Sketching Alaska's Environment - Max Romey
Show Notes

Max Romey is an artist, filmmaker, producer, educator, and environmental advocate.  Growing up dyslexic in Alaska and upstate New York, Max always struggled to share the outdoors with words, so he turned to his sketchbook and camera. Max graduated from Service High and Western Washington University. After years of freelance filmmaking abroad, he returned to Alaska to make a difference at home. Using his unique blend of watercolors and filmmaking, he is working to highlight complex environmental problems affecting his Alaskan community, from marine debris in Katmai to warming winters in Anchorage and advocating for the Alaska Long Trail.
