SPEAKER_01

Welcome back to the Next Set Fantasy Football Podcast. My name is Jake, and I'm once again joined by my friend Adam. Adam, we're back.

unknown

We're back.

SPEAKER_01

We're back. We're back. Oh my goodness. Oh my goodness. It's good to be back. What a hiatus, man. What a hiatus. I told I told uh in all fairness, it's been Adam who's been, you know, the one the one that wanted to get us back and everything. Uh he's been the real leader. Leader here.

SPEAKER_00

I don't know about all that.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, I mean it. We are missing a familiar face. Our boy Jordan. Uh well, he just couldn't do it.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. He's the babe. He's got a big thing. Yeah, we'll pretend he's a part of this thing moving forward, and we'll probably move on with our lives. I mean, let's go.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, let's be honest. He wasn't that big of a deal. Like come on.

SPEAKER_00

He's okay.

SPEAKER_01

So cool guy, but I'm ready to move on. But I'm ready to move on. Adam, we missed an entire year of football. We did. Number one storyline from last year's fantasy football season. What do you think?

SPEAKER_00

Um the value of Bow Nicks and anyone that was effective on the Broncos. I mean, it's been a year. I haven't been able to talk about Denver.

SPEAKER_01

So it's do you remember when he completely ruined? Do you remember when he completely ruined your chances at a Super Bowl?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that was sad. You know, I'm glad that we weren't on the pod for that moment, but also pretty bummed because the Broncos haven't had a year like that since Bait Manning. So, you know, not fantasy related, but ultimately.

SPEAKER_01

And they probably won't.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. I think the storyline was the horrendousness that was big name receivers like Jamar Chase and you know, Justin Jets. They had issues with quarterbacks.

SPEAKER_01

And we're gonna talk about that considering Adam. I'm looking at my sheet sheet here, and I don't have Jalen Waddell on here. So we're gonna have to talk about that. I'm sure you won't let me forget.

SPEAKER_00

So no, that's coming up on the show. I can't wait to buy his jersey and wear it when I when I eventually get it.

SPEAKER_01

Oh yeah. Um, all right, why don't we get into it? So we're gonna do things for anyone who's been here a while. Uh we'll aiming to have the episodes be about 30 minutes, you know, quick little snippets, but we're not gonna hold it to it if it goes longer. Um, Adam, first things first, we have a listener question. Uh, if you want your question to be possibly beyond the episode, go to speakpipe.com forward slash speakpipe. I'm sorry, next step ff. Um yeah, that's how you do it. Uh you just record your you just record your thing and your question, and then it pops right up for us, and then we decide to uh we pick the best ones. Believe it or not, Adam, we had two whole questions to pick from this year or this time.

SPEAKER_00

Hey, that's good. Hey, I love community involvement, love getting the listeners involved. Let's let's get get started with it.

SPEAKER_01

All right, should we I hope you guys can hear this. If you can't say something, let me know. We're working out the kinks. We are live on Facebook. I forgot to mention that. If you're listening on the uh on and wherever you listen to your podcast, um we're live on Facebook. It is Thursday, so we'll be doing that these on Thursday. So come on over, next stepfantasyfootball.com. You know, I I think I'm nervous. It is not next stepfantasyfootball.com. We don't have that. But we are on next yet.

SPEAKER_00

We'll get the interns on it.

SPEAKER_01

We'll get we'll get Jordan on it. That's what he'll do in the final. All right. This is from it says next step's number one fan. Here we go.

SPEAKER_02

I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

Can't confirm. Can't confirm. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I don't know if he was alive still, but hey, that's good.

SPEAKER_01

It's good to see him. Um Justin Jefferson. So he must have sent this before Kyler signed. So I guess now's a great time. We'll just talk about Kyler Murray. Uh went and signed with the Minnesota Vikings. I'm assuming to start, right?

SPEAKER_00

Oh, yeah, for sure. If they start JG McCarthy over him, I'd be shocked.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah. So let's do the Justin Jefferson part of it first. Are we back in on him?

