WTF Moments:

  • Although the group has been around since the late ninety's, NXIVM has gotten A LOT of media attention in the past year, and has been accused of brainwashing people into joining this group. Their goal was to have all of the individuals actualize human potential
  • The "intent" is to have participants join in Executive Security Programs, which consist of a series of workshops that are expensive AF. These workshops were designed to actualize human potential - helping maximize the way people think, make decisions, react, and perform in various areas of life.
  • The ultimate goal is to reach an enlightened state called "fully integrated" - and the only person that has reached this state is the founder, Keith Raniere - f*cking duh.
  • Keith really sucks, but somehow has this ability to make people totally obsessed with him.
  • Within NXIVM, Keith and his bestie, started a "sorority" type group called DOS.
  • DOS is an acronym for the Latin phrase Dominus Obsequious Sororium, which loosely translates to: Master over the Slave Women - They actually called each other masters and slaves.
  • In order to join, you had to give up some sort of collateral - i.e. naked photos, a video of you confessing something horrible about your family, etc. - this is to ensure that you do not speak out if you decide to leave the group.
  • Women were also branded as a part of the initiation ceremony.
  • After women started coming out, the U.S. Attorney’s office in Brooklyn reportedly launched an investigation into NXIVM, and Raniere fled to Mexico with some female followers - including Smallville actress Allison Mack, who was photographed at the scene of his arrest in Mexico.
  • Here is an update on the charges Keith Raniere is facing - click here to read.

Speaker 1:

Heymach debbie, it's my birthday. We yay. Okay. Um, I kind of forgot it was going to be my, I wasn't aware of the day. I literally woke up this morning and couldn't remember if it was a weekend or a weekday. Oh, what's that? It's a Monday. It's not a Monday. It feels like a Monday. You know why? Because I didn't have a Monday morning meeting. We had our Tuesday morning meeting, so it feels like a Monday. I'll say, well, how is that mark? I don't know. I really don't know. But I kind of forgot it was my birthday and then I started thinking about it. So you know, when I, when you turned 30, like that's a huge milestone. Like, yeah, I knew a lot of people freaked out, threads turning 30 and I didn't, I was like pumped it. Actually, this one is freaking me out. And a million times more bang for your buck. I'm 31 I needed to be an adult. No. Yeah. Oh good. Thank you're. Okay. But no 31 is, that's, that's uh, you know, I feel like I need to get my shit together more. At 30 million. I'm almost a year older than you saw. I'm going to be 32 on Jan. We're adults. Hey, cheers. Oh my God. And this is delicious and not a mature adult drink at all. What is the cocktails and conspiracies? Everyone where it's my birthday. This sweet wished me a happy birthday the day Ti Marilyn Monroe. Just like rise from the grave and just how special would that be? Just pop out of a cake. Pop out of a cake. I could imagine it. I don't think she did. I don't think she did together, but I, for some reason I think of Marilyn Monroe popping out of a cake. She would look great doing it. Oh my God. Fantastic. The bus. So what are we drinking today? We're drinking at CULTCO I la Vida translation please. Cult of life because what are we talking about today? My daddy talking about next pm a. K. A. N. I. V. E. N. Yeah, next. See on like the cholesterol medicine. But it's a sex call as seriously and it's been in the news. Yeah, you guys, this is the craziest story. So I have to give a shout out to our really good friends, Jenny and Jeff[inaudible] Day. Seriously give us so many good ideas. They were the ones that had the idea for our last episode. The boys on the tracks. Yes. They're so good. And so we love outside suggestions cause we can only think of so much on our own. We take on. Yeah, no we do. So most of our episodes are outside suggestions by, you know, every now and then we want to put in like our own like interests cause yeah, like a classic. Right, right. We do our podcast, but we will take your six questions, 100% probably take anyone suggestions, anything said no. Yeah. If you have, even if you just have a weird fucked up story like Whoa, I want to try the fuck out of that and let's do it. Yeah. Freaky Friday. Yes. So, um, yeah, so this one, I didn't know a ton about it, but I did know something about it because in the last couple of years it's been in the news like crazy because of it's high profile like participants. And the most famous if this is going to jog anybody's memories is this girl Alex. Matt. It's Alison Mack. Oh yeah.

Speaker 2:

Alex smack is great show. Really Lou and then fell into the puddle. Alison,

Speaker 1:

have you been calling her Alex man? No, but I've been thinking about her this entire time. Right? What else did she do that was really cool? It, well, she got radioactive from the oil drum, right with the, Oh, was that how you remember her? She was like, I remember the pilot. It was at the intro, but what a great, the secret world, but she had a high, she like could melt into a puddle all the time. The only truck I remember what other trends

Speaker 2:

kids.

Speaker 1:

Okay, we'll take it. You'll take that first superhero. I still feel, oh my God. Yeah. If I could be puddled girl, that would get me out of the very many awkward business conversation and you say something wrong and you're like,

Speaker 2:

I'm going to paddle out of here now. That's pedal time.

