Southern Association Intentional Pass Rule for 1934 Season

Southern Association club directors passed a new rule in 1933 that startled the baseball world. It was intended to eliminate the intentional pass, especially those issued to power hitters.

It did not last long, but listen as I describe the controversial rule, giving two bases to runners in certain situations.