SPEAKER_00

100%. I've got a lot of hot takes about Kyler Murray. Um, I think just the fact that Kevin O'Connell is a quarterback guru, if you will. Um, I think that's gonna immediately put the value on Justin Jets way up, way higher. I think he's back. I think he has close to a career year next year. If Kyler Murray can that's I'm high on this signing with Kyler, man. I I think it's gonna be big for the NFC North for the for the value of the Vikings weapons, Jordan Anderson as well. Um, but also ultimately I think Justin Jets is gonna have a rebirth, if you will, a renaissance of his talent in Minnesota, and I think that he's a very high value moving forward.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I I think, yeah, I I great. We're gonna agree to start. I think it's gonna be really good for him. Um probably I would assume I don't have it right here. I assume he has what a second round ADP right now. Um, I would imagine that probably went up a little bit with Kyler, but if he sticks around with a second round ADP, probably on the turn, right? Jake. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

You're freezing a little bit, Jake.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, well, that's certainly possible. It could just be the live if that's if that's the case, we're gonna keep her moving. Technical difficulties. There's always technical difficulties. On my end, the whole thing's just buffering. It whatever. We gotta keep the podcast moving.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, this is wild. I mean, usually it's me, but I have perfect internet.

SPEAKER_01

I don't think so. I think it might be you. Um, regardless. So uh well, you see, you got me losing my train of thought. Um if it's on the flip side, like on the turn, I love him there. If you can get him, if you go wide receiver, wide receiver, and you get him as your second wide second wide receiver, I would feel fantastic. And then in regards to Kyler, I think that he could do really well. I like Kyler Murray. I really I always have. Um, but we can get more into him later. But for Justin Jefferson, I think it is a very good thing. Uh Adam, let us move on. So we're gonna be talking free agent signings. They happened a few weeks ago. We're gonna get through probably as many as we can right now.

SPEAKER_00

Um guys are gonna have to talk about that later.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, so a lot of guys just re-signed. So I'm gonna just hit you with a bunch here. Ready? Daniel Jones re-signs with the Colts. I think that's great. That's great for everybody.

SPEAKER_00

Would you agree? Yeah, I just have an issue.

SPEAKER_01

I I I finish this quarterback 17 even after getting hurt.

SPEAKER_00

Yep, I gotta stop you though, man. He quarterbacks of Torn Achilles. I know he's younger yet, but dude, he's he worries me. He's Daniel Jones. He had a flash in the pan moment with uh a good organization right now on the up and up, in my opinion. However, he's made tons of money being a mediocre quarterback. Good for him. That's just wild to me. Good for him. But ultimately, as far as fantasy value goes, um, you know, it's fine. I I don't know that he'll be ready week one. I really don't. Um, great. But his escape ability is what makes him dynamic. He's got a big arm outside the pocket. Um, I don't know. It's a fine signing. I think it's a safe signing, but didn't they sign someone else uh as far as insurance?

SPEAKER_01

I don't know. If they did, even if they did, I mean, if even if he doesn't start week one, I don't think you're drafting him really. I mean, maybe as your backup, but you're not gonna start Daniel Jones. For sure. Uh Aaron Rodgers stays unsigned. Do you think he comes back? Absolutely. All the signs point to the Mike McCarthy, Aaron Rodgers, and Pittsburgh.

SPEAKER_00

Oh man, maybe maybe they got one more run in them. I don't know. I think that anytime Aaron Rodgers is on the field, but I'm just saying they might have a they might have a realistic shot. I don't think value-wise for fantasy, Aaron Rodgers is that exciting anymore. Um he is what it is, probably a backup quarterback again.

SPEAKER_01

Uh Geno Smith gets traded from the Vegas back to the New York Jets, full circle. Yeah, that's all gross.

SPEAKER_00

Boring, boring, just I mean, great. Good for Gino. I hope he does well. Um next.

SPEAKER_01

Next. Uh and then we got Malik Willis signs with uh the Miami Dolphins.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, he does. Um, you know, I I think it's good for him again. You know, he he probably didn't know what a mess he was walking into. Um fantasy-wise, I think he's great, dynamic. They'll probably do read option with him because why not? Um, so he's got the upside with his legs and the touchdown runs that'll come with it, but ultimately he is their offense right now, besides Devon Ainch.

