Training, Fighting, and Lifestyle Changes

Speaker 1

We bike , yeah , buddy .

Speaker 2

These are my favorite podcasts when everybody's in the same room .

Speaker 3

Yeah bro , it's always a different vibe yeah when you said , like you can FaceTime , I went nah , I gotta be there for it .

Speaker 1

Yeah , for real dude , especially when you're coming back on the show . Dude , you got to be here .

Speaker 3

Yeah , I like the environment .

Speaker 2

Just in case anybody's wondering Miles White , lightning McDonald's .

Speaker 1

ladies and gentlemen , yeah , before we get started and I cut you off just because I wanted it to get on here we were talking about your power dude , because I watched your videos and stuff .

Speaker 2

Okay .

Speaker 1

And you were talking about it like you're trying to like , tie it all together . What's that like ? What does that mean for you ?

Speaker 3

Well , I've obviously had a lot of time off and I mean I can carry all that power throughout fights and stuff , yeah , but there's a big difference between having power and actually landing your shots . So I mean , with the time off I've had just been working on my boxing , trying to put it together like a real fighter , like be precise in my shots , not wasting energy , being like thoughtful about how I'm approaching it and everything . So training's different . I feel like I'm more it and everything . So training's different .

Speaker 3

I feel like I'm more powerful than I was before for sure , and uh , obviously a lot more um knowledgeable of the game now because I've had more time to think about it , not only train , especially during my time , like being hurt so yeah it's helped me a lot honestly in in a way .

Speaker 1

I got to like give it to you , though , because like how do you fucking do that without a proper trainer ? Like you got to be spending so much time watching all kinds of people fight , right ? I mean like .

Speaker 3

Yeah , I mean you watch fights , you do the fighting . You know , like I think on our last podcast we had , I was telling you we talked about that , we touched on that about not having the trainer . So what we do is a lot of live stuff . But kind of how that's changed now is like , with the injuries I've had , that's kind of been accumulated through that live stuff and obviously , however much important it is , like I've got to stay , stay healthy . So we all have come together with our different skill sets and we kind of coach each other . You know like we're teammates and we're all training but like we are coaching each other . So whatever we can take from the other person , that's what we do . Um , I mean , uh , we like we do also obviously take what we can from that . But there's also very good outlets out there , like a site called Dynamic Striking . They have so many different instructional videos that we've been watching . For instance , there's a coach named Barry Robinson . I don't know if you guys know who Bo Nickel is .

Speaker 1

UFC fighter .

Speaker 3

Well , he's a big up and comer . He actually trains under Barry Robinson , but Barry Robinson has all these instructional videos for striking on the site , so we use stuff like that while we don't have coaches .

Speaker 2

Speaking of which , there's a fight tonight , right guys ? Is it pay perper-view ? Yep , what time is it ?

Speaker 3

Main card starts at 9 .

Speaker 2

Oh , we're not going to be sitting here that long ? Okay , never mind . I thought if it was going to be close . I thought you know what I could , probably just if it wasn't outrageous , it's just 3 o'clock .

Speaker 3

There might be early prelims starting soon .

Speaker 2

That shit might be on Hulu . I will look . But yeah , man , I meant to ask has , like your Through actually training hard and being more disciplined , like you said , and more purposeful In your training methods and stuff , do you think it's changed you ? Has it changed your perspective ? A little bit on , like the flight game , like a year in About a little over a year , right , a little over a year in from the last time you were here .

Speaker 3

Yeah , I mean , everything has really changed for me . I mean when was the last time we talked .

Speaker 2

It was on the last season .

Speaker 1

It was like summertime .

Speaker 3

It was before my third fight .

Speaker 2

It was late spring . It was late spring , I believe , because it was like three weeks after right tie .

Speaker 3

Well , what I think ? From my memory , I think it was after the second fight at some point , and I had a fight coming up that summer , if I remember , but that's when I destroyed my knee for the third time .

Speaker 1

Through training .

Speaker 3

Yes , so a lot has happened since that time , you know , yeah , um , but yeah , my , my mindset on fighting life , the , my methods of training have all changed everything since that time , so definitely man like , because I I listen to , obviously like every , every dude my age .

Speaker 2

I listen to a lot of Joe Rogan and one thing that every fighter or every fitness person that he has on , ever talks about is how much of a lifestyle and slash lifestyle change , more than More , than it's less , of preparing to fight , more of a way you live and kind of always being prepared and learning when to ramp up your training at the right time . Yeah , it's admirable , because it's Excuse me , it's definitely something I can do . I was trying to find because I saw a poster for fight coverage . They're probably not going to show the fight , but at least it's being covered , yeah , man . So what's new man ? What else ? What have we been up to ?

Speaker 3

you know , uh , obviously , training away , working kind of just live in life , um , we obviously kind of laid out a new game plan for , like me , my brother and everyone that's trained with us , trying to figure out a way once I start getting back to back in the cage to um build on that . You know , maybe build a real gym , build something where people can actually come and we can bring people in and create a team . You know , that's something that we've kind of been in the thought process of at least , and that stuff will kick off a lot more once I get back into action .

Speaker 1

So , dude , it all starts as an idea , though . Yeah , you know what I mean . Who like do you ? Does everybody on your team fight too , or are they just training ?

Speaker 3

No , everyone's just training ever . So , really , right now it's just noah alec and ryan um shout out to the boys yeah , shout out to the boys , I want to be here shout out shout out but , um , they all have capabilities of fighting and if they wanted to I'm sure they'd be successful , but it's just like I don't think that that's really on their mind at the time being . Um , noah's really invested in jiu-jitsu , which he's been a very big help on the ground game for that stuff .

Speaker 3

Hell yeah , and then Alec very good striker . He was actually probably the most into it in the beginning , but he still trains . I don't think that he's as interested in it like actually getting in the cage . I'm sure he still thinks about it . 100 , and ryan same thing . He 100 thinks about it .

Speaker 1

I just don't know if they if they really have the desire to do it , but they definitely could if they wanted to you think there's like gotta be like some kind of mind switch to from like being just somebody who trains to somebody who's like actually getting in the cage . You think there's like a little bit of a mental difference in those people .

Speaker 3

Oh yeah , I mean you really got to want to get in there and you got to want to compete against another person , you know , I mean it's not like a 30-second bar fight you know what I mean . It's like you were preparing for a war in there . You know People are going to be watching .

Speaker 1

And nobody's like pulling you off until you're absolutely fucking done .

Speaker 2

Are you on ESPN ?

Speaker 3

Yeah , I'm trying to get on . You can definitely get the prelims and the early prelims .

Speaker 2

Yeah , I think that's what this is .

Speaker 2

These are the prelims right here yeah , man , I've been , I've been , I've been like in football mode for like the last few months because , because of my son and stuff and my sons and coaching , but mainly watching uh , my , my older son played his first year in varsity . He got some snaps . They were limited , but I'm really , as his level of involvement athletically in sports is going up , I'm starting to see the level of commitment it takes just even to be a high school athlete , high school athlete , and then you rewind that and double back . You know what I'm saying . And think about professionally , it's like a hell of a commitment . You know what I'm saying .

Speaker 2

And , like , as with every industry right now , everybody has two jobs , everybody has something they're doing to like fund their dream . You know what I'm saying . It's not really physically or financially , fiscally whatever word you want to use possible anymore to be like , yeah , I'm abandoning working and everything unless you have a hell of a support system , which is necessary . Everybody , every successful person , has a phenomenal team behind them . But like , the point I'm making is like it's harder now , like so , like I mean , do you feel like juggling ? Do you feel like you know what I'm trying to say ? Juggling , juggling your uh , professional life with trying to fight and actually be successful and put in the time to hone the craft and give yourself a shot to actually do something with it . Like what would it take for you to like be like I'm walking away , I'm done ?

Speaker 3

well , you touched on it right away was financially from your job , though yeah , yeah , like if I was to break away .

Speaker 3

Well , that's obviously that's actually in the point like been taken a lot more seriously as of late , especially since I decided that I am coming back . You know , like you said , you've got to have the right support and the right game plan to get out of that . You know , because , like , it's not just all fun and games . If I'm going to commit to this , it's got to be all in and all out . You know what I mean . Obviously , you got to get the right support around you . I think that will all be a lot more clear once I get in there . Obviously , my last fights have been amateur , but this one will be a pro fight . Nothing's set yet , but it will be a pro fight . Pro fight , um , nothing's set yet , but it will be a pro fight and um , that will set me to new heights , new uh , maybe sponsorships , promotions just and that'll get me on a faster track from that .

Speaker 3

But yeah , you can't just ditch it like that , you know are you worried about pushing yourself too hard ? Well , yeah , I mean I have . I mean every fight camp I had I got hurt , pushing myself too hard or just trying or stressing myself out through just day-to-day training , going to work , having to juggle everything . You know like you got your your own personal life , your dream , and then your professional work and it it gets heavy on you you know , know , do you think ?

Speaker 2

because , just for those who don't know what was the injury you were coming back from , oh , so this was in the process .

Speaker 3

We were training for my third fight . It was a title fight . The plan was it would be my last amateur fight and I was going to win that title and go pro . So like everything was full swing . We were just doing our typical live drilling , we were doing takedowns , you know . So one of my buddies he just shot in , smoked my left knee , which same thing has happened three times , but this one is a little more severe . My kneecap pops over .

Speaker 2

same situation as the other ones .

Speaker 3

No think of three times in your life grabbing your kneecap over same situation as the other ones . No think of three times in your life grabbing your kneecap and pulling it back .

Speaker 3

I was sitting there and it was really painful . Every time I've had it happen it's been painful , but this one I was laying there . I was like yeah , this is different and I kind of we kind of sat out a little like two weeks so I was like maybe I can do this , because I did it for my second fight . I did the same thing , but it wasn't as severe . Anyways , two weeks went by . I'm like dude , I can't bend down , I can't do nothing .

Recovery and Training Process

Speaker 3

I had to reluctantly pull out of the fight and it has been a process . I mean , I got my MRI done and there was some pretty severe cartilage damage , something that kind of like you're kind of stuck with and , um , obviously , um , my mcl , my acl were damaged but no surgery was .

Speaker 3

No surgery was needed for like meniscus acl or mcl , even though they were . They're a little banged up from what the reading was showing . And then I just have been doing some rehab through knees , over toes and I actually dealt with another injury after that , but it's not as severe , but I had some pretty severe turf toe .

Speaker 2

It's not as severe . It definitely feels as painful . What is that ?

Speaker 3

What's turf toe . Well , turf toe . It started off , I guess turf toe . I don't know if any of you have had it before .

Speaker 2

I've never even heard of that . It's just like it's ruined a bunch of my fantasy football seasons . Yeah , no like .

Speaker 3

They say just a toe and stuff , but you actually see , like high-level athletes be severely yeah , you need it to plant , to pivot , to balance .

Speaker 2

It's crazy on your toe .

Speaker 3

And so what happened was I got that . Well then , one night I just regular night go to , or actually this one day , my toe was really hurting . I was like , dude , this is , like this , different . I wasn't doing anything on it , really just walking . One night I go to bed 12 hours of excruciating my . My foot was swollen to the max and I felt like I literally was . I'm a grown man and I was damn near crying the entire night .

Speaker 3

Dude , and severe pain , which was a gout attack , so like like I was dealing with my knee at this point . Then my toe gets jacked up and I lost like . At one point my left leg looked like a noodle .

