Supergirl is supposed to be next big superhero film.. but when you have the star of the film telling men it’s not about them, the director trying to be too cleaver before it even comes out it’s set up to fail..

There has been strong women superheroes.. Princess Leia, Tomb Raider, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Black Widow.. it’s not that men don’t won’t another one it’s that they want another great one..

You know, a lot of advertising for the new supergirl movie. And I know before people go at me saying, Oh, well, you're just an angry man who doesn't like women superheroes. Well, that's where you're totally wrong. I love all movies. I don't care who the star is, who the actor, actress, theme, if it's good, if I enjoy it, it is what it is, I like it. I don't care who is the main person. The problem is, okay, when you start out trying to push a comic book movie and really want it to be a huge hit, the last thing you want to do is alienate your core audience. You know, like I'm not saying that only guys read comic books because there's women that read comic books, there's kid boys, girls, guys, whatever. There's everybody, but the main, like, if you look at the main kind of group of people that is gonna read comic books, it's dudes, it's guys, and when you have the star of the film, the Alcock, tell the reporters when you're on your junket, that this is about the women and isn't nothing to do with men, and she swings both ways, and it's nothing to do with a love story. And first of all, I don't really think a guy gives a shit if a comic book movie has a love story in it. You know what I think they want? A movie that is not gonna be basically telling guys you're fucking stupid. You don't matter. And I know everybody that's trying to push the uh the what the Superwoman uh Supergirl film talking about, well, if you read the comics, you would know that Supergirl is a lot stronger than Superman. Well, here's the problem Supergirl is an add-on, and it was added on the comics, to make it this, you know, woman girl power type of thing. The whole DC, and this is where people that just want to talk bullshit, just talk bullshit. If you look at how the DC world of comics was built, it was built on Superman, Man of Steel, you know, leap tall buildings, faster than a silver bullet, all that. When you are now trying to put down your basically Moneymaker, the movie that Christopher Reeves made, the comic that has been around since basically I think the 30s, and now you're trying to tell me that this supergirl who's drunk off her ass, who is anti this, and it works with some, like anti-heroes, like the Punisher. That's an anti-hero, but there's a gritty backstory to it. This is basically uh, well, if you you know, it's all about woman power. It's and I'm like, well, that's not really gonna sell to your audience, and when you have the star of the film saying that, it's not going to really sell to your core audience. And I look at it a lot like the WMBA, right? The WMBA always has all these women or dudes who are trying to kiss up to the women say how this is, you know, they're not giving equal uh viewership to the women and WMBA is the MBA. And then the first question that you ask any of these people is, do you go see the games? 99% of them go, well, I've never been to a WMBA game. Well, there you fucking have it. If you're battling for it and you don't even go see it, why should I be fighting for your you know rights or whatever? Same thing with this film. How many of these man hating, you know, fighting for the women's superhero films are actually gonna go see it? They're not, they're just there to stir up shit, right? Because I'm gonna tell you right now, I've seen so many of the superhero movies, the men's ones, the women's ones, even going way back when to the original Wonder Woman TV show. I've s liked Wonder Woman the the movies, Black Widow. Black Widow was a good film. She was one of the main uh heroes in the Avengers. She sacrificed herself in Endgame for God's sake. Then you have the ultimate, like badass woman hero, Princess Leia. Princess Leia was the boss of the rebellion. She put Han Solo, which my favorite character, in his place. He was falling over himself at times for her. You know, she was the boss of the rebellion. She stood up to Darth Vader. But now because this movie isn't gonna work, it's because we all hate women characters. No, it's because the movie's shit. You know what I mean? The move if the movie's shit, it's shit. But now it's all about blaming. You know, a good few years ago, Ryan Reynolds made the movie Green Lantern, right? And everybody makes fun of it. He even makes fun of it. I enjoyed it. I enjoyed it for what it was. It was a comic book character that I liked, and it was put on film, and maybe, yeah, it could have been better. However, nobody blamed guys for hating it, or nobody blamed women for hating it because it was a guy superhero. They they just said it wasn't well done. That's it. Maybe that's what you have to get back to. I'm so tired of all this like victimhood. Same thing with Kathleen Kennedy. The last three Star Wars is, and by the way, if anybody knows me, they know how big of a Star Wars fan I am. I've watched the the original three, the prequel three, numerous times. Those last three, I think I've watched maybe the first one twice, the second one once, and the fur the last one, I think I got through it. They were fucking