The Queued4Christ Show with Dr. Tam Foreman: "Called, Equipped, And Confident: A Faith-Driven Path To Purpose"
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
What if the thing you’re clinging to is the very thing blocking your peace? That question sits at the center of our conversation with Dr. Tam Foreman—lifelong educator turned empowerment coach—who walked away from a secure, 17-year career and discovered a deeper, steadier calm on the other side of obedience. We unpack how to hear God clearly in a noisy world, why “holy agitation” often signals it’s time to move, and what it looks like to say yes every day when the path ahead feels foggy.
We get practical about the inner work that sustains purpose. Dr. Tam shares how counseling and Elevate Academy helped her identify emotional snipers like people-pleasing and hypersensitivity, and why emotional intelligence is essential for calling clarity. We talk about investing in learning—degrees, coaching, or even YouTube university—and the real cost of staying stuck. You’ll hear honest stories about fear, finances, and the pressure to perform for the algorithm, and how to resist the highlight-reel trap by anchoring your identity in Christ.
Community becomes the multiplier. From mentors like Dr. Darius Daniels and RC Blakes to small groups that actually challenge and pray, we dig into building an inner circle that guards your mind and fuels your momentum. And Dr. Tam offers a tender word to her younger self: every tear waters a future field of abundance—peace, aligned people, and God-ordered opportunities. If you’re a middle-aged Christian professional woman sensing there’s more, this episode gives you language, tools, and courage to step forward.

Welcome And New Segment
SPEAKER_00It's a new day with the new way. Do what you say. Praise the father for options to fly. Keyana, my girl, she give hope to the hopeless.
Introducing Dr. Tam Foreman
SPEAKER_01Hey, hey, hey, everyone. It's Keanu, your creator, and the host of Q for Christ. And I want to say thank you to everyone that has liked, you shared, you commented. Whatever you've done, I'm so excited and I'm so happy. And I tell you that it is a privilege to be a vessel for Christ, okay? And it's not a punishment, right? So whoever thinks that it's a punishment, it's not. Please get that out of your mind, okay? So, anyways, I thank you all again for just tuning in tonight. As we are, as you know, as you know, that God has given me this new segment where I'm gonna be here on Wednesday night. Well, not only on Mondays with the with the books of the Bible, but I'm gonna be here on Wednesday nights at nine and Friday nights at nine. And so I'm so super excited to be up here with this because I tell you, God is just so amazing, okay? And so uh if you have been keeping up with me for years, you know I have done a segment called Success on Purpose, right? Meaning that we have to take a becker two or two and write the vision and make it plain. And we have to make sure that we are um doing what God has called us to do, right? We are we are walking boldly in our purpose, we are gaining clarity and taking initiative steps towards the success, right? Because we have that backing by Christ. And so tonight, I'm so incredibly honored to have my guests on tonight, none other than the Dr. Tam Foreman. How are you doing? I'm so excited to have you guys. What's up, sis?
SPEAKER_03How are you doing? How you doing? I'm wonderful. I am wonderful. Excited to be here tonight.
SPEAKER_01Man, I'm telling you, like um, a lot of people, you know, when I tell you all Fridays are usually my busy days, right? I I probably done ran around this little busy city. Blue thing living. Let me tell y'all the blue thing living. Uh ran around this city and doing things and everything. So um, but I'm I'm incredibly honored to have you on tonight. So, anyways, anyways, I want everybody to know who Dr. Tam is because she has some of everything. When I tell you, you know, when I see her and all her reels and everything that she's talking about, I know that she is being successful on purpose because she has that backing from Christ. So let's tell everybody who Dr. Tam is. Oh, how much time do we have?
SPEAKER_03Take your time. How much time do we have? I am I am Dr. Tam, a former educator. Well, actually, I will always be an educator. Um, always an educator, always a learner. Um, and this season, I am an empowerment coach. I am your sister and your empowerment coach. So for my middle-aged Christian professional women who are in that place right now in life and you feel like you're stuck, you know it's more out there for you, I'm your sister to help you to get it together. Come on. To help you to get unstuck. So that's what that's that's my mission right now. That's what I'm doing.