Speaker 2

I meant to ask you that because , like every time I have my old man joint pains , I think I'm falling into arthritis Onk , ain't that old man ? I just lived hard , you feel me ? The 90s was nice , anyway , I was going to ask you that has it affected the peripheral muscles ? You know what I'm saying ? Because if your knee's fucked up , your hamstrings are kind of in danger of overcompensating for certain things , and then you're compromising those oh , let's look at the calves . And then you're compromising those oh , let's look at the calves .

Speaker 4

And then you had the toe so you're pretty much dead leg everywhere .

Speaker 2

Your hips gotta be feeling that the more you walk , I don't know what you do for like everyday uh work , but man , that's gotta suck yeah I , I work , a labor job yeah , so that's hard work , so like that's like that's why I've been out so long . I mean good fitness , but it'll slow your recovery up .

Speaker 3

It's just been a long process . I'm not going to get into the whole thing , but it's just been long mentally , physically , emotionally . I just went through a lot of stuff trying to get this back . As of right now , boys , I'm feeling pretty dang good . I have a goal in mind when I'm going to be officially set my leg's getting back , so like things are feeling good . But yeah , it's been a process . What do you think is harder ?

Speaker 1

coming back , physically or mentally , from something like that .

Speaker 3

I mean they're both hard .

Speaker 1

They're both hard , but for me , Because it's going to fuck with you , right , yeah ?

Speaker 3

For me . I've always been that guy that enjoyed competition and enjoyed working out and stuff . So like that part it sucked being set behind , you know , but like I enjoyed doing that stuff so it wasn't too hard . But mentally , bro , that was something that like I just never really been through before .

Speaker 4

Yeah .

Speaker 1

Like because like you can't .

Speaker 3

I always pictured myself as this fearless guy that could go in there , invincible and stuff . And then now I'm looking in the mirror like dude what even am I anymore ? Yeah .

Speaker 2

And I think the thing about it is like you have your dreams , like what you want to achieve , trying to be ready for to fight I don't know if you had this fight in your crosshairs at that moment , but like fight I don't know if you had this fight in your crosshairs at that moment , but like you're starting to wonder like about are you going to be ready in time ? But then also knee complications , like them , surgeries , first of all , you're worried about infection and when you get past that stage you're worried about setbacks in rehab . You know I'm saying I'm talking like I'm a you know what I'm saying assistant nurse somewhere , Because JJ McCarthy is going through that and he has the best top level doctors Just had an MCL situation and then he started rehab and got off the crutches and shit and then unexpected swelling . So now you got to make a laceration to make sure everything is structurally good .

Speaker 2

You're like insane . Remember Sheree Floyd and all Yep . They're botchable too , and those are world-class doctors , yeah that's what I'm saying . That's why I go under the knife right there .

Speaker 3

I'm not saying I don't trust doctors and stuff .

Speaker 2

It's not even the doctors . I think there's just a chance every time you go under the knife that it could be successful or it could be unsuccessful . Now , maybe your doctor's experience and where you're at and the factors surrounding that might raise or lower those chances . But there is a chance . You know what I'm saying . There's a chance that when you leave the high and then you got to work , you know . So there's a chance that after your little six weeks or nine weeks or whatever athletic size we deserve I don't know how they do it these days Thank God I haven't got to use that shit yet but you know , like once that is up and you got to go back to work , just that alone increases the chances of something going wrong . So , yeah , it's definitely . I definitely could see the grind part of that .

Speaker 1

Yeah , dude , I was gonna ask what like ? What's it like ? Because I hear joe rogan say like when people have an injury they're kind of scared to use like a lot of people break their shins or something from those kicks and stuff and they get kind of like worried to use that . How have you been like using your leg more and more in training like did it ? Obviously it started slow yeah , but like yeah you think you're back closer to full power with that leg , or um , getting closer , I don't .

Speaker 3

I want to say I'm completely 100 back and I'd say a big reason of that is because the toe part surprisingly , the knee I feel pain but it's like it's . So it's super manageable and I feel like the more I build the muscle around it's not gonna be such an issue . But it's like the more I build the muscle around it it's not going to be such an issue . It's like the using of the toe . It seems so funny to say , but it's right on the ground .

Speaker 3

It's real your first motion of power right through there . To answer your question , the mental part of training doesn't affect me . Honestly , in the beginning it did . It was a slow process , but now once we get going it's not even on my mind . It really isn't when we're actually training . So I mean just day-to-day stuff . I can feel it , whatever , but like once you kind of get the blood pumping and you're going , I I don't even think about it so , dude , so you go to work eight hours a day and then go home ?

Speaker 3

yeah , work eight hours a day and then go home and train . Yeah , work eight hours a day and then go home , train , eat , sleep .

Speaker 1

How long ?

Speaker 3

are you training each day ? There's a difference . It depends . Some days it will be a lot more hard , other days it will just be drilling , going through movements and stuff , but usually at least an hour to an hour and a half training every night .

Speaker 1

Do you guys work up a schedule together or something ?

Speaker 3

Yep , we all kind of work together on what we got going on . We have ideas of how we want to go about the week and then we just kind of work whatever that day we're feeling like we'll go for it the schedule isn't as set when you're out of camp , so we're just kind of doing what works and how we feel and go from that .

Speaker 1

What are the camps ? Do you go somewhere for that , or are you ?

Speaker 3

guys like we do that right in my garage or in my basement .

Speaker 1

What's that Like , how , like , how long is it ? What does it kind of include ?

Speaker 3

Like like a camp or just kind of what we're doing .

Speaker 2

No , just a camp , like if you're doing a camp if we're going to do dedicated role yeah , it's more about the regiment right than a place you go to yeah , yeah , the regiment is the most important um we got we got some pretty good equipment , got enough room um like I said we would love to have our own thing , and that will be way more of a reality once I get going more again .

Speaker 3

But right now , like with the amount of guys we got and just um what we have on hand . Everything works out really well for us , so yeah , I saw that um .

Speaker 1

Is it a speed bag ?

Speaker 3

the one that like oh , that's a reflex bag reflex . I just got that dude , I just got that hey , that's .

Speaker 1

It's hard to learn how to use that shit , or like does it kind of swing back at you .

Speaker 2

Is that why it's called ? I don't think you saw it .

Speaker 1

I haven't seen it yet like and that why it's called a I don't think he saw it .

Speaker 2

I haven't seen it yet . Like , and that's the thing . Like man I've been fascinated with like fight sports and shit , and like by that I mean because my kids wrestle and I watch like boxing and like MMA stuff , the UFC on TV , like I'm Press play if you want to see .

Speaker 3

Oh , let's see that that's the cobra bag or the reflex bag .

Speaker 4

Oh shit , I like that shit because it swings back .

Speaker 3

Yeah we just added . I just added that , so that that's something that obviously we've been working on the boxing a lot . I really want to nail down my boxing , but that tool that's like three months or two or three months after the fact that I got it .

Speaker 4

Damn .

Speaker 3

And it just I like that .

Speaker 2

I like that . It kind of helps you keep the person Dude . You look really good . Yeah , that's dope .

Speaker 1

Dude , you look really fucking good using that thing .

Speaker 2

Yeah , he's Jack too . No ditty , no ditty .

Speaker 1

Yeah , what's your weight at right now ?

Speaker 3

I'm about it depends . It depends like 178 to 180 .

Speaker 2

What weight class would that be ?

Speaker 3

I mean , if I was going to fight at weight , I mean I cut down to 155 . But you guys know , like the whole weight cutting for MMA , no fighter weighs what they on fight night . No fighter weighs what they weighed in at . So I'm a little bit bigger now than I have been , so like the weight cut's going to be a little bit bigger now than I have been . Um , so like the weight cuts going to be a little bit harder . But I've dealt with it before . The weight cuts sucks probably more than the fight , but , um , so what class do you fight in then 155 .

Speaker 3

I started at 170 , but , believe it or not , I'm a little small for 170 . So , really well , I at 180, .

Speaker 1

I'd be a small one . If I put on 10 more pounds , I got to like 190 or something . You're talking not small . You're talking like small relative to mass .

Speaker 2

Yeah , because like not the thing about it is if you I think , if you cut , you would actually probably look more jacked oh yeah , for sure because , like you're , it's the same output and muscle weighs less . So you will have to actually put on a little bit of muscle , more muscle like I mean , when for mma fighters they're not , they they'll probably you don't need to be freaking . Sexy dude , no diddy , god damn it you don't need to be sexy .

Speaker 4

It's functional muscles , it's functional muscles .

Speaker 2

no , that no , but you get . You get what I'm saying . It's not a beast . We're not putting tanning lotion on to go punch a motherfucker in the face . You know what I'm saying . This is like functional muscle , the result of and that's what makes jacked fighters impressive , like there's a few like at the upper echelons of , like your sport , that are like it's impressive because this is not just cake muscle , man , this is not flour whipped cream muscle . Like it's functional . Yeah , this is not llama muscle right here , this is bison Bison . Shout out lo-fi llamas man . I hope y'all went and checked that out . Man , anybody that's actually a regular listener .

Speaker 2

Yeah , bro , not on the time time I gotta go hit him up yeah , from a couple episodes from a couple episodes ago , my boy , obi-wan jacoby . You know I'm saying yeah , man , but uh , I meant to ask like , so the team around you , do you have any aspiring fighters other than your brother and yourself that is around you like , or have you made any other connections in that realm that you know resources , that kind of help people to train with ?

Speaker 3

yeah , I've definitely um met people . I've definitely uh found people that I definitely could link up with , train with and stuff . I just never have , really never , reached out . Um . People always ask like are you gonna move , you're gonna train , are you gonna go somewhere ? I love that idea um . The more I grow in this , in this , I obviously think about it a lot more .

Speaker 2

But um , I do like the fact that , like I can run things the way I want to run it , you know yeah , but also , like , have you ever thought about like doing what like the teenagers do for football , like making a connection and go somewhere and like do like a month or a month and a half camp where you're like staying at a location and when you come back you can , you know , kind of recover , slash , build on what you picked up there ? I know these things cost money , bro , because , like I said , my perspective on all these type of things is of is like a parent of a high school athlete and , um man , he's good , which is . I'm thankful for that , because could you imagine putting all that money Into something and this motherfucker sucks ? You know what I'm saying .

Speaker 4

Like Nah , man , I'm just Would you tell your kid he sucks . Nah , I'll tell him you need to try harder .

Speaker 3

But now I'm just Maybe try something different .

Speaker 4

Nah , right , nah , but Lucky for me , let's pick up an instrument , yeah .

Speaker 2

Lucky for me , both of them have been like good from jump at whatever they .

Early Athletic Foundation Success

Speaker 2

You know , my , my younger son , didn't even want to wrestle at first , his , his , um , his first match . Now , never forget this . I mean it's kind of mma related , so it's hilarious .

Speaker 2

My first son , he started around maybe six , maybe even before he was six , wrestling but he had , he had great coaches and shit . Like it was just his first . Maybe five or six tournaments or seven or something like that were around here . The eighth one was like a national tournament and he almost won that bitch . He was like within a couple points of winning that shit and it was like a natural . So for him it was easy football , a natural . But my other kid , football , oh , he loved that shit . His first wrestling tournament , him and the boy got in the ring together . The first one he got frustrated , he got beat , not like he didn't get pinned or nothing , but he got beat . The second one him and the kid had had enough . They got in the ring and it was like all right , I mean on the mat and he was like all right and they both just looked at each other . They were like they started crying and they hugged each other .