SPEAKER_01

Bad for him.

SPEAKER_00

I don't. He made$40 million guarantee. I know, but um, and then they just go and trade wise.

SPEAKER_01

Come on.

SPEAKER_00

And then they just go and trade water. Don't you worry, we'll get to that.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I think it's worth a flyer.

SPEAKER_00

I hope. Yeah, just because it was running. I think he's got the value at the touchdown upside of his legs, you know.

SPEAKER_01

I think he's definitely worth a flyer as um at the back half of your draft. Like, if you want to take him as your backup just to see what happens. Like, I would much rather draft Malik Willis with the as my backup quarterback in round 15 and then see if the first four weeks if it if it just hits really well.

SPEAKER_00

You know, because I would take him over Aaron Rodgers, I'd take him over Daniel Jones. Um Gino. Daniel Jones. All right. Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Malik Willis or Kyler.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, Kyler. Easy.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I'm taking Kyler with because of the uh the the weapons. But I think the Kevin McConnell factor. Yeah, and I think the ceiling, though, I mean, who knows? Willis could be really good. It's the it's what you don't know, it's what is intriguing, right?

SPEAKER_00

All right. You remember back in the draft, people people thought Willis might be a first or second round pick at one point in his collegiate career. So, I mean, who knows?

SPEAKER_01

And then he it was the Kenny Pickett draft, I believe. If I off the top of my head, I could be wrong there, but I loved him out of liberty. Yes, sir. Okay. Uh let's talk running backs. Um, let's talk running backs that re-signed with their original team. We'll start with the one we care most about, of course. J.K. Dobbins re-signs with the Broncos. You give you get 15 seconds. Go.

SPEAKER_00

15 seconds. If he stays healthy, it's a great signing. He was trending for the league rusher um leader for yards. Um, touchdowns not so much, so fancy value is not great. I'm just saying fancy value not great, but I like the signing if he's healthy. I think he's a top five running back. I really do.

SPEAKER_01

You are shut up.

SPEAKER_00

I'm not listening to five running back. Listen, for all the listeners that forgot, I am incredibly biased to the Denver Broncos organization, and I will stand and die on this hill. If he is healthy, he's a top five running back. You can book it.

SPEAKER_01

My first book it often in fantasy no Jordan, I'm the one who has to have a lot of things.

SPEAKER_00

Fantasy and top five in the league, man, if he's healthy the entire season. That is just disgusting.

SPEAKER_01

Alright. I even capitalized the whole thing. Yeah, that's just awful. Well, that's not gonna happen. But um, all right, Brees Hall. Oh, I oh, I should say about Dobbins. It's very meh for me. I had him in fantasy this past year, and I mean, yeah, he's fine because they do give him the ball.

unknown

They do.

SPEAKER_01

They do give uh they do give Denver definitely runs a lot. Um, but like he was alright, like he wasn't bad at all. I mean, he finished what he was running back 40, but he was hurt a lot in that, so that'd be quite the jump for him. Uh running back 18 of the year, Brees Hall resigns with the Jets. Uh, I think it's fine. Like it's just it's just the status quo, is my thought on that.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, status quo. I feel bad for him. I mean, I if I were him, obviously I'd like to get out of New York. I think their line is actually sneaky good, though. I read that today. Um, that their line is good. Geno's going to a better line. Um, Brees Hall's got a decent line. I mean, he again, there's a guy that's their offense besides Garrett Wilson, and um, you know, he's gonna get a lot of touches, they have to uh because Geno Smith's a play action quarterback.

SPEAKER_01

So um I mean with the terrible quarterback play, with the terrible quarterback play, and they still were able to he was still able to be a running back too.

SPEAKER_00

Yep. I think Imagine the check downs with Geno Smith on the screens and all that.

SPEAKER_01

Do you think he outproduces running back 18?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah, I think he does. I I think he's got too he's kind of on a prove it yeah, prove it season. I mean, he's so I I think he'll be top 10 if he's if he's used the right way.

SPEAKER_01

Uh Javante Williams re-signs with the Broncos, or not the Broncos, his former team, with the Cowboys for this. This just made me happy. I was like, good for him.

