CHH - Episode 23
[00:00:00] Allie: Ta da! Alright, welcome back to Conspiracy Happy Hour, the podcast where we mix up drinks, stir up laughs, and dive into those juicy conspiracies. Cheers. Cheers. It's been a while, my friend.
[00:00:12] Dann: It has been a while. If you guys didn't listen to our last episode, we just put out a quick little recap of where we've been over the last nine months.
[00:00:19] Dann: It's been hectic. In and out of the country, Allison and I
[00:00:23] Allie: was in and out of the
[00:00:24] Dann: country. And then she made a giant life decision. And then
[00:00:28] Allie: I decided to get engaged. I'm still not sure why.
[00:00:31] Dann: May or may not regret that later, but that's for
[00:00:33] Allie: future episodes. So number
[00:00:36] Dann: three, cheers to that. Cheers. 2023. It
[00:00:39] Allie: has been a crazy, crazy 2023, but I am glad to be back recording.
[00:00:45] Allie: So this feels very comfortable. Like I was saying before, I think the, the hardest part with keeping up with this podcast is just the amount of research you have to do for each episode. So, if you didn't listen to the last [00:01:00] episode, at least for the next few months, we are only going to be posting monthly instead of every two weeks, just so we have time to catch up and have a backlog of some episodes that we can post.
[00:01:13] Dann: Yeah, we don't want to We don't want to hit the ground running too hard back into this, but we're excited to be back. I was very excited when I saw the conspiracy happy hour logo behind me on the screen. I was like,
[00:01:25] Allie: it's so cute. Wait, that's why it's so cute.
[00:01:32] Dann: Yeah, I'm ready to be, I'm ready.
[00:01:37] Allie: So I guess we should probably kick this off with in our normal fashion, a Mandela effect. Yeah. Hit me. All right. So, for starters, have you ever watched Lamb Chop on TV when you were a child? Yes,
[00:01:56] Dann: and I used to have a Lamb Chop.
[00:01:58] Allie: Okay, so while, [00:02:00] before we started recording, I said to you, Oh my god, no, I'm not gonna get that song out of my head.
[00:02:04] Allie: Any idea what song was in my
[00:02:06] Dann: head? It's funny because I, you know, you just said lamb chop, but the Barney song just popped into my head. Like the, what I love you love. Yeah. And I'm like, that's not right. Oh, yeah. Sing it for me. This is the song that never ends. It just goes on and
[00:02:26] Allie: wrong. It is. This is the song that doesn't end.
[00:02:32] Allie: Wow. My whole childhood is a lie. It's been a lie.
[00:02:35] Dann: It's been a lie. We're done the podcast. I have
[00:02:37] Allie: always sang that as this is a song that never ends. It goes on and on. My friend. Yeah,
[00:02:45] Dann: it doesn't, it doesn't, it doesn't sound
[00:02:47] Allie: right, knowing what it was.
[00:02:49] Dann: Yeah, it doesn't even sound right. It sounds like it should be never.
[00:02:52] Dann: Never.
[00:02:53] Allie: It fits better. I don't like it. But it's wrong. Fake news. It has always been, doesn't end.
[00:02:59] Dann: This is why we [00:03:00] drink.
[00:03:00] Allie: I gotta pour myself another glass after that one. I know. Yeah. So, yeah, that was our Mandela Effect, and it bothers me, and I'm going to be humming that song the rest of this recording. And I will I'm probably
[00:03:13] Dann: next.
[00:03:13] Dann: I will not be sleeping tonight now, so. Mm hmm. Haunted by Lamb Chop.
[00:03:17] Allie: I'll be in the wine I
[00:03:23] Dann: know I'm drinking a white wine tonight. I got handed six bottles of wine for Christmas from the director of my team. And he, we all announced it. We all went out to Philly. I got to stop moving away from the microphone because he wanted to take us out for dinner.
[00:03:39] Dann: And so. I was like looking at stuff around where we work and where you are from home, but where I work, because I didn't realize Philly was an option. Because he has to fly in for dinner. And he's like, you don't got, you guys don't want to go out to Philly. And I was like, well, you didn't say, I didn't think that was an option.
[00:03:56] Dann: I was at the old
[00:03:57] Allie: company. We wouldn't be allowed.