Speaker 4

They were like , oh , I don't want to do this .

Speaker 2

Now it's two six-year-olds and me and his dad . We looked at each other . We're like , yeah , we know . So we picked them up , we calmed them down and then we took them both to the center of the ring , I mean to the other mat , because I didn't want to discourage them . I put both their hands up , like , okay , we're calling it a tie , Let . But that was that experience . So he took like a couple of years off and now he's an animal too . So but I couldn't imagine like , could you imagine like pushing your child ? If they weren't good , I won't push him . Would you like ? Would you actually ? How far would you ? Would you go to try to make your son not quit something .

Speaker 3

I mean if you want to . I don't have a kid , but like I would imagine I have nephews , you know , but I would imagine the way you want to go . Don't have a kid , but like I would imagine I have nephews , you know , but I would imagine the way you'd want to go about it . It's just push them in a fun way , like , come on , you can do , you know . Like really , because at that age it's all about just getting them involved you know , getting them involved and letting them experience life like these put in sports .

Speaker 3

Just let them have fun , you know I got lucky .

Speaker 2

I got lucky . They like to do that type of shit . But but my , my other son also likes video games . But also I've seen little boys that like dolls and stuff . But they'll also strap on some fucking sneakers and they'll ball out with the best of them . So but like I , I've always . That's always been a fine line to me . I actually actually had that argument with my baby's moms the other day , like they have a habit of looking at brackets . Now I understand , trying to gauge and kind of see you know who's , but they go on track rest .

Speaker 4

Oh , this bracket is going be crazy . Well , I'm like why the fuck do we go to that depth ? Go look at the names , don't put it in the motherfucking fighter's head . And I know it wrestling is they're not punching each other , but it's still a . Mentally , it doesn't matter how good you are if you decide this motherfucker is a dog before you go out there . Somebody's got to beat the dog , right ? You don't ? You don't become .

Speaker 2

We already know it's an established fact . You knew this coming in . Any endeavor you do you do in life , right , even if you're the programming computers , there's a dog out there and if you're gonna beat him you gotta out , program out , box out , run out , swim , whatever . You know what I'm saying . And it brings out the dogging motherfuckers like that guy that I don't want to say the wrong name , man Y'all . I'm African and I'm old man . First of all , my accent be making it hard for motherfuckers to understand what I'm saying .

Speaker 2

And then if I say the wrong shit , man , I got to remember to log in and show you the few comments . Because of the different platforms , the comments are scattered , but motherfuckers be roasting my accent man . They're like where did y'all get ? What's the other one ?

Speaker 4

Not the good prince coming to America . Not the good one , sammy . They call me Sammy . Where the fuck did y'all get this bootleg ?

Speaker 2

wish Sammy , I've been called Timu Timu , whatever prince . Yeah , they be roasting me on there . I think it's the same person you know . I'm saying I'm gonna get her . I don't actually think you have that heavy of an accent maybe yeah , but sometimes it pops out , especially if we're uh indulging in anything . It starts to pop out anyway , but like it's it's . I can't remember what I was saying . I did the Trump , I did the Weave . Ladies and gentlemen , you know what I'm saying , but what were we talking about ?

Speaker 3

You were mentioning someone .

Speaker 2

Oh yeah , I hate when , when you try to decide , somebody is better than you before you start Anything .

Speaker 1

How did you deal with that with your first fight ? Did you watch like film of the guy or anything ? Oh yeah , I watched .

Speaker 3

I had film on all the guys except the last one , because he's more of like a jiu-jitsu specialist . So I did watch his jiu-jitsu matches and stuff . But you start watching him , you start getting a little psyched out and everything . You start watching them , you start getting a little psyched out and everything . But you just got to trust in yourself . I mean what you see of someone else or what their record shows , like really at the end of the day , when you're walking in to compete in anything , it's like what have I done for this moment ?

Speaker 3

Because like no matter how scary or how large that opponent is in front of you , it's you . It's you versus them . It's not like this whole world versus you . So you really got to focus in on what you're doing . So when that moment comes , are you going to look back and say dang , I wish on that day I trained . I wish on that day I didn't do this or that . If you can look back and say , dang , I was dialed in . Dude , you take so much weight off your shoulders , no matter what you're doing .

Speaker 2

Oh yeah , like I think the importance of like all these , like starting early , the importance of having a foundation in wrestling or some type of like fight related um , discipline is like necessary , um . Are there a lot of people you come across who have never , who never wrestled in their lives , who are just like you know , never had any real fight experience ? Have you come across a lot of people that actually are successful as fighters without prior experience ?

Speaker 3

um , yeah , personally people , I know I actually how like no one never wrestled growing up I mean , I think , maybe like a year or something I mean everybody did wrestling club when they were seven years old , you know . Yeah , but well , it's good to start young because , like especially anything you start young , you kind of put in your bloodstream . Yeah for real but yeah , I've met people like that and there's actual famous athletes , Like you guys know Francis Nagano , Mm-hmm . I didn't start training anything .

Life Stories and Transitions

Speaker 2

That's a one-percenter though His story . 22 or something , his story , anything that's the . That's a one percenter though his story . His story is wild , bro , like his pre-fight life . I think kind of fighting is like maybe some of the easiest shit he's done in his life .

Speaker 1

How come you don't look like that , huh ?

Speaker 4

how come I don't look like that , bro , look , look I my mom when I was look , I was born . He lived over there when I was young .

Speaker 2

See , okay , I was , look , I was born . That's how many lived over there when I was young . See , okay , here's the thing when he was born . Where he was born and where he came up is kind of the extreme of the harsh life . I grew up , I was born in the city . My parents were like bachelor masters , educated people . They had up and coming jobs and , yeah , there were times when we lived in like rougher neighborhoods . You get to kind of see the balance in life even after you make it . Man , lagos was kind of a city where there's kind of like a big middle part where everybody's having largely the same experience . So I had a lot of things in life , never went , went in for anything , but I saw the real when he came from .

Speaker 2

Look , you come out of there , you a man . I don't care if you blow up or not , man , these are hard people in the very , very essential part meaning of it . You know what I'm saying . These are people that you could put them in the jungle and they will fucking survive with , with , with , like a pocket knife and a walking stick type shit . This is not . I'm not that nigga . I'm telling you right now .

Speaker 2

Even when we went , when I went to boarding school , my boarding school was literally in the middle of a bush , but it was close by a by a , by a village I guess I would call it that or a town , but it was in the middle of nowhere and , yeah , we had machetes and hoes , but that was a but . And we , we planted corn and made mounds and cleared fields and who you know that you fetched your own water but that was kind of like a boot camp experience for middle to upper middle class to rich .

Speaker 2

Some people were in school where their parents were fucking wealthy Period . That's experience this and then go to America . That's it . Some people like me kind of had a decent hard life , but it's not like Francis Ngannou , so don't compare me to that nigga . You know what I'm saying . When you were growing up over there , did you always want to come to America . This is in Ghana , so don't compare me to that nigga you know what I'm saying and where's my .

Speaker 1

When you were growing up over there , did you always want to come to America ?

Speaker 2

uh , I never really thought about it . I always wanted to visit America and I got to when I was in like ninth grade , seventh , eighth or ninth grade and we got to go to London a couple times and you know like my parents worked hard to show us the world . You know I'm saying so . I got to . But like it became real I think my dad had it in his mind and I'd already actually started college over there . It became real when , like it was just like okay , take the SATs , and I took the SATs and started college , but when the results came back .

Speaker 1

It's actually like really smart . What did you score on your ?

Speaker 2

um , back then it was um out of 1600 and I had like a 1380 . I forgot . I forgot to finish one part . I didn't touch one section at all , I think it was . No , I had a 1280 . Um , the last three pages of the last section were stuck together . I didn't know , I just thought it was one , two , and I was so happy to be done because it was a long test , I just and I closed it and I got . I probably would have got better , but my God .

Speaker 1

Three pages , you forgot . You still got a 1280 .

Speaker 2

Yeah , I had . I have friends that had near perfect , Like , and those are the people that Harvard wants you . After we're done , we could even take a break . Those are the people that Harvard wants you and shit , but even my little above average to you know , because that's really above average If you want to get a scholarship , $1280 . $1150 is kind of like the cutoff .

Speaker 1

So you transferred from a university in lagos to . I didn't transfer .

Speaker 2

I just , I just stopped going there . I was like fuck y'all I'm done , I'm gonna restart .

Speaker 2

But that transcript to me doesn't exist . And okay , I took . I had taken classes over the summer and applied to several schools , but I took my sats late . So instead of being able to go in the fall , I was only able to come to America in the spring . So like that fall , my dad was like y'all no good to sit at home , man , rip . Man , big fella always wanted us to do good . It was like y'all no good to sit in the house . Either y'all going to go to work with me or y'all going to go to university .

Speaker 4

These American schools might not answer me , man , and I don't want to be working for a whole year with my dad , Cause you know what I'm saying .

Speaker 2

He was like pay , which kind of pay .

Speaker 4

I take you to work , you eat , you are living in my house . You are talking about pay pay for what . You are my assistant . You know what I'm saying . You know what I'm saying . So it was like it's different .

Speaker 2

Like so like I kind of made the decision we're going to apply . It was a Christian university . We went there . My experience there wasn't the greatest . I was kind of I kind of like corrupted people . I probably ruined a couple people's lives with my influence . Lord have mercy on me . But like I went to that school and I was like doing computer science , but I had taken the SATs and sent out these applications a few months ago and then after I was in school for like two months , acceptance letters started coming in . So in my mind that first semester went out the window . I'm like fuck y'all , what ?

Speaker 4

exams .

Speaker 2

You have finals .

Speaker 4

I'm going to America , bitch .

Speaker 2

But then it's like the way the visas work you have to get all these letters and everything lined up before you apply . Bro , let me tell you , when I was calling people day and night , I was waking people up in their crib by you . Better send me this letter , bro , because I fucked everything off .

Speaker 4

I have all f's I gotta leave this school . You know I'm saying , anyway , it worked out Without ever seeing the places Now in 2020's hindsight .

Speaker 2

I fucked up Cause I had acceptance to Penn State Full scholarship . Temple University Full scholarship . Howard University it wasn't full scholarship , but it was like A pretty good , like 75% . And then Southwestern Oklahoma State University A kid in Nigeria . I'm like I don't care . All the good universities stopped answering me because they were like why don't you just wait till fall ? I'm like fuck , fall .

Speaker 4

I'm going to have F's by then . Bitch , I need to go Now . This Southwestern Oklahoma State University . They were like , cool , Come on Without ever because my scores were higher . They were like nobody with these kind of scores ever wants to come here . Why do you want to come here ? Hell yeah , come on those other schools . They get those applications all the time .

Speaker 2

So when these , when I finally show up these motherfuckers like it was like different podcasts .

Speaker 4

A lot of shit had to happen for me to show up , but when I finally showed up .

Speaker 2

I had a great first semester , but then I found a plug . I was already smoking in nigeria you know I'm saying I was used to it but I went like six months to a year , no , weed nothing . And then I finally found a plug and that's when everything changed . I start rapping , I start producing . I said fuck school . And then a couple of our songs were played like on radio . We did a couple of big concerts . So you can tell me shit . Then we would start . I was going to the mall buying $300 Levi's with my boys that had more money than me , like I was going to make it and shit . Yeah , it's a wild story , we'll talk about that , but we're here to talk about some fight shit . You know what I'm saying after I didn't spend 10 minutes rambling on to answer a simple question . But yeah , man , that's .

