pretty good.

Speaker 3:

so, um, I have just a heart to serve and just to pour into people. That's just who I am. Um, and so all of my life, even as a young adult, I would always go to homeless shelters and I would pick up the homeless and take them out to eat. I would buy their children clothes, like I've always done that. And so when transitioning over here to Georgia, me and my husband we had went out to eat one day in downtown and they were like your wait time is going to be like an hour and a half. So we were trying to find something to do. So we literally went around the block and ran into the Atlanta Rescue Mission. I said, oh, this is God. We don't know our way around. I said this is God. He's going to miss you right here, because at this time in my life I'm only doing things that are purposeful, that God placed inside of me, that he wants me to do to carry out his plan while I'm here in the earth realm. Okay, so. So then I started to make a connection with them and I started to go there and give them toiletries and sew into them because of what they were doing, because it aligned with who I am.

Speaker 3:

So one day fast forward, maybe about two, three months later. So one day fast forward, maybe about two, three months later, me and my husband, we were downtown Atlanta and we were supposed to get off on the next stop, but the Holy Spirit told me to get off on this particular stop. I did not know why my husband was like this is not our stop. I was like I know, but I feel like we should get off here. So we got off and we seen some individuals just doing, just dancing and singing Christian music. So we was like, oh my God, they're doing a concert for the homeless. Oh, my goodness.

Speaker 3:

And then me and my husband. We had a Christian rap song called Walking in the Mega. We were like, can we do our song too? And so they allowed us to perform. They did. They did not know us, had never met us before, and then later on I learned that it was an actual service for the homeless. So we came in on praise and worship. They have a full circle. Once we found that out, I said, oh God, I know you talking to me. This is right where I need to be. So once we found that out, we've been locked in.

Speaker 3:

I have a nonprofit organization called the Love Foundation, and so it's about pouring love into different situations and people, because that's who Christ is. Christ is love, and so when people see us as Christians, they should see the love of Christ. So, fast forward, we joined in with the ministry. We were there every Sunday. It's a full service. I'm talking about praise and worship, a full sermon, altar call, and then afterwards we provide food, toiletries, sleeping bags, shoes, resources, whatever that they need, and people show up. We do about 500 people a week. That's man. That might've been a lie, but I just wanted people to get the. I wanted people to see the whole picture of how God moved in that situation to get me aligned with my purpose, that he had been deposited in me.

Speaker 2:

Wow, that, no, that was perfect. It was because you know, that's, that's like I was mentioning to you earlier. That's one of my passions and I'm like, I'm excited, look, because now that I ain't having to go to no office that much, I should have some time.

Speaker 3:

Okay, good, we would love to have you, the ministry that we partnered with is actually a Korean pastor. He's Korean and it's a few of his Korean family members, friends, but we're the only African Americans, the only Americans down there that have joined with him to help support this ministry. So when he's away, he have me, I have to give the word, I have to preach, and it's just a blessing just to pour into people and just to love on them, cause some of them, that's all that they missing is just love.

Speaker 2:

Just love. Oh, my God, look, I love that, love that. So I'm so, I'm so excited and and um about that, and I, I just look, I'm telling you we don't have to, we don't have to really, really get in on that. So, um, what I'm gonna do now is I'm gonna say a quick prayer before we go a little further, and then, um, we want to know how you been cute for christ. We want to know how you've been cute for Christ. We want to know how Jay I'm going to call you Jay, because I don't know why I want to add me as your- name.

Speaker 3:

You can do me as your name Nisha, nisha, right?

Speaker 2:

So, anyways, I'm going to say a quick prayer and then we'll go further. Okay, all right. So, dear Heavenly Father, god, I come to you. First. I want to say thank you. Thank you, god, for carving this time out where we can be able to just be able to love on each other and to be able to talk about how you have cued us up, god, how you have gotten us to where we are.