Speaker 1:

Can this podcast, it could be about like nine these shows that we used to watch, God, the 90s were so silly. They were super, they made us who we are today, which is awesome boy or nurses depending sec. Huh. Sorry, we just make an impact. Yeah. Gotcha. So it was so that, so that's how I knew about it because I remember seeing Alison Mack, that actress from Smallville, like on the news for fucking sex trafficking and, and that into itself was such a weird thing to see because you don't, you don't correlate like young famous women sex trafficking and she's like more feminist type. You wouldn't think that she would be, well that was the kicker. Right? That's how they got'em. But did you see it in the news like in the actual news news? I never ever saw. I didn't, unless I research then I didn't pay it a lot of attention. But I do remember a couple of years ago like seeing like, like, you know, if I'm watching like Fox or NBC or whatever in the morning, like just like, you know, they'll have like a 22nd spot on it or what, but I didn't, I, cults aren't usually my thing. Good. This one is fucking nuts. Yeah. And y'all, this drink is fucking delicious. Do we have any more left right there? It's really going to make sure. So this is one and a half ounces. A rum, six ounces cranberry juice and lime. So it's like a Cape Cod. But with rum, this is going to really fast now. What's Sinus? It's really good y'all. Oh yeah, totally. It's cranberry. Is that getting antioxidants and we feel like we're at the beach. So what could be better? So healthy of vision of God in today's a fat Tuesday. Happy fat cheese stuff.

Speaker 3:

Oh

Speaker 1:

yeah. Seventies really drunk in New Orleans right now. Saving life. Yeah. And you know, yeah. Yeah. So. Okay. Can you please, um, okay, so before we start next freaky Friday, we're doing a Q and a for you guys. If you have any questions, please email us, send us a message on Instagram or Facebook and we will answer them. And we promise not to use first and last names. We'll use initials or just first names or whatever. But we just want to tell you about ourselves. Yeah. Okay. So yeah, no loans today we're talking about the crazy sex cult that's called Nexium. Pronounced like the cholesterol medicine spelled an ex I the em all Latin shit. Yeah, it makes it legit for sure. So again, this has been in the news lately, like the most recent thing you've probably seen as that Alison. Matt, yes. The actress from Smallville was recently arrested while like a year ago. And she's currently facing 15 years to life in prison for being a huge part of this. So called sex call. Yeah. And y'all, this is fucking legit. Like this is a legit sex called, it's been going on for over 15 years. Yeah. Yeah. But what is it like, how did[inaudible] get started? Like who's involved? It's really weird just how this all of a sudden is in the news now and now we know about it. So Nexium started in 1998 and Albany, New York, and it claims to be a self improvement group that helps people with their issues and teaches them how to gain success. So it started out as these super, super expensive like um, like business strategy, like, like executive, their ESP executive success programs. And there's a lot of those out there. But this one, like that's how they started. Yeah. Yeah. And the literature says that he had a ESP of a series of high intensity, high demand workshops that were designed to actualize human potential. So it was designed to change the way people think, make decisions, react and perform in various areas of life. All of the ESP programs are designed to help individuals develop the emotional and intellectual skills necessary to reach their maximum potential in all areas of life. Yes. So what they want to do is they want to make you the best person that you can be. Right. And like amongst humanity, right? Yeah. The ultimate goal is to reach an enlightened state called quote, unquote, fully integrated and shocker, the only person that has reached this state is the founder, Keith, or an air. Cool key. Yeah. Hey Keith, we're going to talk about key. So again, um, next, damn. It's also a multilevel marketing program. People pay money to take courses. It's tens of thousands of dollars. The first series is like a five to six day workshop and it's like$1,000 a day. Yeah. Yeah. So, and then you can also make money by getting other people to sign up. So it's, it's a pyramid scheme, 100%. And the group has attracted rich and famous people, including Alison, Matt Grace Park. Um, and then the Seagram's era says are also a big part of the show player. But the group's main focus is really like to idolize and to focus on Keith Renar, this African psycho. And I mean at the heart of it, that's what it was. Yeah. So, so let's talk about the sky. Ryan Air. How did he, I don't know his background and become the person he is because he has been able to steal millions of dollars from people. He, I mean he got away with us for years, for almost decades. Right. So let's talk about a little bit about him. So Keith Ryan era, he was born in Brooklyn in 1960 and in 1989 he was in the Guinness Book of World Records for having one of the highest iqs in the world. His Iq was 240 which is a very, very high, the normal Iq I believe is one 10 to one 15 do you know your Iq

Speaker 3:

junior years? Do you want to say it

Speaker 1:

some slightly above? Have Group B minus B minus Iq ass. Anyways, my mom's an educational diagnostician. That's the only reason I know got tested when I was four. Okay. Your Iq doesn't change by the way. So his Iq is two 40 he had apparently had 147 patents. He had degrees in math, biology, and physics. He had minor degrees in psychology and physiology. He was an expert in computer science and he's written two. But so he had actually gotten in trouble before for getting involved in a pyramid scheme that was very, very successful. And they sold like household appliances or something like that. But he had gotten in trouble before his lawyer made him sign an actual like document and contracts saying that. Yeah, yeah. That's literally what they made him do. But he did anyway. And he formed this group called Nexium. And again, next cm is a self improvement group that really does executive like self coaching tight. So it's definitely more of an elite quote unquote elite self help program if you, if, if that makes sense. Yeah. Um, so they start getting all of these really wealthy people and famous people to join. And again, it's like a pyramid scheme. So like only the upper echelon we'll need to solve these problems, have the time and the money and the leisure to really, really focus on these kinds of topics. It's, it's the subject matter of his programs lend itself to people that have the time or that they have the power to actually put this kind of thought into action. Whereas like the working man, who the fuck cares exactly. Pay My rent this month. Yeah. So that's like normal people. Yeah, of course. So back to Rainier, he was again really into multilevel marketing structures. He was really into the whole pyramid scheme. He wanted to recruit members to Nexium and then have them recruit other people to earn money to fund the program, Blah, blah, blah. So how did he come up with it? He comes up with this group, next cm one day while sitting with his friend Nancy Solomon and Nancy Solomon is big player. She's a really big player. She's like this famous lawyer, right? So I think she's a lawyer. I Dunno, I didn't do a ton of research. She is, she, yeah, she's a famous lawyer and she's an expert therapist. And um, Keith has known as like the spiritual leader. A Nancy is going to be known as the prefect. So when they're talking and deciding to like, hey, we're going to make up this group. Those are the titles she was given. She was given was vanguard. Yeah. Cool. So it's like president and vice president. So he like literally thought he was going to change the world. So him and Nancy, they were like, we have this obligation to our higher call, right to the elite and we need to change the world and blah, blah blah.