SPEAKER_00

Good for him with all he went through. I mean, he he just was hurt in Denver and he never had the burst back until last year. He got that burst back, which I was excited about for Denver when they had him. But um I good for him. Running back 11. I don't think he's yeah, I don't think he can replicate what he did last year. I just yeah, I think he'd be overdrafted this year. For sure. He's people are gonna reach on him. I would caution that. But would you would you rather have Brees Hall? Oh, yeah, for sure. Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Um just the upside, you know. Just the yeah, that's what it is. I mean, they probably each have the same floor, but the upside on Brees Hall is a lot higher. Uh all right, let's get to some people who have moved. Rico Dowdle, who coming off his second straight 1,000 yard season, goes and signs with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Can you give me a sad face emoji or something? That is just such a bummer. It's just such a bummer. Like he was you were hoping he'd go somewhere with more of an opportunity, but what is he just gonna play second fiddle to Jalen Warren? I think that whole backfield is just a disaster now.

SPEAKER_00

Listen, I here's what's Jalen Warren. Listen, I I and it kills Jalen Warren. I I think that he could be the number one like after week four. So don't reach on him, but ultimately he killed Chuba Hubbard, and I know firsthand. Um, so he he can kill anyone who's in front of him as far as fantasy value. So, you know, good for the Steelers. I think their backfield's gonna be a lot of share, you know, share the the wealth, share the load, but you know, it's it's a fine signing fantasy-wise, don't reach on him. He could be great. Boomer bust pick for sure.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I would rather, I think in drafting, I would assume that Dowdle Dowdle will be behind Warren, right? And I would rather wait the extra rounds and take Dowdle than reach for Warren, if that makes sense.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, Warren's not flashy. He's not a guy that I'm pinging my hat on to be the fancy stud, and maybe I'll eat my words here.

SPEAKER_01

But Travis Etienne signs with the Saints, finishes running back 10. Is this a timeshare, or does this just kill Alvin Kamara?

SPEAKER_00

I have to stop you right there. First off, it's Travis A. Chain, apparently. Oh, that's right. That's right. After all these years. And I heard a podcaster say, I think it was Kyle Brandt. He was like, you know, if if you have people mispronounce your name, you're gonna be upset. I don't care. Let people know back in college, man. Just please. He chose not to say anything. That's why I'm upset. I you know, I think he's gonna be fine. I don't think he kills Alvin Kamara, but Alvin Kamara is obviously in the twilight of his career, which is wild to say.

SPEAKER_01

Do you think Camara's on the team at the start of the year? For sure.

SPEAKER_00

I think he's such a he's such a he's the name, you know. I mean, it's like Randy Mott's at the end of his career. You want him on your team.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, he's doesn't sound like you're gonna be drafting much ETN.

SPEAKER_00

No, or Kamara for that matter.

SPEAKER_01

But it's how about then how about the big signing? Kenneth Walker goes to the Chiefs. Oh, let me go first. I love it. I love it, I love it. Let me gather myself.

SPEAKER_00

You love it.

SPEAKER_01

I love it. His ADP is probably just skyrocketed. I second round, probably, third round. And then once he I think he's a great pick, especially once Mahomes comes back, assuming he doesn't start the year. Um but yeah, I mean that playoff run winning the Super Bowl was great. He finishes running back 22. I think we're top 10, maybe top seven. I really like him. Assuming he can stay healthy, of course.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, he's my boy. I I I will be an unbiased take here, and then I will go biased, okay? Um, the unbiased take is remember a few years back, like three years ago, I said he'd be the league leader in touchdown rushes, yeah, or rushing touchdowns. And he was. I mean, he's he's a stud. Uh, but he's just bizarre, and obviously with Charbonneau there, they had, or Charbonnet, whatever you want to say. Um, you know, he he he lost value. He he did, but um the Super Bowl showed what he's capable of still. He's a still young running back, Chiefs organization. I gotta give to him Andy Reid. Great guy, great coach. Here's my bias take. The Broncos are gonna mess him up, so don't take.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, okay. Wait, who's gonna mess? Oh, oh, you mean their defense is gonna mess them up? Yeah, defense is gonna mess mess Kenneth Walker up in a while. That's terrible. Terrible. Uh, and like I mentioned, we are live on Facebook if you ever want to hang out with us on Thursdays, and then we will get more into this, these guys, as the offseason begins. We're just trying to jump through a whole bunch of players right now. Moving on to the tight ends for some reason. That's how I had it. Uh Dallas Goddard resigns with the Eagles. Fine. Great. He's a nice streaming tight end. Uh Kevin or Kyle Pitts got franchise tagged. He's still with the the uh the Falcons, and he finishes tight end two, which was nuts. Um great, good for him. He can repeat that. Why not? Right? Yeah, which is another example though, of I know, but he's gonna be another example of tight ends that get drafted early, and we on this podcast are not fans of that.