Speaker 2:

God, we thank you now, god, for touching Ne'Jah's life and touching Jay's life. God, we thank you now for her family and her children and her husband. God, we just thank you now for even going with her hands, god. Whatever her hands touch, we ask you to touch it, to go, god. God, we know that you are in the midst of us, god, and we thank you now for your presence, god, we thank you for anybody that is going to be watching, god, god. So why? We want them to be blessed and to hear something, god, that will help them be able to get together and get their life cubed.

Speaker 2:

God, and we thank you now for the love that you have displayed. God, we just thank you now for even hiding us behind the cross, allowing your word to go forth, god, and so we thank you for everything that you're doing in our life, god. We count it all, joy. Anything that you have given us, we count it all, joy, god. And so anything that you have given us, we count it all, joy, god. And so we thank you, we love you, god, we honor you. It's in jesus name that I pray. Amen, amen, amen.

Speaker 2:

So I'm so excited, um, about about having you on here and I, you know, like I said, it's one of the things as that we, um, you know here, when I talk about killing for christ is one of those things that we, you know hear. When I talk about keeping for Christ is one of those things that I know that you have been called right, I can see it all over you. So, when you was a kid and I know you shared just a little bit about when you was a young adult but when you were a kid, did you even think that you would be even in this kind of calling what God has called you to do, or were there anything else that you wanted to do as a kid?

Speaker 3:

So that's the thing. During this phase of my life, I had to go back and unpack and find myself. And so when I went back and looked at myself as a kid, god was already queuing me up to be here. As a kid, there was this organization called Youth for Christ. I grew up in a small town called Muskegon in Michigan. It was this youth for Christ, and then a branch off of that was called Campus Life and there was this angel. His name was Ed Drake. He would come.

Speaker 3:

We lived in the hood. There wasn't no other races, it was all us. It was all urban, all African-American hood neighborhood. He would come to our school during lunchtime and walk around and recruit us to come to his program for young adults, teenagers, junior high, and it was centered around Christ, and so he would. He would pick us up in a van, in a white van. Sometimes the children in the neighborhood used to be like who are you? Are you the po-po? What you doing in our neighborhood? Who you spying on? But when I look back on my life, god was. He was preparing me and training me because, ed Drake, he poured so much into me, no-transcript. And so that was one thing. The other thing that he did was he also was a producer and he produced his own television show and he did music. He had his own band. He has music out.

Speaker 3:

And so he allowed me to be a speaker on his team talk show and it was called Straight Talk. He had a whole production studio in the lower level of his home and so he stayed in my life from, I believe, like the eighth grade, all the way up until I graduated. He gave me my very first job, my very first paid summer job I still have my check stub today my very first paying job as a leader, and he just poured so much in me. I still talk to him to this day. He's retired, he lives on the West Coast and he was just like my angel, like God knew who to put in my life, to give me that foundation and to pour into me, because he knew that there was going to be fruit at some time in my future.

Speaker 3:

So I thank God for Ed Drake. He didn't have any children. He used to come no matter what. He never gave up on the kids in the hood. I talked to him about this maybe about a year ago and he said God just gave me the passion and the desire to be there for these children in the hood. He was like I'm a white man, what do I know about the hood and the kids in the hood, but he was like God gave that to me and he never had any children. We were like his children.

Speaker 2:

That's amazing. I love that. I love that so much because you know, like I heard Bishop TDJ say that God will always leave crumbs up to your purpose, like you'll call him, and you had a whole you know. You didn't even have to, like, go back and realize that, because you know. It's one of those things where God say you know what, I'm going to take you here and I'm going to show you, and I know some stuff we do in one season. We don't know why. You know what I'm saying and we'd be like, why am I doing this? But now you see, you know, and the thing about it, god will always take you at that point and he will unite you with people that will help you get there and, like you did with you know, like you say, mr Angel, right, and so who were some key people that you know in your life that helped you along this journey?

