Renee Jones Empowerment Center's Global Initiative
The Global Initiative was developed to share innovative ideas on how RJEC's treatment and outreach models can be used to fight the crime of human trafficking globally through teamwork, technology connections- webinars, conferences, virtual classrooms. Additionally, this initiative helps to provide professional development opportunities for organizations, medical schools, etc to join forces and work to combat human trafficking worldwide. Listeners will meet Lisa Purdy, President & CEO- Council of International Programs and learn about their mission, programs and unique Partnership with RJEC, including details on the internship opportunities with RJEC being offered to other countries by the Council of International Programs. Lisa has worked at Council of International Programs USA (CIPUSA) since 1997. Under her leadership, CIPUSA has grown to an organization with five affiliate offices around the country that creates professional training opportunities and programs for over 300 people annually from countries around the world.
