Ep 25 | Here's to the Young Lady

1949, Japan is reeling from it's role in WWII, and a director turns his lens on a woman who would later become an icon: Setsuko Hara. Here's to the Young Lady is a more obscure film that mirrors Gone with the Wind as a "country bumpkin" romances a class act who's wealthy family has fallen on harder times. It's a nice time capsule, though the Nice Guy (TM) is strong in this one.