Speaker 4:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

Okay. So this is an interview between Catherine air and Alison Mack in this stage, in our view, the first uploaded to runners youtube channel and April, 2017 or near answers questions post by Allison Mack on a variety of topics ranging from human emotions to acting skills to sexual relationships, Maca, peers, mesmerized by renews every word. And so one thing about Keith Rainier that is really, really important is everyone says that he had this ability to make you feel like you are so special and the only person in the room. So most, most cult leaders are either one of these things or they're both very charismatic and then they make you feel they, they find what you don't have and they give you what's missing. And then you idolize them cause they're like, you're like, Oh wow, he appreciates me and gets me just guy is so fucking so douchey.

Speaker 4:

Let me see.

Speaker 1:

So the first question I came up with is something that's sort of, it seems like it's kind of a trend right now. Like Elizabeth Gilbert started it before with the Ted talk about creativity and then there's like all these books and all these processes of like h what is creativity? And it's this gift from the gods. And I know for myself there were moments in time when I feel like creatively a bound. And then there are other times when I just feel like the most boring person on the planet. I can't come up with anything. And I was just wondering if you could explain sort of your take on the nature of creativity and if there's a process. I go through a bunch of things that are just not creating creativity. And creates like a muscle that scientific check normally

Speaker 5:

speak of science and creativity is sort of being somewhat opposite, but they're, they're not really, I mean inherent and science is this notion that we could have freewill and there's even in science things like the Heisenberg uncertainty principle, the, that talks about our limits on how we could observe things and stuff like that. But uh, you know, a point is if we have something that we can predict, it becomes not creative at all. It has no free will and it's science. And if it seems to have free will we see it as things then things, parts of it that are not predictable and thereby creative. It creates, it is the thing that comes from it is not a function

Speaker 6:

like what is he say this is or what my interpretation of what he's talking about. It's a lot of like high level philosophy. That doesn't mean anything. Yeah. So what are, where are the concrete steps where the concrete actions, like you're just talking about, it's just an idea like you and I can talk about like why the color blue is blue, but what action does that put you towards? Like what outcome is there based off of what he's saying? So like, but the way she's looking at him as like, you're a fucking genius. She's not a great interview cause she already has a bias. Right. Okay. So let's listen to a little more,

Speaker 1:

I guess so, or maybe just the root of, uh, something that you produce.

Speaker 5:

I mean, how do you know you're being creative? I produced a bunch of curriculum. I have no idea if that's creative. Yeah. Well, I mean it shows this school,

Speaker 1:

I think creativity to me like it has to do with generating something that hasn't existed before. To share a share an experience like it has to do with, I mean it's just expression. Okay. But then there's expression that's very Roche and very like controlled and very formulaic that you see over and over. And then there's expression that's like very new or profound or effective, innovative. You can even say. So to me there's different levels of creativity in that.

Speaker 5:

Well, you know, it's interesting. Do you think the best actors of the most creative, I think of the most authentic, right? So maybe I would ask what's the use of sending as fuck? It was creativity or someone's being creative. Interesting.

Speaker 1:

I don't know. I think I just like, I have an interest and I think it's pretty common. Um, I guess it has more to do with just like generating work that's relatable, but generating, I guess work like something original, something that's more interesting and compelling.

Speaker 5:

Well that's the thing. You see creativity somehow imports with it. These positives of interesting, um, you know, new and surprising, you know, also to fireworks and flowers and butterflies and yeah, Bronx but rock. But create the opposite of creative. If you look at it, it's either wrote or scientific or, or method methodological or whatever you want to call it. Um, that's, someone's becomes pejorative. That person's not creative. Did he make up that word? Oh and what are they? All the boring, right? No Fun. Creative because it's totally by surprise. If I know it's coming and I completely know it's coming, then it's not how many teams, therefore it's no fun. I would never be in his cold because I'd see like I don't necessarily, you know everything don't you? Cultural.

Speaker 1:

Okay. What he was doing to her was so condescending. Like she has her own opinion. Opinions aren't wrong. She will do, she was crying, she was trying, she was trying to have an opinion that he could relate to her that he would agree with and he was still shutting her down. She doesn't have her own opinion at all. She's warped and, but the thing is she's trying to express like her eye and in taking an abstract, you know, focus like creativity. Are you fucking kidding? Yeah. Like this is a bunch of, I would walk out of that so fast. I'm like, oh, okay. Well can we talk about like time travel then? Because that's okay. So that's with Colt is like you put in and you believe so much and you put in all of this effort because it's a lot of, then you feel like you can't go back. Great. But all of that shit, it's not concrete conversation whatsoever at all. It makes no sense. Febreeze in the like a sky kind of thing. Like it's, Oh my God, that guy I can't stand on. And unfortunately, I've heard a lot of people sound like him. I know what every everyone out there please like, just don't, you know, well, learner, please feel learner even if you're not come off of it like that because you'll never be listened to. Like unless you just want sheep. Well, exactly, exactly. Yeah. It's almost, I don't know, like he's a genius, but he's also diluted again. Retard. Diluted. Yeah. It's hard. Okay. So no joke, Keith Ranier's belief wise, a lot of these people that they were recruiting, he believed that they were reincarnated Nazi officers and therefore facing their punishment. And you have a lot of success with it. Nazis. I mean, who left fuck thinks that, I don't know. Uh, I bet he's Jewish. Not, I dunno, is he? I don't know. We're near, is that like a French name? I sounds like a French name. Okay. So he had more about Keith and look at the Nazis. Jesus. Like if I was like a part of these seminars and I was told like I was a reincarnated Nazi, I'd be like

Speaker 6:

later days, bye.

