Postpone Giving Up: Finding Strength in Gratitude

Daniel Malcolm Episode 23

After taking a break to focus on personal growth, I'm returning to share how postponing giving up and practicing gratitude can transform even our darkest moments. The past year brought many challenges, but I discovered powerful tools that helped me navigate difficult times and find my way back to strength and purpose.

• Postpone giving up for just one more day when things feel impossible
• Shift your perspective through gratitude for what you have right now
• Focus on what you're thankful for rather than what you lack
• Change your mindset by listing things you appreciate, no matter how small
• Remember you are a unique masterpiece worthy of love
• Speak to yourself with love and honesty
• Start 2024 by writing down your goals while being thankful for where you are
• Recognize that the present moment is all we truly have

Speaker 1:

Hello, hello, hello and welcome. Welcome to Positive Day Podcast. I just want to say thank you, happy New Year, merry Christmas to each and every one of my supporters out there. I have been slacking, I have taken a break, and the reason I haven't had a podcast in a long time I was finding myself. I found myself where I need to be more focused with myself. There's a few challenges in me that I needed to address and to fix, I guess, to love myself a little better, and I have working on that. You know, life is always working on it and I've been working on it, and today I feel that I have. I could be honest and true, as I've always been with you, to come out and say, um, I am ready, I make a podcast based on my energy, how I feel, how true I am, and today's podcast is about me being me, feeling that I have the energy today to witness, because all I want to share with you, all I want to, it's me, my real, true, honestly me.

Speaker 1:

So much has happened within 2023, but we're going to put 2023 behind us. What has happened has happened, what has taken place has taken place, and what it's a new year, 2024. And I just want to say thank you and appreciate you for always being there, always listening to me. You're encouraging words. Your words encourage me to meet, for me to be better and stronger person. And we all go through trials. We all go through trials. We all go through things and it's like how we, how we manage ourselves through it and how we see ourselves through it and how we get out of it. Through through that that time and and I just want to say thank you and I want to start with me it was a challenge in here, like a really challenge. I've learned so much about myself and one thing and I was on a journey of gratitude. You've always heard me with my podcast Gratitude. I have been through you will know everything. I will share everything with you due course, as the time comes, as the right opportunity comes out, as the right podcast allows me to open myself more and more to you about my journey. You know positive days, about my journey, my life, how things are going with me, and I just want to say, through everything I have been through, lots has happened Great things, amazing things, wonderful things. I'm so thankful and grateful Good things, lessons no, I don't say bad things, I always say lessons, lessons and through everything. Gratitude, always, always give gratitude, always say thank you.

Speaker 1:

There were times and moments when my back was against the wall and all I could say was thank you God, thank you universe, thank you that I have a car to drive, I have food to eat, I have a warm place to stay, I have some money in my bank account, I have a full tank of gas. You may remember that I keep on repeating that's from my other podcast that gratitude changes things, no matter where you are. I had family emergencies that I attended to and it wasn't a good place for me at the moment, but I took it with gratitude and I just want to remind you. It does not matter what you are going through. Want to remind you, don't? It does not matter what you are going through. It does not matter how your back against the wall, how much there is no more. I like nothing left for you. You feel that this is it.

Speaker 1:

Just don't give up, and something I learned through that is postponing giving up for tomorrow. If you feel you want to give up today like this is it. I can't do this anymore. Whatever situation you're going through, whatever it is to you, what you're going through is a lot to you. People will not understand and other people will not get what you're going through. Oh, that's have done this, this, this, this. Everyone's situation is different and we're all built unique and differently and I just want to share that out there.

Speaker 1:

That postpone giving up for tomorrow. If you feel you want to give up today, you're at a crossroad. Where this is it, I'm done, I'm finished. Where this is it, I'm done, I'm finished. Give it up. Give it up for one more day. Say tomorrow, I will give tomorrow, let me give it one more day. Don't give up today. One more day. And that brought me through where I am sitting today to share that podcast with you. Give up, don't give up today. Give it one more day and tomorrow will be better with gratitude, with gratitude, thank the universe, thank God for what you have the moment right now. We all been through.