[00:03:58] Dann: Exactly. So [00:04:00] I was like, you said Philly. I was like, we ended up
[00:04:04] Allie: go. You sent me pictures that place looked beautiful. The
[00:04:08] Dann: place was so cool, and actually on the second floor, this is the, in the basement, there's actually a bowling alley. Stop!
[00:04:15] Allie: What was it called?
[00:04:16] Allie: Harp and Crown. Harp? Harp and
[00:04:19] Dann: Crown? Yeah, like the instrument. Okay. Awesome place, the food was really good. And we, we stopped at like the Christmas village before we went there and we got a cute, cute little picture of our team.
[00:04:31] Allie: Oh, I love that so
[00:04:31] Dann: much. But yeah, when we were about to get in the car to go, he goes, he hands, like, it's like one of those.
[00:04:39] Dann: CaNvas, you know, cases of, like, six things. Oh, that has little compartments. Yeah, and it was filled with six bottles of wine. You're like, he went like this, and then we're like, oh, we're like, I thought we just, like, we won each. Like, he was just handing it. And then he just, like, whoop, picked another one out of the cart.
[00:04:55] Allie: Another one out Oh my god, that's amazing! How many people are on your team?
[00:04:59] Dann: [00:05:00] They're Was there's 5 altogether, but 4 got 6 bottles of wine.
[00:05:05] Allie: Wow. This is 1
[00:05:07] Dann: of them. Thanks. Thanks, Brian.
[00:05:11] Allie: I bought this 1. For myself at the liquor store, and it's the 1st time I had this 1. it's okay. I'm very upset because I cannot find.
[00:05:22] Allie: My favorite wine anywhere right now, it's by white horse winery, and I forget the name of it specifically, but it's this white wine that is so freaking good. And I've been to three liquor stores in the area, including the one canals by you, which is gigantic. Yeah, they usually have everything. They don't have it.
[00:05:43] Allie: I'm so upset. I wonder if they stopped selling for this. Yeah, this is a
[00:05:49] Dann: Chardonnay. It's pretty good.
[00:05:50] Allie: This is a semi sweet something.
[00:05:52] Dann: Wine. Delicious.
[00:05:54] Allie: Handcrafted. It's
[00:05:56] Dann: handcrafted. I do have to work tomorrow. Hopefully I'm not too
[00:05:59] Allie: hungover. [00:06:00] I mean, I've got half a bottle left.
[00:06:02] Dann: No, I'm, I'm essentially the only person from my team going to be online tomorrow, so it doesn't really
[00:06:07] Allie: matter.
[00:06:07] Allie: I'm going to be online. I don't think I'm going to be working.
[00:06:09] Dann: No, I accidentally took an hour and a half nap today.
[00:06:14] Allie: Okay. So
[00:06:15] Dann: I laid down during lunch and I woke up and I was like,
[00:06:19] Allie: I really doubt that. We're going to get popular enough to where my coworkers are going to end up hearing this, but I bought 1 of those, like, little mouse jigglers.
[00:06:27] Allie: It is. Best purchase, I, it was 10. Okay. And you plug it into your keyboard. Like it's just a USB, like a small little USB and you turn it on. There's two settings. So one of them like just slightly jiggles the mouse. I mean, you look at your screen, you can see the mouse moving. The other setting goes like this and up and down.
[00:06:53] Allie: It like acts like it's scrolling all over your text and it's. Like [00:07:00] undetectable, untraceable, but my little circle next to my name never goes as a way it is always showing as available. Now I have my phone and stuff in the other room with me. So if I get an email or if I get a Webex message or something like that, that I need to answer, I have it, but I'm always showing as available.
[00:07:18] Allie: It's amazing. These are
[00:07:20] Dann: the year. These new laptops they gave us, they're great, but they're like, they time out in less than quickly. 10 minutes, less than 10 minutes. I just go, I'll like, I'll be even be in the office, go to the, to the kitchen to get like a coffee and I'm back and it's, I have to like unlock it and you can't change it because it's locked by secure, by IT people.
[00:07:42] Allie: Well, that's like I said, this thing, it does not fall asleep. It's, it's, it's great. I cannot rave about this piece of equipment enough. It was amazing. I have to look into it. But I forget how we even got off onto that tangent. Something about the six bottles of wine, I think.
[00:07:58] Dann: Right? I think, yes, the [00:08:00] wine is definitely involved.
[00:08:04] Dann: But should we dive into this? Should we get back to I was gonna say, do we
[00:08:07] Allie: do our rock, paper, scissors?
