Everybody, we are so excited because we are going to have our first in-person conference in several years, coming up in October. That's going to be October 16 to 18. And we are going to be at the Sandy Cove Retreat Center in Maryland. It is a beautiful location. It's on the Chesapeake Bay. Both the nature around it and the accommodations are five star and we think you're really going to love it.
Speaker 1:It's going to be a great time to gather together with other people who have already been through the Ruach Journey study before. So this is a Ruach Journey level two conference. It's for anyone who either has attended one of our conferences in the past or you have gone through the Ruach Journey video study that is available for sale on our website. You've been listening to our podcast last fall when we did like a 13-week series on Ruach Journey. So anyone who has been through the basic material that is in the Ruach Journey study. And one of the things I love most about this conference is it's not just about the teaching time from the front. It's about meeting and gathering with and talking to other people who've also been through this study and learning from one another.

As long as you've done the work to get your heart prepared and understand the basic principles of living with our spirit, soul and body in alignment with Father, son and Holy Spirit, you are welcome to join us for this conference.

So we are going to be calling these events Road to Ruach because they're going to prepare us, Just like Elizabeth said. They're going to help us have the right understanding and the right frame of mind, prepare our hearts as we come into the Ruach Journey 2 conference in October. One of the first ones that we're going to be doing is going to be in May. It's going to be on May 18th and it's going to be in Memphis. It's going to be at the Memphis Botanic Gardens and we're so excited about that. It's a beautiful area.

Speaker 1:Word of God separates between soul and spirit. Hebrews 4.12 Spirit. Listen to God's Word for you in Hebrews 4.12. The Word of God is living and active, sharper than any double-edged sword. It penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It judges the thoughts and the attitudes of the heart Spirit. God wants you to differentiate between you and the soul so that each part can operate in its designed position. Listen to Hebrews 4.12. In the Amplified Bible.
Speaker 1:The word that God speaks is alive and full of power, making it active, operative, energizing and effective. It is sharper than any double-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life and the immortal spirit and of joints and marrow. That is the deepest parts of our nature exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the thoughts and attitudes and purposes of the heart Spirit. Let God take the sword of His Spirit and cut between soul and spirit to judge what comes from the Spirit and those thoughts and intents that come from the soul. God divides spirit and soul as he exposes your innermost thoughts and desires. You don't do it. That makes a difference. God will separate and strengthen the godly intent of the Spirit of the Lord who is resident in you when the soul is in turmoil from double-mindedness or obsessions or bondage, you, Spirit, cannot be who you are capable of being or do what you are capable of doing. When the soul reacts with unforgiveness or fear or anger or judgment, you get shut down and overruled Spirit.
Speaker 1:Galatians 5, 16, and 17 admonish you to live by the Spirit and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature, for the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want. Paul then lists the acts of the sinful nature which are the speciality of the soul. He contrasts those with the fruit of the Spirit, which are your best characteristics when you are led by God's Spirit Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. The Spirit and the Word of God divide between you and the soul. The soul is not evil, but it is prone to choose its own way. Choose to let the Holy Spirit in you correct the imbalance between you and a strong soul, so that the soul does not push you around with its agenda.
Speaker 1:Spirit stand up for Jesus living in you. The essence of God dwells in you. His word says that you are his home. God will work in you so that the soul doesn't overrule you. He imprinted you with his eternal image. He designed you to know the truth and to reflect his holiness and character. He purposed that his son, the Prince of Peace, will have dominion in you, supplying you with peace in God, peace with God, peace with yourself and peace with others.
