The Father's Business was founded by Sylvia Gunter to encourage people to a deeper relationship with God. Thank you for listening to this devotional. This week's devotional is called the Ministry of Jesus. Oftentimes I think how wonderful it would have been to be alive when Jesus was here on earth and have him minister face to face to me. I mean, I can't imagine what that would be like. But the same power that was available when Jesus was on earth is still with us and he is still Emmanuel God, with us. So receive this devotional today as a blessing to you, knowing that he is here for you and he is near.

Jesus began his ministry by defining his call and his eternal relationship with you. It says in Luke 4, 18 and 19,. The spirit of the Lord is on me because he anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoner and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor. So be blessed to know the mission of Jesus in you, now accomplishing his purposes.

The resurrection power of Jesus is actively working in you and for you. He wants to do a deep and thorough work in every area of your life. Hear the good news Jesus brings to you. You are released from slavery. You are liberated from bondage and oppression. Jesus is speaking life to those places that were bruised, crushed and broken. Receive new vision to see yourself as God sees you. You are his favored child. Open your eyes to see the future he is holding for you. God is calling you forth to become the true son or daughter that you are.

Embrace this season as the year of God's favor. Your father has turned his heart toward you. He's extending his favor towards you. The Holy Spirit testifies with your spirit that you are his. He is assuring you of the freedom and full rights you have in him. Your father's favor blesses you every day. You are blessed in the name of the one who favors you for a lifetime. Open wide and receive it. Be blessed with knowing this new place of grace in your Father's favor.
