«Viewpoints» is the latest podcast and news magazine produced by the Community Radio Fund of Canada. It provides an overview of what’s happening across Canada, thanks to some 20 radio reporters posted across the country (British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, North West Territories, Québec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia) and working for the Local Journalism Initiative (LJI). The Local Journalism Initiative (LJI) supports the production of original civic journalism news content that covers the diverse needs of underserved communities across Canada. Politics, society, environment, community, arts and culture take the air on «Viewpoints» hosted by Boris Chassagne. The Community Radio Fund of Canada works in collaboration with the National Campus and Community Radio Association (NCRA/ANREC).

We’ll spend most of our time strolling down the streets of Montreal’s Little Burgundy Borough, in the company of British photographer Andrew Jackson. And to the other end of the country: American flags are still flying high in the streets of Smithers BC leaving some residents feeling uneasy. They could soon come down.
A big thank you to both our journalists this week, Jules Bugiel and Pamela Haasen. Our National Editors are Victoria Fenner and Conrad Fox. Viewpoints is produced by the Community Radio Fund of Canada and the Local Journalism Initiative. I’m your host and producer, Boris Chassagne.