Speaker 1:

2023 was a shit show for a lot of for us and I just want you know 2024 start with gratitude. If you don't have the courage, the strength to go down on your knees and pray, the strength, the courage to to pray, to to go, just gratitude. Thank god that that I'm alive. I got up this morning and I don't have pain, I can walk, I can talk. Thank you for my face, thank you for my mouth, my lips, my teeth. And give God thanks for things in your life, not what you don't have. Take a moment, make 2024, not about what you don't have, but make 2024 what you have and give thanks for what you have and doors will open, things will change, things will become better for you. I can promise you that. Give it a try. I did that. Take a moment and thank God for what you have.

Speaker 1:

I would get up in the mornings and say thank God, thank you, god, thank you, all is well. That is one of my prayers All is well, all is going to work out fine. Through this situation and you name the situation good will come. I am safe. This is something I learned from Louise Hay. I wrote it down and I just repeat myself 24-7, saying that, no matter what situation I'm in, I just keep on saying all is well, all is going to work out fine, I am safe, and I'm sharing that with you. I am again. I am not where I want to be, but I am in a much better place yesterday.

Speaker 1:

Postpone, postpone, please postpone giving up today. Give it one more day. Tomorrow will be a better day and give gratitude for where you are. I don't, it does not matter where you are. I don't care where you are, I don't care how bad it is, I don't care how you feel. Give gratitude for what you have at the moment, right where you are, right where you are. Give it gratitude, give it love, give yourself love and tell yourself I love you, I am strong. This is just a lesson for me to learn and thank you.

Speaker 1:

Whatever you believe in, whatever your faith is, my podcast myself is not about religion. It's just about loving yourself. And if you don't love yourself enough to love yourself, no matter where you are, because you were created by someone. You just didn't appear, you were created and whatever created you is a masterpiece and created a masterpiece who could create life? Tell me so. You are a masterpiece. You're one of a kind. There's no two like you and your situation is not like everyone else's situation because you feel the way you feel, the way you think, the way you see situation is not like everyone else's situation because you feel your way. You feel the way you think, the way you see things is not the same gratitude.

Speaker 1:

Go through whatever you're going through with gratitude. Thank the universe, thank god, whatever you believe in, thank him for what you have at that moment. And i'm'm repeating that again Thank the universe, thank God For what you have at that moment, for where you are in your life. Again, thank the universe, thank God For where you are, where you are at that point in time in your life. Look down at your hands, your feet, your face, your eyes, your lips, your skin, your teeth. Open your fridge, like if your fridge is empty, you don't have food, but something in your life that you're thankful for and that will change your mood, that will change how you think, that will change how you feel, that will make you postpone how you feel about you're going to give up because you're giving thanks, and giving thanks is a weapon, a powerful prayer. It's a powerful weapon I, um, I had.

Speaker 1:

I was in a such a bad situation and all I was giving thanks. It wasn't. I will share it with you at some point in time, but I just want you to know that through that time, all I was doing was giving thanks for where I'm at and what I have, and not the situation that I'm in and that lead me to where I am today. So I could tell you it does not matter where you are, it does not matter how you feel, it does not matter. All you have to do is postpone giving up. Postponepone giving up today. Give it one more day, and the only way to do that is with gratitude. Sit and give thanks for the moment.

Speaker 1:

The friends, the people Go back on something someone has done for you the people in your life, your job, the friendship, the people in your life, your job, the friendship, the gifts you received for Christmas. If you didn't get anything for Christmas, you got life. You got another opportunity for another year. Some people didn't get that. I just want to share. Put that out there and don't postpone giving up one more day and give it gratitude.

Speaker 1:

List the amount of things and I always write it. I write all the things that I'm so thankful for. Like, I walk through, I come home from work and the first thing I tell myself thank you God that when I open my door I say thank God, I have a warm place to go to. Thank you, god, I have a place to go to. Thank you, god, I arrived home safe. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Those are all.

Speaker 1:

Give God, the universe, whatever you believe in, thanks for where you are, what you are, where you're at at that point in time, because that's all you have. And if you could give thanks for where you're at, the universe will open doors. God will open a door for you, will change your mood because it's your mindset, it's how you think. It's your mindset that will change things. Put some music on to change your vibration, how you think. Remember gratitude, give thanks for what you have, the moment of where you're at, where you're at sitting, and I'm giving thanks right now. So I want to give thanks for me sitting right here, giving the privilege, the opportunity, the time to be able to share my experience, my life journey with you. And thank you Because not many people could got this opportunity to be able to do that, to share their life with you, and I'm sharing mine with you. So thank you.