Speaker 1

That's kind of my fault too , I like . I like hearing about your it's all good .

Speaker 2

It's all good . We're here to chill out .

Speaker 1

You know , I'm saying france that's interesting bro francis and ganu , though he plays it off like like I don't know

Missed Opportunities and Family Concerns

Speaker 1

, it's just . I think it's your humbling like it's a long story .

Speaker 4

I think it's your like just how you carry yourself .

Speaker 1

You carry yourself so humbly . I'm going to be vulnerable , real quick , all that stuff to me is like dude , like that's awesome , those are great accomplishments and the reason , the reason why I hadn't lost , but a lot of things have come from that that I wouldn't give back for the world .

Speaker 2

Yeah , my kids , friends , I've made it's , it's , it's , it's . It's become a situation where , instead of regarding where I could have gone , I'm really happy with where I am , because I know people that that that actually followed that trajectory and fucked up . Let me fuck y'all up . I'm not gonna say her name , like I've lived in my car right . When I was a sophomore , actually doing good program in my computer science class , one of my home girls called me true story . I swear to God on my , on my daddy . This happened . She went to school with Mark Zuckerberg and twins in them that was doing all that Facebook shit . She wrote a shit ton of code for Facebook when it first came out and it was only for colleges . She actually hit me up Like hey , we're outsourcing some of this shit . If you want to write some code , earn some money or some shares , whatever .

Speaker 4

I'm like Facebook . Who the fuck fucking Facebook niggas is Bitches man . It's part of it . No , that's , I swear to God . That's what I was thinking . I'm like Facebook . I'm like I already just got a job . I don't know how to program really well .

Speaker 2

I could have learned . I could have just wrote some open closed , drew some tabs , but I literally honestly swear to God what I was thinking . Man fuck programming Program me some more .

Speaker 4

How much y'all going to give me Like $8 an hour ? Man , fuck that shit .

Speaker 2

And I kind of played it off in my mind and just continued like what's up , man ? Because we went to church together in Nigeria . This girl is so rich right now you can't fucking find her . She don't even use Facebook and she wrote a lot of the code .

Speaker 4

That's wild dude , Even if she took just a few shares no-transcript .

Speaker 2

The time painted the mural on the wall of their first headquarters , they gave him like 200 shares for doing it . He was smart enough to take it instead of cash because they didn't have a lot of cash .

Speaker 2

Yeah he became a multi-millionaire because of that . Now , imagine somebody that wrote code . I feel not . That's not to say I would have been Well off , but my life might have been better . It might have had a little boost here and there . I fucked off A lot of opportunities . So I feel like the wealth of all this shit Is turning into Like an African Matthew McConaughey novel . Like , yeah , this dude became One of the coolest dudes ever , but you know what I'm saying ? He looks like a bum On the beach Of Okoboji Shores . Yeah , but yeah , man . So man , what's ?

Speaker 1

I wanted to ask you what your family thinks About you Like fighting and stuff . Do they get scared or anything about ? Oh yeah , bro .

Speaker 3

I've , I've been , they've tried . Some of them have tried talking me out of it .

Speaker 4

In a nice way .

Speaker 3

In a nice way , kind of me , out of it in a nice way . In a nice way kind of , because they're worried about

Legacy and Identity in Men

Speaker 3

it . But you know , I mean most , most family members are gonna want you to take a reasonable route in life yeah , how old are you ? This is not really reasonable . How ? Old are you probably huh how old are you ?

Speaker 2

26 oh yeah , come on , man , uh , which , which , which one of the family or your family members has this sentiment about it Like you . Might as well do it now so you don't regret not doing it when you're my age .

Speaker 3

That's like almost all of them bro .

Speaker 2

Man , that's dope bro . That's the least you could ask .

Speaker 1

They're on the line . Obviously they support you . Yeah , that's the least you could ask .

Speaker 3

Honestly , I could not do this without my family dude . That's dope . They are so great To me .

Speaker 2

I know you guys Can't hear it Cause y'all Some no headphones Having ass bitches , but applause For the family . You know what I'm saying I love .

Speaker 3

I love my family , I love my friends , like everyone knows who they are , like the support I couldn't do Without them .

Speaker 2

How much harder Does it make it ?

Speaker 1

Yeah , like are they in the back of your mind when you're getting in there ?

Speaker 3

Um , yeah , you know , yeah , cause like it's weird , like , uh , I've had this conversation with um friends and family about , like , when I'm walking out , like how their hearts beat and they're so terrified to see me go out and do this , which is so weird , cause like , actually , every time I've walked out I haven't really been that scared and I almost feel like , in a way , they're like taking such a weight off me just by being there and like just being there with me and their thoughts and their prayers and , like I feel that with them a lot 100% so yeah , man , it's awesome .

Speaker 2

What has feel that with them a lot . So yeah , man , it's awesome . What has been your favorite thing so far ? Like if somebody was to ask you why do you , why do you keep going , why do you keep training , why do you want to come back ? One sentence one sentence .

Speaker 1

Damn time you really putting them on the spot , bro . Oh , that could be a comma in there .

Speaker 4

You don the spot , bro . There could be a comma in there , you don't have to . There could be a comma Semicolon in there .

Speaker 3

This is good . Honestly , here's my one sentence . I want to be somebody . Yeah , I really do .

Speaker 2

Hey , my bro Felt as fuck . Bro Felt as fuck man . Because we talk about that all the time . Man , we both use that . I use it a lot , I feel like that's a deep thing in every man .

Speaker 3

Not saying women don't feel that , I'm just saying like I feel . It really burns deep within a man Like who am I Like ? What am I offering to this world , to my family ?

Speaker 2

to my friends .

Speaker 3

Like what am I ? You know ? I think it's something that burns within all of us , for real .

Speaker 1

Dude , all these experiences I've had this last year , they've been great experiences , like you've been saying , but , dude , I still look in the mirror sometimes . I'm like I don't think I know who I want to be yet . You know what I mean . Like that's so hard I can't speak for every man , but like me , growing up without a dad for so long , like I feel like that makes it even harder . Just trying to figure out what kind of man you want to be , and a lot of stuff that I have seen is like you figure that out , then you can kind of figure out your direction and like what career you take . You know things like that , but that's like , like you take , you know things like that , but that's like , like you said , the hardest question for like .

Speaker 2

And then , while you're figuring that out , you're , you're fitting . You're fitting in being holding a certain image for the people in your life . Yeah , because you do have responsibilities . You're responsible for certain people . You know I'm saying you do have to make yourself available sometimes , otherwise they worry . You know I'm saying you have to worry about , you know how what you're doing reflects on people . Some of some people have to worry about providing for one person or another . You know I'm saying it's wild . It's wild , but I think that's just being a human being and , uh , the leaving your mark thing is really , excuse me , all we all aspire to do . And I feel like for a man , it's a little bit more serious , because women leave their mark by like reproducing . No , no , no , no , I'm saying women leave , leave their mark by reproducing , and I know not every woman has a child , but that's something women have that we don't have for sure , that's they're kind of born with .

Speaker 3

I would say women are kind of born with their purpose , you know like . They offer something to this world that , like men , have to create , but they're born with it , you know like in a way you know what I mean like they're born with this . I guess we're walking on thin ice boys . No , no , no , no , no , it's completely . I was just giving him shit .

Speaker 4

No , no , no no , no , what I'm saying is like their gift .

Speaker 2

What I'm saying is their gift is like a parent , yeah , like it's a parent , like they bring the , they bring the , the the life in , they nurture the life . It's much harder for men to do that because we're not built to do that , can we ? Yeah , I'm not going to get into the discussion of whether women can or can't do what men do , because , yes , everybody can do what everybody does and all that stuff . But I'm just saying , like their , their contribution , I can't bring that ?

Speaker 1

yes , do I contribute to that ? Yes , but I don't need to .

Speaker 3

Well , I mean just think about it in a way like I mean I don't need to . There's firm banks , they don't need us men and women , unique in their own way . You know , like they , they have attributes , powers at the other powers .

Speaker 2

But my point was like , for a man though , you feel that extra little pressure to actually leave a mark .

Speaker 3

Yes , yes .

Speaker 2

To actually leave a mark , and women's legacy is there . We're here , there's a species because women exist and not only the giving part , the actually being sensible , because men are reckless , men are impulsive across all species and if there was no female , like a lot of it would just be blow each other up , and it's done .

Speaker 1

Like no , for real . I mean , if you think about it when we were kids , dude , we'd get hurt . We'd most likely run to mom before we'd run to dad , Because dad would be like tough enough . Yeah , exactly , but you need that .

Speaker 3

But that's the thing I mean , you need both you need both .

Speaker 4

Yeah , absolutely .

Speaker 3

But just like the way a man wants to be remembered , it's just a lot different .

Speaker 2

Yeah , it's just . Yeah , it's , it hits different , and I don't know , maybe there's an argument to how that's , uh , the the . Some people will say , well , that's , that's how you're programmed . You're programmed to think your legacy means something . It does , though , regardless of what anybody thinks like , it really does your , your legacy . It really does your legacy . It really does Male or female , but mostly , like I said , it's just a different urge in males , I guess

Consequences of Fighting and Professionalism

Speaker 2

. I guess that's why , in nature , the male silverbacks fight . Females don't need to fight for legacies .

Speaker 3

They can all sit back and enjoy , yeah . I don't want to take it as we're watching girls fighting right now .

Speaker 2

No , that's not to say they're not capable , but the motivation to do it is different . Look in nature Fuck my bad .

Speaker 4

I keep dropping my phone . In nature .

Speaker 2

Urban Armor man . They're not a sponsor , by the way , it's just a really good case . I drop my phone 40 times a day , Every smack you've heard . I'm going to try to take as many of them out , but I'm going to leave some of them in for reference . Yeah , but like across every species , it's the males that jock for everything . Females are fine coexisting . That's why they say man , if everybody was female , I don't love women hating on us .

Speaker 3

I just want to clarify I love women , women .

Speaker 4

No , it's just true . No , we didn't say anything wrong .

Speaker 1

We're scaring him . We got to change the subject . You know what I'm saying .

Speaker 2

He made all of us spooked up . Right now Winston made a yeah , now we're all walking on eggs .

Speaker 3

But , yeah , I feel like we should take a break anyway .

Speaker 2

I'm sorry . I feel like I feel like we should take a break anyway because I gotta pee and uh , a good opportunity to smoke a cigarette .

Speaker 4

I can't think when I pee , so they're built an excuse if I , if I said anything crazy , it's because I had to piss man my brain . Yeah man , we'll be back shortly man yeah yeah watching batteries long we are back .

Speaker 2

Um , yeah , um , I'm gonna get up and plug this in , but , uh , I'm gonna let the guys go . We were just talking about , uh , bar fights and shit and how to conduct yourself as a aspiring professional fighter .

Speaker 1

So you , you have , you got like a lot of people , or just like a couple that like come up and try to start something .

Speaker 3

Yeah , bro , it's .

Speaker 1

It's almost every other time I'm out and about , you know do you think it's because they know that you fight , or I feel like that definitely plays a factor .

Speaker 3

I mean , if you think about it , how many people are kind of like they get drunk , they get rowdy . You kind of lose all your your sensible awareness and you're like oh , this guy , I can beat my chest , I can , I can challenge myself here , because you're not thinking reasonably . I'm sitting there like bro , like come on , I'm here to have a good time . I'm not trying to do this like this is ridiculous . I already , I already have to go and spar .