SPEAKER_01I love that. And look, I want to tell everybody a little bit how we met because of course we both had the same mentor. Absolutely. Pastor, Pastor Darius Daniels, and we both have just, you know, connected and we connected another time with um through Tiffany Santana. Shout out to Coach Tiffany Santana, where we were we were on, I don't know how long we was on that night. Like we was all like we was on just some people fell asleep and woke up and then came back. I said, Lord, we've been on here for hours and hours. And it was so you telling people business, they done fell asleep. But I say who, but I know it was it was so it was such an incredible night where we were able to, you know, do a Zoom uh calling where we were able to get to know each other. And I'm so excited to have you on here and for you to say yes to you know to to being on here, not only to me, but saying yes to God, and that is the main thing to helping God's people, and that's that's one of the things that we want today. Like, like she said, she wants to help you get us stuck.
SPEAKER_03Absolutely. Look, we got work to do, let's move. We are here, we are here for a purpose. There is something that we are supposed to be doing, right? Let's get it done. Yeah, look, I had to find out, I had to find out. It took me a little while to get there, but what now look now? I'm here, I'm like, let's go. Let's move on. I need all my sisters to come along with me because we got we got stuff to do. Let's go, let's get it done.
Prayer And The C.U.E.D. Framework
SPEAKER_01Come on, I love, I love that. I I ain't even lying because you know, we have to, and and as you know, I talk about being cued. We have to, we have to be, you know, be cued in at every moment. It's that framework. So that is that is one thing that I talk about. So, anyways, before we move further, I'm gonna say a quick prayer. Okay, and then and then we'll move further in the interview because like like you know, what we're here for is because she's been cued, right? She's been cued, she's been cued for Christ, she's been cued for greatness, she has been cued up, and um, and if if you haven't kept up with it, the acronym is quick and uniting, educated, understanding, excited, and determined. So we want to know how she got cued up, okay? So, anyways, I'm gonna say a quick prayer and then we will move forward, okay? So, dear Heavenly Father, God, I say thank you for this time. God, I say thank you for carving out this time for us. God, you knew this time before we knew it, God, and I say thank you. God, I say thank you now for your daughter that is here on tonight, Dr. Tam. God, we thank you now for blessing her. We thank you now for blessing her ministry, God. Anything that she's doing, God, we ask you to touch it now, God, from from the beginning to the end, God. We thank you now for what you're doing in her life. God, we just thank you now for your people that are here, God. We ask you, God, to hide us behind the cross, allow someone to be able to hear something that'll spark them up, God. God, we want to get them unstuck, God. God, we want to get them cued, God. And so we are here as your vessels, God. We want to be able to be used, God, to be able to share our story with someone that they can be able to be to get up and be lifted, God. And so we thank you now for this time. We thank you now for your blessings, God. We thank you now, God, for just hiding us behind the cross. And so we just love you, we honor you, God. We cherish you. It's in Jesus' name that I pray. Amen. Amen. Amen. Lord have mercy. Let's go. Let's look, we just finna have us a good old time because like I said, you know, you know, um, being around like-minded people is just amazing in itself. So I'm so super excited that you, you know, you have um joined me on here tonight. And so one of the things that I often talk about is being quickened and um, you know, having that calling. But I want to talk about before that, I want to just ask you when you were a child, did you ever see yourself becoming in the education space or even being um, you know, uh a doctor at this point when you before you were a child, did you even even think about that? Not before, but before you did it, but when you were a child. Yeah, I did.
Early Calling And Education Roots
SPEAKER_03I knew that I was going to be what it's at that time calling it a teacher, but I knew that I was going to be a teacher when I was in Head Start. Wow. I hadn't even started kindergarten yet, and I knew that I was gonna be a teacher. And the funny story is we in class one day, and I'm coming from a very small town in East Texas. Okay, a little one room building, not building, but little classroom, right? And I remember wanting to read a book. It was nap time. Teacher would always read to us as we were laying down our little mats and stuff. I wanted to read the book, and I asked her if I could read, she said no. I got up, walked out of the classroom, walked out the front door of the school, and I walked down the street to my grandmother's house because she would not let she wouldn't let me read. I wanted to teach the class, and so yeah. My journey into education started quite early.
SPEAKER_01I mean, look, you want to take over class then. It was like, uh-uh, hold on.
SPEAKER_03I had that takeover spirit early.
SPEAKER_01Wow, that is so that is so amazing. So, you know, like when you when you decided, you know, when you got that calling when God said, Okay, I want you to use it for this, because sometimes when we go through different seasons, we don't know where God is taking us, right? So when you got that calling and God said, No, I want you here, I need you in this space where you can be this coach to your women. How you know what when did you get that calling or that awakening when you when you got it?