Speaker 1:

Thank you for listening, thank you, universe, for allowing me to be bold, to be strong, and a special thank you for a special, special thank you for a friend of mine who called me up today and said when is your next podcast coming out? And I said I don't know. And he said me up today and said when is your next podcast coming out? And I said I don't know. And he said why not today? And I said why not today? And I just want to say a special thanks to you for encouraging me, for pushing me, and you know you, you know you I'm not going to say name, but you know you. You said when is your next podcast coming out? I want to hear you, I want to hear your voice. I miss you and it's been time. Today is that day.

Speaker 1:

Postpone how you feel, postpone how you think. And today and I'm taking my own, my own lesson I postpone the delay of not making this podcast today. I postpone it. I've been postponing it for so long and today was the day that my friend called me and he said hey, you, today's the day for that podcast and thank you. I just want to say thank you, thank you, thank you, and we and we have so many people like that in our lives that we need to be thankful for and and and the friendship that we have, and I'm not going to go into that much. But today is just postponing. Giving up today's podcast is postponing giving up for tomorrow and and when you postpone it.

Speaker 1:

Give it with gratitude. Whatever you got up today you ate. Your plan is give god, the universe, gratitude, and there's so many things you could give gratitude for. You know it's your life. Be honest with yourself. The only way you can achieve anything in your life is to be honest with yourself. And true, don't blame anybody else. Don't expect somebody to change you. Don't expect somebody to fix you. Don't expect somebody to change you. Don't expect somebody to fix you. Don't expect it's only you to change your mindset. And and change your mindset with gratitude. Change it with gratitude. Take a moment and give god thanks, give the universe thanks for things that are in your life at the moment. It doesn't matter where you are, it doesn't matter how rough, how tough, how, whatever thing is, and I'm telling you this podcast today.

Speaker 1:

I am not in a good place, but I need to share that with you. None of us are going to be in a good place. None of us are going to be where we want to be. None of us going to be in a good place. None of us going to be where we want to be. None of us are going to be like where we want, but the universe has put us. God has put us where we are today and give him thanks, give it thanks, give the universe, give God thanks for where you are are the moment, the time where you are. Thank you, universe, thank you, god, for allowing me to be here with you, to share that with you, and I have postponed this for so long and today I am giving it to you, the encouragement. Whatever you need today just postpone giving up. Just postpone it for one more day and no matter what it is you're going through personal life, addiction, whatever it is and you want to give up, postpone it for one more day and give it with gratitude. Start thanking the universe, thanking God for where you are. Don't ask for things, don't ask for. You want this, you want that, you want this, you want that, but take a moment and thank God that you have life. You, wherever you are, whatever you think going through your mind that you need to be thankful for, do that. Thank God for it.

Speaker 1:

Today's podcast is about. It is really about postponing giving up, and I just want to share this with you today. I have postponed this for a long time and today you will hear more of me. I am back. Positive days back. 2024 is our year where we all gonna grow. We all are gonna grow. We all are gonna become what we were truly to become.

Speaker 1:

But we have to be honest with ourselves, we have to be true to ourselves and we have to do this with gratitude. Without gratitude for what you have, you cannot go anywhere. If you cannot appreciate what you have, how you expect you to be thankful for what you want? Be thankful for where you are, where you're at, and the moment, always the moment that matters. The hour after that moment is gone, you cannot go back and change it. So I just want to say postpone giving up for today and be thankful for where you're at and give it love. Give yourself love and tell yourself, please tell yourself, I love you, I love you, I appreciate you. Tell yourself that, because if you cannot tell yourself that, how can you tell someone else that and how you expect someone else to tell you that? So I just want to leave that with you today of you.

Speaker 1:

If your first time listening to me, subscribe. You enjoy this. It means something to you. Share it with your friends, your family. This is the only way people can hear my voice, and I just want you to share the love, share it, subscribe so you never miss an episode again.

Speaker 1:

And 2024 is our year. We're going to make that together, step by step, achieve our goals. Whatever you want to achieve, you want to get, you want to go, I want you to write it down. Write down what you want, where you want to go, what you want to be, and we're going to give, tell, we're going to thank the universe for it. That's for another episode, but today's episode is postpone, giving up. Don't give up. Just postpone it and tell God, universe, whatever you believe in, thank you and list all the things you're thankful for in your life. And every day you get up, give, be thankful for the moment, the time where you are, those days, those moments when it's gone, you cannot go back and get it. So I just want to say thank you for listening to me. 2024, we're back and we.
