Did I mention that state income taxes are not charged on any retirement income including your 401k and any civilian retirement income for those over 59.5 years old? The Mississippi Gulf Coast is just a good place to live. Without a doubt, this is the best coast for military retirees and veterans. The United States Census Bureau just indicated that the population in Mississippi and specifically in two coastal counties has increased over the last few years.
