Wow. But I don't know who's coming in. I have no idea. But uh anyhow, Graham, like we always do, how was your weekend?

Weekend was good, you know, something that uh your boy hasn't said in a long, long time. Your boy was at work and it was nice.

You know, hey, like I said, work, caught up a little bit on uh, you know, what's going on with uh the players, and other than that, chilling. Not much going on besides that. What about you, brother? How was your weekend so far?

Did a solid weekend. Stayed down at the club at the beach with some members Friday night, had a little dinner party with a bunch of people from the club, and then had a big party last night at the club and catching up on golf the whole time. World baseball classic, watching sports, you know, stressing out over bets, and it was a good time, you know. It was a great weekend. Uh Ava got into JMU, she found out today. Oh. Now it's like, what are we gonna do here? Yeah. So, you know, I I still financially wise, I hope she goes to JMU because it's in state. But right?

Had a rough Saturday, played good Thursday, played good Friday, had a rough Saturday. You know, anybody that watched the tournament saw the roof was five to six inches long. Yeah. And the greens were brown.

Not because they were dead, but because they were crusty. And for people that don't know, TPC saw grass, the stadium course. Okay, there's 18 holes of golf, right? In a tournament. I've heard that, yeah. 18 of those holes all have penalty areas.

There's a big number waiting on every hole. Yeah. And if you don't, believe me, ask Thor Borrington when he made eight in the final pairing on the whatever fourth hole. Yeah. Brutal. Brutal. But uh anyhow. Oh, dude, two outs, top of the ninth. Oh, trains up.

Oh no, we're we will, we will, we will. Yeah, we're about to get into that. I mean, I mean, it was it was the players is always drama, right? Always.

Like they call it the fifth, the fifth major. Right? It's the fifth major. Ludvig, dude, clearly in control of his golf swing and control of his game. Dude, my guy goes out and shoots a course record 29 on the front nine on Friday on the front. Yeah. Uh three birdies and two Eagles. Is that any good? So anybody going out, and I'm just gonna say this before I get into anything else. I mean, Ludvig is such a talent and so young, okay? Yeah. People forget my guy played in a rider cup before he played in a major tournament. Insane.

To understand that concept, that yeah, exactly.

Think about that. He played in a rider cup as a captain's pick before he played in a major tournament. And then people also forget his very first masters? Uh second place. And was tied with Scheffler going into the 11th hole on the back nine on Sunday and hit that ball in the water.

Right now. 10 to 1. I mean, dude, what's not to like about the guy? Number one, I saw a tweet today that said, in a world of Patrick Cantley's, who's the slowest player in the world, Bia Ludvig, who's the fastest player in the world, literally almost pissed myself. Am I wrong? I'm not.

Dude, it was just, it was brutal. I mean, the guy just he he striped drive on number 11, and then out of nowhere, blocked party USA hit it in the water, made bogey on a par five, then the next hole, 12, snappied, dappied it in the water, makes dub. I mean, it's golf, right? We always talk about it. It's not easy. Yeah.

I get that, but you know, I was at work, so I didn't see it live, but I watched a replay, and for someone who's been consistent, even that round as of today, and what he's done the last three days, for him to pull off, I don't want to say pull off, but like, look, golf's hard. Anything can happen. I mean, like, the fluidity of the swing. If you do something wrong, or you know, just move a shoulder or whatever. Like, I'm looking at those swings and I'm like, whoa. Where are you going, broke?

And and yesterday, I mean, he started off with the league kind of shaky in the last group. Bogey number four, then he birdied nine to shoot even on the front. Then he made an eagle on eleven. Bogie's 18, shoots one under. Oh, Miller is in. Let's go. Oh boy. Here we go. Bottom nine. Uh it was tough to watch, you know, because we obviously have a rooting interest with Scavi on the bag.

Uh, especially with Scavi hooking my one of my lessons up and her family that were down in the area with tickets on Friday.

You know? Yeah, it was sick. I I literally texted her last night. I'm like, hey, if Ludwig wins, you you realize you're the good luck charm, right? Because he got you tickets this week. She was dying. I was loving it, right? Of course you'd play that card. Come on, guy. Membership relations. Let's go. I mean, come on. But dude, dude, the real story for me, and people that have listened to us for a while know my man crush on Cameo.

Right. I guaranteed him to make the Ryder Cup last year as a captain's pick. Not a, I mean, at the time, yeah, it was a it was out of the air, but when he fit the way he finished, not really a bold statement. Yeah. The guy, if you listen to the podcast with Heineke on it, we were talking about Cameo. Yeah. He's my favorite swing on tour. And the guy is just ridiculous. I I I mean, I I I don't his dad's a PGA professional like myself. That has a little bit to do with it. You know, how do you you know there's one out, let's go. Let's go. That hits home with me. I love his golf swing. I love that he never shows a lot of emotion. And people are blasting him right now online for not showing a lot of emotion.

Well, not even that. He just what caught me off guard was one of the questions was just basically like, you know, now that you got this win, because by the way, folks, this is only his second win. His first win was last year at the last year. And you know, they're asking about his game, and he's just like, look, guys, he's like, I I don't want I don't want to say this incorrectly, but he's like, I don't set goals. And I know that's like the opposite of what you want to say, but the way he explained it was he's like, Look, it's not like I'm going out there or before the start of the season where I'm just saying to myself, hey, I'm trying to win.