SPEAKER_03October of 2021. Wow. Yeah. And uh I went reluctantly because when I got the call, when I heard it clear as day, heard it clear as day, had written a letter of resignation, was about to like, I'm done, I'm out of here, I'm doing, you know, and then I got scared. I started thinking because like I was in education. I had a good job, I had benefits, you know, I'm single. Um, so for just me, like I am my own little household family, right? I made good. I was doing really well, right? And I was like, uh yeah, I'm gonna pretend like I didn't hear that. And um, it was very uncomfortable for me. And uh at the end of that year, I left. I did leave. Did not renew my contract, but when I left, I was still afraid. Like, let me go, let me cling on to something that I know is reliable. So I went from one district to another district and I got the job, but when I tell you we were merely weeks into the brand new year and I was miserable, it was a toxic environment. He made that stay very uncomfortable for me. So at the end of that year, I still hadn't learned my lesson. I signed another contract. Wow. And we were just maybe two weeks into it and I became physically sick. Wow. I did not want to go to that place. It was toxic. And I'm like, I'm not supposed to be here. I go I go like I'm like, hey, I need to I need to leave. And they was like, You underact. If you leave, we're gonna mention your certificate. And I said, Do what you gotta do. Come on, they they must I know your God. I I I did. You know, was there real fear there? Yes, it was, but I said, do what you have to do, and I left and I did not return. Right. And so for those next uh couple of days, a few a couple, it was two weeks actually. For those next two weeks, I started using time that I had on the books, basically. And then September of uh 23, they finally released me from my contract, no issues or my certification or anything. So I stepped out and I there was there was no income. And I'm like, wait, what? Wait, what is what was was what is this? What's going on? But I didn't realize it at that time. It didn't hit me immediately because I was still running on autopilot. I was taking care of mom who was in dealing with a health crisis at that time, and I was finishing my doctoral program. And so I was on autopilot, just like going, going, going. And so when all of that had kind of settled, the dust kind of settled, and then I was like, what just happened? What is this? But when I tell you the peace that I now have in my life, I've never experienced anything like this before. Even during that time when there wasn't that consistent monthly recurring income that had already been there for 17 years. I left a 17-year career. Right? And so even with that not being there, I slept good at night. Didn't know how bills were gonna be paid and and stuff like that. Um but I'm good. And made sure that I'm good.
SPEAKER_01Girl, you can be crock over here because I'm telling you, yeah, you know, like you know how Pete always said that God would give you that Holy Ghost agitation where you know where we be sitting there trying to make it right because I understand no it's time for you to go. And I can never forget when it was time for me to leave to quit my job. And I quit, I was working in the emergency room at the time, and I'm like, like, you know, God showed it to me a dream, and then I got then the dream came true, and then and I was just like you. I was like, I'm just gonna, you know, go PR and I'm just gonna put my name on the chat every now and then or whatever. And finally God said, Okay, if you don't do it, I'm not gonna open up the windows of heaven. And once I woke up, I I said, okay, let me do it, and I got confirmation or whatever. And it was like, okay, let me go, you know, because he will not even even when we try to minimize it, right? Yes, yes, we try to say, okay, like you said, I'm just gonna, I'm gonna go a little bit or I'm gonna go to a different district, you know. Maybe he wanted me to just go to a different district and not but God, that's that's how we how it is with your calling, and like I often say, the calling is not comfortable. Oh, oh, by no means, it is not comfortable. A lot of people think that it is gonna look like this whole little like, oh, okay, why no, it it is not if you go and look in the Bible, you look at Moses, you know, you see you see what Joseph had to go through, you go and see what David had to go through, even Paul had to go through that quickening and that awakening is not as as pretty as we often would want it to be. Right, you know, and it's sometimes it is afraid, you be afraid and scared, but like PD often say, do it afraid and scared.
SPEAKER_03And I I I I think that a lot of that is a um it's a misinterpretation that it is easy, right? Um because like on social media, I mean that's that's our work, that's our world now. Um on social media, it it is made to look as though it is easy. You got a 60 or 90 second, you know, highlight reel showing all these great and wonderful things that are going on. And yes, these are things that are going on, but it is so much more to that. You got a live, right? The picture is so much greater than that, right? They're not showing how you you're trying to juggle all these different things or doing that transfer or how you trying to move from this account to this account to take care of this because you got this over here that's coming in, like you juggling all these different things. Um, you're juggling uh changes in your finances, changes in your relationships, you're make changes in your body, changes in your spirit, like emotionally. It is so much that is going on that we don't see, right?