Speaker 3:

Besides Ed, I wouldn't say anyone else. None of my friends really had a passion for homeless people or people who were less fortunate. It was just usually me and it was just something that was just in me. I was 18, 19 years old and it was just a fire in me and a desire to do that and a desire to do that, and so really it was just God. It was just something that was placed in me, just as somebody who knew how to just naturally know how to play the piano, but no one taught them it was just in them Right, right, right, and, and, and that's, and that's a.

Speaker 2:

You know that's a good thing, because you know, sometimes we do have to go forward first by ourselves before you know, sometimes we do have to go forward first by ourselves before you know anybody else.

Speaker 2:

Because you know one thing that we, you know, have to do, and I and I talk about this with um I've said this before that sometimes we have to go, like Harriet Tubman had to go first, and then come back and pick people up, because you know we want to take everybody with us and everybody ain't supposed to go with us. At that certain time, you know, and, and now it's like, okay, I know who to go back and get, I know who I can go back and say, okay, you can come and help me. Now you know what I'm saying, because that is that is very important when you on a certain journey that God has you on and you know we be wanting to take the wrong people, you know. So, um, were there any education that equipped you for this journey that you know, even with the filmmaking, um, were there any education that you just kind of like, stopped and say you know what I need to stop and learn how to do this.

Speaker 3:

So I could do it better. It basically was kind of like a it was like a God led thing I did. I didn't have a plan, god just kind of orchestrated my steps and I just followed. I did take a writer's class. I went to a writer's retreat given by Greenlit. Greenlit ATL. Shout out to Ernestine Morrison and Cass Egers.

Speaker 3:

They put on a writer's retreat here in Georgia and it was about maybe about 15 women. And that's where I met one of my key angels here, who was a big supporter, who kind of like introduced me to Atlanta and the film industry. Her name is Melina Cunningham Anderson. She is yes, I love her. She was like my ed in this leg of the race, right, wow.

Speaker 3:

Because I knew that I had a desire to do certain things, because I knew I was a creative. I knew what I wanted to do as a kid. But I'm here, I don't know anybody, I don't know what to do. So I said, well, let me just start out with how do you write a script. So I met her, and I met her at the writer's retreat and I had just got introduced to Final Draft, which is the software that you use to write scripts, and so she was familiar with it. She was in Georgia because people were from all over the country at the writer's retreat and I asked her would she help me? And she said sure. So we met for coffee and I thought it was going to be about 15 minutes. We sat there and talked for six hours and we've been locked in ever since. That is my buddy, that's my partner Like. She is such a gem. She's so down to earth, she's so humble, she's so loving and she is a emmy award-winning uh retired news broadcaster.

Speaker 3:

She's been in all kinds of films, she's lifetime like, she's like mega, and I'm just little old me, just trying to find my way and she said come on, girl, I've been you, come roll with me and she's just been a blessing since I've been down here.

Speaker 2:

So she's my egg on this leg of my race that's that you know the thing about it god will put you around the right people, right um, to get you where you, where you need to be, because you know we, we have to know that, um, sometimes education look different from just going to school. You know, I I've I've often told people and I think I said this earlier today you know, being a podcaster, I, I didn't go to a school for it, I had to go to university. I had to go to YouTube university. I had to go and make sure I paid attention to other people. I had to go and do the lead work myself because I knew where God was calling me and I needed to get more of an understanding of it, and so that was the main thing about education. So talk about the clarity of your calling when you got it and at that moment when you were like, okay, I understand my purpose. Now, god pastor, pastor Darius Daniels.

Speaker 3:

The most that ever did it Right. He gave a message about walking in your uncommon calling If that didn't set me free, because sometimes you have things it's like. Sometimes you have things inside of you and you know. Sometimes you feel like you're supposed to be in certain boxes and certain lanes. You don't want to seem so scattered, but I know all of the things that God put inside of me and it's uncommon.