[00:08:08] Dann: We have to. We have to do rock, paper, scissors. Best
[00:08:10] Allie: two out of three. Yes. Right? Okay. Ready? Rock, paper, scissors, shoot.
[00:08:18] Dann: Already off to a good start.
[00:08:20] Allie: Just like old times!
[00:08:21] Dann: It's just like, we never left.
[00:08:23] Allie: Rock, paper, scissors, shoot.
[00:08:26] Allie: Ooh, tired. Did you get a four there? What
[00:08:29] Dann: was that? It was like this, and I went to cover my microphone like it was a rock.
[00:08:33] Allie: Okay. Alright, ready? It's proof. I did it. Paper. Tiebreaker. You ready? Yeah. Rock, paper, scissors, shoot.
[00:08:41] Dann: Ooh, I win! It
[00:08:43] Allie: was a Christmas miracle. There's quite a delay on this screen. That's all I gotta say.
[00:08:47] Allie: Okay. Alright. It is rigged. I rigged it. Do second?
[00:08:51] Dann: I'll go first. Okay. It's not, not too often where I actually win rock, paper, scissors. So I'm going to take advantage of it. No, it might have been like, two times. Yes. I'm [00:09:00] pretty sure two times is accurate. Okay. Go for it. So, I know we already I'm going to give you the option to choose since.
[00:09:08] Dann: Okay. Spoilers, we're recording some back to back. Yes. Do you want like a spooky or do you want like, do you want a cryptid? Spooky. Okay. Spooky it is. So. I never heard of this, but I'm, I'm, I love a good, like, ghost story even though I'm terrified and can't watch scary movies, but so this one is about, it's a story about a Dutch ghost ship, whose entire crew died with their faces paralyzed in fear.
[00:09:40] Dann: Is
[00:09:41] Allie: this like the SpongeBob ghost ship?
[00:09:44] Dann: This is not the The Flying Dutchman? The Flying Dutchman. This is not, but it is a Dutch ship. Okay. So, so in this story, like I said, it's a a story about this ship where the whole crew was found dead [00:10:00] with a creepy ass look on their face. Like
[00:10:04] Allie: floating in a sea or was it like on a port that they found them?
[00:10:08] Dann: Nope. Yeah. Like floating at sea. Oh, I love this. Okay. All right. So whether you believe in the supernatural. Or not a good ghost story might put you in doubt about what is real and what is fake and it's, it's funny. I got a little help from chatty on this. So, but I kept it in because it's like, oh, I, it literally brought up something I covered before.
[00:10:31] Dann: It's like mysterious places, places like Dudley town, which we covered on this podcast in the past. Yeah, where it's too haunted to visit. We still have to check the place out. I know. Actually, we should. There's another place in here, instead of the town of Marfa, where aliens apparently landed. So, gotta look up that one.
[00:10:47] Dann: I love that. I know. But this one we're focusing on the haunted legend of the S. S. Orang Medan, that's the name of the ship. Sounds
[00:10:58] Allie: like a
[00:10:58] Dann: monkey. [00:11:00] I like practice saying the word. I was like, don't say Orang Medan.
[00:11:06] Dann: Okay. The story took place in 1940, 1947, or 1948, depending on who you ask. The existence of the ship is still debatable, with some dismissing it as an urban legend. However, references to the ship can be found in a 1952 United States Coast Guard publication, as well as in articles from the New York's, the Albany Times, and the San Francisco Examiner in 1948.
[00:11:34] Dann: Legend has it that around June 1947, two American vessels, the City of Baltimore and the Received distress messages from the SS Orang Medan, a radio operator on the ghost ship sent a Morse code message that read SOS from Orang Medan. We float. I guess it's also part of the message. I guess that's good.
[00:11:57] Dann: A boat's floating. Pretty good so
[00:11:59] Allie: far. [00:12:00] Unless it means bodies are floating. Maybe. That's not, that's not quite as good.
[00:12:05] Dann: No. So this is the whole message. SOS from the, from Orang Medan. We float. All officers, including the captain, dead in chart room and on the bridge, probably whole of crew dead. That was the message.
[00:12:20] Dann: It's a long
[00:12:20] Allie: message. It was. For an SOS signal? Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep. A
[00:12:25] Dann: lot of morse code. Yeah. I know. Took the time to write all that out. You're probably dead. But, it didn't end there. Another message came through. Chillingly simple. I die. That's a message I send every day. I die.
