In this episode, a former college professor (Me!) talks about the sobering reality for US colleges and universities as it deals with a convergence of challenges. How we understand college is definitely about to change - and maybe that's OK. This is truly, in my view, a perfect of storm of certain disruption for higher education.
I also imagine what I'd tell my 18-year-old self if I could speak with him (in the past or present) at the risk of an incursion, to tell him how I'd navigate college in uncertain times. I think there are fundamental skills that the college environment can help one develop to survive in just about any era.
