«Viewpoints» is the latest podcast and news magazine produced by the Community Radio Fund of Canada. It provides an overview of what’s happening across Canada, thanks to some 20 radio reporters posted across the country (British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, North West Territories, Québec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia) and working for the Local Journalism Initiative (LJI). The Local Journalism Initiative (LJI) supports the production of original civic journalism news content that covers the diverse needs of underserved communities across Canada. Politics, society, environment, community, arts and culture take the air on «Viewpoints» hosted by Boris Chassagne. The Community Radio Fund of Canada works in collaboration with the National Campus and Community Radio Association (NCRA/ANREC).

We remember the work and contributions of Montreal Standard Time’s journalist and Canadian author, Mavis Gallant. Therapists can come in all shapes or forms. A four-legged horse at Minden’s Walkabout Farm changes lives in the community. Sixteen zero-emission buses have been purchased as part of Winnipeg’s Transition Fleet Project. Last October’s atmospheric river poured on to BC, but had a positive effect : record salmon counts are observed in West Vancouver. We’ll learn why!
And, it’s Canadian Agriculture Literacy Month, we’ll go to Fergus, Ontario where students get to learn more about farming.
Our journalists this week are Jules Bugiel, Elizabeth Oakley, Ryan Funk, Danny Nesvaderani, and Riley Gillespy-Wilson. Our National editors are Conrad Fox and Victoria Fenner. Viewpoints is produced by the Community radio Fund of Canada and the Local Journalism Initiative. Host and producer Boris Chassagne.