Speaker 3:

It's uncommon for a person to have a passion to feed the homeless one day, be on set giving direction and producing the next day, the next day decorating a home and then the next day picking up her daughter, taking all of her friends to the movies and then going to her basketball games. Then the next day she's going to church with her family and just celebrating with her squad members, and then the next day she's writing a book and giving people more clarity, more direction, more insight into their business and building a foundation for them. And then she's on skits. I'm on skits. I wanted to be an actress as a kid. I'm on skits. I'm on skits. I wanted to be an actress as a kid. I'm on skits. I didn't even ask to be on a skit, god just ushered me in and now I'm on skits. Now I'm then another day I'm acting on set like I'm doing so much and I know it's uncommon. But pastor darius dan said walk in, your uncommon calling Uncommon calling.

Speaker 2:

And now, the more that you say that it's like because I know I do a lot and I often tell people it trickles down from our pastor because he does a whole lot and, like you say, when he said that uncommon calling and I'm in uncommon calling Academy, right, and so I'm excited just to even get there and, like you said, it frees you from trying to put yourself into a certain box and say, oh, I'm only going to do this or I'm only going to do that, and like he teaches us, we are this and that right, so we can do this and that, you know, and we don't have to pick, you know, because God want God, you know sometimes, you know God want us to work on one thing this season and maybe the next season he want us to work on the other thing.

Speaker 2:

You know, this season and maybe the next season he want us to work on the other thing, you know, and and that, right there, like you said, it does freeze, you know, and I and when you said it, you know, I've, like I said I meant Uncommon Calling Academy, but when you said it it just was like you all right you know what I'm saying?

Speaker 3:

and and just to look at how much fruit he has by being obedient and walking in his uncommon calling.

Speaker 2:

Right, right, because you know his, his calling is uncommon, for real. You know what I'm saying and, like you said, so much fruit and you know, and it's just, it's just amazing. It's amazing and one thing that I can say it helps us stay excited about what we're doing and it keeps us going. So one of the things that, when any challenges that come your way, what helps you stay motivated, besides knowing that we're in our, you know what helped keep you motivated.

Speaker 3:

Um, just I believe, um, I do a daily devotion called Jesus calling, and it keeps my eye on Christ Right, um, and so it allows me to stay focused. Um, I, I put on my worship and I'm just open. I was in a season where I was just so empty and so unhappy and so depressed and nobody around me knew it and I was like nobody cares, nobody see how heavy this is, nobody. So I never want to be back there again.

Speaker 3:

So I'm only, I'm only walking into my purpose and my calling. Nothing else moves me. Somebody could say, somebody could come to me and be like oh well, we want. We want you to, let's say, make laps for a half a million dollars a year. I would say that's not what god want me to do. Right? I would decline it. Right, because even though I would have a decent income, I know I will be empty again and I never want to be empty again. I'm so much full of life. The word says where, um? What does it say about? Where christ is, you're free. Right where the spirit of the lord is yes, you're free, there is joy, there is freedom. I have so much joy and freedom. Just it gives me so much life to walk in my purpose and calling every day. It's nothing like it.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, yeah, and and that you know, and that's you know, that right there says it all you know. Because one thing we have to know is that we, that right there fuels us to keep going. It fuels us, it gives us that excitement, you know, and the and the thing about it, one thing that I know is that being excited it brings on determination to keep going. And so I want you to just talk about the mindset that you have where you say I'm determined for this, I'm not giving up, because I know a lot of people is. You know they can get excited but they lose their excitement, but excitement brings on determination, and so I really just want you to tell the audience how important it is to stay determined for your mission.

Speaker 3:

I would say you want to stay determined because, oh, excuse me, there's nothing better than getting to the finish line. Right, if you quit, you can never make it Right. When you even think about the children of of israel coming out of egypt right, they're coming out of egypt. They were faced with with uh battles. They kept going, even when they came to the red sea. That's when your faith got a kick in and you say god, I know what your promises are. Yes, you got to stand on your Jeremiah 29 and 11. Right, and you got to keep it moving and don't let nothing stop you.

