Jesus meets us in our sorrow and steadies us through life’s storms. Just as He drew strength from the Father amid grief, we, too, are sustained so we may strengthen others. Faith calls us to keep our eyes on Christ when the waves rise, trusting that His presence transforms our pain into compassion and our fear into courage. Message based on Matthew 14:22-33

Quotes:

Thomas Kelly: How, then, shall we  lay hold of that Life and Power and live the life of prayer without ceasing? By quiet, persistent, practice in turning all of our being, day and night, in prayer and inward worship and surrender, toward him who calls in the deeps of our souls.

Karl Barth: "He stands by you:" A drowning man cannot pull himself out of the water by his own hair. Neither can you do it. Someone else must rescue you.

Ann Voskamp: All fear is but the notion that God's love ends.