SPEAKER_00

Not a fan, and who's his quarterback? You don't know. No one knows who his quarterback's gonna be. Is it Tua? Is it Tua who, if I'm being blunt, doesn't know what day it is, it seems sometimes.

SPEAKER_01

I've mentioned that I believe his brain is scrambled eggs.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, and I I love the guy, hopefully he's healthy. But ultimately, uh Michael Penix, are they gonna roll with him? The GM that drafted Penix is gone, it could be an Anthony Richardson situation loading there for him. Um, but I I I if Tua's there, I actually like Kyle Pitts a lot better. His value goes up more because Tua is a high completion percentage quarterback for sure. You know, Penix is a letter rip kind of guy, and then Pitts turned it on when Cousins went in there and was a high completion quarterback. So yeah, um, if if you love Kyle Pitts, you better hope Tua wins that job, in my opinion.

SPEAKER_01

All right, and then uh the other big one we got is Isaiah Likely signed with the signs with the Giants. He finished tight end at 44. I love I great. I I will take a stab at him at 44. Um or from like he whenever he played with Noah Mark Andrews, he seemed to always produce. He was hurt pretty much all of last year. So give me a random late round tight end. Give me Isaiah Likely. I'd rather draft Isaiah Likely in round 11 than Kyle Pitts in round three. So all right, let's get these receivers 100%.

SPEAKER_00

Agree with that. I mean, you guys with what you know, right? That yeah, well for us, that's enough of tight ends. Where's our boy, uh Tommy Tremble?

SPEAKER_01

Oh, he's low. He's low. Yeah, um moving on. All right, tight ends. Uh just some guys, some uh former 49ers who are not signed. Juwan Jennings, which I'm surprised that he is still currently not signed. Debo Samuel, not signed. Debo's a little older. I don't know why people hate on Juwan. Good old Jawan. Get that boy out, get that guy on a team. Not for fantasy purposes.

SPEAKER_00

If Wendell Robinson, if Wendell Robinson can be on the team, I don't see why Jennings can't. I think they're very much similar. Correct.

SPEAKER_01

Why don't we start with one Wandell quietly wide receiver 16 on the year? Which is shocking to me. Uh signs with the Titans. Uh for me is about the biggest Titan move ever. Of course, you're gonna sign Wandell Robinson to a boatload of. Four years, 72 million. Oh, yeah. Um I don't think this is gonna rep uh happen again. I don't think we're finishing as a wide receiver 16. I think it does. Oh, okay. I think Jackson Dart did a lot of I think he Robinson really benefited from no neighbors this past year. And I will and go, you know, going to Tennessee, where I guess technically there is not much, yeah. They got they got uh Dable there now.

SPEAKER_00

He's reunited. If he's a system guy, he's reunited with his old head coach Brian Dabble, um, who's now the OC there. So Dable, whatever. So do you think that's that's important at all?

SPEAKER_01

Is he a wide receiver too this upcoming year?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

You don't feel good about drafting him as your wide receiver too.

SPEAKER_00

I no, it's not like a 100% confidence, I would say like 80% confidence rating of like he can do it if Cam Ward progresses. But if I I think a lot of this, I say this every time I'm on the show, depended on your quarterback play. And Cam Ward, maybe maybe they're gonna get something out of him.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, fine, fine, okay. Um moving on uh to to Jacoby Myers, re-signed with the Jags. He finishes wide receiver 35. I think that's I think he's a wide receiver three, right?