Speaker 3:

I know, you know Kanye is going through a lot of stuff in the media and stuff, but I just want to use him as like an example. Or even, I watched his documentary and even when people didn't believe in him, god deposited something in him where he kept going. He got into a car accident. They wanted to drop him from the label and he did not. He let nothing stop him because he knew what he was supposed to do. So you got to know when you got to stand on, as they would say, stand on business. Right, and you got to keep going and don't let nothing stop you Right, you can't let a hospital bed stop him, a car accident stop him. And then the obedience to keep going.

Speaker 3:

Tabitha Brown she was one of my champions when I was going through my transition to get into my purpose and when I watched and heard her story and her obedience and her faith, just to follow whatever God was telling her when she didn't even understand. So if God is telling you to do something, even if you don't understand it, be obedient to that thing. She don't know why she's standing in front of a camera cooking. She's like I ain't no cook, I'm an actress. He like keep cooking. And she kept cooking. Sick, depressed, defeated, and she kept cooking.

Speaker 2:

Girl, you give me crock. I'm getting crock only because, you know, sometimes God always tell me get back to the podcast, get back to the podcast, and that is one of the things that you know. God often tell me get back to the podcast.

Speaker 3:

Well, that's where you need to be. Is that the podcast? Right? The podcast Cause? You don't know what God gonna open up by your obedience. Being at the podcast, she went from 10 viewers she was getting like 10 to 15 viewers and then, next thing you know, suddenly in the midnight hour, everything changed, right?

Speaker 2:

everything everything just like that man, I love that, that you know, and those those type of people when you can look at it and and you know and know that, um, where they came from. Yeah, right, yes, you know, and they know that they can make it, yeah they made it yes you're gonna.

Speaker 2:

I did um a video today. I was like you have to be consistent, you know, and you have to keep going and not allow what you see to hinder what you believe. Yes, know that God is going to take you somewhere. You know that because he first off. You know his track record right. You have seen where he brought you from, yes, seen where he brought you from, yes, and we have to make sure that we are not allowing that right there to you know, to hinder us right, and you know so I'm.

Speaker 2:

I'm so excited that you know how you have been queued up. Look, you were queued up before you knew you was queued up. Girl, I'm queued up, let's go. You know, I'm so excited. So now the one thing that I want you to just kind of leave with the audience is just some kind of quick advice that you would give someone when they are in their season, where they don't understand the season that they're in, and just give them a little advice in that they're in and just give them a little advice.

Speaker 3:

I would say trust the Holy Spirit, right, because he's there to lead us and guide us. Listen to the Holy Spirit Right and allow that to lead you not man, not your mama, not your daddy, not your friends. The Holy Spirit, yes, because I ended up empty by listening to other people, right, letting other people dictate what I should be doing in this season, where I should work, what I should do, and I ended up empty. But if I would have stopped and listened to the Holy Spirit, I would have already been on track.

Speaker 2:

Right.

Speaker 3:

But God makes no mistakes, because I've quantum leaked, as Pastor Darius would say, and I am on track to whatever God has me to do in his kingdom. I'm on track I God has me to do in his kingdom.

Speaker 3:

I'm on track, I haven't missed a beat. I've had crash courses and everything. I came when we moved down here. My husband was like so what's the plan? I said, honey, I don't have a plan. He's like, well, what are we going to do? I said I don't know. God just said go to Atlanta. He just said go. And now I can. It's one thing. When you read the word, okay, yeah, you read the word, but when you got to live that thing, when you got to live that thing, it's totally different.

Speaker 2:

And look, I think you know Pastor Darius was talking about that last night. You know what I'm saying? It's a lot of people that can read the Bible, but when you learn how to apply it or have to apply it to your life, it is totally different. It looks different, it feels different.

Speaker 3:

It is different. Yeah, I know, we have to know that, you know living the Bible is where we are now Follow the Holy Spirit and think about and always remember Lot's wife.

Speaker 2:

Woo, you about to make me throw something at you, girl Lot's wife.

