Show Notes

Use "Yes, And," now in your biz to help keep conversations going and encourage creative thinking.

Have you ever seen Actors doing those ridiculous acting warm-ups preparing to go on set?

Well Neal is no stranger to these techniques since he was an actor and improv comedy performer in LA for 10 years.

Neal Studied Improv and  Sketch comedy at ACME Comedy and The Groundlings Theater in LA for many years He also has a degree in theater the studied across the 3 Universitas he attended: ASU, Emerson and UNH. Neal had a few small breaks in TV and Film as a Ryan Seacrest Look alike on Jimmy Kimmel Live, and in the opening scene in an Adam Sandler Film "Reign Over Me," but predominantly Spent most of his time on stage in front of live Audiences performing both Improv. and Sketch Comedy.

Neal seems to think some of what he learns in performing can apply to your business. He even has Rachel on board :-)Recently Rachael and Neal have discussed some of the virtues of lessons learned from Improv and Acting that actually apply to better communication and sales for your business.

Are you open Minded? If so, you are going to find some value in this episode. As in all things acting and Improv you have to do it in a safe space where you can experiment and take risks. Here a good quote on that note:

“Theatre is the safe place to do the unsafe things that need to be done.”-John Patrick Shanley

So have a listen and maybe try some of these exercises with your team or partner to get out of your head and start really listening to begin having better conversations with your clients and friends alike.

Sound Crazy? Well strap into  your favorite white  jacket  because  here comes Act 1 Scene 1..."Yes And." :-)