SPEAKER_01Right, right. And that is that, man. I'm telling you, and if you watching and you think, you know, you looking at the social media reels and thinking that that's real, it is not real.
SPEAKER_02Okay, it's not real.
SPEAKER_01That reel is not real, you know, because it takes more to that, you know, and like I often say, when you get that calling, now you got to learn what to do. And and that's where the you come in, where you you have you have to unite with people that are like-minded, the people that are doing the same thing that God has called you to do, and those right there. So is are there anybody that you can just say, oh, they helped me along the way, or these are the people that I got around that helped strengthen me, especially, especially after you got your calling.
Hearing The Call And Leaving Career
SPEAKER_03Absolutely. Absolutely. And you know what? Once I finally got out of all of that, I had started counseling. That was one of the first places where I started. Because when I'm out, because when you when you do get away from when you get to that isolated place where it's just, it's just you and him. And now you're starting to face things, you're starting to deal with some things. I needed someone to help me to deal with some things. But during that wait, I was carrying a whole lot of weight. I needed somebody to help me to sift through that weight, to realize what I need to put down and what I should actually be holding on to. Right. And so my first person was a Christian counselor here in the in the Metroplex. I'm in the Dallas area. Found her and she she rocked with me, you know, off and on for four plus years, as a matter of fact. And so still touch base with her every now and then from time to time, just to do my my little check-in, make sure everything is still good, you know. But I would definitely say um her to be her to begin with, uh, who actually encouraged me to uh rekindle my relationship with God and to really get to know him. Right. And so when we talk about like-minded people, it is very important that you are hooking up with the right people that's going to help you to get to the right places. Right. We're actually supposed to be. And so I would definitely say, I would definitely say her on this journey, as you mentioned before, definitely being under the the um the counsel, the mentorship of of PD, uh Dr. Darius Daniels. Um I always say that I went to um RCB University as far as RC Blakes himself, you know, uh consumed a lot of his YouTube content. Uh, my sister, my mentors, another spiritual leader is uh Latoya OK, who I also follow on YouTube. A lot of these people I was able to meet, um, connected originally with them online, but I've actually been able to meet them in person. And even now um working with um one of one of my coaches, uh working with uh Coach Kelly J, you know, the coach's coach, right? So, you know, being a part of her community, but all of those individuals who have helped me to be get to this place where I am right now, it's that like-mindedness. Yes. And those people have I've been introduced to other people through those avenues, been introduced to other people. That's how you and I connected, right? Right. Um involved in uh change small groups, yeah. And now being involved in uh a squad, you know, a change squad, you know. Shout out to squad 55 and the DFW, right? So awesome.
SPEAKER_01Look, you know, I'm squad 32 now.
SPEAKER_03These different communities that I'm uh that I am a part of, but we're about business, standing on business, and knowing that our business is what he has actually called us to do in this season, and realizing for me, I had to get to that place to realize that my story, everything that I had gone through, my story mattered. And that my story was, it wasn't just solely for me, it was for me to share with other women to help them to overcome some of the challenges and obstacles in their lives. And I would not have been able to be here with you even right now and sharing this and sharing my story every day on social media, um, had it not been for me being a part, being influenced by these people.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah. And it's so important, and you know, and I and one of the things that I try to tell my children and and even people that I that I meet is in order for you to go to the right destiny or the the right um destination that you're trying to get in, you want to make sure you're riding in the right car with the right people, right? Because if you're trying to go somewhere else and they're not going there, you trust me, you're gonna end up in the wrong place. Absolutely. Every time, you know, and and one of the things that you know we have to make sure is that when we are, you know, getting around like-minded people, that we're also getting the education that is needed. So, were there any education that you had to say, you know what, let me do this? Because I know I know you got in in different different types of coaching programs and stuff like that.
SPEAKER_02Yes.
SPEAKER_01Were there any other programs that you just say, you know what, I need to do this so I can know exactly how to coach these women?