I'm trying, I'm trying to win this tournament, I'm trying to do this, I'm trying to place here or place there. And he just basically said something that I thought was uh how do I say this? Like very raw in the sense that he's just like, Look, yes, do I have expectations for myself? Yes. Do I do I spend all the time to go out there and practice and make myself better? Which, by the way, he has done. I mean, his putting this year compared to what it was in the years past, significantly better. And look, you can't win on the PGA tour if you can't, you know, use the flat stick. You just can't do it.

But Cam Young basically said he's just like, look, there's so many guys that are good here. Like he basically made it sound like it's a crapshoot. Just stay on your game, practice what you need to practice, do well, and give yourself a chance. It's not like how we always, you know, talk about Tiger where it's just like the straight focused mindset where I'm trying to win every week. I'm not saying that's not what he's not saying. I'm just saying the way he said it was just like, yeah, as long as I work on my game and I do this, this, and this, we'll see what happens.

And I'll tell you, he hung in there today, dude. Oh he goes out, birdie's the first hole, throws a dart, makes it, okay, bogey six. Guy didn't birdie a par five today.

That's surprising. You know, crazy. You got a whole shots, obviously, to make birdies, but I mean, shoots 100 on the front, then he birdies 10. Then he birties 13. But before he birdied 13, that's when Ludwig's hiccups happened. Yeah. And dude, it got tight, but the shot, he hit two shots. Some some were gonna say the sand wedge he hit on 17 was the best shot. As a golfer, as somebody that knows how tough 18 at sawgrass is, uh, to stand up, sack up, and hit a T-shot 375. Just with tied for the lead. Just, I mean, straight gas, 375. Oh my god, a wild pitch. Now we got the time run on second. Oh my god.

Oh, dude, you might have to pause it for two seconds because I'm like, it's like every time you say it, I'm like, it hasn't happened yet. Dude, yeah, Cam Young's drive on 18 was nasty. The fact that he's going over water, he's going over the bunker that goes the you know, that long bunker that goes up it. I mean, he just hit like a little baby draw that just kept going as the fairway was going, and he landed it perfectly, and it ran what 30, 40 yards off the land, and it was just like just look, just it was perfect.

I didn't even think about that. And you know, when it got to 17 and Cam stuffed it, the crowd like instantly switched like I was a rider cup chan USA, USA. Yeah. Dude, it and it was sick, man. Let's go strike two. But dude, the guy is incredible. I mean, he had titles make him a new golf ball because he spins the ball more than anybody out there. There's a left dash, there's a left dot. They had him make the customized ball double left dot. Wow. I mean, the guy just hits gas. When he hit that shot on his second shot on 16. Oh, there's three out or two outs. Uh, and he plugged it in the bunker. I was like, oh, dude. But Fitzpatrick hooked it in the shit, had to lay up. I was like, oh man. Huge par, dude, on on 16, the par five.

But dude, I don't know. I mean, everybody knows I have a man crush on him. I did make a little wager on him, you know, players five bucks, 33 to 1, 31 to 1, whatever, a little 160.

Yeah. I was at one point talking to BT and like, dude, do I hedge this at some point? They're giving me a $70 cash out. He's like, just stay patient, stay patient, stay patient.

Yeah. Uh when I don't know, dude. I'm just pumped for the guy. I'm pumped for Ludwig, dude. I I'm I'm pumped for Ludwig. Yeah, I mean I'm bummed. I'm bummed that it ended the way it ended. But it was a good tournament. Uh I mean, for the third week in a row, dude, the player with the lead going into the last round didn't win. Lowry, Berger.

Think about it. This is also two weeks now that what, tied on the final hole, and then one player has a great drive and the other player hits it either into the rough or into the pine straw in this case, where they have to have a layup shot. And I mean, look, you gotta, I mean, you gotta play T to green. You gotta play it in regulation.

Uh Michigan has been struggling recently. Badger was whining yesterday about homeboy hitting the game winning three. I'm like, Badger, you do realize he was the Big Ten player of the year, right? I mean Oh, they're lucky. Yeah, well, he's whatever. Yeah. Uh I mean, Michigan lost three games. One to Wisconsin, one to you guys, and one to Purdue. Yeah. Whatever.

Yeah, I I just, you know, I I I don't have much faith in him. Obviously, the best player in the country's out for the season. And like I said, hinted towards coming back next year. I know you were at work and you were like way behind. You're like, what the shit? Yeah, Wednesday. Dude, failed a physical. Which by the way, air quotes, air quotes, failed a physical.

I mean, when it happened, like this topic has been beaten to death to the point where it's just it's so unfair to I maybe okay, I don't want to say unfair, but just like the optics of what it looks like and the relationships that the Ravens are gonna sour with other agents, other players. I mean, that's some shenanigans. And the reason why I bring this up is this is it by remorse? Well, let's think about it. You wanted to get one of the top three, four guys, elite players. I mean, a stud of studs. They wanted two first round picks, they gotta pay him that high ticket, which he just got the year prior, so the $30 million. And they're like, all right, we got our guy. But then what had happened was there's this other guy, disgruntled from Cincinnati, that was in your division. It yeah, in our division as well, that he had a price value for himself that he wanted to get. He also wanted to make that 30. His agent put feelers out there. That's why I made the comment on last episode. I thought for sure he was going to Dallas. And you're like, and you called it. The Washington Dominic was like, he ain't going to Dallas. And I was like, I thought it, I thought I saw the sign still delivered. Like, what happened? And then, you know, the market softened a little bit. And when he realized that his number of 30 wasn't gonna make it, so they dropped it down by what, folks? Oh, two million. Not 30. Let's bring it back a little bit. Let's just drop it down to 28 a year. Baltimore is just like, hey, this is only this is a tampering period. This is not sign still delivered. So you're telling me I can get a guy that is barely a year older.