SPEAKER_00

And who can have some wide receiver numbers? Three or four, man. I am off the Myers train for a long time here. I don't know how this guy keeps getting the love that he gets in the national. Because he plays well. At times, sure. But then there's other times he goes ghost mode and it's like you forget he's even a player on the team.

SPEAKER_01

I mean finishes wide receiver 30 after being traded mid-year. So I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I mean, better quarterback, better system, but ultimately, you know, I I gotta see it twice to to get my my belief.

SPEAKER_01

Um who's oh George Pickens, who is wide receiver five this past year, was franchise tagged with the uh Dallas Cowboys. Um I think that's great for him. Oh, yeah. I think, at least for fantasy. Um, who do you would you rather have? Would you rather have look at it? We can hear you typing. I I'm gonna do it. I'm not gonna forget. Uh who would you rather have? Because they're gonna be drafted first and second round. So which one do you want? If you have to draft CD in the first, or you can take Pickens in the second.

SPEAKER_00

I'm taking Pickens in the second. I think that they kind of even out like you know, perfectly balanced as all things should be for you Marvel fans out there. Um, but but I just you know I it's a horse piece. I I think CD's ceiling's higher. Um, I think their floor is similar, so you're gonna get a good player either way. But I think if you can wait until second round or third round for pickings, do it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, great. Uh oh, I don't want to miss any here. Michael Pittman traded to the Steelers after the Alec Pierce sign signing. So let's actually talk about the Alec Pierce signing. Mate, huge signing. I mean, four years, 116. They went all in. Which I fine. All in on him. I mean, he's wide receiver 24, so they were clearly high on him. They now they're gonna be looking for more targets with no Pittman. I'm not quite sure who the wide receiver two is there right now, off the top of my head. Um, yeah, I it's a good signing for him. Fantasy-wise, um, we'll figure it out a little later, but I think it's good that he stayed. It's good for Daniel Jones, it's just good for the whole offense. Uh Pittman going to the Steelers. Yeah, of course. And Pittman going to the Steelers. Um go opposite of uh DK Metcalf. Great. I mean, he's like a perfect wide receiver too on an on an offense.

SPEAKER_00

Um, again, I think Rogers is coming back, but who's the quarterback?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, if it is him, Aaron Rodgers, I think that he can be a wide receiver two, wide receiver three, somewhere in there, even with DK there. Um, but who knows where the quarterback is, so it's kind of hard to make that judgment now. Uh, your Green Bay Packers lost Romeo Dobbs to the to the New England Patriots for a massive contract. Oh, look at him. He's sipping from his Packers Cup. Uh it's an overpay. It really was. I mean, as someone who we watched, we watched. I'm so happy that we're gonna go after yeah, we watched a lot of uh Romeo Dobbs. He's just good at everything, which is fine. But he's one of those guys, in my opinion, that you'd rather have as a what as your second wide receiver. He's not a difference maker in any thing out there. So it's fine for them. Decent for fantasy. I think he could be a wide receiver two, wide receiver three. But if I had to guess, he'd be a wide receiver three versus a wide receiver two.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I think it'd be like I think it does. His value goes up, Drake Mays, anyway, a little bit, but Dobbs is fine. Like you said, he's a touchdown machine at times, but then again, he goes ghost mode for weeks and doesn't do much. So yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Um, all right, and then Jalen Waddell traded from the Dolphins to the Broncos. Go ahead.

SPEAKER_00

All right, perfect. No time cap either. Um, Jake, this is a monumental shifting of the powers of the AFC, shifting of the value of every receiver on the Denver Broncos. I think he only helps them. I think he helps Evan Ingram, who they're rolling with tight end one again. Um, everything helps for fantasy. Bonix's fantasy value goes up, Cortland Sutton's fantasy value goes up. Jalen Waddell is gonna be a stud in Denver in that system with Davis Webb calling the plays and Sean Payton's Overwatch. Um, here's another book hit for you.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, geez.

