«Viewpoints» is the latest podcast and news magazine produced by the Community Radio Fund of Canada. It provides an overview of what’s happening across Canada, thanks to some 20 radio reporters posted across the country (British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, North West Territories, Québec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia) and working for the Local Journalism Initiative (LJI). The Local Journalism Initiative (LJI) supports the production of original civic journalism news content that covers the diverse needs of underserved communities across Canada. Politics, society, environment, community, arts and culture take the air on «Viewpoints» hosted by Boris Chassagne. The Community Radio Fund of Canada works in collaboration with the National Campus and Community Radio Association (NCRA/ANREC).

This week’s show will be quite different, as journalist Ian Gregg connects the dots between past and present as he investigates Prince George’s indie record retail scene. We will, for most of this half-hour, follow his footsteps, and let him guide us across town. Then, the N.D.G. “Art Hop” brings the public to local artists. And we’ll also meet up with some young Liverpool filmmakers who are creating quite a buzz in their hometown and even beyond.
Thanks to our LJI journalists, Ian Gregg, Adam Iniss and Rick Conrad. Our National Editors are Victoria Fenner and Conrad Fox. Viewpoints is brought to you by the Community Radio Fund of Canada and the Local Journalism Initiative. Host and producer Boris Chassagne.