brutal. But according to her, it's because we don't like strong women leads. No, we don't like shitty made films. That's it. I think if people got their head around that, it'd be a lot easier. And if they stopped bowing down, like for example, even the new remade Tomb Raider I watched, uh, not with um uh uh Angelina Jolie, the other one, uh, I forget what the actress's name is, and I enjoyed that too, but it was it was done similar to the original. Strong woman lead, strong woman hero, great film. No problem with it whatsoever. I have a problem when it's all about, well, F you guys, you know, if you don't like it, it's because you don't like women. What the fuck is that? And you have the actress go, because I know it's gonna happen. It's all gonna get blamed on, you know, the whole, well, it's because of men. Case in point, Captain Marvel, the I'm gonna tell you right now, that original set of films, like that 10-year stretch, was done perfectly. It all sort of flowed. That one was done almost like, oh shit, you know, we gotta get this character in there. And it could have been done well, and I watch it because it's not like this like F you to dudes. It's not, she didn't try to because how the writing is done for those films is awesome. You know, I love how it's not like done to make guys look like a-holes or women look like a-holes. That one was done in a really well-done way, and all the part, all the stuff she did up until endgame was great. The problem is when she started going and bashing everybody, you could even see it in the guys like Chris Hemsworth when he was in interviews with her, it was just like enough already. We get it, you're awesome, you know? And when it doesn't work, all the blame starts getting thrown all over the place. Everywhere. So I just think that maybe if you just realize, make these comic book films for what they are and who they're geared toward. Even that's why I never I never really liked this thing. Well, it's a female character, you know, the females are reading these comics. Well, that's very sexist of you. Why why can't guys read Supergirl or Wonder Woman? It's a superhero. It doesn't say, you know, super female, super male, super hero. That's it. But you know, it's not just it's not just the actress telling guys to shut the fuck up. It's not people saying how if you don't like it, you're a misogynist. It's also the director, James Gunn. Now, if anybody knows James Gunn, he's done some great things. Like he did Guardians of the Galaxy, which was a real quirky, not well-known part of Marvel. How he wrote it, or excuse me, how he directed it, and how everything was shot, and you know how he had the characters playing off of one another, was great. It he did a great job. The problem is it works for certain types of characters. When you try to be too clever, too quirky, too edgy on certain things, it loses it. And he does that, and I guarantee you, this is a guy too, he's way too in love with himself, right? Because everything he does is very much like that. If you think about the films he's done, you know, Suicide Squad, uh, Gardens of the Galaxy, uh, Peacemaker, very similar with how all it's done. So either he doesn't have a huge range of different styles, because if you look at other directors of Steven Spielberg, he's all over the place with what he's done. Like, that's it. Ron Howard, same thing. You know, a lot of these directors have done different styles of films. This guy is like almost looks like a one-trick pony. Because Supergirl is the same thing. Oh, a disheveled character and has got a lot of issues, and you know, has the one-liners, and if you don't like it, then either. Like, also when you try to be too clever, when people call you out, they say, Oh, well, you don't understand it because you're just like lowbrow. No, not at all. Because I liked other work you did, but this one falls flat on his face. So, all sorts, I bet you, of different reasons why this isn't gonna work is gonna start coming out. And the biggest thing is, you know, the two biggest franchises when it comes to superheroes, you got Marvel, you have DC. Marvel's characters, you know, yes, there's dark in the comics and all that, but how it all is written is very humorous. You know, they have the funny one-liners, and it's a little more light-hearted at times. DC is a darker I don't want to say more reality-based, because coming from space, but you know, you look at other characters in this thing, uh, Batman, Green Lantern, just to name a few people. But also even the ones that are, you know, very out of this world, you know, Green Lantern, Superman, Wonder Woman, all these types, the Flash, they all have like super powers, okay? Now, here's the thing you can't try to do something that the characters aren't like, right? Superman, it's it's him, he knows how powerful he is, but and he could take the world over, but he doesn't. But then you show him with all these flaws, and it changes the character. Batman was done well, I think. Like the Christopher Nolan one, great. Even the ones with Tim Burton did it in a comic book way, even how it was filmed. You know, if you notice, sometimes you don't notice, but I like seeing these things. The picture is kind of crooked, like it would be in a super or excuse me, in a comic book. The Superman vs Batman movie, that should have been done four films later. That's why DC is all over the place. And then when you got a guy like James