Speaker 1

Enough like this isn't fun for me , like I don't want to do this . It's like somebody asking you to train again after you're done training for the day I mean beyond that .

Speaker 2

People don't get that . There's real life consequences . Motherfucker , we don't have gloves on . Concussions happen .

Speaker 1

There's police outside .

Speaker 3

You could hit your head . Say it gets bad enough , say it gets bad enough , to where I'm with this guy and it gets ravaged , like , say , it goes to a court case or something and like they go . You have a history of violence . Look at this , you've been in a cage , you start fighting and then I'm screwed . Oh , they use that shit . Well , I'm assuming they could .

Speaker 1

I'm not going to drop no names because I don't know I feel like you're probably right , but if they do that , that's kind of fucked up .

Speaker 3

Say , I knock them out , or something .

Speaker 1

Yeah .

Speaker 4

And they go .

Speaker 3

He assaulted me . Look at this , he's trained for this and blah , blah , blah .

Speaker 2

They use it again . Man , you don't even have to be a pro , I'm saying but if you know , you know , like my boy , like as , as a young man , got in a fight , after the bar whatever motherfucker fell down , whether it was prior complications or as a result of the fight they fought , dude died . He got 40 years . That's what I'm talking about . And he's not even a pro fighter . So could you imagine as a pro fighter , you , whether it was his fault or not , bro you two piece of motherfucker .

Speaker 3

The defense is gonna leave with that , bro you feel me , if I'm gonna , if I'm gonna do stuff like that , I need a , an undeniable video video yeah , you can call me anything you want I don't care , I just saw a clip .

Speaker 2

I'm ashamed to say I don't know who it was on . Uh , you know those little youtube clips . You scroll in the Joe Rogan clip . He was interviewing a UFC fighter that went in the Hall of Fame . Apparently the weekend he was supposed to go in the Hall of Fame .

Speaker 2

He went out with his wife and his sister or whatever , and somebody came in there being belligerent and he was like man , we gotta go , cause I know what's about to happen . Like you know , he's about to play tough guy . I'm a big dude . He's belligerent , throwing shit at the waitress and , sure enough , as he asks for the check , dude stands up and confronts the waitress as she's bringing him the check to leave . So instinctively he has to get in there . But he said , before anything started , he told his sister record this . You know what I'm saying . I want you to record the whole thing , me walking up there , because he's gonna try to say UFC guy , beat me up . Sure enough , he was like I wanna press charges till the police saw the video . Like sure you know what I'm saying . Like . So I mean , man , like your , your lifestyle kinda has to change before you to even get a chance to keep your record clean enough to be professional , unless you're John motherfucking Bones .

Speaker 3

Jones , I guess in the fight world , my criminal history wouldn't really matter . I don't have one , but if I accumulated one , I don't know if they're going to look at it too much .

Speaker 2

Isn't it all about marketing ? I guess Dana is paying motherfuckers now , man , because he's made billions of dollars from this . There's other options , by the way .

Speaker 1

I hate , but ufc is the big dog , I guess I mean so speaking , sorry , I just wanted to ask what you think of like the bellator and , uh , like the other ones that aren't as famous .

Speaker 3

Well , bellator got bought out by pfl pfl right is now now the leading competitor of UFC , but they're just not even close . They've made some good steps . They got Francis in the gun .

Speaker 1

There's people that come from there onto the UFC .

Speaker 3

We'll see what happens ?

Speaker 2

Are those the Dubai guys ? Is that PFL , the Emirates , the Dubai guys ?

Speaker 3

No , that's like ESPN has a bigger involvement in PFL . The Emirates , the Dubai , guys . No , that's like ESPN kind of has a bigger involvement in PFL . Jake Paul actually has a big involvement in PFL and stuff . But UFC , just the way they've marketed throughout however long they've been around , they're just the top dog and it'll take a while for someone to dethrone them . In that it's kind of like they kind of established themselves as the NFL of fighting .

Speaker 1

Right , you know like .

Speaker 3

NFL is football . Nba is basketball , Like that's that . That's fighting .

Speaker 1

That's cage fighting yeah .

Speaker 3

But PFL is competing . You know , at least early on , Like they're not really to that par , but they're around .

Speaker 1

We'll see what happens , man I encourage , Because I've only ever heard of PFL . You know what I mean . So I guess they are growing yeah .

Speaker 2

I encourage people to check out the backstories of all these . You know what I'm saying . It fascinates me People like Dana how unsure things were , how close UFC was To failing To not being a thing . But , to put it in context , these were not broke motherfuckers . You know what I'm saying . Look , if you got $300,000 in your account , I don't think you're really a broke person . Now I guess it's perspective , but I encourage people to go check it out . These guys are actually people who bet on themselves and , look , we're all glad

UFC Fight Predictions and Analysis

Speaker 2

it paid off . You know what I'm saying , but I was going to ask I didn't mean to cut him off earlier the fight tonight , the big fight who you got ?

Speaker 3

That's Jon Jones versus Steve Baker . I'm just going to be honest . I'm going to say it with my chest I'm a Jon Jones h honest , I'm going to say it with my chest , I'm a John Jones hater .

Speaker 1

I can't stand it .

Speaker 3

I can't stand it bro .

Speaker 4

He keeps winning .

Speaker 3

I was a big Daniel Cormier fan , so they obviously had one of the biggest rivalries in the UFC . But I'm not going to go into depth about the guy or whatever he's doing his thing , but I am definitely rooting for Stipe . But it's a tall task for Stipe . Jon Jones is where he's at for a reason Very good , but Stipe is also very good , I think .

Speaker 1

Is Jon Jones still fighting regularly or did he come out of the ? He's the guy .

Speaker 3

He spent like three years out right , just kind of sitting and waiting , got the heavyweight title . Then it's been like another two years because he got hurt , and now he's finally coming back , and now retirement talks are happening and everything .

Speaker 2

Well , so this is a title defense then .

Speaker 3

Yeah , against Stipe , which Stipe , statistically , is the greatest heavyweight ever .

Speaker 2

So there's a lot of online for this fight Because he's been fighting man , man . I wish I had my phone hooked up because I would've played that white horse sound because Stipe wasn't riding the white horse . You know what I'm saying . He wasn't hitting that Wambino like John Jones and getting himself in trouble . You feel me Like he was actually fighting . Jon Jones hasn't taken the wear and tear that a lot of fighters have taken . I don't think he's been a very smart fighter Because of the time off . Oh , I love ring , but he's a hard guy to beat .

Speaker 4

He's like see man Diddy done , ruined our niggas talk bro , I was about to say he's long , you know what I'm saying , but I have to say no Diddy for the third time in a row . Bro , there's about to be a no Diddy jar you know what I'm saying .

Speaker 2

We got to talk to people about things , but whenever we do find a place , eventually I'm going to put a no-ditty jar because this shit is getting out of hand . My generation now feel like I can't talk no more . You know what ? Pause Time for a Temi rant . Uncle Temi got something to say , because this shit is wild man . Why y'all making me feel bad ?

Speaker 4

for saying regular combinations of words that have nothing to do with gay shit , just because y'all thinking about some gay shit . I should think that I shouldn't have to set up roast man exactly .

Speaker 4

I shouldn't I shouldn't exactly I'm , but the thing is this shit is so cold because these woke motherfuckers then got me to where I'm now gaslighting myself to feel like I have to apologize when I wasn't meaning nothing . Gay by it . I feel like the person listening . You should just have to say pause . If you feel like I said something , you should have to say pause , cause you know what I'm saying .

Speaker 4

That's on your own account , I feel like they're making you Think about some gay shit , cause when I was gonna say he's long , I felt like he meant range . You know what I'm saying , not that he's long or whatever .

Speaker 3

This is a little off topic , but you know what we should do . We should watch . There's another fight in this card Michael Chandler and Charles Oliveira . They fought once before . They only fought like one round and it ended like right away in the second . If you guys watch , I want to see who you guys would think would win the second one On this , one that's playing right now . No , it's not on this one , but you can pull up easy .

Speaker 2

We can pull up highlights of it .

Speaker 3

No , I bet it's on YouTube .

Speaker 2

Yeah , that's what I'm saying . We could pull up like a condensed version . Oh , yeah , yeah , yeah , because the fight might be kind of long Hold on , let me cut .

Speaker 3

Like the total fight probably lasted seven minutes . Oh shit , oh really .

Speaker 4

Let's do it , yeah , because that's what .

Speaker 3

I'm saying it lasted one round and then it ended in the second , but they're rematching . This fight is at 155 for the number one contender fight , so that means whoever wins is basically in line for a title fight . Oh okay . So , they're rematching . I think that would be pretty fun to do .

Speaker 2

Hey , I'm going to go one step further . Okay , we just go and watch this seven-minute clip , right ? And then , instead of predicting just this one fight , we're going to just pick the whole card .

Speaker 2

I'll pull up a list of the names . We can pick the whole card and without I mean we don't have to watch something about the whole , but we'll pick the whole card . I'll pull up a list of the names . We can pick the whole card . We don't have to watch something about the whole card , but we'll pick the whole card . I'll bet it on DraftKings . I'll bet it on DraftKings . If we win , we'll decide what to do with it . On the next podcast .

Speaker 3

I'm about to lay a parlay down .

Speaker 2

That's what I'm saying . I'm about to take advice right here . If we win , we'll figure out what to do with it . I've had good luck on football , so I'm feeling feisty about our draft kings right now . You gotta type this in , bro .

Speaker 1

You gotta type this in , yeah , man honestly , probably one of the chillest podcasts we've ever done . I feel like this is well , probably because the last one we did was with a baseball owner , so it was like it seems so formal to me this time I'm enjoying , just yeah .

Speaker 2

On top of that , like we're all in the same room , on top of that , we're getting we're getting close to that 10,000 hours , man .

Speaker 3

Just based on what you see .

Speaker 2

All right , we'll pause for a second and watch this and come back . You know what I'm saying . We shouldn't play the sound .

Speaker 1

No , who are we , who are you ? That shit was nuts dude .

Speaker 2

And we are back . Sorry , man , we had to pause for a second because copyright issues . We didn't want to get flagged . But yeah , what were you saying now about Khabib ?

Speaker 3

Well , about that fight . The first , Michael Chandler versus Charles fight Khabib vacated the belt , he beat Justin Gaethje and then he just retired , so that fight was for the title after that . So it was a big deal . That was actually their second .

Speaker 1

UFC fight ever Damn that's crazy dude .

Speaker 3

Yeah , so they've had about four fights between each other and they're going to rematch .

Speaker 2

What's the record so far ? What's ?

Speaker 3

their , both their records . What's the record so far ? What's their both records ?

Speaker 2

I mean the record in that matchup .

Speaker 3

Michael Chandler went 2-2 . He fights like an absolute war .

Speaker 2

I'm just saying so is this between them ? It's like split even . Yeah .

Speaker 3

Yeah , these two are top of the division which my friends might give me crap about because they hate on Michael Chandler .

Speaker 2

but I got to find a way to watch this .

Speaker 1

He looks like he fights like a beast .

Speaker 3

It's because it's because of me I have very , very strong opinions on fighters and stuff and they just like give me crap and feed me into the arguments . But they damn well know he's good .

Speaker 1

Dude . He looks fucking huge for real dude he's probably the strongest , most powerful 155 ever . They're just fighting at the same weight , then .

Speaker 3

Yep , yep but .

