Being a Commanding Emcee. KARL'S OUTLINE:

.Start with BANG – It’s a Horse Race not a Locomotive

.BE RELATIONAL – your job starts before you ever take the stage.

.Assume they know nothing – explain without assumptions.

.Be expressive, excited, Exaggerate Voice and Gestures –

.Set the Tone – you are the thermostat, not the thermometer.

.Play the EYE BALL GAME – look at every child.

.Use humor – verbal and physical – don’t take yourself too seriously.

.ROLL with Distractions – things will go wrong, don’t let it spoil the spirit of the service.

.Get off stage – move out among the kids. Be a moving target.

.Keep it MOVING. Don’t beat a dead horse.

.Don’t announce – Just DO it.