Speaker 1:

So Nexium claims to be a self help group, but according to some of the people who laugh, that's not the whole story. Some people say that after they laughed, next cm came after them in the courts after speaking out. And this is where like this is now we're all figuring out what exactly this group is, how it started and how fucked up it really is. Some of the most serious allegations in the FBI indictments have to do with the secret group linked to next cm. It's like a subgroup within Nexium called Das. The women who joined dos say that, you know, they thought it was a great secret group for women to join. They thought it was going to be empowering. Like it's all, all about women. But

Speaker 6:

it was actually not like a really fucked up grip. Yeah. Let me talk about it. Let's talk about that. So Doris is actually an acronym for the Latin Phrase dominous upset, acquiesce sorority him. What does it mean? It's loosely translates to master over the slave woman. So roll, sweet, cool. Real feminist role like sisterhood. Love that great slave, Lemmon, slave women. You Ne Slave woman sisters. Yeah. Sign me up. How do I rush? They actually called each other masters and slaves. So the times alleged that there was a sorority type group within[inaudible] called Dos in which masters they recruited slaves and that these slaves were asked to hand over collateral as part of their vetting process, including naked photographs or other compromising material. And I'll get into why so fucked up. Literally in order to join like the stupid secret group with an a secret group, you had to give them either like naked pictures or like a video of you confessing something horrible, like something that they could vote against you so that you wouldn't leave. Well you wouldn't leave but then you wouldn't talk about it. So it's like to insure a secrecy, so that, so keep in mind that you're not coming into dos cold, like you've been a part of Nexium, like you've been, you knew it starts you off slow. Like by the time you get to the dos, you've already been fucking brainwashed. And so this is just like one next level that you've already gone through, like a million to get to. So it's not in cold cause anyone that would come into that cold and be like, fuck, you know, but you've already been a part of this for someone. So it doesn't seem you're, you're already like aligning yourself in that which of these people and they h and you trust them and you're getting stuff from it. So it's, it's definitely not something you come in cold too. Right. So, um, let's talk about Sarah Edmund Fence. So she had been a, so she was recruited into next cm early, early on. She's a virgin, she's out of Vancouver and they were huge in Canada. Like there's a huge, huge, huge following in Canada. And she been a part of next season for a very like a 10, almost 10 years. And then that's when she got invited to like this, the inner circle of Dos. And actually because of this branding ritual I'm about to describe, that's what that was her last, she had a ton of red flags along the way, but can, she's going to talk about how it was done. And so like subtle steps that you don't really know like what you're leaving. Like they push you a little bit, push you a little bit more out of your comfort zone. And you know, at first you think it's healthy. Like, you know what? I need to work through this. Like I do need to be, I'd comfortable all, I can only get over these things that I'm working through if I do. And then by the time you look back, like 10 years later, you're like, oh my God, what the fuck have I become? And so during this branding ritual, that's what pushed her to leave and come out. Yeah. So, uh, this article says defector, but I think she was fucking brave to do this. Sarah. They call her a defector cause she defected from the group. So the group would probably call her a defector public shut down.[inaudible] he, well, Sarah, you're a hero. He what? Is that a no, it's Mariah. Yeah. But then there's also your outcomes.

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Speaker 6:

Suddenly don't kill us. Mariah fans, lovey Mariah, sleep the staff. So she told the time, Sarah Edmondson, so she was recruited directly by Laura Salzman with to kind of, to dos like, so how's she got recruited? She met a director named Mark Vincent t who made a film called what the bleep do we know? And she said it came out at a great time in my life when I was seeking a certain path of bettering myself. Look, she's like, it's these people who are like introspective. Right. When I met him at a film festival, this director, I told him that I loved his film, just gushing. He said, if I liked the film, I might like this program he just took. And he had taken the 16 Dave program with Nexium. And I, and she says, I actually remember standing with him and talking about this really smart guy. I need Keith Rainier who was a humanitarian and really changing the world at that time. That just appealed to me. The whole concept appeal to me. I ended up taking my first five k trading just a few weeks later. So like it's an easy in right. And Salzman made it and this is a quote made it sound like a bad ass bitch boot camp and I'd be like, yeah, bad ass bitches. Yeah, Bikini sees that and then you get in there and then it's a different story. So d a Dos masters groomed dos slaves for sex with Rainier by requiring there's the slaves to adhere to extremely restrictive diets and not remove their pubic hair in accordance with rain years, sexual preferences. And by all he likes to push and give me that seventies Bush. What happens if you're like the last hard that ass bitch when you're fat? Like pube wags.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, like a to pay for it. I have to be a toupee for sure. You'd have the longest Ms. Beautiful flowing, big Bush of the ball sticking up. And just that you liked that few of us like donkey. Yeah. Fuck you right here.

