What does it mean practically to fear the Lord?
Jesus said “If you love Me, keep My commandments.” (John 14:15) There’s the definition of loving God. You cannot love God and consistently disobey or ignore His commands.
When we refuse to obey, we become an enemy of God. James 4:4 says that if we are friends with the world what they do, we become the enemy of God.
God won’t force us to obey, we have a choice in the matter. But oh the rewards of making the right choice! This is where we bring our topic of angels back in. Angels fear the Lord. Angels obey His commands completely. And God will send His angels to help those of us who do the same.