SPEAKER_03I would definitely say, and I was sharing this one with you earlier, being a part of um uh PD's world, um, being being being it in that part right there, um one of the most valuable um courses that I've taken to this day was Elevate Academy. And that is actually one of PD's uh uh academies. And so that I say that that is the most important because in that academy, you know, we learn about the um the emotional snipers. Right. And those things that we can't necessarily see within ourselves that are going on, but they're there, these things that are hindering us, and you oftentimes wonder, well, why am I dealing with this? Or why did this, I'm still dealing with this kind of person, or I'm still doing this, and I don't always want to do this, you know. You uh but we learned what it means to be um a people pleaser. What does that look like? How do you overcome being a people pleaser? Right uh learn how you learn about being uh hypersensitive, you know. You learn all these different things, and you just like, well, you know what? Oh, that's me. Okay, that's me too. Right, right. Wow, that's me. So definitely Elevate Academy when it comes to me developing and strengthening my emotional intelligence, learning who I am, uh how I operate, um, has given me a greater sense of how to to manage not only my emotions, but to manage my relationships and how I show up in the world and deal with and serve God's people.
SPEAKER_01Yes, yes, that that is so good. And and and like I say, you know, I I preach education, education, education, education, because that's what helped prepare us for where we're going. If you don't know where you're going and you hadn't educated yourself, you're not gonna be clear on your your calling. You know, it's gonna be hard for you to to say, you know, what I God told me to write a book, but I don't I don't know how to do it. You know what I'm saying? And but you're not taking the proper steps or saying, you know what, let me let me find somebody that know how to do it. Let me, you know, let me get the education on how to write a book, let me get the education or get in these programs. And I tell people, you know, you know, a lot of people be like, oh, it costs so much, but you want to be able to, if you can't invest in yourself, it'll be hard for you to even get other people to uh invest in you or their attention, you know. And so we have to make sure that we are getting the education, you know. Um, and and like you say, you know, one of the biggest programs was the elevate. I didn't get it, get a chance to get in the elevate. Well, get there. I know it was. Look, well, get there if you can, get there if you can. Okay, let it let him open up again.
Social Media Myths Vs. Real Process
SPEAKER_03But you know what? That's I mean, the whole the whole point about you know, investing in ourselves and educating, formal education, that's great, you know. Right. I've been to college, you know, I have the degrees. Uh, that's that's great. But even aside from that, you know, the investment um in in my coaching, the investment in, you know, working on my emotional intelligence and and improving those skills, right? That has, I can't add a price to that. Right. I was speaking with the I was speaking with the client just the other day, and and she she brought that up, you know, because I know a lot of people like, well, that's too much money, you know. I don't got there right now. And I was like, she was talking about the cost of it. And I ask her, but what will it cost you if you don't? Right. If you don't make that investment in you, if you don't seek that help, because one thing that we know under our mentor, you can't be your best self by yourself. Okay. So if you don't do that, then what's gonna happen? Like, what is that going to look like for you? Right. You're gonna you're gonna lose out on that that freedom and flexibility that you say that you want. You're gonna lose out on you know being able to do the things that you say you want to do, the legacy that you want to live for your family, the generational wealth that you would like to uh to create, helping your community. So if you don't make that investment, that one-time investment, because because literally that's what it is. You pay that one time, but then how does that one-time investment just think about the reason on that? Right. Come on now.
SPEAKER_01I'm telling you, I'm telling you, yeah, yeah. One-time investment, you know, it's important, yeah. And and like you said, that you know, what is it gonna cost you if you don't? You know what I'm saying? It's gonna cost you a lot, a lot more, and then you know, and one thing I try to tell people is YouTube university, honey. Come on, you better get on YouTube, you better utilize YouTube, even if you don't have it at the moment, get on there and find it's plenty of people that are giving out enough information for you to get started, and then you you get motivated and say, you know what? I want to spend money on myself, I want to get get get this, you know. And so one thing that you know, we know that getting education often leads to that understanding of everything, really, you know. I and I often tell the story about when I was working in the emergency room and um we, you know, I I of course doing CPR, I knew, of course, we did took the classes, but when I first started having to actually do it hands-on, I would be nervous because it would be hard to know all the different things. And um, we did a mock, um, we did a mock um code blue, where we just had to figure out what we do, and it helped me because I understood what I need to do at that moment. I understood my assignment, I understood where I was supposed to be when you know, if if it's two ticks over here, I'm over here. I understood it a lot more. So, you know, just tell the people how how gaining that clarity changed you when you when you were able to get that education and everything, how it changed you to help you move forward in coaching.