Speaker 6:

And then they also required them to remain celibate and to not masturbate. What? Yeah, but he was fucking all of them. Well not that he only wanted them to experience anything sexual with him. So they had to remain celibate and they couldn't master rate any kind of sexual like output would be with him. Um, so like you said, in order to join you had to fork over some collateral to prove your loyalty. So nude photos, video, confessions of damaging secrets. So if they quit, they fear their collateral would be released. So, right. So Pam Aka fucking blackmail. Blackmail. So let's talk about the initiation ceremony. So AME has released a clip of it, show colts and extreme belief featuring former Nexia members, detailed accounts of the group's alleged abuses, including a horrific branding ritual. Dang, as then they brand cows. Yes, they brown brand women. Awesome. And if you couldn't see a correlation between you and a fucking half her, then like she's got a heart. So the actual branding itself was an Alison Mac's home. Um, that's uh, so Sarah Edmondson towels, the host of this and each show, so in this is, this is who's giving the law. They've, you know, there's been many other ex members that have been interviewed, but she's the one that actually went through this whole dos ceremony that actually has come out and given details. So it's very like if you look up any interviews with Sarah Edmondson, like she's really, really, really traumatized by this. This is how crazy this whole experience has been for this poor woman. Right? And how brave of her to come out and expose that, expose this crazy fucking cold. It's not what it seems. So let me go back to really quick again, this is what they believe. It's not only like you're your own empowerment, but in nexiums literature. Now this is what they're telling people. This is what they're saying. To get people to buy into this suggest that humanities survival may be at stake, that the students of Nexia must develop an integrated ethical framework of human experience to stop the destruction of value in the world. Now look, that's, that's, that's really like, oh, okay. Oh my gosh, what are you smoking? But you know, if you sit there and think about it like, yeah, like let's be better humans. Let's stop. Like all this crazy shit that's happening in the world is making the world a better place. So here's where the programs seemingly altruistic claims intersect with the capitalistic interests of interests of its target demographics. So, you know, we said that they targeted really wealthy people and here's why that, so there's this study that looked at all of these claims that after all of this stuff came out, the study found that the goal of participants is actually to control as much as the world's wealth as possible so they can use it ethically. Let's get a shit ton of money in here because if we can control the world, many of them, we can do good with it. Cool. Right? New World Order. So next season's recruiting focus structure presents its own opportunity to make money. Like you said, Sarah Edmondson herself was a talented recruiter who opened a Vancouver chapter and sold training. So she recruited thousands of people to come to Nexium because she was so into it. And then beginning, um, they, it next same claims, over 16,000 people took their entry level courses. And like I said, that that was between 5,000 and$6,000 each each. Right? Um, the people that actually took the entry level course, whether they did anything after that are not included. Fucking Richard Branson, Virgin Airlines, like for like, are you kidding me? Um, US surgeon general, Dr Antonio Novello, the editor at Oprah magazine, acting CEO of Enron. Steve Cooper. Oh, okay. Hey, red flag. Yes. Um, so groups like that seek out people who are idealistic, educated, powerful, creative, wealthy and charismatic. Like I said before, they're the people that have made their wealth. So they're sitting there thinking like, okay, what else can I do? Like, I'm not worried about the day to day here. I have a long term plan that I don't even have to play it for him because I'm fucking rich and successful. I don't need to worry about paying my belt. Right? The reason they did that beyond those reasons is because they could recruit more people of that level or higher. So it's a network. It's a WHO's who. So that's what you're into before you even get into this dosh. Right, right. So let's talk about the initial initiation ceremony. And this is the initiation ceremony into dos, right? The sorority Colt inside the other cult inside of Colton, Colton colts. Um, so that, so it was done in Alison Mack's home and in previous accounts, Sarah Edmondson had described the branding has something she and a handful of other women underwent as a part of a special, in the initiation into a sorority within Nexium. They were allegedly on naked and had to hold each other down during the process. So in the 20, so this times expos a was written in 2017 like this is the one that broke this story, right? Um, Edmundson's shared her experience being branded. She had been told she would get a small tattoo as part of the initiation, but she was not prepared for what came next. And she said like, you know, I didn't really want a tattoo. Like, I didn't it, that's what I thought it was going to be. But like Lauren Salzman pushed our, she's like no, come on. Like you've got to push your boundaries. Like it's not a big deal while I, and when you're that dedicated and you've been a part of something for so long, it's like okay, at[inaudible] little tiny tattoo or no one's going see it. Right. Someone can convince someone to do that. Right. So it's 2017 times expo as a Sarah Emison shared her experience spring branded. Like I said, she had been told she'd get a small tattoos part of the initiation, but she wasn't prepared because that's all she was told it would be. So each woman was told to undress and lie on a massage table while three others restrained her legs and shoulders. Okay, how fucking scary get restrained for Tattoo now. Right. That's that man tattoo. They weren't given anything. Like they weren't given any sort of like anesthetic or like any type of numbing, like they had to take the pain. So, according to one of the women there, master a top Nexium official, which is Laura Salzman, and instructed them to say, master, please brand me. It would be an honor. So they had to say that before this all happened, a female doctor, and I'm not even going to go down this rabbit hole. So this female doctor, she's actually someone pretty well known and she's being handed died into like that. I didn't want to talk like it's a whole nother rabbit hole. She took a fucking oath, right? She's not falling yet. Hippocratic, a female doctor proceeded to use a cauterizing device to see, or a two inch square symbol below each woman's hit a procedure that took 20 to 30 minutes per hours. Muffled screams and the smell of burning tissues, Phil. Oh, the road.

Speaker 3:

Yeah.

Speaker 6:

So the actual thing that that was branded looks like both Ranier's and Mack's initials, depending on which way you looked at it. It looks like Kr. And then another way looks like am yeah, and they said it was on accident, but it's so on purpose. So here's what near has to say about this dos group. He said, I feel it is important to clarify the sorority is not a part of next year and that I am not associated with the grip, but they're getting his fucking initials, Brian it on themselves. So, okay. Um, I firmly support one's right to freedom of expression. So what the sorority or any other social group chooses to do is not our business. So long as there's no abuse.

