They written on the field of grass, oval of dirt and hearted turf. The Andrew in sweat swarm with hushin and sitting in the moments of crushing defeats. This is aren't just games. They are deep-seated futures that have been passed down like family, hair loose, defeating, glorations, creating heroes and villains, and forgetting a passion that feels nature right down the middle. This is a look back at icon rivals that made a strange sport what it's today. There's a lot of contests that goes up on and beyond their scoreboard, embalcing themselves into the social features of the country. There are the reasons for Fanley's agreement for an endless workplace banded and for the price that runs so deeply than just a sport. So it's beginning to select one of the ashes, the birth of the rival. So it is huge in Australia in cricket. Our stories start not just a roar but with a joke. Back in 1982, after Australia pointing off its first ever test victory against England on there in London, newspaper policy are certifiers of eating it. What a beginning as the price of dry England wit adjusted, spoken on one of the oldest and most insanely rivaled in of all sport. The symbol of the century long fills it's a tiny tetanny and burning sit inches tall and said to connate the ashes of a burnt wooden barley bell bile. It's a price you almost never see an ever official handed it over yet. Respectfully everything history, respected and burning, defined to beat the old enemy. This rival is targeted up in our colourful history and a natural pride. For Australians, it was a chance to prove we were more than just a outpost. For England, it was more about keeping the nature ordered. The testant famously biled over during the 1990 32 33 body line series to put it simple. England aggressively bowling was like a box of decade to imagine the rules and just swinging from the head. It was seen as physical at scenes that went against the spirit of the game. It because of a full-blown adjustment, creating genius anger between two natures. Over the years, legends were for in the fire of the contest. Sir Domin's brand man was his ridiculous of 99.94 batting average. Come one of the souls of Australian hope during the Great Depression, a master who toured England bowling for two decades. Then came the errors of dominate swing back and forth, light heavyweight, light titled fight. You had the foursome Ashes Aussie pride attack of the 17th and 19th, followed by the unforgetting 2005 series in England, a contest gripping that many still call the greatest test series ever played. This day, the ashes remain the principle of sporting drama. After more than 70 hard forfeit series, the league is its unbeatable target. Australia has won 34, England has 32. So it's pretty pretty simple and very well balanced. 66 they made. Seven have ended in a draw, which is 60 73 times, proving just how every match this battle contest has been. It's a rival that has bonded and flown, but it's never lost the fire first lift by my opulence over 140 years. Okie dokie. So hopefully you enjoy so much. Now we come to another one that we last time go and check out the greatest or station rugby episode is all about those rivals, ladies and gentlemen. We are here and hope you enjoy much as I am. We come to Ford vs. Honda. The mountain war. Away from the footy field and away from a ride of bang for age and still smoke and noise. For more than half a century, Australia was the natural spirit down the middle by Tutars brands. You were either red or you were blue. Holding versus forward. I just mentioned in the intro that's then. This wasn't just about the car in your driveway. It was like choosing a flag to fly. It was a tribute identity. And the Matabar beating ground battleground for this war was for massively forgetting stripped of tattery off in the country. The found standing on showrooms, boards in the sixties at board balcons and holding Metro Battle for the hearts and wallets of a strange family. But it wasn't on the racetrack that the rival became legacy. The mount mentor was simple. When on Sunday sell on Monday. When on Sunday sell on Monday, cars maintain pride huge money in their crafting bar thing special. Hired professionals before very of their family sadly build for one reason. To coronite the mountains. This rival great god for the Holden for Fae. There was only one king. Peter bro Peter Perfect, the king of the mountains, won the greatest race. I reckon nine times ever since one Holden won Dassonate through the 70s and 80s, mate, his natural hero and the face of the red lion. For the blue oval, his naturals was Alan. The hard chasing Canoner. He fought Falcon was a contested threat in 1977. One or two finish was the mount and his teammate crossing the line in the formation is one of the most icon common image in the Aussie model sport. The rival was so deep, select the many years that ruled our V8 supercars, HUD station errors, only Ford, Falcons, and Holden Commodores could complete for the win at the Bar Blast. Local cars maintain food has since ended, and the official Holden brand is gone with its final factory fork race in 2022. But the passion has hasn't died. It lived on the heart of fans and Ebone Legends Red vs. Blue and White the Blue Ogle. Faithful will never emit Holden. Still holds their unbelievable breeding right at the melting. The Red Lion has 36 bar flows of thousands wins. Two Fords 23. With 13 plus apart. Our fat food fans are painful. Reminder of every single October. So there you have it. Hope you enjoy it. This is now could be our last. Stay tuned because there's more to come. We now come to the battleground of the AFL. That's it, the Australian football, Aussie rules, football, wherever you want. AFL. That's when we come. Rivals get personal. We are talking postcode by postcodes. Trigger that feels emotion. The AFL. It's even official rival round for Hall Weekend. Dialing to those bitter showdowns. In South Australia, and that's where we are in Adelaide. They call it showdown. When the Adelaide codes first put Adelaide power, the city defies. There is no mental rival. It's a genial of official, honest clash. It's like two bushes of two bunch of the same family who have been fighting emotionally of the great burning field history and on and off of the AF4 footy field. This long journey started when Port Adelaide Power even joined the National League in 1997. Winning the show down campfield bigger than winning a final common sense, there is a lot of that. So there you have it. Over in Victoria, the sports heartlandy builds up, even older and just bears. The class between Carlton and Collingwood. My goodness, this is one of the oldest and Richard's blue blood rivals. Think of it like its future between two animated riding horses built on one than a century of grand finals. Showens players, punchles and pills on Philip Hartford. And then the game has its spin. The new battles lines has been drawn. Queensland has its Q-clash between Brisbane, Lloyd, and the Golka Suns. Sydney has Sydney Derby between Sydney's ones and G D's Giants. There's so many and one of the all we'll share very shortly. So these rivals are the youngest light turf war between the new game of block, but they are getting more interest every year. Proving that in the AFL Grocering every that, but nothing matters more than a beating your own neighbors. And I forgot one of the most inquiry is the Western Derby as well. So there you have it. Well, from the scared scrounds from the MCG, the stay on origin, which I shared last time. And then we go to Mount Pamford, the rivals, then more than the sport. Then we had the mage of South Australians, which we never checked the best showdowns in football history. So that's all we have for today. But here's a funny thing. In a way, all this divides in all villages aren't meted. It shares a language of passion, a comment of history, written by heroes, by heroes and villains. We all love to celebrate a miracle, a comeback, a lifeblood, a family versus family, team by team in this strange sport. It's ensuring that the games are never just a game. It's just a story that you always will always share. Well, what is the greatest rival moment you had today? And what is your favorite one? It's a classic form you miss? Let us know.