SPEAKER_00

If he stays healthy the whole year, because I know that's on your mind, he's he's hurt. That was one of the first things you texted me, buddy, when this trade went down. Um, I think he's a top five wide receiver in fantasy. Let me write it. Top five running back and a top five receiver. That's insane for Denver, but I think that's a good one. What an offense. It's gonna be great. I think their offense is gonna be exciting again. I think they're gonna have a top ten offense in the league.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Is that biased? Of course it is. Of course it is.

I think I think it's fine. That's my thought. I just don't believe he stays healthy. I was reading something that, like, even when he doesn't miss a game, he still like last year he like exited a game like seven times or something like that. He came back. I just don't know if he stays healthy. I I thought they overpaid. I don't know, I don't have a problem with it in fantasy.

SPEAKER_00

But the upside, the the ceiling, the ceiling is there, like fantasy-wise. I don't really have a problem with it. He's a guy that can take a fiber slant to the house.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I don't really have a problem with it, I guess, fantasy-wise. I think it's good fantasy-wise. I think I have more of a problem with just how much they paid, like the football side of things. Like, I would have rather have just sent and got AJ Brown.

SPEAKER_00

No one will care. That's true.

SPEAKER_01

I would have rather had AJ Brown.

SPEAKER_00

Nah, no way. He's a head. Oh, yeah. Like he's not like football guys that are gonna like be normal locker room guys. You know I'm big on the locker room guys, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Um, all right, and then we did miss one on accident. Uh Mike Evans left the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and he is now a 49er.

SPEAKER_00

What do you think of that? This gives me shades of Randy Moss, man. This this gives me shades of Randy Moss. Not as good as Randy, but he's gonna excel.

SPEAKER_01

It's gonna be good.

SPEAKER_00

Decent fantasy year in the tank. You get a reliable guy if he stays healthy. I said that a lot today. Um, but Brock Purdy's throwing him the ball. They're gonna get him high value targets, and um, you know, their offense is so share the ball like through the passing game. So he'll he'll be fine. Don't don't reach on a name ever, like just because they were great once. Don't ever be that guy.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, you can definitely probably let someone else reach on the name. But if it falls to you, yeah, I like it. I think that it helps Brock Purdy. I think it's gonna be great.

SPEAKER_00

I think wide receiver three or four in fantasy, and that's fine.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, I think he can easily be wide receiver two weekly. Weekly. Oh, we're gonna talk more about that, I guess. But yeah, I think does he hit a thousand yards? That's the question. Right. I I I don't think he does. I think it's over. I think he could. Well, it is over after last year, but yeah. All right, so there we have all a bunch of the free agent moves. Um, like I've mentioned, we're gonna get more into these as the weeks come on. We're gonna be doing the the breakdowns, all that sort of stuff. Um, but after this episode, we'll be moving into the draft, which is just about a month away. So um Adam crazy time flies. Adam, it has been great to be back. We will be back Thursday.

SPEAKER_00

Awesome to be back. I got a quick story. Oh, yeah, go ahead. Quick story. So I was on the I was on the treadmill treadmill today, and they have this like weird video that was videotaped to like a long time ago by Life Fitness. Yeah, and there's a guy in the video today because the track I was on was in Seattle, and this guy had a Seneca Wallace jersey on. Oh, that's Seneca. Seattle. It was the Seattle.

SPEAKER_01

Was Seattle Seneca Wallace?

SPEAKER_00

People thought he'd be like the starter in Seattle for a little while, and I just laughed because I'm like, I gotta mention that. But but anyway, just a box.

SPEAKER_01

Uh I was at the Packer game that Aaron Rodgers got hurt and Seneca Wallace came in. What a disaster! That was tough. That was yeah, that was that was wonderful. All right, Adam, we'll be back next Thursday. It's gonna be great. I'm so happy to be back. We got weekly episodes, everything's mapped out. It's so exciting. Adam, do you have anything else you want to say? Baby. We back, baby.

SPEAKER_00

Uh, I do. It's been a while. Go Broncos, go twins, and I am no longer at Black River Falls, so I'm at Lakeland. Go Thunderbirds.

SPEAKER_01

All right. Until next week, take care, be good.