Speaker 3:

So

Speaker 6:

basically, so she left the Colt. Sarah Edmondson left the colt two months after that dos initiation ceremony. Like she just couldn't fucking do think it broke something in her, right. Yeah. Um, so when she left, she immediately came out and was like, this is fucked up. I've got to tell somebody. And so her testimony, which like I said, was first revealed and that times story, let prosecutors to arrest rest Keith or near on charges, blackmailing and brainwashing often Richard famous women into joining his alleged sex cult. So like, because of her testimony, this jump started it. One thing that I think is really sad is like whenever she came out, she'd been, she's been called stupid and blind for believing, believing in nexiums personal development programs and submitting to mutilation. Um, and they actually, New York authorities declined to pursue charges against Nexium or the or Keith Renar because the branding's were deemed consensual. And then Reneer filed a Michif complaint. It gets Sarah Edmondson and Vancouver. So in response, she recounts over 10 years of manipulation tactics she claims to have endured that made it nearly impossible for her to leave her question abuses. So that's like, you can't call it, it's brainwashing. It is absolute manipulation and it's slow and steady and it's not, like I said, cold, like it's not like, oh yeah, our second day of her training program, like, Hey, what did join a sex cult? And like Brandy's initials into you because any sane person would be like, no, I'm not bought in. They wait. Waited until she was bought it. Yeah. Okay. So before I get into the details of his arrest, she also shared like some of the details that actually went on in the Colt. So her husband, this lady is Sarah Edmondson, was also a part of the Nexium program guys, man. Okay, well where's your brand? Like all of them took the courses. Yeah. Right. So, but the like for example, you know, women, their collateral, if they didn't make a quota or like didn't bring 70, it was like, like, I want to release your nude photos. Right. But then for example, she said her husband had committed to recruiting a certain number of people for the men's group. So there's men's groups and women's groups within Nexia. Um, and if he didn't, he was going to have to give away his leather jacket from being a quarterback from high school. So that was his like, but that's so fucked up. Sell Fact Dad. Yeah. So, so she said for women, so this was before the nude photos. This is before dos, right? Like, so he had to get up at a, up his Letterman jacket, which is so fucked up. But like, okay. Um, for women, pinots was largely about calories. Yeah. So she says, Sarah says, I remember there was one woman, I saw what's on a 300 calorie diet a day because of some breach she had done. She was only eating mash to frozen Zucchini and tomatoes. Do why? Cause she did. She didn't do something right. So they're like, well, you can only eat 300 calories a day. Um, so I'm going to get into it as arrest. But in the rest documents, Rineer is alleged to have insisted that the women attending his classes were wore fake cow udders over their breasts while they were called derogatory names. Totally. Total breakdown and humiliation. It's not female empowerment. It's not human empowerment or you're an animal. Yeah, that's so fucked. Awesome. He's the fucking worst. And I hate him talking. I don't want to lose who could listen to one of his classes. It's like, I don't like God, be like totally like warped spaced. And he's also accused of putting women in cages, starving them on diets of 500 calories a day. He forced one follower to run into a tree and drink from a puddle. So He's like, write herself into that tree, like slam yourself into that tree and then like if he won't want her to drink from this puddle. Um, so Sarah was told when she was asked to join that like they wanted a nude photo or a family secret or something like that and she's, and she said, well, I was like, well, I'm not going to give you a nude photo, but okay. I just felt super uncomfortable. So again, red flag. I even talked to Laura Salzman about that and she's like, that's good. Are there about the red flag? Like, Hey, I don't feel comfortable about this. Like I don't want to be a part of this. And more assaults was like, that's good. It should be something you feel nausea unit about because you want to feel really sick to your stomach so that you have weight to your word that you're never going to speak about it. Oh my God, it's so she, and she said like, she said, like, I even like made stuff. She's like, you know, bashed all my family like sh is she eventually did. Do you have nude photos? Like, but at the beginning she's just like, okay, I'll tell some secrets and like she told some secrets and then you're just like bashed her family on video and then she was like, I actually made things up because I didn't have that many indiscretions. Like I didn't have that much to be like, sorry about or like ashamed about. So she made stuff up and she eventually gave new photos. But so this is interesting. And one of the last curriculums that they had, they had to take a gender based relationship, sex and identity program. She said Keith taught us that one of the strongest and perfections of the female gender among other things is that we're weak and have no character were indulgent emotionally and we're princesses. I can see all this now is just fucking bullshit. Excuse my language. No, you don't have to be excused. That's fucking bullshit. One of the things he taught us was was that women are always looking for the back door. Even if we get married, we think, oh, we can still get divorced. We're always looking at a better opportunity, which now I see in my opinion, is Keith's view on women. Holy Shit. Fucking fuck. I hate him. I hate him. I just want to pinch his smug ass. So after the initial story broke on the dos, the US Attorney's office in Brooklyn reportedly relaunched and investigation into next ham and then Rainier fled to Mexico with some of their, his top female followers. Um, and they were going after us, um, was going after her and on charges of sex trafficking and forced labor conspiracy. But let's go back a little bit because this guy should've gone to jail decades ago. So it started that, that stuff really started with a 12 year old that Rainier groomed in the early 1990s, so rainy years group. Then the next one was in its early stages, hired the girl as a dog walker specifically so he could get close to her. 1998 when he was in his late twenties in New York. He showered her with attention, grooming her for a sexual relationship. She was 12 and taking her virginity. Oh my God. The 1990 victim said she had had sex with Rainier at least 60 times, including in an office for his members only buying club consumers. Buyline EEG. I think that's like what you were talking about, those other business where her mother worked. Oh my God. She grew uncomfortable with the relationship. No chat and ran away from home. She hasn't been identified, which of course because this happened and she was fucking 12 she reported that she reported him to the police in 1993 and according to the Times Union, the case never move forward because no forensic evidence was available and she refused to wear a wire and confront Grainier as a strategy that legal experts say would rarely be suggested today. Fucking early 1990s oh she later signed a waiver saying we're near had sex with her but agreed not to pursue charges like the fucking sucks. Like you can't ask. So she was 12 in 1986 she was 15 are you really going to like wear a wire and be a spy?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so a poor thing. I know. And, and it just like, that's not the first time like that had happened. He, um, oops, whoa, that got real small. So I mean he ha it. Like he had an, and like the 80s, he had slept with like 14, 15 year olds and like he's just a dog. He is a dog. So anyways, so that's really sad. But like this, that like she like tried to press charges on him, it just never happened. Um, so the real, the federal investigation began in December after Sarah Edmondson filed a complaint saying she was branded with rainers initials kr. Um, so a warrant for his arrest was issued, who's taken into custody after Mexican federal police helped us authorities to track him to me luxury$10,000 a week villa in Mexico where like I said, he was staying with like his top women. Um, it was in Porto Vita and um, the four women that were with him were Clare Bronfman, Bronfman, Kathy Russell, Laura Salzman and Nancy Salzman and Bronfman is the heirs to the Seagram's liquor fortune and she's being arraigned. Yeah, they're all involved in, yeah. She was one of the chief financial backers for next year end. So, and they all, those women are being charged for helping him with various illicit activities such as conspiracy to commit crimes like identity theft, harboring of aliens for financial gain, extortion, forced labor, sex trafficking, money laundering, wire fraud and obstruction of justice. So I have an outpost, the Eh, we'll post the link. It has, I found the document for his affidavit and all the charges laid against him, like of what next cm is it details everything it talks about. Um, what I thought was really interesting are the, uh, defections and aftermath portion of this. Like it just, it just details everything that was published at like there an information gathering techniques, like what they found out about Nexium, like where their inner of like their witnesses were.

