In 1987 Emily Pearl Kingsley published a poem titled “Welcome to Holland”. In this written work Ms. Kingsley uses the metaphor of a trip to Holland to describe the feeling of discovering that your child has a disability. In this episode I finds myself in “Holland”. I “learn the language”, follow the “guide books”, and begin mapping out the path to a quality life for Anthony.