SPEAKER_03Number one, it gave me um definitely a definite boost in my confidence, yeah, and and and my self-esteem. Um, but if you were to ask me if, and even with that, just being able to like we're on social media right now, like this is live, people watching us, right? Like even the confidence to be able to basically stand in front of the world and to tell your story and to share and to be able to help others. So the confidence to be able to do that, um, and knowing that um that you are deserving, knowing that you are worthy, knowing that your story matters, um, and that you have a right to tell your story, you know, not only just a right, but it's a part of your calling. Come on to share your story, right? And if if you were to ask me if I have a full understanding of all of that, no, I don't. I don't have a full understanding. I only know I have to say yes every day. Yes to the calling, you know, a couple of years ago when I first started, this journey of transformation, um it has not, it's not a one, that's not a one-time thing. Right. I have to say yes every single day. It's almost like walking in a really foggy field and uh you look in that, you really can't see your way, right? And if you're walking through, you look down, and all of a sudden you see a paver right there, right? So then you take a step. You don't see you look around, you're looking for another one, but you don't see it. But when it's time, another one will appear, and then you take that step. It's day by day, but you have to say yes. And when you say that yes, that's when that next step opens up for you. And then you take that step. So that fear, it's like that underlying fear and that that scary feeling because you really don't know there's that uncertainty about it. Right. Though there is that uncertainty, the good news is that in the end, you know you win. Right. Because we're his. So in the end, it may be scary in that moment, but if we start with every day remembering I'm a winner, I'm a conqueror, I'm an overcomer. If you start every day, if you start every chapter, if that's the way you start, those are that's your beginning every time, then it's gonna make that next step onto that next pavement, even though you can't see it just yet, it's gonna make it a little bit easier. But you have to say yes.
Finding Counselors, Mentors, Community
SPEAKER_01I love that because it's dying daily. Yes. Yes, we have to know that you know, uh we have to die daily in order to walk with Christ. It is a it's a daily sacrifice thing that we have to do, and so saying yes, like you say, is you know, is foggy when you you know, and then you see it, you get that, and you say, Oh, okay, I'm gonna step right there. All right. And then then it's like, oh, the next I you know, my thing is, you know, we have to, like you said, take it day by day, and we have to make sure that we are doing what God has called us to do in that step. So we're in that step, we're doing what God has called us to do. We done gave our yes, we understand this. Now we the next level is okay, I gotta understand this again, right? It's like I gotta understand this again. I need to start all over. And I love that, you know, what you said is like giving a yes every day, you know.
SPEAKER_03Oh, that's like powerful. I truly believe that we don't see the full, we won't see the full picture until the end, right? Because we are only able to connect the dots when we look backwards and you start connecting all of the dots. It's very hard to connect the dots moving forward because you can't see them. You can't see them. But when you look back, it's just like the way you and I connected. And this is over over a year ago now, I believe. Yeah, it's been over a year ago. Yeah, here is a dot, a dot that was created back then, but now we're making that connection to that dot that was created over a year ago, right? So I don't think we'll have the full picture until until until then.
SPEAKER_01I know we won't. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03He wants us he dying daily, he wants us dying daily, he wants us continue to lean on him every single day, he wants us saying yes to his will every single day. And so it's a matter of making sure that our thoughts and our actions and our decisions are aligned with his will, right? And as long as we say that yes, then we get that next, we can see the next little paver, and so you then you take that you take that next step. But yeah, we we might be connecting some dots, but we haven't connected all of them yet together.
SPEAKER_01I can guarantee we ain't connected all of them. I I can almost guarantee, you know, and that and that, like I said, that is so that is so good where we can be able to, like you said, um connect the dots and stuff like that. And once you start connecting the dots, that is when you get more excited about where you're going, right? You get so excited and and stuff like that. So talk about how you stay motivated um and be excited because now you know a little bit more about where God is taking you now. Now has the fog gone and you can step on that that that paper.
SPEAKER_03One way, uh well, a couple ways. I'm gonna say the very first way is definitely um spending time with him. Yes. Spending time staying connected with him every single day. That's staying in the word. That's my that's my prayer life, that's a part of my daily routine. Uh, just making sure that time is carved out because I have to, if that connection is not there, like he's my he's my light, like that's my anger, right? So if that is not there, then that means I'm just out here floating about and just doing all kinds of things, right? Um doing all kinds of things, but the right things, but the things that he wants me to do. So I stay determined and motivated by staying in the word, leaning on his promises, wow, um, and making sure that I stay around communities like this, yes, that I'm into communities like this. It's the people for me. It's the people, it's the people.