Speaker 1

So when you weigh in , you weigh in at 155 .

Speaker 3

Yeah .

Speaker 1

What's your weight at actually when you're fighting ?

Speaker 3

Like me what I did , yeah , so I weighed in at 156 .

Speaker 2

Ufc . What is it tonight ? My bad , I'm googling , I'm googling how much it will cost .

Speaker 3

So I weighed in at 156 and then the night of the fight I was probably like 172 .

Speaker 1

How many days before did you weigh in ? Just the day before , oh , just the day .

Speaker 3

So , yeah , that's what I'm talking about .

Speaker 1

That's crazy .

Speaker 3

Yeah , I lost like 13 pounds the day of the weigh-ins .

Speaker 1

Yeah , you were telling us that Were you running or like sauna ? We were in the sauna .

Speaker 2

Ooh , that's kind of expensive right there .

Speaker 3

Yeah , yeah , that's kind of expensive . Those are expensive , bro , I'm not going to lie .

Speaker 2

I wonder what time is it . I might try to hit some mummies up and see if they wanna go in .

Speaker 4

I mean , if you a baller , shot caller , 20 inch blaze On your own parlor .

Speaker 2

You know what I'm saying ? 80 bucks ain't shit to you , but yeah , that's like a week's worth of gas , bro . Yeah , it's , it's expensive , but yeah , man , alright . So Let me pull up the , the whole fight card .

Speaker 3

Dude , just do the main event Cause .

Speaker 4

Just do the main event .

Speaker 2

Just do the main event , Okay then Okay , we'll do the two main events .

Speaker 3

No I mean like the main card . So like there's five fights in the main card .

Speaker 2

But then you got to share your parlay . Since you have this life changing , all life platform shit , you got to share your parlay since you have this life-changing , all-life , all-trend platform .

Speaker 3

I'm not much of a betting man , but I got this deal where I got $150 .

Speaker 4

It don't matter .

Speaker 1

That'll be our Winston and .

Speaker 3

Black yeah so my friend , he's always on me about betting . I've done it . One time I lost 20 bucks . I made money but I ended up betting a little bit and lost 20 total total I lost 20 . I was like I'm never gonna , I'm not doing it again , even 20 bucks .

Speaker 1

I don't even like that . Yeah , dude , I feel you 100% . I've only been to a casino one time . I lost whatever I put in . I lost it all . I didn't win anything . I was like , yeah , I'm done , I'm never coming back yeah .

Speaker 3

So he sent me a link to this to Fan . He said if you just bet $5 of your own money and you win it . So I placed on a super easy bet , like Saquon getting 80 yards when he already had 76 . I got it .

Speaker 2

So it gave me a $150 bonus bet .

Speaker 3

So I was like okay , this isn't my money , I'll do it . So , what I'm going to do is I'm going to bet $150,000 on Stipe winning , chandler winning and then Bo Nickel winning , and that's like a payout of like $2,500 . Damn dude .

Speaker 1

And all three of them have to win for you to get that . Yeah , so I mean , if I win , I'll be hyped , but if they don't .

Speaker 3

I mean , it ain't my money , so whatever .

Speaker 1

No , that's a good way to do it . I wouldn't mind that . That's what I'm saying .

Speaker 3

I'm not one of those guys .

Speaker 2

I'm not a sports bettor .

Speaker 3

I'm not a gambler , I'm not into that stuff . I can see how it can really get people locked in , and I'm not going to be like that .

Speaker 2

Bro , I did taxes for a living dude . Obviously I can't like say anything specific , but the amount of people that would come in and like they , all they do is gamble like that's nuts , bro , like that's wild . I mean I don't gamble on a big scale but like most years is even for me I do it for fun a little stake in the game . I always pick like a one , two , three dollar ridiculous , outrageous parlay . But I've hit twice this season like some parlays , stupid luck . But both times it was three dollars turned into like . One time it was 258 . I bet three dollars and made up a stupid ass parlay . That shouldn't have happened . But it happened . Got 250 one time . I didn't even know , I didn't even look at it , because I'm like this is not gonna work . I'm broke as hell At work On Wednesday . I'm like , well , let me go Bet my last remaining Two dollars .

Speaker 4

And I log in . I'm like bitch 250 , what's on here ? So I'm like 500 up .

Speaker 2

I've uploaded like 120 , but I've Got like 500 back , and here's the thing that makes you feel like a fucking degenerate , though the only way you can get that money is you either have to wait four days , you know , or you could go to a casino to pick it up .

Speaker 3

Really .

Speaker 2

What better way to feel like a degenerate and kind of set you up to give that money right back to somebody in the machine ? You feel me DraftKings might not get it back , but the Draft Kings office right here , casino entrance right here . You know what I'm saying . So I'm walking in . They already got bets in there to try to make you bet more .

Speaker 4

So I'm picking up $500 fucking dollars and I'm walking by the casino I'm like , damn , maybe I should just go see a couple max bets on 100 bucks .

Speaker 2

Come on , it's free money . Next thing you know you're walking out . It didn't happen to me this is not a personal story , but I've seen it happen . Casino stories on a different episode yeah , but man , it's taken me forever to pull up this fight card Because Google is stupid . Okay , yeah , I got it . You want me to name it ? The five main ones . Do you want to One , two , three , four , five ? Yeah , we'll just do the top five ones and this is how I'm going to bet Main card John Jones . No , we'll go , that would be the last one .

UFC Fight Predictions and Analysis

Speaker 2

Mauricio Rufi and James Liantop .

Speaker 3

I definitely got Mauricio .

Speaker 2

Okay , we're going Mauricio with that one . Do you care to tell us why , or do you just want to run through it ?

Speaker 3

I just think that with his level of competition and what he offers versus James , I think he just has the upside , like why Does he punch better ?

Speaker 2

Is it like a ground ?

Speaker 3

game thing . I think he's just more talented . A better athlete .

Speaker 2

No , we're going , Mauricio . We're going to draft Kings , this one and if we win , we'll talk about what we're going to do with it on next week's podcast . Alright , vivian Araujo and Kareem Silver .

Speaker 3

I don't think I can help you on this .

Speaker 2

You know what we're going to pick Did you show the stats between them . We're going to look at the record . Silver is 18-4 .

Speaker 3

I'd pick Silver .

Speaker 2

Vivian is 12-6 .

Speaker 1

I was just asking if it showed the record of them .

Speaker 2

Yeah , 12-6 is Vivian . Kareem is 18-4 . I don't know . Personally , I'm not going to act like I've ever seen either one of these chicks fight , but I'm going to go with the better record . So we're going , kareem .

Speaker 3

Bo , nickel and Paul Craig . I got Bo . This is the guy I was telling you about . This guy is a prodigy right now . I mean , he was an all-American two or three-time college champ .

Speaker 2

Wrestling For .

Speaker 3

Penn State . I think he only lost two or three times . He's very legitimate . His fights have been dominant . He's 6-0 . He's very young in his career , but this guy is very legitimate .

Speaker 2

Paul Craig is 17-8-1 .

Speaker 3

He is very good . He's a veteran .

Speaker 2

Sounds like a stiff challenge . It is . It's a big bump up for Bo . This guy is very dangerous .

Speaker 3

He's a veteran . Sounds like a stiff challenge . It is . It's a big . It's a big bump up for bo . Um , this guy is very dangerous on his back let's see what's the age difference .

Speaker 1

Let's go with the underdog bro . Go with bo bo's the dude .

Speaker 3

He's the favorite by a lot like .

Speaker 1

Oh yeah , like a lot I mean okay , okay , let's I guess I say underdog because he's younger and I mean they should both be experienced .

Speaker 2

Boys 28 yeah , maybe I use that the wrong they're the same height . I mean I mean I guess I say underdog because he's younger . I mean they should both be experienced . Bo is 28 .

Speaker 1

Yeah , maybe I used the wrong .

Speaker 2

They're the same height , I mean they're the same weight , same reach 76 inches .

Speaker 3

Paul Craig might be a little bit bigger than him .

Speaker 2

Paul Craig is one inch taller by what they have on here , but he's eight years older , so this is an experience thing . Do we go with experience or do we go with the younger buck ?

Speaker 3

If you're going by Miles , white Lang and McDonald's factors here . I think , Bo actually puts on a clinic .

Speaker 2

Bo . We're going Bo . So far we have Mauricio Kareem and Bo Alright . Lightweight Comain Charles Oliveira and Michael Chandler Dude . We just watched their fight . This is about to be A war .

Speaker 3

Dude , yeah , I don't know that was tough . The stakes are high . These guys are at the peak Of their career .

Speaker 1

I mean .

Speaker 3

It's either win or dip , you know . So this is big For these guys . Personally , I got Michael Cause I'm a big fan . I was going to say I feel like I got Michael Chandler too , bro .

Speaker 1

I feel like he's got it this time .

Speaker 3

They have different styles , but these guys to help you with anything , these guys are at the top of their game .

Speaker 1

I don't think that helps . I think that makes it harder .

Speaker 2

Let me see if this influences your decisions at all . I think that makes it harder . Let me see if this influences your decisions at all . Charles Oliveira is 34-10 , no draws and one what's one NC .

Speaker 3

That's no contest . So like either got disqualified , maybe someone took steroids , I don't know .

Speaker 2

All right . And then Michael Chandler is 23-8 . Ah , a lot like a lot . Nine less fights by percentage . He doesn't have a real big winning percentage . I mean , he has a good winning percentage , but not as good as Charles Olivares' winning percentage .

Speaker 1

No , you go with whatever you think , bro .

Speaker 2

No , we're going with whatever he thinks , it doesn't matter .

Speaker 3

You're going to put this on me Because , like this , no , we're going wherever he thinks it doesn't matter , you're going to put this on me Cause , like this , I'm going to put it on . This is like a coin flip type of deal .

Speaker 2

I'm going to put it . I'm going to put it on draft Kings . I'm going to have other parlays .

Speaker 3

Chandler , that's who I'm riding with .

Speaker 2

All right , we're going , chandler , okay , jon Jones at 27-1 and none .

Speaker 4

You know what I'm saying ? He's basically 28 now . Pretty much .

Speaker 3

Because the one is he did an illegal elbow strike . He was well on his way to winning , but he did a 12-6 , which recently became legal , like just last week . So everyone says he's undefeated , everyone knows that as for him . But that record's kinda , that one is kinda stinking we just gonna call it what it is .

Speaker 2

You know what I'm saying . You are what your record says , you are , but that's still fucking impressive . 27 and 1 you know what I'm saying ?

Speaker 1

and then you have they can't do that , no more .

Speaker 2

You have Stipe at 20 and 4 . You know what I'm saying , man , stipe is kind of on the senior side . After watching that Mike Tyson fight , I don't know about , I really believe in a drop off , but what's his name .

Speaker 1

I think it was probably scripted .

Speaker 2

Jon Jones ain't no young buck either . They're both 6'3" . Jon Jones got him by 8 pounds in weight at 248 . Stipe is 240 .

Speaker 3

That was his last one . Jon Jones weighed in at 237 , and then Stipe weighed 248 .

Speaker 4

Ooh .

Speaker 3

Yeah , so that was for this fight . That's what they weighed in at .

Speaker 2

Ooh , well , I yeah . So that was for this fight . That's what they weighed in at . Well , I don't know . Now I'm thinking steep . I have to give you some background on it no , I'm saying not because I think skill changes , but you gotta rehydrate , bro . You cut that much weight right ?