[00:12:39] Allie: As I'm sitting in front of my work computer.
[00:12:40] Allie: I
[00:12:40] Dann: know. That's how I felt today. I didn't feel like doing anything. With radio silence from the ship following the message, the crew of the Silver Star decided to investigate. What they discovered on board the SS Orang Medan was a scene straight out of a nightmare. The crew of the Silver [00:13:00] Star found the SS Orang Medan completely intact, but littered with the frozen bodies of the crew.
[00:13:08] Dann: Each crew member lay on their backs, faces contorted in terror. Eyes wide open and mouths agape.
[00:13:15] Allie: Did you say where this took place yet? No. Like is it an area where it could Make sense that they were frozen in place.
[00:13:26] Dann: No, we haven't got to, it hasn't mentioned where it happened yet. Okay. We'll come back to that.
[00:13:32] Dann: The crew of the Silver Star found the SS Orang Medan completely intact, but littered with the frozen bodies of the crew. Each crew member lay on their backs. Faces contorted in terror, eyes wide open and mouths agape. The most disturbing part? There was no visible signs of foul play on their bodies. The crew of the Silver Star bravely attempted to tow the ghost ship to a nearby port, but fate had other plans.
[00:13:55] Dann: A fire suddenly erupted in the number four cargo hold, forcing them [00:14:00] to abandon their rescue efforts. Moments later, the mysterious ship exploded and sank into the depths of the sea, leaving behind more questions than answers. So what could have happened to cause the demise of the crew? There are several theories, ranging from the plausible to the far fetch.
[00:14:18] Dann: One possible is carbon monoxide poisoning. It's speculated that an undetected fire caused by a malfunction in the ship's boiler system led to the release of deadly carbon monoxide. The crew may have succumbed to gas, which also triggered the fire that eventually destroyed the ship. Another theory suggests that the SS Orang Medan fell victim to a pirate attack.
[00:14:41] Dann: However, this theory loses credibility when we consider the lack of physical injuries on the
[00:14:46] Allie: crew. I was gonna say, I don't think that one's it.
[00:14:49] Dann: No. It does, honestly, it does sound like carbon monoxide poisoning. Yeah, but I mean,
[00:14:54] Allie: it's a ship. Like, if they're on the deck of the ship, I don't know if it would [00:15:00] react the same way.
[00:15:00] Allie: Yeah, it would
[00:15:01] Dann: disperse. Yeah. Some speculated that the ship was involved in smuggling hazardous materials such as potassium cyanide, nitroglycerin, or even wartime nerve gas. It's believed that seawater entered the ship's hold, triggering the release of toxic gas that led to the crew's demise. The explosion could have caused, the explosion could have been caused by nitroglycerin.
[00:15:26] Dann: There's even a wild theory suggesting that Japanese military stored nerve gas on the ship during the war. Handing it over to the U. S. military for transport. And then there are those who entertain the possibility of extraterrestrial involvement when faced with an unexplained explainable tragedy. The idea of aliens with unimaginable powers becomes tempting.
[00:15:48] Dann: However, it's important to note that there is no concrete evidence to support that, but there's another mind boggling fault. What if the S. S. orang Medan never existed at all? The discrepancies in accounts of [00:16:00] conflicting stories and the absence of official reports raised doubt about the ship's existence.
[00:16:05] Dann: Could it be an elaborate legend passed down through the years? Did the Orang Medan ever sail? All accounts thus far remain unconfirmed, and the details surrounding the ship's construction, maintenance, and history have never been found. The legend of the mythical ship buried beneath the sea remains just that, a legend.
[00:16:27] Allie: I'm assuming that there's like, lack of information on this ship or the passengers, because like, why would they not do, like, I guess, unless they didn't at the time, why would they not do an autopsy of some sort?
[00:16:42] Dann: Well, as they were towing the ship in, supposedly, as they were towing the ship in, it burst into flames and sank.
[00:16:48] Dann: So bodies were lost. But the ship was documented, not maybe in, I don't think they found the, like, records of its, like, construction and that kind of stuff in its, like, charter, but. That it was written about in [00:17:00] a United States Coast Guard publication, as well in a New York, not the New York Times. So it
[00:17:06] Allie: was at least a very valid claim that was documented.
[00:17:08] Allie: Yeah, it
[00:17:09] Dann: was doc, it was published in three publications. Mm hmm.
