Is it just me, or is making friends as an adult hard?
As we get ready to move to a new city, I've had to face the fact that I'm going to need to put myself out there and make new friends and I'm not feeling 100% about it.
It's so much harder to make friends as an adult than it was as a kid. We have less time. We're more self aware and probably more self conscious. We've been conditioned to believe that making friends "just happens", when it actually takes intentionality and effort. Also, many of us experience something called the "liking gap" which means we tend to underestimate how much people like us.
So on today's episode, we cut through the BS and have a vulnerable conversation about friendship.