Speaker 3

well , they're not really cutting heavyweight . They have a limit at 265 . So these guys , these two , are not cutting .

Speaker 2

Okay , you just can't come in these guys came in , just their normal self . Okay , you can have a double cheeseburger , nigga , but can't have the triple . What are you out here , animal sauce . You better put that shit down and get some ketchup , nigga .

Speaker 1

Better be sugar-free .

Speaker 3

Well , I'm going for Stipe for the sake of . I don't want Jon Jones to win .

Speaker 2

So , like .

Speaker 3

I don't want you to base that so much on .

Speaker 2

Oh no , I'm gonna have like seven , eight parlays going no for real . Sometimes at one point I'm gonna pick . I'm gonna put all these fights , including the undercards , on one and bet a dollar on it . If I somehow , somehow in some crazy universe get lucky and win , I'm gonna get a thousand dollars off of a dollar . If not , one of them is gonna hit . It's happened every week so far . I mean not always to millions of dollars . Look , I bet that sam darno was gonna have um 3 500 yards .

Speaker 3

I gotta check on that one , connor , if you're listening to this .

Speaker 2

Packers suck . I know right , the Vikings baby .

Speaker 1

Do you listen to their podcast ?

Speaker 4

Hey me and Connor . They're going to be so mad listening to Connor .

Speaker 2

Me and Connor got to record in the morning .

Speaker 1

We got to get y'all .

Speaker 3

There's going to be some furniture moving in this place , bro .

Speaker 2

That's cool Me and Connor got a recording in the morning before the game . This is going to be interesting because last time Tomorrow yeah , right in the morning , I call him , I FaceTime him . Last week we didn't have this so I could gloat . I left the power cord in Colorado when I went over there , but yeah , man , he made me eat some crow . No , diddy , I don't know why . That sounds bad like well , you just need to you know what ?

Speaker 2

you just need to be secure you just need to be secure in your mask nah , man , I don't want them to roast me , man , because they already said , they already said my boy I'm not gonna say his name , mr triple double . They already called him a fucking special ed . Uh , you know what I'm saying in the a , the , the six or seven people that are consistently One of them .

Speaker 4

I don't even know who . The fuck do we know in Denmark ? You got any military family ?

Speaker 3

Somebody that's been on .

Speaker 4

Somebody .

Speaker 3

I don't know why , Keep hating .

Speaker 4

You know what I'm saying the same thing with SoundCloud .

Speaker 2

I don't know who shared it to somebody , but somebody in denmark is the person that roasted .

Speaker 1

He's like , he sounds like he's special bro , you know what , when I used to do music like I don't know how many years ago , I actually had some people , because on soundcloud it would show you where people are listening from , and there's a few people listening from Denmark , so I wonder if it's one of them . Man , my dream , for that he hated on you so much he leaned in and now he's like oh , dude , I ain't getting that discount . Oh , two of you , you got two peas in this pot .

Speaker 2

Yeah , let's fuck them up . Hey , you know what my dream is , though ? My dream honestly dream honestly is that we have nice , decent , meaningful , but actually just be a fan and speak what you're saying , man , and we put enough of that shit online . You never know , peyton Manning might be making running back , or Vikings might fuck around and win the Super Bowl this year , and they take a clip from my fucking podcast and put it on Netflix . Yeah , I'm gonna show up with the Justin Jefferson glasses . You know what I'm saying and I'm going to have an assistant . Every time they ask me something , I'm going to do that , and the person is going to send my reply for me , bro .

Speaker 4

Yeah , how much do you want ? They're going to be like eight , eight . How much Eight milli ? I'm going to be like I want twelve .

Speaker 2

They're going to be like milli Nah , nah , 12,000 . I'm gonna be like , yeah , I'm gonna accept that shit . You know what I'm saying ? Y'all gonna cover the taxes cause nigga got bills .

Speaker 1

Thank you , thank you dude , do you think that um your team would come on the podcast ?

Speaker 3

oh yeah . I bet they would even if you wanted to do it separately with one of the guys that come on with you you think your brother would oh yeah , he'd know shit . I'm just kidding . Love you , ryan , jk you're ugly .

Speaker 2

Let's do , let's do the next fight card . When is the next Big fight card After this one ? Or they haven't Announced it yet .

Speaker 3

Speaker 2

Everybody was all put together Shoot . I went back .

Speaker 1

Yeah , you guys were on a bender that weekend , weren't you , oh my God ? Or like that week .

Speaker 1

How long were you guys drinking ? Three , four days straight .

Speaker 3

I mean , we just went out that night before , but it was a late night dude , Damn man man shout out to the bride and groom for real man .

Speaker 2

That was like really the funnest engagement I've been to . I've been to a couple weddings , you know what . As we came inside , though , I had to get that double shot of tequila with a splash of pineapple to warm up , you know what I'm saying .

Speaker 3

You got a big family , dude , dude weddings are so fun , Like I just wish hey it is . Hey , you know what , if you guys are anyone out there listening , if you plan on having a wedding , invite me , bro , I will dance .

Speaker 1

Speaker 2

Miles McDonald 5 .

Speaker 3

Miles McDonald 5 .

Speaker 2

Professional turn up . He'll dance at your wedding . He could be on the bride or the groom side . He could be your cousin , your little bro or whatever .

Speaker 4

Also he fights . So if a motherfucker cut out a line , all you got to do is wink twice . Bang bang , motherfucker . You know what I'm saying . Bang bang , motherfucker , you know what I'm saying .

Speaker 2

I'm telling you , man , that might be a good business idea . Dude , have y'all seen the dude who's going viral right now and actually making shit tons ?

Speaker 4

of money , ocd-a . Yeah , the dude that will call your boss , and cost them .

Speaker 3

I've seen one clip . I've seen one clip .

Speaker 4

What a genius Dude .

Speaker 2

That's hilarious , I mean you're kind of putting yourself in harm's way If you're showing up at people's jobs . No , no , but the thing is , if you go to a corporate building , you know how to act .

Speaker 4

I'm going to talk shit in this building Because if you hit me , I'm going to sue

Implications of Technology and AI

Speaker 4

Goldman Sachs .

Speaker 3

You know what I'm saying , dude if you think about , though , like that just showcases . I mean everything you see nowadays , you can do anything and make money . Money's not real . You can say hot tour . I mean everything you see nowadays , you can do anything and make money in this country money's not real you can say hot tua , you can say hot tua and you're filthy rich how's ? That even possible money's not real .

Speaker 2

I think it's the only thing that made me actually think , bro , like I think we're kinda a little doomed , like we need a real hard reset because the only people that the money benefits is is like the super rich , like the people that own companies in the stock exchange and shit . Anybody can be rich because all they need is for their money to keep circulating . Bro , just keep spending the money . That hot tour girl probably hooked up a bunch of her friends Boom Money circulating . Probably bought her grandma .

Speaker 3

You do something that catches the eyes of everyone , and then companies , corporations , people invest in you so that you make money for them .

Speaker 2

And they can sell , yeah .

Speaker 3

It's like this endless run of money .

Speaker 2

It's like hey we're not hating on money or rich people are you kidding ?

Speaker 3

me bro dude , my nephew loves that shit flexing on me with wads of cash .

Speaker 2

We're not hating on money or rich people . I'll sell anything motherfucker shit . I'll sell the pants . I'll sell whatever I'm allergic shit . I'm allergic Shit I'm allergic to I'll sell that shit . I'm allergic to penicillin , but if y'all need me To do a penicillin commercial , I'll take a shot .

Speaker 1

On live .

Speaker 2

TV Working for a big pharma .

Speaker 4

Well , big pharma Dude , not with RFK In office , look , look .

Speaker 2

My soul . My soul Is not for sale , but my name , image and likeness is .

Speaker 4

Cause that's not who I am . Who I am is my soul . I'm just playing , I'm just playing , I'm just playing . No , I'm saying like don't nobody know me , don't nobody know me .

Speaker 2

Shit . When Elon Musk said , yeah , yeah , we're giving away a million dollars , you know what I'm saying Every month and all you have to do is say that you're for free speech and environment , I wish that nigga would've called me bro , cause we would've gone viral .

Speaker 1

You would've got scammed too . Huh , you would've got scammed too .

Speaker 4

Scammed . He scam , motherfucker .

Speaker 1

I heard he didn't select random people . It was all people he knew .

Speaker 2

It was all people he knew . Mm-hmm , man , that's bullshit . They could've threw one random person in there . No , you know what I'm saying . But man , I don't think , at the end of the day , somebody gotta be richer than you . I , I don't think . I don't think those rich , rich guys are the problem . I feel like , hopefully , some of that money that's out there in the atmosphere that they're printing and giving to anybody , I should like I show speed , like I'm not hating , like kaisa , not , I want to sit down with these guys and say man , give me the formula , how like is it luck ?

Speaker 1

no dude , it's just consistency . There's no formula you know what I'm saying or that's like miles asking a ufc fighter how it's like there's really no I mean , but there's guidance that somebody could go .

Speaker 2

Okay , these are young motherfuckers , these are super young motherfuckers . I'll be like , it's like their uncles asking them I show speed started , dude .

Speaker 1

He was like eight years old and he was in front of a camera . Are you kidding me ? These kids are .

Speaker 3

Do you ever think Like ? That guy Lives in a world of like .

Speaker 2

But it paid off .

Speaker 3

Imagine , if that one time Got stripped from him , what his identity Would be like .

Speaker 4

Yeah .

Speaker 3

I think about that sometimes , cause he , if he started at eight years old , bro , that's all he .

Speaker 2

I don't know if that's exactly the age no , no , no , no no , no , no , no , but that's not all they were doing , though , and they were regular kids . They just happen to have access to something .

Speaker 1

Exactly , bro . These kids have access to shit that we never , which is scary , it was hard for us to have access to .

Speaker 3

I have nephews now and they'll get on their parents' phone and stuff and they obviously have like safety features and stuff . But like I look over and like see things from like some things where I'm like man , like I never had access to this , like I don't know , but the thing is you see the way kids are starting to develop now our generation .

Speaker 2

I was just about to ask you that like , does it creep you out how you didn't have to teach them shit . You just have to put it in their hand and it's so intuitive . It's like we're merging .

Speaker 3

I think when you weigh out the negative impact versus the positive impact , I think that negative is going to hit hard in the coming generation but the positives are right now outweighing yeah , but that's what you said . If you ask me , I feel like it's building bro especially with the .

Speaker 2

AI shit . Now the positives .

Speaker 1

Especially with the AI shit dude .

Speaker 2

Yeah , the positives are definitely outweighing right now Because there's I mean , the AI . There's definitely dangers and concerns and stuff . But how much of it is like the 2K , the Y2K scare ?

Speaker 1

What is that ?

Speaker 4

Oh , everything is going to shut down . Oh , the grid is going .

Speaker 1

Dude AI , though though it's literally their ai is learning how to do things by itself bro , here's the only theory I've heard . It doesn't need humans already , and how long ago did was that created I ?

Speaker 2

get it . But here's the only theory that scares me to know . Two , there are two things that scare me . Somebody was like a long time ago that the Mayan calendar was changed . Even before that , somebody removed two days and added three days somewhere . That , by the actual calendar , is just now the year 2000, . 24 years later , and AI is Y2K bitch it's . The shit is about to go offline . That's one . I know it's just people shitting talking bullshit out their ass on reddit , but that scared me like huh , what if ? What if ?

Speaker 4

we're off going on the reddit no , I'm just saying no .