[00:17:15] Allie: That's interesting. That's freaky. It is. Like, in my head, I think of Spongebob. That ship is now a flying Dutchman, like, under the water, in bikini bottoms, terrorizing. Terrorizing. Terrorizing.
[00:17:28] Dann: Spooking everyone. With their face. But yeah, so that's my theory.
[00:17:33] Allie: The fact that their faces were like, frozen in terror, I kind of like, get like a poltergeist vibe.
[00:17:40] Dann: Yeah, definitely. Either they were something like, literally scared them to death, or aliens. Yeah. Yep. I don't think like gas or anything, like you said, it would have, the people on the deck, it would have dissipated.
[00:17:55] Dann: Right. Interesting. But that was a short one to get us back [00:18:00] into
[00:18:00] Allie: it. I love that. Well, mine is not long. It's not short either, but it's one that I'm sure most people have heard of because when you think conspiracy, this is one of the main ones. So my conspiracy is the moon landing. So just for a bit of backstory.
[00:18:22] Allie: Before I begin the conspiracy aspect of it at the time, the United States and the Soviet Union were engaged in a Cold War rivalry, each trying to showcase its technological superiority. In 1957, the Soviet Union launched Sputnik. This was the first artificial satellite ever. This triggered the race to space as the U.
[00:18:45] Allie: S. aimed to catch up and surpass the Soviet achievements. So President John F. Kennedy at that time set the ambitious goal in 1961 to put the first man on the moon before [00:19:00] the end of the decades. They had what, like nine ish years? And he declared that this was going to be national priority. Now, NASA's Apollo program, which was initiated in response to Kennedy's challenge, aimed to achieve exploration on the moon.
[00:19:20] Allie: This so called successful Apollo 11 mission in 1969, Marked the 1st manned moon landing. So the space race accelerated technological achievements leading to innovations in rocketry, computing and other fields. So, landing on the moon symbolize the monumental achievement of demonstrating technological prowess and the capability to explore new frontiers.
[00:19:50] Allie: Which, I'm sorry, John F. Kennedy, like, that was our priority, was getting a man on the moon? We were trying to beat Russia. How about we get out of the debt that we [00:20:00] were in at the time? Come on, dude.
[00:20:01] Dann: Nah, that debt, money's not real. The moon. To the moon!
[00:20:05] Allie: Apparently, all the debt that this country has acquired.
[00:20:08] Allie: But anyways, So let's get into the conspiracy around the whole thing. So despite the technological achievements showcased by the moon landing, to this day, a significant number of people remain skeptical that we actually made it to the moon. In response to the government's attempts to dispel these theories by emphasizing the impracticality of faking a moon landing in the 60s without the advanced CGI of today's Hollywood.
[00:20:37] Allie: Which kind of makes sense.
[00:20:38] Dann: Yeah, because the initial theory is like it was a set, right? Like a TV set. Yes,
[00:20:42] Allie: but I don't know if there's a real easy way to fake that in the 1960s. I don't know. Could just be my thoughts. But furthermore, I don't think
[00:20:50] Dann: movie magic wasn't that advanced
[00:20:52] Allie: yet. No, not quite. But they highlighted extensive evidence, including numerous pictures, videos, and recorded data supporting the [00:21:00] authenticity of the moon mission.
[00:21:03] Allie: Now, this is where, like, people try to debunk all of the documentation that has been provided. So, claim one is the flag controversy. Now, if you've ever heard of this a claim that the American flag should not have been waving. In all of the photos that has
[00:21:21] Dann: there's no
[00:21:22] Allie: air, so the moon the moon flag was waving like it was on a breeze, but space doesn't have air.
[00:21:29] Allie: So there's no atmosphere on the moon, which means that there should have been no air to make the flag wave. Some argue that the movement. Of the flag appears fluid as though it is reacting to air currents. Some conspiracy theorists even go as far as to say that the moon landing was staged, as you said, on a set and the movement of the flag was just an oversight as I guess, like the air conditioning was on.
[00:21:55] Allie: Yeah, they have like, Oh, we forgot to fix that, but whatever. Let's just [00:22:00] chalk it up to other stuff anyways. Claim two is the photographic anomalies. So, the moon pics look odd, as in the shadows do not seem consistent, and there's no stars in any of the photos. Now, critics argue that the shadows on the moon landing in the photos appear inconsistent in direction, length, and suggesting multiple lighting sources.