SPEAKER_01You remember when um did you I think you were here for um Daniel's deal when we can't when we had the um the thing here in Atlanta, and we had the um Tiffany Santana had got the the banquet together. Where are you sitting? Yes, yes, yes. And I was matter of fact, we were sitting at the same table together. Same table, yep, yep. And and I and I think it was you that, or it might have been your the other lady that was saying. I she said, I didn't even know people existed like this. Right? She was like, I didn't even know people existed. Like me. Like she, it was she's so amazing when you can find those and and you get so excited about you know that work or whatever. And like I often tell people. So, you know, the excitement, that is that is one thing that brings on that determination that we stay committed, committed to the mission. Because if you don't have that excitement and that drive, it's gonna be hard to stay committed. So, what are one of the ways that you maintain your determination when you face different obstacles that just kind of be like, okay, wait a minute, this is what I'm supposed to be doing for real, God? Like, what are the things? What are something that keep you motivated and determined for what God has called you to do?
SPEAKER_03Well, first of all, I feel like I ask that question almost every day. Lord, are you sure? Yeah, I know I asked this question yes, I I know I asked yesterday, but are you sure? But yeah, I think that for me, it is um again, it's that relationship with him, right? Being able to be um, I know he knows me, but being able to be uh open and honest, uh very vulnerable in that moment, and saying that, hey, this is really scary to me, or I'm not feeling like this is where I'm supposed to be. Like, are you sure? Like, show me a sign, or or I like like I just I need like help me, help me. Like literally, Holy Spirit, I need you to help me through this, help me to figure this out, help me like something doesn't feel right, you know. So definitely staying in connection so you can have that type of communication, but also falling back on having those, those multiples rata eyes. I can pick the phone up or I can send a text, right? Like, hey, what you doing? You know, um and not the worlds of what you doing. Right. Not that what you doing. Right. I'm like the what you doing because I need you, what you doing because like yeah, I I know the word, um, but I just need I need a connection right now. Uh can you touch and agree with me? Can you pray with me uh about this? Um so that's why it's so important also to have like the right people, right? And knowing that these are people who can see you um when you don't even see yourself. That inner circle, that part. Oh my god. Who knows you, uh they want the best for you, right? Um and you being that it's not just you know, it's a it's a reciprocal. So you being that for them as well. That's what creates the that's what creates the community, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Absolutely and and I had one lady, um well, a couple, well, I think it was it's been a couple weeks now, but um, Dr. Nancy Um Lewis, she said you have to have a faith tried. And I was like, Oh, I love it. You know, you got to have someone that when you are talking crazy and they say, uh-uh, no, no, what we will, you know, and they they learn how to change your your tone or change your talk, you know, you know, because sometimes we we human. We human absolutely how Jesus Jesus was in the Garden of Gethsemane. He was he was human at that moment. He but he but like he said, it's only so many people that was able to see that, and that is that is what the inner circle is because everybody don't belong in your inner circle.
SPEAKER_03I I think I need to say that again should not have access, should not have access, yeah.
SPEAKER_01And and so we have to make sure that we are when when because sometimes you know, determination. See, if you got the wrong person that's around you and you trying to stay determined, they can say, Oh, well, you might as well quit right now. You know what I'm saying? Especially if they're looking at the obstacle and you looking at the obstacle, but you got faith. Some people don't faith is not as strong as yours, right? And then they'll tell you, oh, well, you might as well, might as well quit, you know.
Emotional Intelligence And Elevate Academy
SPEAKER_03And I've heard and I've heard that. Yeah, and yeah, and I've heard that, and I think that all of us who are who are really uh cued in, right? And we own this, we doing this, we're doing this for him, uh, that we've had those, we've had those naysayers uh in our lives. Like, why are you doing that? Or like, I wouldn't be wasting my time doing that, but it's not your time, it's my time. Like I'm doing what I supposed to be doing, right? Right. Um so so yeah, those people are those people are are definitely there, but those are the people who because if you see me, if you know me, then you know this is real, right? Right. And so then if you talking like that, you talking that other kind of talk to me, then you don't know me. Then you don't you don't see me. And that's okay. Please know that's okay. That just means that you're not my person. Right. So that being said, that on this walk, doing this, you're gonna lose some people. Oh, of course. And it won't always be those people to walk away from you. You might have to walk away from some of them. Ooh, that is so good. But it comes down to the people. So that determination, that push, that drive, uh, that extra boost of energy in those times when you like, man, I am tired. When you need that, then you need the right people who can speak that word into you. You can you need the right people who can see you for who you truly are and who understand your walk and what it is that you're doing. Those are the people you need, right? Right, exactly. Our greatest resource, one of our greatest resources, it's people, right?
