The King’s Speech: Shake and Shine
We are called to preserve goodness and shine with God’s truth and love. When we live distinctively; full of grace, compassion, and visible goodness, we point others to the glory of God. Grace accepts us as we are, but it never leaves us that way. It transforms us to be more like Jesus and to make the world more like heaven. Message based on Matthew 5:13-16
Quotes:
Tim Keller: The church that embraces its distinctiveness in the world may expect both animosity and acceptance.
David Martyn Lloyd-Jones: The glory of the gospel is when the church is absolutely different from the world, she invariably attracts it.
Duane Brooks: And the problem is, I don't know if salt can become diluted, but I think Christians can become diluted. And when the people of God are diluted, we are Deluded if we think we're going to make a difference.
President Borja of Ecuador: From that moment, my imprisonment had meaning because at least I could see.
Edgar Guest: I would rather see a sermon than hear a sermon any day.