[00:22:27] Allie: So, skeptics question why the stars are not visible. In the moon photos, given the lack of atmospheric interference, there should have been an abundance of stars in the sky and they should have been shining brightly. So conspiracy suggests that the lighting in the moon photos is even is too even like studio lighting rather than natural sunlight on the moon.
[00:22:52] Allie: Some claim that the anomalies and film development or processing could indicate manipulation. [00:23:00] So, claim three surrounding this is the Van Allen Radiation Belt. Now, radiation belt would have barbecued the astronauts. So, skeptics argue that the Van Allen Radiation Belts surrounding the Earth have exposed the astronauts to dangerous levels of radiation during their journey to the moon.
[00:23:22] Allie: Critics question why the astronauts did not wear more sustainable protective gear, such as lead lined suits. To shield them. No, I mean, in the 1960s. I really doubt they even knew what a lead line suit was. I could be wrong. Does the moon have radiation? Around the atmosphere of Earth, I think. Well,
[00:23:42] Dann: what did the earth have it too?
[00:23:45] Allie: I don't, it's just, I don't dunno. I'm reading a conspiracy. How dare you, Allison . But anyways don't question me. Question the government. I don't know this shit. I just do the research. Also, aside from that astronaut's protective [00:24:00] gear, the space the spacecraft shielding was insufficient to protect against the radiation that was encountered.
[00:24:08] Allie: Skeptics suggest that if the radiation in the Van Allen belt was hazardous during the Apollos mission, subsequent manned missions would face similar risks. So, claim 4 to this. Why haven't we been back? Did they just Blow all their funds in the sixties. Some argue that the moon landings were authentic.
[00:24:31] Allie: Some argue that if the moon landings were authentic, there should have been a consistent pattern of return missions. The lack of recent manned moon landings indicates lack of capability. Skeptics argue that the infrequency of manned lunar missions raised doubts about the feasibility of sustaining human presence on the moon.
[00:24:53] Allie: Then this one's. Interesting, but some people also [00:25:00] claim. That in the reflection of the astronaut's helmet in the photos, there looks like it is a movie set being projected in his helmet. Okay. Like you see
[00:25:11] Dann: like a camera
[00:25:11] Allie: and stuff? So some conspiracy theorists say that the reflections visible in the astronaut's helmets during the moon landing look suspiciously like a movie set or studio equipment.
[00:25:23] Allie: Skeptics argue that the lighting and reflections resembles what one might find on a movie set rather than occurring in a natural lunar environment. The consistency of certain reflections across multiple images, fuel suspicion that they are not natural lunar surroundings, but rather elements of a stage production.
[00:25:45] Allie: I don't know if I necessarily believe this one, if it is actually. So, I don't know. I think the flag is the most compelling piece of argument there. I [00:26:00] don't, I've never been to the moon, so I don't know if a flag should be waving or not, but I wouldn't think that a flag would be waving there. My thoughts.
[00:26:09] Dann: I don't think there's definitely no air. Well, supposedly there's no air, right? And
[00:26:14] Allie: tell me how I'm supposed to breathe.
[00:26:16] Dann: I know Jordan Sparks. She knew about the moon. Maybe we should get Jordan Sparks on the phone to talk about the moon, right? But
[00:26:24] Allie: if you're
[00:26:25] Dann: listening, if you're listening, give us your take on the moon landing.
[00:26:29] Dann: Yeah, I don't I know there's like, radiate, like, there's like, radiation wins. Maybe, maybe it was. But I mean, we can't be that belt was blowing hard on the moon that day. We've
[00:26:39] Allie: been outside of Earth's atmosphere before and no astronauts have died. So like the fact that they're like, Oh, well you went outside the Earth's atmosphere and there should have been like radiation.
[00:26:52] Allie: Why didn't you die? I don't know. I don't think that's necessarily compelling evidence. And then as far as like the photos and stuff that [00:27:00] I've seen anyway, I don't necessarily see, see if I can find something. I don't necessarily see, see like, a camera or a stage setting. whAt I do see is what looks like the man holding, here we go.
[00:27:16] Allie: I zoom in on this. It does look like the man holding the flagpole. But I can understand why people could see a camera in that photo. I don't know, I don't have a good photo of it, but
[00:27:34] Dann: If you find one, we'll post it.
[00:27:36] Allie: Yeah, or you can just look it up yourself. That too. What is this?
[00:27:44] Allie: Here we go. Right?
