The Marriage

Passage(s): Ephesians 5:17-33 

The fundamental posture, not only for marriage but for every Christian relationship, is self-submission. The meaning of marriage is to be a living picture of the self-giving, all-redeeming love of Jesus Christ for His people. The love which finds it’s consummation not in any earthly union, but in the marriage which begins at the end and never comes to an end.
