In this episode, we’re joined by Dr. Susan Greenwood — anthropologist, author, and shamanic practitioner — to explore the nature of magical consciousness and the power of imagination as a gateway to altered states and non-ordinary reality.

Dr. Greenwood shares from decades of fieldwork with British witches, druids, and shamans, as well as insights from her collaborative work with neuroscientist Erik Goodwyn. We also discuss her evolving research on William Blake and the power of storytelling to convey multidimensional experience.
Dr. Susan Greenwood is the author of The Anthropology of Magic, Developing Magical Consciousness, and Magical Consciousness: An Anthropological and Neurobiological Approach. She was previously a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Sussex and continues to pioneer new frameworks for understanding spiritual experience through lived knowledge.