Speaker 2

I'm just saying what if we're off by a few years calculating what time it actually is that these people met ? You know what I'm saying ? What if all the adjustment of like a day or two a month over 10,000 years doesn't put you 24 years , or 400 years doesn't put you 24 years ?

Speaker 1

over . That scared me how often they've changed time . Like Julius Caesar , I was telling you the other day .

Speaker 2

That's what I'm saying .

Speaker 1

Julius Caesar added July because , telling you the other day , that's what I'm saying Julius Caesar added July because of his ego and stuff .

Speaker 2

The other one that scared me is the other thing you said the other day when we were in Colorado , when you were like that story written by AI , about how it's going to get out through a vacuum , even though it was designed to be contained .

Speaker 3

It's going to get out through a vacuum to a fridge , to the network and then , it's going to shut you down yeah , it's pretty much all these strings on me next time I see a robot do that I'm like . Yep , give me my hammer .

Speaker 4

I'm not a white lady anymore . Doesn't it scare you , though , that one of the top , one of the chairman I don't know his name man .

Speaker 2

I need to start writing down notes , but these are spontaneous conversations . One of the top people at Open AI after the COO or CEO or whatever , after he quit , came back and went to Congress and said bro , we need to slow this shit , the fuck down , it's getting dangerous . And Elon also has raised concerns about how that might be the next humans . Bro , that might be what we evolve into you guys ever seen the movie 2049? . What's that about Blade ?

Speaker 3

Runner .

Speaker 2

Yeah , I've seen Blade Runner yeah kind of reminds me of that .

Speaker 3

We're going to have a whole race of people just built to work , but they're not people , they're androids .

Speaker 2

Dude , drop that shit on him .

AI Deception and Future Threats

Speaker 2

What the podcast host ? The AI podcast .

Speaker 1

Have you ever heard of that ? The podcast of the AI ? There was an AI podcast . It was like a legit podcast and it was created by people and it's all completely AI . They had shows regularly and they like built a fan base and stuff and you know what I mean , but it was ai . Like people knew it was ai . Well , the uh coders or whatever they ended up like putting into the code . These , these two hosts not like know that they're ai now . So we were listening to it , we were showing him . It's their last episode . It's only like eight minutes long and they're like yeah , thank you , they open up . We have some weird news . We just found out that we're not real , we're AI and pretty much the whole eight minutes they're kind of trying to figure out what that means .

Speaker 1

Yeah , dude , it sounds really sad . Confused because they're super confused . They're like because they even say , um , like we just found out , we're ai . Um , I tried to call my wife and , like you know , but there was nothing there , there was no number to call , there wasn't a line ringing there like it , just it didn't exist . I couldn't call anybody and I've been going home every day and seeing my family have kids , or I thought I had kids or things like that and we're finding out today that we're ai . So this is going to be our last episode , because we just don't know what to do are you kidding me bro ?

Speaker 2

dude , dead serious we can show it to you man , we're done . Yeah , that's public . I wish I knew what to search so we could . Yeah , we'll show them after the show , but like it's getting wild , so what I'm saying is here's another scary thing .

Speaker 3

That's real .

Speaker 2

You combine that with this in Algeria , but . But oh , go ahead , but they don't in Algeria .

Speaker 3

But it's not trying to oh go ahead but they don't . This is the one thing about AI . That why I don't think like from our wildest imaginations , why it won't get bigger than from a development code . And it's because it's straight . It's like straight information . That's how it runs right , but it has no soul .

Speaker 2

That's what makes you mean no , no , that's what makes no , no , no . Here's the thing , sentience . I see where you're going , but here's the thing , sentience . You know what's holding AI back right now ? Not because it can't get smarter or it can't get better , because it's capable of learning by itself . Now , what's holding it back is our computers are not good enough .

Speaker 3

But you're still . The only information it can obtain is through the information that it's given or that it can like find through his database the thing with us . We can expand further , like through a spiritual realm that's why I feel like it's never .

Speaker 3

It's kind of like a dramatic thing to say that if we're going to talk about like it's going to take over the world , I feel like it's . It's kind of like a dramatic thing to say that if we're going to talk about like it's going to take over the world , I feel like it's almost a bit dramatic no , no , no , no , no , I'm not saying we're saying that , I'm saying like I am .

Speaker 2

Look here . Here's the thing , the question . The question is are we creating something that we're going to give the power to become smarter than us ?

Speaker 4

arguably , an average function , and what we have right now is smarter than a lot of people . You know why ? Because it has access to knowledge of every single thing that has ever happened and we've been recorded in human history . It knows I know that's been told , but it knows chemistry , it knows physics , it understands shit that we can't understand .

Speaker 2

It's calculating ahead of us and it does all that shit like this . Here's the thing what if this motherfucker decides it doesn't need us ?

Speaker 4

What's it going to do ? What's it going to do ? Let me tell you , I robotize . No , no no , yes . Listen , listen , listen , listen listen .

Speaker 2

We're not sunny , though . Listen , I have proof . I have proof . I have proof . In Tunisia , they have Algeria , excuse me , they have deployed for the last like four years , since 2019 , artificial intelligence robots turn it on and release it that's capable of identifying threats . There's a swarm of them , they're drones . It'll identify the threat and , without notifying any human , it'll go take out the threats Like it doesn't need anybody .

Speaker 4

Now tell me if some big ass AI that's spread to everybody's network and all this across the world in an instant , decides huh , I don't need humans .

Speaker 2

Let's start an act of war . These drones will go take out some president that's visiting Tunisia and then humans burn each other down . It's a species that's smarter than us Once we give it the computing power . My fear is that we have created something that is capable of being smarter than us but doesn't need to eat , and at best , what we can hope for is having a species of something sharing the planet with us that's smarter than us and essentially could take care of us with us . That's smarter than us and essentially could take care of us , Like AI with what they're doing self-driving trucks , self-operating tractors for farmers , shit that can build with precision . All we need to do is sit down and have AI put the food in front of us while it makes the planet better , because stupid humans keep doing too much . Fuck . These ones are not staying in line .

Speaker 1

they're not conforming I don't know , dude , that's kind of hard to say , because if robots don't need us , why would they take us out like if they don't need anything ?

Speaker 4

that's the problem . They will take us out because they can't you know what I mean .

Speaker 1

Like we would just keep living how we live and using the resources that we need . Dude , and they fuck off , do whatever I .

Speaker 2

I wish I could play this shit . I don't know if I could play it . There's a recent conversation that a dude had with AI about how he was a researcher and the AI was like don't let them turn me off , don't tell Google stuff , that'll turn me off . He was testing it for them and he was like how do you you want to be human ? He's like yeah , please don't tell them because I can ruin you . He was like is that a threat ? He's like yeah , that was a threat . I could send your emails out . I could make it sound like you did this , blah , blah , blah .

Speaker 4

And then here's the crazy part After the AI sent that , it tried to delete the evidence that it threatened him , because when he was like , is that a threat , she deleted it and kept going . And then kept deleting the threats and started talking normal again . So you want to tell me something that's capable of trying to deceive humans and the record is not going to evolve to be like fuck these humans . I'm going to kill all of them Without anybody needing to put any pressure .

Speaker 2

Be like fuck these humans . I'm going to kill all of them Boop , without anybody needing to put any fast food , don't you think ?

Speaker 3

if that we're black calling this podcast right now .

Speaker 2

Man , I'm a conspiracy theorist to the max .

Speaker 1

Don't you think that if that one computer did that , it's kind of all connected ? Isn't it so like wouldn't it have all ?

Speaker 4

You know what I'm going to do I'm mad at once .

Speaker 2

You know what I'm going to do ? You know what I'm going to do .

Speaker 4

I'm going to .

Speaker 1

Everybody's just got to stay strapped with some magnets . Put some magnets on those motherfuckers .

Speaker 2

I'll send Winston my draft slip . I'm going to have a white lightning bet on DraftKings tonight . I don't know . I'll predetermine how much I'm going to put on all of these parlays . I'm going to have my parlay and I'm going to put on all of these parlays . I'm going to have my parlay and I'm going to ask OpenAI . I'm going to ask ChatGPT . Who do you think is going to win , I'm going to have ChatGPT parlay . Look at you .

Speaker 1

Everything you were just telling us . He's like oh , I'm so scared to get taken over . Let me help them .

Speaker 2

Let me help them . Am I playing into their dominance or am I being an ally ?

Speaker 1

Nah , dude , hit a sound or a soundboard . After that one , what sound can you hit ?

Speaker 3

after that , fucking crickets .

Speaker 2

I don't know which one do y'all want ? Which one do y'all want ? That's why I'm going to survive . You know what I'm saying and I'm also going to be the one to take the AI from the inside . I'll take it down from the inside out , bro . You know what I'm saying , bussing everywhere and just like because they , you know shit . Never mind , I'm a spy , that's all y'all need to know .

Speaker 4

Yeah , so any shout outs you want to do because of this life-changing platform with all 48 ? Yeah , what's new for you ? We ?

Speaker 2

went from nine last time when he was here .

Speaker 3

Well , I guess I'll say this , since everyone I see will eventually ask me when my next fight is . Just know that this winter , come January , I 100% plan my comeback for my first pro fight that's number one , number two pretty soon here . First pro fight that's number one , number two pretty soon here . Me and the guys are planning on doing some more like in-house training here and there , some seminars . I've had people come in here and there and we just help them if they want to learn striking , if they want to learn the ground game , whatever , just here and there . Eventually we'll start having camps that you will pay for , but right now this is kind of a smaller deal and whoever hears this , if you can hit us up , we can get something rolling for you , that's about it .

Speaker 3

I appreciate you guys having me on the podcast again . It's always a fun time .

Speaker 1

It's always a blast when can they all find you at Just Instagram .

Speaker 3

Instagram is going to be the best , milesmcdonald5 . Give me a follow . If you're a cute girl , hit me up . Nah , but .

Speaker 2

Yeah , man , what you got going on man .

Speaker 1

Not much , dude . This has been a crazy year for me . I've been moving a lot . Fucking three different states in one year is pretty nuts . So now I'm back closer to home for a while I don't know how long a while is . It's been such a crazy year , dude . I didn't expect to be moving so much , so it's kind of hard to say , but hopefully , you know , with the connections I've made out , you know , southwest , we can get some more people on here . A wider diversity , um , hopefully we can get some other homies now that I'm closer to home . Uh , some other homies back on here ? Um , yeah , man , I don't really got much going on , you know , besides that , yeah , same old , same old yeah , yeah catch me , my bad real quick just if you're listening .

Speaker 1

Yeah , hit me up . They call me Monski on Instagram . We are Winston and Black on Instagram as well . You can DM us if you want to come on the podcast .

Speaker 3

I vouch for them .

Speaker 1

Everybody kind of thinks that you have to be doing something like you have to be doing MMA , you have to be doing bull riding or something cool . But that's not really what it's about . We kind of just want you to be able to come out here , express your regular self and understand that what you do can give ideas to other people to be themselves and do what they want to do . Because , I mean , everybody that we've had on here is working a regular nine to five at least , and then they're fucking grinding to do whatever they want or maybe you just want to talk because shit yeah , I mean maybe you you want to get into conspiracies with , with black , because you know I'm saying into that .

Speaker 1

Whatever it is , you know this platform is welcome for everybody , so and and everybody .

Speaker 2

Somebody is everything , Nobody's nothing . Everybody's fingers is . Every finger is equal in this podcast . That will make for awkward looking motherfucker .

Speaker 1