SPEAKER_01Right. Yeah, they greatest resource, and they can also be the greatest tear down.
SPEAKER_03Absolutely. You gotta you gotta know.
SPEAKER_01I'm telling you, I'm telling you, that that is so good. Now, one thing that I want to ask you is you if you had an opportunity to sleeve something to or tell your 18-year-old self what you know, uh give them advice. What would that advice be if you had to talk to your 18-year-old self?
SPEAKER_03So I'm talking to her. Yeah, okay. I would tell her that every tear that you cried or that you're crying right now, it's only watering the field of abundance that you will one day walk in. I love that. Every tear, every drop, it is only to fertilize that field of abundance that you will one day walk in. It's a purpose. He has caught every single one of them. Yes. There was a time in my life where I didn't even know that part. Right. I didn't even know that. Um, I actually had somebody tell me one time that my tears did not matter.
SPEAKER_02Wow.
SPEAKER_03And when I read that scripture and learned that he's caught every single one of them, it just took a different meaning. Right. It just shifted everything. And now knowing that every single thing that I have gone through, every tear that I have cried has gotten me up to this point. Um and I am now in that field. I am I am walking in that field and the abundance to know that the abundance, it's not always the um the material, right that we sometimes focus on, right? Um you lose thought, you lose sight of what is important and you start focusing on things of the world. That's not the type of abundance I'm talking about. I'm talking about the abundance, the peace that I have now, the relationship with God that I have now, the people that I have. Because you know, when you're younger, it's all about how many friends you got, this big huge circle of friends. And even now, it's how many followers do you have? It's all about the number, but I'm talking about the quality, the quality of people that's a part of the abundance that I'm now walking in. The people that I'm connected to, the doors and the opportunities that have opened up just because I am now walking in this field. So every single tear is okay to cry. Just know that one day those tears are fertilizing that field that you would one day walk in, and it will be a field of abundance. Wow. So I would tell her that it's okay to cry.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I love that. Ooh, I'm getting cheers over here because that is so that you know, a lot of people don't think that it's okay to cry. And, you know, you know, being that we know that God gave us those tears to to clear us, you know, to know that we can we can do it, you know. He gave us those tears to get away the frustration, to get away, you know, all of that, to take it, you know, and a lot of people think that okay, crying is not doing anything, but it is. We know that it's gonna lead to that abundance, like you said, you know, and I I'm just I'm I'm like, well, I think that even as women, um, you know, we hear that, you know, a man not supposed to cry.
SPEAKER_03That used to be the thing, right? Right. But I also think about the women, um, women that I've come across in in my years on along my journey who've shared stories of stepping into a bathroom to cry. Wow. Or like stepping away to shed your tears because you were afraid to of what someone may say. There was a um this feeling of shame to come along with the fears. Um, so tears were hidden out of those fears of what other people may say or what they may think. Silent here. Right. But just to know that, like you said, every single one of them, they have a meaning. Yes, you're doing it for something. There's this clean, it's part of a cleansing process, right? So, yeah, um, definitely let her know that her tears do matter.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I love that. I love that. Well, I'm so I'm excited. I want you to let everyone know how they can reach you and um and make sure that you, you know, give them all your your website and stuff where they can be able to come and reach you. Because I'm telling you, this right here, she is coaching people for being stuck. I think, I think we as women need that because sometimes we get stuck on the now, right? And we're not looking at the future because it's so much going on, especially as a as a woman. Yes. Um, you know, I know me, I'm, you know, I got I got four children. And I'm and now, you know, even though a little bit older, I still but just tell a mama, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, the multiple cats that are worn at all times. Absolutely.
Daily Yes, Faith In The Fog

But most importantly, uh within this workshop, we're also talking about what does it mean to be aligned with God's will for our life. And so that's coming up. She's deserving, she is worthy, Father God. I pray that she is in the room tonight and that she hears these words, oh Heavenly Father. I pray that you would touch her and remind her that she is love, Father God. Lord, we thank you again for you being who you are. As we continue to walk away, I pray for each and everyone who is listening, oh Heavenly Father, that you would continue to watch over us through the night, continue to keep your righteous right hand upon us and bless us according to your will.
