In this episode, I discuss the KFC UK campaign launched in February 2020. They highlighted their Finger Licking Good slogan worldwide as COVID-19 became a pandemic.
KFC acted swiftly and pulled the campaign. Their advertising agency and PR agency worked together to rescue the situation by adding disclaimers, caution signs, and even blurring out the tagline.
This was a unique situation for KFC, but they handled it well!
