Emerson sits down with John to share some stories. John Brassard Jr is an author and historian from eastern Iowa. He has written three books about the history, legends, and lore of the Quad Cities region: Scott County Cemeteries, cowritten with his father, John Brassard Sr, Murder and Mayhem in Scott County, Iowa, and Eerie Quad Cities, cowritten with Michael McCarty. John's work has been featured in Iowa History Journal, the Quad City Times, the North Scott Press, and the DeWitt Observer, among others. He is a former president and board member of the Scott County Historic Preservation Society, and currently sits on the board of directors for the Scott County Historical Society. In addition, John is also the writer, narrator, and producer of the Stange and Dreadful Things podcast, telling stories of true crime, paranormal, and other strange happenings throughout the Midwest.