Gunn involved who thinks that like what he says is more important than air, then you got issues because the the the Superman movie was made. What should have been done was a Batman movie, then a Wonder Woman movie, then an Aquaman movie. Now you've introduced all the characters that you want as the Justice League, just like they did with Marvel. But no, they had to like bunch this shit together where Wonder Woman came out of nowhere, then you got these two fighting each other. It was so kind of pushed together, but nobody blamed misogyny on it. Nobody blamed, you know, oh well, you didn't like Batman vs. Superman because they threw Wonder Woman in it. No. I thought it was decent and it was good for what it was, but I didn't blame anybody that they didn't make another one because they didn't think it was good enough. Now it's so crazy that there's so much blame on everything. That they'll make another they'll make another Supergirl movie just because it didn't do well, and that's how crazy this is. Movie production companies have been taken over by a mob. Because years ago, case in point, Superman vs Batman, Batman vs. Superman, they didn't go to the well again because it didn't work, and they're in the business of making money. So now though, even if Supergirl bombs, say it just breaks even, which let's be honest, that's bombing in for a movie of that size. They'll still make another one because they'll blame you. They'll say, well, it wasn't good because you didn't want to see it because a woman was the head lead. No, because they made Wonder Womans and I liked them. They made Tomb Raiders, I liked them. Forget forget Star Wars. Like I keep bringing up these films of superhero characters that were the leads that ran the show. Princess Leia. Black Widow. You know, all these things, and I didn't not go see it. I didn't go, I did not see Iron Man 2 because they introduced Romanoff. I didn't not see Black Widow, the film, because it was uh, you know, Romanoff was the lead. No, I saw them and I enjoyed them. Tomb Raider, loved them. Wonder Woman, great. Star Wars, amazing, but when you throw a lead in there just to make it be to an F you to dudes, that's when you lose the audience. I I mean this isn't like rocket science, this is just common sense, and when you talk common sense to a mob, they don't give a shit. They'll tell you you are just an angry white man. Well, I'm a guy and I'm white, yeah, but angry? No. I just like good movies. And when it's shitty, it's shitty. I mean, just like the ending of that Superman where she came in and was like, later, bitch. It's like we get it. That joke's been done a hundred times, and after the second time, the next like 98 fell flat on its face. So I just think it's too easy now when something goes shitty, just start blaming things. Oh, it's that fault, it's this fault, and it all started because again, I'm gonna tell you right now, whether it's the movies, whether it's music, or you know, whatever it is, even like politics. I saw how like you know, Bernie Sanders is on this like tear of blaming the billionaires, like Elon. Well, now he's a trillionaire, but like, you know, people that have money, right? Anybody that has money is like evil according to him, even though he's made a shit ton of money. Him, AOC, Warren, all these people make money, but they do it a clever way. They blame you, me, whoever. If you have money that you're evil and you don't pay enough in whatever taxes, this, that, and the other. So they they're the evil one, and now they have a mob chasing after anybody who they deem evil. And I'm like, do you not see what they're doing? They're they're giving a group of people who you know are easily influenced the green light to get like violent or at least attack them verbally. The films do the same thing. It's like it used to be when you made a shit film, it just died. It wasn't because people like exam, I'll give you a great one. I think they say one of the most expensive films ever made and was was did terribly is Wonderworld. Oh no Wonder World, Waterworld, Kevin Costner. It was made for I don't even know how much money, and it did disaster or also the um what the hell was that that film that John Travolta did um about aliens and enslaving like humans and all that? What was the name of that film? Whatever it was, it was like almost like. Based off what they thought they said Scientology. But it didn't do well. Nobody blamed, you know, people being uh against aliens or you know, against uh whatever, right? Or the water world, you weren't blaming people not liking the ocean. Yeah, like stupid shit like that. But now everybody needs to blame something. And it's funny because the people that they're blaming, me, you, whoever, don't re uh never really even would think about it. You know, I I would never think, well, I didn't like that film because of you know, why why did Green Lantern not do well? I saw it, I've watched it a few times. It's not the best film, but it's not like a disaster, but it they didn't make another one because it didn't do well. Captain Marvel did well, but I think it would have done amazingly well. Because again, for those that 10-year stretch, basically, Marvel films was just printing money. They put out Thor big time, Black Panther, huge, uh you know, Doctor Strange, gigantic, every Iron Man, Captain America, you name it, it did great. Captain Marvel did very, very well, but at that point, right before