In episode 1 of a new mini-series "Spotlight on the Violence Against Women and Girls Sector," our host Lucy Hayton discusses advocating for victims with Nogah Ofer from the Centre for Women's Justice. Nogah has been a solicitor for 25 years specialising in human rights law, in particular civil law on holding the police and other criminal justice agencies to account in cases involving failure to protect or investigate VAWG. She has also been a volunteer on several helplines including Rape Crisis, National Domestic Abuse Helpline, and providing free legal advice in cases of sexual harassment in the workplace. Nogah and Lucy discuss campaigning for legal reform for victims of gender-based violence as well as navigating a career in a challenging sector.