Speaker 3:

Oh my God, jesus, you can't look back, you got to keep going, you got to keep going, wow, you got to keep going.

Speaker 2:

Wow, that's so amazing. That is so amazing. That is so amazing. Oh, my goodness, I'm so excited that you were here.

Speaker 3:

Thank, you for having me. This is a blessing.

Speaker 2:

I am so thankful that you are here now. I want you to not only leave where people can locate you. I want you to talk about your book because you know, all this time I didn't know she was writing a book. You know, yeah, I got my book, but I ain't know you was writing a book. Like I was like Ooh, let's Arthur's. I love Arthur's because you know we spend so much time on writing and you know we want to make sure we get the word out there. So we are. You know I want you to talk about your book. Let's talk about this book that you got up here y'all. Look, this is tight, I like that. So just tell the people all about the book and where they can get it from, and then make sure you leave. Let everybody know where they can reach you at.

Speaker 1:

Okay and then you bring us out okay.

Speaker 3:

So this book is one of those, um, obedient moments that I had. God gave me this book in 2019 and I sat on it. I didn't do anything right. Um, and god kept sending people into my life and they kept mentioning a book and I'm like, okay, god, I know, this is you speaking to me. I'm going to be obedient. So then I didn't know how to write a book. I knew what I wanted to say, but I didn't know how to format it. I didn't know how to do anything. So I reached out to a couple of people and they wanted like thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars and I was like, well, I don't want to do the book that bad, I'm just doing it out of obedience. And so I just started kind of figuring it out on my own. It was challenging. I had to redo the format like three, four times, because I didn't even know where to start. First I started on Canva, then I went to Google Google pages or what have you.

Speaker 3:

Did it there. Then I found out the format wasn't right. When I had to upload it it had to be in the right format for the size of the book. It was all kinds of stuff. Then I had problems with the ISBN. I had to work through all of this on my own and keep pressing forward out of obedience, because I could have just gave up, right, right. And so God gave me this book in 2019 and it's called 21 Day Jumpstart Business Blueprint Spiritual Roadmap, and what it does is it walks you through a 21 day journey of something that you can do every day for 21 days to jumpstart your business. It walks you through not only natural things, but it allows you to have a spiritual foundation. So when you're going through the 21-day period, you're also building practices that will allow your business to flourish once you get up and running.

Speaker 3:

In the book, some of the things that we do every day is a scripture and something to stand on. So you're reading your scripture, you're praying every day. Some days it's just praying, worshiping and fasting. Some days it's pouring into other people's business and praying for them, and once you get through your 21 days, you're like okay, I got to keep on doing this in my business. I got to make sure I'm setting time aside where I can be still and listen to God and I'm not just running around doing this, doing that, doing that, just being just too busy to be still Right, because sometimes we got to be still so that God can speak to us.

Speaker 3:

You know, when you have something new even like a new baby, a new business or a new something you constantly trying to get it up and running, doing this, doing that, but in all of that, god wants you to be still, so that you can get direction, you can get revelation and you can stay connected to him, right? So the book was birthed out of obedience. You can find it on Amazon, you can connect with me on Facebook and Instagram at Nisha Allen, and you can also look up my information on our website, nishaallencom as well. So I'm excited. It was just an obedience thing. I have really no expectation. It's just like Tabitha when she was cooking God just told me to do it.

Speaker 2:

That is so awesome. I'm so excited that you did it. Obedience is better than sacrifice right.

Speaker 3:

Obedience yes.

Speaker 2:

And I'm so excited because, being a self-published, I know I trust me that right there, you know it is. It is not for the the curious, for the serious, when you trying to, when you try to be obedient to God, especially writing a book yeah um, doing it self-published, because, trust me, I know. So I'm so excited that you was here. If you want to go ahead on and pray us out and I'll come back out in the show and then we'll go further, okay, well thank you so much again for having me.

Speaker 3:

I'll try to bump into you and get you a book so you can let me know what you think.