leading into uh Infinity War Endgame, it should have been like a no-brainer, like billion dollars, you know, whatever, billion and a half dollars. But when everybody you start blaming people, it will put people off from going to see it. Don't after a day that it didn't hit the goal, start going, well, it's because I get guarantee you, I can guarantee you, this is going to be thrown into every white guy's face if this thing doesn't break records the first weekend. And when you point, well, maybe it's because the actress who's carrying this film told dudes to go fuck themselves, basically, that could be an issue. But no, that that's not the issue, and and you know they'll also say, Oh, everybody's saying she's unattractive. Well, you know, let's be honest, right? Gal Gadot for Wonder Woman, Scarlett Johansson for Black Widow, Angelina Jolie, Tomb Raider, Carrie Fisher in the original Star Wars. You know what I mean? Like this one, and and I almost feel they they make themselves sort of not glammed up. Like if you look at her in the uh red carpet for the premiere of Supergirl, the hair is sort of messed up, not not really done up or anything, and the dress is sort of unflattering to her, right? All this shit. It's almost done on purpose. So if you don't just fawn over, and this is true, this is with anything, this is very mind games, right? If you don't find a person who's super disheveled looking, if you don't like fawn over her and say how oh how attractive she is, you just hate women. No, I don't lie. If I think somebody does not look well, does not look good, I'm not gonna lie and say, oh my god, she's great looking. That's just it. And they do it on purpose. I can guarantee you, as I I always whenever I say conspiracy theories like this, it's all it's always well, you know, maybe you're giving them too much credit. No, this is simple. This is like grade one, you know, right in your face. I'm gonna bring them right into this trap. Don't do them up, then when they don't fawn over her, call them a misogynist. So when the film doesn't work, now we have the built-in the excuse. This is why shit isn't good now. I think Marvel figured it out. Marvel tried to make a couple of films after Endgame that was sort of pandering a little bit, just a little, and it didn't blow it out of the water, right? Every film should have after that because it was building up to something else, like the Eternals. The Eternals, for whatever reason, they tried to like have this Benetton commercial with every demographic, every you know uh nationality and this, that, and the other met, and it didn't really work, you know, and they figured it out because now they're kind of reset a little bit, right? But with DC, as long as you have a guy like James Gunn in charge, who every other thing out of his mouth is basically saying, well, you know, if you don't like a gay superhero, you're homophobic. What the fuck are you talking about? I don't even who gives a shit what they are, and that's the biggest thing. It's make believe, right? Comic books. Why are we having to like cram down anybody's throat what sexuality they are? I I don't know about you, but like if kids are going to see this, I don't really think kids give a shit if Supergirl's gay or not. Same thing with the political views, you could tell, and Marvel stayed away from it because they're clever. DC, when you have James Gunn who fucking hates Trump, he can't not help himself from putting those types of things into films he's in charge with. And uh the biggest one I think would be to blow this all out of the water would be a TV show that like ran for seven seasons, then had spin-offs, and the main character was a strong woman. Well, girl at first, then she grew as the show went on. Buffy the vampire slayer, Sarah Michelle Geller, like that was iconic, still talked about now. It had spin-offs, it had, you know, Angel came off of that, and he was almost Buffy's psychic, a a powerful like vampire with a soul, but the main strong character was a woman. So maybe James Gunn, maybe Supergirl, maybe Kathleen Kennedy. It's not that people don't like str you know, female characters, strong female characters, maybe they don't like shitty female characters that are trying to tell you how dumb and stupid you are as a guy, and maybe it's not so attractive for you know the movie producers, directors to tell you that if you don't like the film, it's not that it wasn't any good. No, no, God forbid that you think a movie sucks. It's that you don't like a female character. I rattled off so many in this half hour to to kind of debunk this whole thing. But again, you just wait and see. I almost feel like I'm gonna be Nostradamus when this film comes out. It's gonna be, oh, it didn't work because all the guys started this campaign to hate the movie. That is so far from the truth. If it's a good film, I enjoy it. I don't care what it is, and even if it see, here's the thing now. The last thing, right? And even if the movie isn't that good, because I've seen films that aren't really that good. You know what I mean? Like some films, I'm like, eh, that was alright. But I I thought it was good, and and in an overall arc, you know, Supergirl is part of a universe. I would go, well, I'll watch it because it's part of a whole arc of films. But when I'm told that if you don't like it, it's because you're a guy, that's when shit gets turned off. Honestly, am I right, guys, or am I right?