Speaker 3:

Um, and then, uh,

Speaker 1:

yeah, it's just, it's just crazy and you can read a lot of like what they discovered, but so now, so he, that was back in, you know, they, I know it's early 2018, and so where he is today, he's still being held. But I think the trial got pushed for really long time. He has been denied bail three times. Like they're not letting him pay his way off. So he's still in jail. Should thank God he's not in jail. So yeah. Katherine Year he's been in jail. I'm about to play his lawyers clap, which is so fucking ridiculous. You couldn't know that. It's to be a defense lawyer for people who I know are just fucking crazy. But that sounds like a good one. Honestly. They come look as good as possible, whereas in your mind you're like, this is so fucked up. Right. I'm Alison Mack. She was also charged with sex trafficking, sex trafficking, conspiracy and forced labor conspiracy last April. She's facing a minimum sentence of 15 years to life if convicted. Yeah. So for the moment she remains out on a$5 million bond. Uh, she's free to study more of Scientology's winning strategies. Oh really? Oh yeah. Just in case Scientology. Let's, um, I want, I want to play this fucking his, um, his lawyers clap. It's just so fucked up to me like defense attorneys. So let's see here is key through nears lawyer. Yeah. So this is Mark F. Hello. Um, he is Keith Rainier's attorney and this is his take on the whole situation and dos, we already know that Keith tried to separate himself from dos by saying like the Sorority, this is not Nexium. If like followers one to do something they can, we don't have the right part of it. So He's already tried to distance itself from this even though their branding is fucking initials. Exactly right. Keep that in mind.

Speaker 7:

Everyone hears, not only build your wealth to do adults, there are adults that for the most part are educated. They're smart, they have financial opportunity. Um, they're successful economically and they have choices. You know, these are not poor put upon people you know, who are desperate for a better life and will make choices against their self interest. I think the government's position has elements of sexism in it. They're men in the United States who join fraternities and get branded. A lot of them are athletes. We see these tremendous brands on there, you know, muscular arms when they're during football games. And during other sporting activities. And we don't think anything of the fact that big, strong athletic men brand themselves. Also men joined secret groups, the masons or a secret group. There are scores of secret groups from Harvard and Yale and all these, you know, elevated educational institutions and we don't make anything of it. Yeah. Women want to be in a secret group and want to be branded and all of a sudden we're very quick to say, Oh, poor dears, they must be victims because no, no. Right. Thinking free willed woman would ever want that for herself. And I think that's sexist. And I think the government is playing into a sexist agenda. You know, men do these things, we call them marines, you know, women do these things, we call them victims.

Speaker 1:

That's, yes. The ISOS that, to come back to my point earlier, this isn't a cold recruiting mechanism. Like a guy that wants to be in a fraternity and to brand himself. Like he hasn't spent a decade getting brainwashed. Right. And he all like that. That's the point. It's not like they're going to go cold recruiting. Like, Hey, join dot. But to do it, we're going to breathe. And you do you want to do it right now? They don't know that this is going to happen until the fucking day. Becky, Sarah Edmondson, she had been a part of Nexium for 10 years. Right. And she didn't even know about this obvious and then, oh, but do you like to get branded as an athlete and as a sports team, do they also ask you for collateral to blackmail you in the future if you talk about it? Exactly.

Speaker 3:

Let's see if he sells anything.

Speaker 5:

The FBI says that big Keith was using dos to compel women to have sex with him. What does he say about that?

