«Viewpoints» is the latest podcast and news magazine produced by the Community Radio Fund of Canada. It provides an overview of what’s happening across Canada, thanks to some 20 radio reporters posted across the country (British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, North West Territories, Québec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia) and working for the Local Journalism Initiative (LJI). The Local Journalism Initiative (LJI) supports the production of original civic journalism news content that covers the diverse needs of underserved communities across Canada. Politics, society, environment, community, arts and culture take the air on «Viewpoints» hosted by Boris Chassagne. The Community Radio Fund of Canada works in collaboration with the National Campus and Community Radio Association (NCRA/ANREC).

Grief in three dimensions–Canadian composer and playwright Britta Johnson talks about Life After, the musical that grew up with her. Syrup for Soldiers. A father and son duo turn their Maple sweet success into a Haliburton County charity. And we’ll travel just next door, well some 250 km away, and full steam ahead to the Elliott Tree Farm to get a taste of its version of the maple gold.
Our journalists this week: Mia Johnson, Elizabeth Oakley and Riley Gillespie-Wilson. Our National Editors are Conrad Fox and Victoria Fenner. Viewpoints is produced by the Community Radio Fund of Canada and the Local Journalism Initiative. Host and producer, Boris Chassagne.
