Holly Martin from Safe For Kids.
Having a conversation about consent, autonomy, and pornography with children.
The world is conflicted about this. The world is conflicted about whether we do or whether we don't.
We speak about;

  • the misunderstanding of what this education means and why it's needed
  • language to use and not use
  • approaching the subject of kids viewing unsafe images online
  • the issues that arise from this
  • how grooming has changed so much in the past 20, 10 & 5 years
  • the ways that perpetrators have become smarter in the way that they ask questions to coerce and groom children
  • what we can do as adults, as parents, as teachers, and as people with kids around us.
  • how to have these uncomfortable conversations
  • Holly shares, stats,
  • her experiences and the candid experiences of others

This is about education, autonomy, and empowerment, not fear and knowing what we can do to help our kids and keep them safe.
The conversations that we avoid are the ones that we need to have the most.
I hope that this empowers you to have a better conversation about this subject.
