A Discussion on Misogyny and 'Himpathy' with Dr Kate Manne
•
Right to Equality, Dr Charlotte Proudman
In this episode, Dr Charlotte Proudman discusses misogyny and 'himpathy' with noted feminist academic Dr Kate Manne! She is the author of three books: Down Girl: The Logic of Misogyny, Entitled: How Male Privilege Hurts Women, and coming soon, Unshrinking: How to Face Fatphobia.
Today's discussion explored how 'himpathy' (a term coined by Dr Kate Manne) and misogyny are often present in societal and interpersonal ways. Additionally, the exploration of entitlement was explored in how it can be a lens used to change our worldview. We're so thrilled that Dr Kate Manne joined us this week, and we look forward to speaking with her on future podcasts!