[00:27:49] Allie: No? Okay, nevermind. Y'all can just look it up yourselves. I don't, I don't see a camera. I see a man holding a pole of some sort. But I think it's [00:28:00] probably the flag. The flagpole as he's putting it up. It, it, I understand how it could look like a camera tripod. I don't know. Yeah, like a boon. Yeah. All right.
[00:28:12] Allie: Well, I don't know. I think we're we finished our first episode. We're done. Nine, nine months.
[00:28:24] Dann: I know that was
[00:28:25] Allie: good. I can't believe it's been so long. It really has been a hectic
[00:28:28] Dann: year. I know. I remember the beginning of December. I was like, Oh, I can't believe it's a summer, but at least I got like 25 days to Christmas shop.
[00:28:36] Dann: And then I was
[00:28:37] Allie: like, no, not anymore. Although I did find, I have to, my parents don't even listen to this, so I'm fine. But I did find this like wine train tour. So they have a train that like stops at like three or four different wineries in like New Jersey area or Pennsylvania. I think I'm going to do the Pennsylvania one, but I was like, that is like the [00:29:00] perfect gift to get my parents.
[00:29:01] Allie: So I think we're going to do that as an experience, but I can't buy the tickets yet. So
[00:29:05] Dann: that's really cool. I've seen a lot of train things on like TikTok. Yeah, me too. Trains must be becoming cool again.
[00:29:11] Allie: There's one that's like. A glass ceiling completely. And like, you can like go during like fall and see the fall foliage all around you.
[00:29:18] Allie: And stuff. I was like, that
[00:29:20] Dann: looks so cool. But. I do love trains. Remember that train we went on in New Hampshire? I was just going to say
[00:29:24] Allie: that, yeah. We did a trip to New Hampshire one year to visit my parents and we Took a train tour while we were there. We were on the train for like an hour, just like watching and viewing the sites.
[00:29:37] Allie: And that was really cool. So I don't know, Daniel, what do you
[00:29:40] Dann: think? I think that was a
[00:29:42] Allie: great first episode. I thought it was a great start. I felt very comfortable. I missed this, like, feeling. Me
[00:29:48] Dann: too. I missed, I missed recording. I know. I was like, we've all, we've just been so busy. And I'm like, I was like, can we record?
[00:29:55] Dann: And you're like, let's put something on the calendar. And I was like, okay, okay. And I'm like, can we record? I was like, I need [00:30:00] a
[00:30:00] Allie: goal. To like work towards if we just say, let's record, I'm not going to do anything, but if we put like, okay, we're recording on this day, we're
[00:30:07] Dann: adults. I put it on the calendar and here we
[00:30:09] Allie: are.
[00:30:09] Allie: And I followed it. I followed it. We're here. We're
[00:30:12] Dann: business business professionals. Yes. But I think that was a great first episode. I think we should give ourselves a little cheers and cheers to our friends that are listening.
[00:30:23] Allie: I've been, like, sipping this wine like crazy, so I'm not gonna do,
[00:30:26] Dann: like I'm already, You can't see it because it's a green screen, but this is half gone.
[00:30:30] Dann: I don't know. I can't If you continue on to the next episode, you'll hear us divulge even more.
[00:30:36] Allie: Yeah, the reading is going to go progressively
[00:30:40] Dann: worse. The episode is just going to keep getting better and
[00:30:43] Allie: better. I'll see if I can go grab my cat for, like, the next episode so we can, like, showcase
[00:30:49] Dann: her. Okay. So.
[00:30:51] Dann: So then we'll just end this one here and thank you guys for listening.
[00:30:55] Allie: We one. And if you are still listening, thank you, thank you for the [00:31:00] continuous support, even though we took like a nine month break, but we're back, but I know, thank
[00:31:05] Dann: you guys so much for hanging in there. We're here,
[00:31:07] Allie: all the lessons and all the downloads doesn't mean a lot.
[00:31:11] Allie: It means that
[00:31:12] Dann: we love doing this too. And we know you guys like listening to it. So,
[00:31:15] Allie: yeah, it means what we're saying is not just to ourselves. People want to hear what we have to
[00:31:20] Dann: say. People want to hear about conspiracies.
[00:31:23] Allie: Yay! I know. Alright, well, until next time, or, Dan, until five minutes from now. Until
[00:31:30] Dann: two minutes from now.
[00:31:31] Dann: We'll see you guys later. Bye everyone! Bye! Bye!