Speaker 7:

Absolutely. Fall hundred percent false. I mean, Keith has sex life. Um, he has had multiple partners his entire life. They know about each other and they're okay with it. You know, I think most of the time, not all the time, most of the time. Um, but he makes no bones about it. You know, this is who he is. And women choose to be intimate with Keith or not with that knowledge.

Speaker 3:

Okay.

Speaker 5:

Oh yeah, that'd be, I alleges that there are, in fact several women who were in dos who said they, they were forced or compelled because of his collateral had handed over collateral to have some kind of sexual encounter with Keith. Are you suggesting that those women are lying?

Speaker 7:

Yes. Um, I'm, I'm, I'm saying they're like, if there's, if they're saying that they were coerced to have sex with Keith, I'm saying they're lying.

Speaker 5:

I think one of the really interesting,

Speaker 1:

wow. Okay. All right. I don't like this. Wow. He sounds like a good lawyer though. He doing his job. But here's like, that is absolutely just, but nobody is going to take a key through new years.

Speaker 3:

Side Hill,

Speaker 1:

Alison Mack, because she's brainwashed and she's also so, so why was about his sex life like it's a very well known fact that he rotated between 15 and 20 women in and out. Those were the ones that could not, that had to be celibate. Couldn't masturbate. Like those were his like sex group. Yeah. I'm sorry if he, half Nora couldn't get in trouble. He's got be doing something fucked up. He's got to, he's got too, yeah, no, Hugh half. And Hey, there's a whole thing about Hugh Hefner. Like they had roles at the playboy mansion. Like they had all that, but he has hurt the girls. They didn't hurt them. I mean, I think that there were like insane rules. They had curfews and stuff like that, which is absolutely crazy. Yeah. But to your point, like you have to have had this same sex life, why isn't he indicted? Obviously fucking Keith or an error is not doing, is abusing somebody and taking their money. At least you have never paid the girls. So yeah. Anyways, so like I said, I mean there's a couple of pins, spiritual aspects to this about like, you know, your new world order stuff. They want a lot of money so they can use it ethically and like it's, it's just the same shit. Yeah. It's fucked debt. So down join calls, just like our favorite, my favorite murderer says, call your dad, you're an nichold. Yeah, I love that. Yeah. Call your dad first car or your mom. Yeah, just call someone. Don't join a cult. Don't, yeah, it's just, it's, I mean, the way, I mean obviously he's a smart guy because the way that they did it was, I mean it's, it's like I said, taking these affluent people with like think about like some of the people that you talked to that are high level executives versus the people that are actually doing the work at any given company, high level executives like have these, you know, more, you know, forward thinking, maybe not rational ideas about, okay, how can we better ourselves as a company? But then there's people like, hey, actually like you know, our guys who are working like too long of shifts, that's not sexy thinking, but that's like real life. So it's the gap between betterment that is act. It's based in reality versus like, let's just sit here and ideate on like these grand plans. And that's what a lot of high powered people do because what else are they going to do? And so I can entitled and they, everyone has weaknesses. Everyone has insecurities. So if you can into both the, those ESPs, like let's be better because we have power and we influenced people and then, oh, I need to know that they're insecure about this thing. So let's tap into that to make them dependent upon this hundred percent. That's what you get. So the way he did it was very smart. Well, yeah, he has that can, I can't, I need to, I want to look up more about that, but yeah. Anyways, so that's that grass Jania it's still ongoing. So yeah, we'll keep you updated as soon as they find out some info. Well, I had just hope he gets sentenced to life and me shall never, ever, ever, ever come back. But I also, I do feel kind of bad for some, uh, like I almost feel bad for Alison Mack because, oh, I do desperate actors. Like are you going to leave the videos that you play it? Yeah, I'll lay them all the videos and all the IRB or watch her interview. It's very sad. She's, I'm mesmerized. She's a completely hit. Like it's completely taken by this guy. He's such a nerd. Yeah. So that's next. Sam, we're going to, like I said, we're, we're actually going to be kind of revamping our topic list and we're always looking for something new, something obscure or something weird like any topic. Doesn't matter. Follow us on Instagram, email us dusty and make dab and general tech comm. Yeah. Tells underscore and underscore conspiracies on Instagram yet. Find our page on Facebook. We suck at Twitter. I don't think we've done anything on Twitter. Twitter is like the automatic thing. Yeah. Okay. I'm not a big Twitter person out either. It's never happened. I don't even follow the other Moncton for over a year and now I haven't either. The mines, it's like automatic I think. Okay. Well whatever, whatever, we don't care. But, um, if you guys have any updates or any opinions on this topic or any other topic, let us know because again, this is pretty new and if there's any other reading material, anything else, please post. We'll post it to our website and as a list of, I like our sources and things and check out, cause there's a lot of other rabbit holes you can get into. But, um, vanity fair and I believe it is a CBC. They have great, great stories on this. And so it's like, if you want something on TV, if you want something to a better, break it down. I suggest looking at those. Um, but yeah. Well, and Andrew, Nicole Connard, God, her mom, keep an eye out on this for you and give you any updates. Everyone hope you enjoyed. Yeah. God bless you. I love you. God bless. I always good backwards. I didn't grow up with Velma whispering it every day, so I don't have it ingrained in my DNA. My mom hangs up the phone every conversation. She says, I love you God. Blessed Trust. No one said, well definitely that's important. Mirror. Yeah. Don't trust any Harry Potter adult looking psychopaths. If he looks like he stepped off the Harry Potter set, then like immediately back the fuck up. Back, back, back. Yeah. Took care of that. I feel like that was.

Skippers start here
